| 1 | Effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance,body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)显示文摘This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance, body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco). Five isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets(42%protein and 9% lipid) were formulated to contain graded levels of arginine(2.44%, 2.64%, 2.81%, 3.01% and3.23% of diet), by supplementing L-Arginine HCI. Seven hundred juvenile yellow catfish with an initial average body weight of 1.13 ± 0.02 g were randomly divided into 5 groups with 4 replicates of 35 fish each and each group was fed one of the diets. After 56 d feeding, fish were exposed to 100 mg/L of ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h. The results showed that weight gain(WG) and specific growth rate(SGR) in2.64% and 2.81% groups were significantly higher than those in 3.23% group(P < 0.05). The feed conversation ratio(FCR) in 2,64%, 2,81% and 3.01% groups was significantly decreased when compared with3,23% group. The protein efficiency ratio(PER) in 2.64% group was significantly higher than that in 2.44%and 3.23% groups(P < 0.05). The condition factor(CF) of fish was significantly higher in 2.81% group than that in 2,44% group(P < 0.05). Dietary arginine levels had no significant effect on hepatosomatic index(HSI), viscerosomatic index(VSI), and whole-body dry matter, crude protein, crude lipid, ash contents, as well as serum total protein(TP), triglyceride(TG), glucose(GLU), urea nitrogen(UN) contents and aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT) activities(P> 0.05). After the fish were challenged to ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h, their cumulative mortality rate in 2.81% group was significantly lower than that in 2.44% group(P < 0.05). The results suggested that dietary arginine level at 2.81%could optimize anti-ammonia-nitrogen stress ability of juvenile yellow catfish and a level of 3.23%arginine seemed to depress the growth performance of fish and decreased their tolerance to the ammonia-nitrogen stress under current study. | 2 | Distributions of chlorophyll a and carbon fixed strength of phyto-plankton in autumn of the southern Huanghai Sea waters显示文摘Chlorophyll a (Chl a) concentration and primary productivity (PP), namely, carbon fixed strength of phytoplankton along four transects in the southern Huanghai Sea (SHS) were studied for their distribution features and controlling mechanisms based on the investigations from 17 October to 3 November 2005. The Chl a concentration in the study waters dynamically changed spatially. Surface Chl a concentrations ranged from 0.11 to 2.38 mg/m 3 with higher and lower values observed in the nutrient-laden inshore waters and central part of the SHS occupied by oligotrophic current, respectively. The vertical distribution of Chl a concentration showed a predominant pattern of subsurface concentration maximum profile. It followed the previous result of the deep dissolved oxygen concentration maximum profile, which was significantly correlated with phytoplankton and regional water mass. The primary productivity of carbon in autumn of the SHS, ranging from 95 to 1 634 mg/(m 2 ·d) mainly varied with nutrient condition, especially phosphate concentration in seawater and hydrological condition. Furthermore, associating the present study results together with previous studies, the annual value of carbon fixed production of phytoplankton in the entire marginal seas of East China (including the Bohai Sea, the Huanghai Sea and the East China Sea) was estimated to be 222 Mt, which accounted for 2% of that in the global margins. Besides, it was as 16.2 times as the annual value of apparent carbon sink strength (13.96 Mt) in the marginal seas of East China. | 3 | Big Grain3, encoding a purine permease, regulates grain size via modulating cytokinin transport in rice显示文摘Grain size is an important agronomic trait affecting grain yield,but the underlying molecular mechanisms remain to be elucidated.Here,we isolated a dominant mutant,big grainy(bg3-D),which exhibits a remarkable increase of grain size caused by activation of the PURINE PERMEASE gene,OsPUP4.BC3/OSPUP4 is predominantly expressed in vascular tissues and is specifically suppressed by exogenous cytokinin application.Hormone profiling revealed that the distribution of different cytokinin forms,in roots and shoots of the bg3-D mutant,is altered.Quantitative reverse transcription-PCR(qRT-PCR)analysis indicated that expression of rice cytokinin type-A RESPONSE REGULATOR(OsRR)genes is enhanced in the roots of the bgj-D mutant.These results suggest that OSPUP4 might contribute to the long-distance transport of cytokinin,by reinforcing cytokinin loading into vascular bundle cells.Furthermore,plants overexpressing OsPUP7,the closest homolog of OsPUP4,also exhibited a similar phenotype to the bg3-D mutant.Interestingly,subcellular localization demonstrated that OSPUP4 was localized on the plasma membrane,whereas OSPUP7 was localized to the endoplasmic reticulum.Based on these findings,we propose that OSPUP4 and OSPUP7 function in a linear pathway to direct cytokinin cell-to-cell transport,affecting both its long-distance movement and local allocation. | Yunhua Xiao Dapu Liu Guoxia Zhang Shaopei Gao Linchuan Liu Fan Xu Ronghui Che Yiqin Wang Hongning Tong Chengcai Chu | 2019 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2019,61,5: | 7 |

| 5 | Impacts of Migration on Urban Environmental Pollutant Emissions in China: A Comparative Perspective显示文摘In recent years,researchers have devoted considerable attention to identifying the causes of urban environmental pollution.To determine whether migrant populations significantly affect urban environments,we examined the relationship between urban environmental pollutant emissions and migrant populations at the prefectural level using data obtained for 90 Chinese cities evidencing net in-migration.By dividing the permanent populations of these cities into natives and migrants in relation to the population structure,we constructed an improved Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population,Affluence and Technology model(STIRPAT)that included not only environmental pollutant emission variables but also variables on the cities’attributes.We subsequently conducted detailed analyses of the results of the models to assess the impacts of natives and migrants on environmental pollutant emissions.The main findings of our study were as follows:1)Migrant populations have significant impacts on environmental emissions both in terms of their size and concentration.Specifically,migrant populations have negative impacts on Air Quality Index(AQI)as well as PM2.5 emissions and positive impacts on emissions of NO2 and CO2.2)The impacts of migrant populations on urban environmental pollutant emissions were 8 to 30 times weaker than that of local populations.3)Urban environmental pollutant emissions in different cities differ significantly according to variations in the industrial structures,public transportation facilities,and population densities. | WANG Guoxia SHI Xiaowei CUI Haiyan JIAO Jing | 2020 | Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,1: | 4 |
| 6 | Cost-benefit analysis of China’s Action Plan for Air Pollution Prevention and Control显示文摘China’s rapid economic growth has caused severe air pollution and public health problems.Therefore,the Chinese government launched the Action Plan for Air Pollution Prevention and Control(hereinafter referred to as the“Air Plan”)in 2013-2017 to improve air quality and safeguard public health.In this study,an analytical framework for a cost-benefit analysis applicable to China was constructed,and the costs and benefits of the implementation of the“Air Plan”in 30 cities and provinces in China from 2013 to 2017 were evaluated.Results show that the total cost of implementation of the“Air Plan”is 1.6511 trillion RMB.The benefits of air quality improvement were determined to be 2.4691 trillion RMB through the willingness-to-pay method to calculate the economic loss of premature deaths.The net benefit related to the implementation of the“Air Plan”was 818 billion RMB.The public health benefit of air quality improvement was 1.5 times the cost of the nationwide implementation of the“Air Plan”.At the provincial level,net benefits that reach 279.3 billion RMB were the highest in Guangdong,whereas the benefit-cost ratio,where the benefit was 5.5 times the cost,was the highest in Fujian.Estimations in this study can serve as a reference for China in formulating similar environmental policies and implementing the “3-year Plan to Defend the Blue Sky”.In addition,these estimations have practical significance for advancing the long-term effective mechanisms of the cost-benefit analysis of China5s environmental policies. | Jing ZHANG Hongqiang JIANG Wei ZHANG Guoxia MA Yanchao WANG Yaling LU Xi HU Jia ZHOU Fei PENG Jun BI Jinnan WANG | 2019 | Frontiers of Engineering Management2019,6,4: | 4 |
| 7 | Improved Electrochemical Performance Based on Nanostructured SnS_2@CoS_2–rGO Composite Anode for Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘A promising anode material composed of SnS_2@CoS_2 flower-like spheres assembled from SnS_2 nanosheets and CoS_2 nanoparticles accompanied by reduced graphene oxide(rGO) was fabricated by a facile hydrothermal pathway. The presence of rGO and the combined merits of SnS_2 and CoS_2 endow the SnS_2@-CoS_2–rGO composite with high conductivity pathways and channels for electrons and with excellent properties as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs). A high capacity of 514.0 mAh g^(-1) at a current density of200 m A g^(-1) after 100 cycles and a good rate capability can be delivered. | 20 | Catalytic performance of perovskite-like oxide doped cerium(La_(2-x)Ce_xCoO_(4±y)) as catalysts for dry reforming of methane显示文摘A series of oxides(La_(2-x)Ce_xCoO_(4±y)) with perovskite-like structure were prepared by the Pechini sol–gel method for dry reforming of methane reaction(DRM). The prepared catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD,TGA, H_2-TPR and SEM. Experimental results indicate that the addition of Ce can impact both sample morphology and catalytic performance significantly compared with La_2CoO_4 catalyst, and LaCeCoO_4 presented the highest catalytic ability among all the samples. The Ce addition tends to increase the specific surface area of La_(2-x)Ce_xCoO_(4±y)from 0.2 to 8.5 m^2·g^(-1), suggesting that LaCeCoO_4 catalyst contained more well-dispersed active sites and more space to reaction.
