| 1 | Nonlinear dynamic modeling of a helicopter planetary gear train for carrier plate crack fault diagnosis显示文摘Planetary gear train plays a significant role in a helicopter operation and its health is of great importance for the flight safety of the helicopter.This paper investigates the effects of a planet carrier plate crack on the dynamic characteristics of a planetary gear train,and thus finds an effective method to diagnose crack fault.A dynamic model is developed to analyze the torsional vibration of a planetary gear train with a cracked planet carrier plate.The model takes into consideration nonlinear factors such as the time-varying meshing stiffness,gear backlash and viscous damping.Investigation of the deformation of the cracked carrier plate under static stress is performed in order to simulate the dynamic effects of the planet carrier crack on the angular displacement of carrier posts.Validation shows good accuracy of the developed dynamic model in predicting dynamic characteristics of a planetary gear train.Fault features extracted from predictions of the model reveal the correspondence between vibration characteristic and the conditions(length and position)of a planet carrier crack clearly. | Fan Lei Wang Shaoping Wang Xingjian Han Feng Lyu Huawei | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3: | 16 |
| 2 | High-precision bio-replication of synthetic drag reduction shark skin显示文摘Nano-long chains were grafted over the replicated micro-grooves of shark skin in a novel attempt to replicate bio-synthetic drag reduction structure with high precision through synthetic bio-replication. Pre-treated shark skin was used as casting template to prepare a flexible female die of silicone rubber by soft die formation. A waterborne epoxy resin was then used to graft long-chains of drag reduction agent and prepare a synthetic drag reduction shark skin with nano-long chain drag reduction interface and lifelike micro-grooves. Replication precision analysis shows that this technology could replicate the complicated three-dimensional morphology of a biological drag reduction surface with high precision. | 3 | Effect of tip geometry and tip clearance on aerodynamic performance of a linear compressor cascade显示文摘The tip leakage flow between a blade and a casing wall has a strong impact on compressor pressure rise capability, efficiency, and stability. Consequently, there is a strong motivation to look for means to minimize its impact on performance. This paper presents the potential of passive tip leakage flow control to increase the aerodynamic performance of highly loaded compressor blades. Experimental investigations on a linear compressor cascade equipped with blade winglets mounted to the blade tips have been carried out. Results for a variation of the tip clearance and the winglet geometry are presented. Current results indicate that the use of proper tip winglets in a compressor cascade can positively affect the local aerodynamic field by weakening the tip leakage vortex. Results also show that the suction-side winglets are aerodynamically superior to the pressure-side or combined winglets. | 5 | Lamb wave sensors array for nonviscous liquid sensing显示文摘The interdigital transducer (IDT) can excite Lamb wave in a piezoelectric plate loading with a liquid layer, and the phase velocity of Lamb wave is associated with the properties of the liquid layer. In this paper, the concept of effective permittivity is introduced to study the Lamb wave's potential application in liquid sensing. Considering the measuring of ideal nonviscous liquid, the sensors array is designed to sense the density and the dielectric constant of the liquid layer simultaneously. Using LiNbO3 as piezoelectric material, in order to improve the sensors array sensitivity and the electro-mechanical coupling coefficient, the optimized results including plate thicknesses and cut orientations are presented by numerical simulation. | 6 | Soft-Control for Collective Opinion of Weighted DeGroot Model显示文摘The DeGroot model is a classic model to study consensus of opinion in a group of individuals(agents). Consensus can be achieved under some circumstances. But when the group reach consensus with a convergent opinion value which is not what we expect, how can we intervene the system and change the convergent value? In this paper a mechanism named soft control is first introduced in opinion dynamics to guide the group's opinion when the population are given and evolution rules are not allowed to change. According to the idea of soft control, one or several special agents,called shills, are added and connected to one or several normal agents in the original group. Shills act and are treated as normal agents. The authors prove that the change of convergent opinion value is decided by the initial opinion and influential value of the shill, as well as how the shill connects to normal agents. An interesting and counterintuitive phenomenon is discovered: Adding a shill with an initial opinion value which is smaller(or larger) than the original convergent opinion value dose not necessarily decrease(or increase) the convergent opinion value under some conditions. These conditions are given through mathematical analysis and they are verified by the numerical tests. The authors also find out that the convergence speed of the system varies when a shill is connected to different normal agents. | 8 | QTL mapping of drought tolerance traits in soybean with SLAF sequencing显示文摘Drought stress is an important factor affecting soybean yield.Improving drought tolerance of soybean varieties can increase yield and yield stability when the stress occurs.Identifying QTL related to drought tolerance using molecular marker-assisted selection is able to facilitate the development of drought-tolerant soybean varieties.In this study,we used a high-yielding and drought-sensitive cultivar‘Zhonghuang 35’and a drought-tolerant cultivar‘Jindou 21’to establish F6:9 recombinant inbred lines.We constructed a highdensity genetic map using specific locus amplified fragment sequencing(SLAF-Seq)technology.The genetic map contained 8078 SLAF markers distributing across 20 soybean chromosomes with a total genetic distance of 3780.98 c M and an average genetic distance of0.59 c M between adjacent markers.Two treatments(irrigation and drought)were used in the field tests,the Additive-Inclusive Composite Interval Mapping(ICIM-ADD)was used to call QTL,and plant height and seed weight per plant were used as the indicators of drought tolerance.We identified a total of 23 QTL related to drought tolerance.Among them,seven QTL(q PH2,q PH6,q PH7,q PH17,q PH19-1,q PH19-2,and q PH19-3)on chromosomes 2,6,7,17,and 19 were related to plant height,and five QTL(q SWPP2,q SWPP6,q SWPP13,q SWPP17,and q SWPP19)on chromosomes 2,6,13,17,and 19 were related to seed weight and could be considered as the major QTL.In addition,three common QTL(q PH6/q SWPP6,q PH17/q SWPP17,and q PH19-3/q SWPP19)for both plant height and seed weight per plant were located in the same genomic regions on the same chromosomes.Three(q PH2,q PH17,and q PH19-2)and four novel QTL(q SWPP2,q SWPP13,q SWPP17,and q SWPP19)were identified for plant height and seed weight per plant,respectively.Two pairs of QTL(q PH2/q SWPP2 and q PH17/q SWPP17)were also common for both plant height and seed weight per plant.These QTL and closely linked SLAF markers could be used to accelerate breeding for drought tolerant cultivars via MAS. | Honglei Ren Jianan Han Xingrong Wang Bo Zhang Lili Yu Huawei Gao Huilong Hong Rujian Sun Yu Tian Xusheng Qi Zhangxiong Liu Xiaoxia Wu Li-Juan Qiu | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,6: | 2 |
| 9 | Spatial distribution pattern of seafloor hydrothermal vents to the southeastern Kueishan Tao offshore Taiwan Island显示文摘Investigations of the diffusion activities both within and outside the seafloor hydrothermal vents, as well as related mineral genesis, have been one of the key focuses of ocean biogeochemistry studies. Many hydrothermal vents are distributed close to the southern Okinawa Trough on the less-than-30-m deep shallow seafloor off Kueishan Tao, northeast of Taiwan Island. Investigations of temperature, pH and Eh at four depths of hydrothermal plume were carried out near Kueishan Tao at the white(24.83°N, 121.96°E) and yellow(24.83°N, 121.96°E) vents. An 87 h of temperature time series observation-undertaken near the white vent showed that tide is the main factor affecting the background environment. Based on the observed data, 3-dimensional sliced diffusion fields were obtained and analyzed. It was concluded that the plume diffused mainly from north to south due to ebb tide. The yellow vent's plume could effect as far as the white vent surface. From the temperature diffusion field, the vortices of the plume were observed. | 17 | A multi-channel chemical sensor and its application in detecting hydrothermal vents显示文摘There are well-established chemical and turbidity anomalies in the plumes occurring vicinity of hydrothermal vents, which are used to indicate their existence and locations. We here develop a small, accurate multi-channel chemical sensor to detect such anomalies which can be used in deep-sea at depths of more than 4 000 m. The design allowed five all-solid-state electrodes to be mounted on it and each (apart from one reference electrode) could be changed according to chemicals to be measured. Two experiments were conducted using the chemical sensors. The first was a shallow-sea trial which included sample measurements and in situ monitoring. pH, Eh, CO3^2- and SO4^2- electrodes were utilized to demonstrate that the chemical sensor was accurate and stable outside the laboratory. In the second experiment, the chemical sensor was integrated with pH, Eh, CO3^2- and H2S electrodes, and was used in 29 scans of the seabed along the Southwest Indian Ridge (SWIR) to detect hydrothermal vents, from which 27 sets of valid data were obtained. Hydrothermal vents were identified by analyzing the chemical anomalies, the primary judging criteria were decreasing voltages of Eh and H2S, matched by increasing voltages of pH and CO3^2- . We proposed that simultaneous detection of changes in these parameters will indicate a hydrothermal vent. Amongst the 27 valid sets of data, five potential hydrothermal vents were targeted using the proposed method.
