1Middle–Upper Ordovician(Darriwilian–Early Katian) Positive Carbon Isotope Excursions in the Northern Tarim Basin, Northwest China: Implications for Stratigraphic Correlation and Paleoclimate显示文摘Three positive carbon isotope excursions are reported from Middle–Upper Ordovician in Tahe oil-gas field, northern Tarim Basin. Based on conodont biostratigraphy, the Middle Darriwilian Isotope Carbon Excursion(MDICE) and the Guttenberg Carbon Isotope Excursion(GICE) are identified from Darriwilian to Early Katian by the aid of whole-rock carbon isotope data from two well cores. Positive excursion within conodont Pygodus anserinus zone is developed in Early Sandbian, and the fluctuation range is no less than MDICE. Because the range of this excursion in the generalized global carbon isotope curve is short, previous studies paid little attention to it, and named Early Sandbian Isotope Carbon Excursion(ESICE) in this paper. Furthermore, these positive excursions are not directly related to sea level fluctuations and the MDICE and GICE identified in northern Tarim can be globally correlated to that in southern China, North America, South America, and Europe. The Saergan Fm. source rocks of Middle-Upper Ordovician in Kalpin Dawangou outcrop are in accord with the geologic time of MDICE and ESICE, and GICE have strong ties to the source rock of Lianglitag Fm. in basin. Abundant organic carbon burial is an important factor in genesis of positive isotope carbon excursions. 2Air-sea heat flux exchange over the South China Sea under different weather conditions before and after southwest monsoon onset in 2000显示文摘With the data observed from the Second SCS Air-Sea Flux Experiment on the Xisha air-sea flux research tower, the radiation budget, latent, sensible heat fluxes and net oceanic heat budgetswere caculated before and after summer monsoon onset. It is discovered that, after summer monsoononset, there are considerable changes in air-sea fluxes, especially in latent heat fluxes and net oceanicheat budget. Furthermre, the analyzed results of five synoptic stages are compared. And the character-istics of the flux transfer during different stages around onset of South China Sea monsoon are discussed.The flux change shows that there is an oceanic heat accumulating process during the pre-onset and thebreak period, as same as oceanic heat losing process during the onset period. Moreover, latent fluxes,the water vapor moving to the continent, even the rainfall appearance in Chinese Mainland also can beinfluenced by southwester. Comparing Xisha fluxes with those obtained from the Indian Ocean and thewestern Pacific Ocean, their differences may be obeerved. 3Multiple Dolomitization and Fluid Flow Events in the Precambrian Dengying Formation of Sichuan Basin, Southwestern China显示文摘The Precambrian Dengying Formation is a set of large-scale, extensively dolomitized, carbonate reservoirs occurring within the Sichuan Basin. Petrographic and geochemical studies reveal dolomitization was a direct result of precipitation by chemically distinct fluids occurring at different times and at different intensities. Based on this evidence, dolomitization and multiple fluid flow events are analyzed, and three types of fluid evolution models are proposed. Results of analysis show that Precambrian Dengying Formation carbonates were deposited in a restricted peritidal environment(630–542 Ma). A high temperature and high Mg^(2+) concentration seawater was a direct result of dolomitization for the micrite matrix, and for fibrous aragonite in primary pores. Geochemical evidence shows low δ^(18)O values of micritic dolomite varying from-1.29‰ to-4.52‰ PDB, abundant light rare earth elements(REEs), and low dolomite order degrees. Microbes and meteoric water significantly altered dolomite original chemical signatures, resulting in algal micritic dolomite and the fine-grained, granular, dolosparite dolomite having very negative δ^(18)O values. Finely crystalline cement dolomite(536.3–280 Ma) and coarsely crystalline cement dolomite have a higher crystallization degree and higher order degree. The diagenetic sequence and fluid inclusion evidence imply a linear correlation between their burial depth and homogenization temperatures, which closely resemble the temperature of generated hydrocarbon. Compared with finely crystalline dolomite, precipitation of coarsely crystalline dolomite was more affected by restricted basinal fluids. In addition, there is a trend toward a more negative δ^(18)O value, higher salinity, higher Fe and Mn concentrations, REE-rich. Two periods of hydrothermal fluids are identified, as the exceptionally high temperatures as opposed to the temperatures of burial history, in addition to the presence of high salinity fluid inclusions. The early hydrothermal fluid flow event was characterized by hot magnesium-and silicon-rich fluids, as demonstrated by the recrystallized matrix dolomite that is intimately associated with flint, opal, and microcrystalline quartz in intergranular or intercrystalline pores. This event was likely the result of a seafloor hydrothermal chimney eruption during Episode I of the Tongwan Movement(536.3±5.5 Ma). In contrast, later hydrothermal fluids, which caused precipitation of saddle dolomite, were characterized by high salinity(15–16.05 wt% NaCl equivalent) and homogenization temperatures(250 to 265°C), δ^(18)O values that were more enriched, and REE signatures. Geochemical data and the paragenetic sequence indicate that this hydrothermal fluid was related to extensive Permian large igneous province activity(360–280 Ma). 4A Deep Learning-Based Computational Algorithm for Identifying Damage Load Condition: An Artificial Intelligence Inverse Problem Solution for Failure Analysis显示文摘In this work,we have developed a novel machine(deep)learning computational framework to determine and identify damage loading parameters(conditions)for structures and materials based on the permanent or residual plastic deformation distribution or damage state of the structure.We have shown that the developed machine learning algorithm can accurately and(practically)uniquely identify both prior static as well as impact loading conditions in an inverse manner,based on the residual plastic strain and plastic deformation as forensic signatures.The paper presents the detailed machine learning algorithm,data acquisition and learning processes,and validation/verification examples.This development may have significant impacts on forensic material analysis and structure failure analysis,and it provides a powerful tool for material and structure forensic diagnosis,determination,and identification of damage loading conditions in accidental failure events,such as car crashes and infrastructure or building structure collapses.Shaofei Ren Guorong Chen Tiange Li Qijun Chen Shaofan Li 2018Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2018,,12:3

6The study on three-dimensional numerical model and fronts of the Jiulong Estuary and the Xiamen Bay显示文摘Applying the methods of on-site observation and dynamic model, the research on the fronts at the Jiulong Estuary has been carried out, during which spatial and temporal distribution, dynamic characteristics and formation mechanism of salinity fronts are analyzed and discussed. The research shows that the estuarine fronts mainly lie in the area from the Jiyu Islet to the Haimen Island, outside of Yuweizai to Hulishan cross-section, the near coast of Yuweizai and the south of the Songyu-Gulangyu Channel. The fronts in the former two regions are formed directly by plume, while the one near the coast of Yuweizai is a tidal intrusion front caused by flood current and the one at the south of the Songyu-Gulangyu Channel is the result of current shear transformation. 7Edge detection algorithm based on ICA-domain shrinkage in noisy images显示文摘We propose a robust edge detection method based on ICA-domain shrinkage(independent component analysis) . It is known that most basis functions extracted from natural images by ICA are sparse and similar to localized and oriented receptive fields,and in the proposed edge detection method,a target image is first transformed by ICA basis functions and then the edges are detected or reconstructed with sparse components. Furthermore,by applying a shrinkage algorithm to filter out the components of noise in ICA-domain,we can readily obtain the sparse components of the original image,resulting in a kind of robust edge detection even for a noisy image with a very low SN ratio. 9Critical state to achieve a giant electric field-induced strain with a low hysteresis in relaxor piezoelectric ceramics显示文摘Due to the extrinsic contribution of domain wall motions to electro-strains,the incompatibility of the large electro-strain with a low hysteresis in piezoelectric ceramics is a stumbling block for designing high-performance piezoelectrical actuators.Herein,we report a critical state in relaxor ferroelectric systems enables to enhance the electro-strain and to reduce the hysteresis simultaneously.A room temperature ergodic relaxor state dominated by nanodomains with different local symmetries can be obtained by introducing Bi(Zn_(1/2)Ti_(1/2))TiO_(3) into 0.73 Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_(3)-0.27PbTiO_(3) matrix.Like the morphotropic phase boundary(MPB)in ferroelectrics,the coexistence of different local symmetries is capable of facilitating the transition from the ergodic relaxor state to the ferroelectric under the applied field due to the ease of polarization rotation,thereby leading to a giant electro-stain(0.24%)under an electric field of 50 kV/cm.Furthermore,the field-induced ferroelectric state with the long-range ferroelectric order can spontaneously reverse back to the initial ergodic relaxor state during unloading the electric field,which contributes to a low hysteresis(15.4%).The present work not only introduces a solid solution system with excellent electro-strain properties but also affords a guidance for manipulating the electro-strain behavior by modulating phase structures and domain configurations of piezoelectric ceramics.Xiang Xia Xingan Jiang Jiangtao Zeng Liaoying Zheng Zhenyong Man Huarong Zeng Guorong Li 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,5:2
10Lagrangian-Eulerian simulation of slugging fluidized bed显示文摘This work studies gas-solid slugging fluidized beds with Type-D particles, using two-dimensional sim- ulations based on discrete element model (DEM). DEM performance is quantitatively validated by two commonly accepted correlations for determining slugging behavior. The voidage profiles simulated with bed height corresponding to Baeyens and Geldart (1974) correlation for onset of slugging demonstrate a transitional flow pattern from free bubbling to slugging. The present calculated values for the maximum slugging bed height are in good agreement with the correlation from Matsen et al. (1969). 11The Influence of Wave State and Sea Spray on Drag Coefficient from Low to High Wind Speeds显示文摘Ocean waves alter the roughness of sea surface,and sea spray droplets redistribute the momentum flux at the air-sea interface.Hence,both wave state and sea spray influence sea surface drag coefficient.Based on the new sea spray generation function which depends on sea surface wave,a wave-dependent sea spray stress is obtained.According to the relationship between sea spray stress and the total wind stress on the sea surface,a new formula of drag coefficient at high wind speed is acquired.With the analysis of the new drag coefficient,it is shown that the drag coefficient reduces at high wind speed,indicating that the sea spray droplets can limit the increase of drag coefficient.However,the value of high wind speed corresponding to the initial reduced drag coefficient is not fixed,and it depends on the wave state,which means the influence of wave cannot be ignored.Comparisons between the theoretical and measured sea surface drag coefficients in field and laboratory show that under different wave ages,the theoretical result of drag coefficient could include the measured data,and it means that the new drag coefficient can be used properly from low to high wind speeds under any wave state condition.SHI Jian ZHONG Zhong LI Xunqiang JIANG Guorong ZENG Wenhua LI Yan 2016Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,1:2

13Characteristics of root pullout resistance of Caragana korshinskii Kom.in the loess area of northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,China显示文摘Roots exert pullout resistance under pullout force,allowing plants to resist uprooting.However,the pullout resistance characteristics of taproot-type shrub species of different ages remain unclear.In this study,in order to improve our knowledge of pullout resistance characteristics of taproot systems of shrub species,we selected the shrub species Caragana korshinskii Kom.in different growth periods as the research plant and conducted in situ root pullout test.The relationships among the maximum pullout resistance,peak root displacement,shrub growth period,and aboveground growth indices(plant height and plant crown breadth)were analyzed,as well as the mechanical process of uprooting.Pullout resistance of 4-15 year-old C.korshinskii ranged from 2.49(±0.25)to 14.71(±4.96)kN,and the peak displacement ranged from 11.77(±8.61)to 26.50(±16.09)cm.The maximum pullout resistance and the peak displacement of roots increased as a power function(R^(2)=0.9038)and a linear function(R^(2)=0.8242)with increasing age,respectively.The maximum pullout resistance and the peak displacement increased with increasing plant height;however,this relationship was not significant.The maximum pullout resistance increased exponentially(R^(2)=0.5522)as the crown breadth increased.There was no significant relationship between the peak displacement and crown breadth.The pullout resistance and displacement curve were divided into three stages:the initial nonlinear growth,linear growth,and nonlinear stages.Two modes of failure of a single root occurred when the roots were subjected to vertical loading forces:the synchronous breakage mode and the periderm preferential breakage mode.These findings provide a foundation for further investigation of the soil reinforcement and slope protection mechanisms of this shrub species in the loess area of northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,China.LIU Yabin SHI Chuan YU Dongmei WANG Shu PANG Jinghao ZHU Haili LI Guorong HU Xiasong 2022Journal of Arid Land2022,14,7:2
14An imputed whole-genome sequence-based GWAS approach pinpoints causal mutations for complex traits in a specific swine population显示文摘Sequencing-based genome-wide association studies(GWAS) have facilitated the identification of causal associations between genetic variants and traits in diverse species. However, it is cost-prohibitive for the majority of research groups to sequence a large number of samples. Here, we carried out genotype imputation to increase the density of single nucleotide polymorphisms in a large-scale Swine F;population using a reference panel including 117 individuals, followed by a series of GWAS analyses. The imputation accuracies reached 0.89 and 0.86 for allelic concordance and correlation, respectively. A quantitative trait nucleotide(QTN) affecting the chest vertebrate was detected directly, while the investigation of another QTN affecting the residual glucose failed due to the presence of similar haplotypes carrying wild-type and mutant allelesin the reference panel used in this study. A high imputation accuracy was confirmed by Sanger sequencing technology for the most significant loci. Two candidate genes,CPNE5 and MYH3, affecting meat-related traits were proposed.
