| 2 | Active dry yeast supplementation improves the growth performance,rumen fermentation, and immune response of weaned beef calves显示文摘The objective of this experiment was to investigate the potential benefits of active dry yeast(ADY)on the growth performance,rumen fermentation,nutrient digestibility,and serum parameters of weaned beef calves.Thirty Simmental crossbred male calves(body weight=86.47±4.41 kg and 70±4 d of age)were randomly divided into 2 groups:control(CON)(fed basal ration)and ADY(fed basal ration and 5 g/d ADY per calf).The dietary concentrate-to-roughage ratio was 35:65.All the calves were regularly provided rations 3 times a day at 07:00,13:00,and 19:00 and had free access to wate r.The experiment lasted for 60 d.The average daily gain of ADY group was higher(P=0.007)than that of the CON group,and the ratio of feed intake to average daily gain in the ADY group was reduced(P=0.022)as compared to the CON group.The concentration of ruminal ammonia-N was higher(P=0.023)in the CON group than that in the ADY group,but an opposite trend of microbial protein was found between the 2 groups.Also,the ruminal concentrations of propionate and butyrate were higher(P<0.05)in the ADY group than those in the CON group.Calves fed ADY exhibited higher(P<0.05)crude protein and neutral detergent fiber digestibility.Supplementation of ADY increased(P<0.05)the contents of glucose,glutathione peroxidase,superoxide dismutase,immunoglobulin A,immunoglobulin M,and interleukin 10 in the serum of calves,but an opposite trend was observed in malondialdehyde,interleukin 1 beta,and tumor necrosis factor alpha contents between the 2 groups.In conclusion,dietary supplementation with ADY could improve the growth performance,rumen fermentation,nutrient digestibility,antioxidant ability,and immune response of weaned beef calves. | Jian Ma Cheng Wang Zhisheng Wang Guang Cao Rui Hu Xueying Wang Huawei Zou Kun Kang Quanhui Peng Bai Xue Lizhi Wang Yueming Zhu Xiaopeng Zhu | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 7 |

| 4 | Robust Watermarking of Mobile Video Resistant against Barrel Distortion显示文摘In head mounted display(HMD),in order to cancel pincushion distortion,the images displayed on the mobile should be prewarped with barrel distortion.The copyright of the mobile video should be verified on both the original view and the pre-warped virtual view.A robust watermarking resistant against barrel distortion for HMDs is proposed in this paper.Watermark mask is embedded into image in consideration of imperceptibility and robustness of watermarking.In order to detect watermark from the pre-warped image with barrel distortion,an estimation method of the barrel distortion is proposed for HMDs.Then,the same warp is enforced on the embedded watermark mask with the estimated parameters of barrel distortion.The correlation between the warped watermark and the pre-warped image is computed to predicate the existence of watermark.As shown in experimental results,watermark of mobile video can be detected not only from the original views,but also from the pre-warped virtual view.It also shows that the proposed scheme is resistant against combined barrel distortion and common post-processing,such as JPEG compression. | Huawei Tian Yanhui Xiao Gang Cao Jianwei Ding Bo Ou | 2016 | China Communications2016,13,9: | 2 |
| 5 | The detection of micrometastases in the peripheral blood of patients with breast cancer for hSBEM mRNA and CD44V6 mRNA显示文摘Objective: Successful treatment of breast cancer greatly depends on the early detection of its metastasis, there- fore a sensitive and specific biomarker for detecting dissemination of the cancer cells will help to achieve this goal. This study was to evaluate the prognostic significance of human small breast epithelial mucin (hSBEM) and CD44V6 in breast cancer. Methods: The expressions of hSBEM mRNA and CD44V6 mRNA were detected with nested reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (nested RT-PCR) in 67 samples of breast cancer and adjacent normal breast tissue, 16 samples of breast benign lesions tissue, and 67 specimens of peripheral blood from patients with breast cancer, 16 specimens of benign breast lesions, 20 specimens of healthy volunteers, and 25 (each five cases) other carcinomas tissue samples, including those of gastric carcinoma, colorectal carcinoma, esophageal carcinoma, lung carcinoma, and ovary carcinoma, were ana- lyzed for hSBEM mRNA expression by nested RT-PCR. Results: hSBEM mRNA expression was observed in 62/67 (92.54%) of breast cancer, 14/16 (87.50%) of breast benign lesions and 59/67 (88.05%) of normal breast tissue, with no significant differences between them (P > 0.05). None of the samples from other cancer tissues were positive. In peripheral blood the expression of hSBEM mRNA was detected in 34/67 (50.75%) from patients with breast cancer, with significant increasing (P < 0.05) in the cases of metastatic disease (stage IV) and those with lymph node metastasis compared with localized disease (stage I, II and III) and without lymph node metastasis, but its expression was not found in peripheral blood of patients with benign breast lesions or healthy volunteers. Although CD44V6 mRNA was significantly higher in breast cancer than in benign breast lesions tissue and normal breast tissue, its expression in peripheral blood show no significant difference (P > 0.05) in the patients with breast cancer (82.09%), benign breast lesion (75.00%), or healthy volunteers (70.00%). The expressions of hSBEM mRNA and CD44V6 mRNA had no correlation with the age of the patients, size of primary tumor, histological type and estrogen or progestin receptor status (P > 0.05). Conclusion: hSBEM mRNA, as assessed by nested RT-PCR, shows a mammary-specific and mammary-sensitive expression, and is a sensitive indicator of hematogeneous spread of breast cancer cell, while CD44V6 shows low sensitivity and specificity in detecting dissemination of breast cancer cell in peripheral blood. hSBEM mRNA is a promising molecular biomarker for detecting breast cancer micrometastases. | Jianlun Liu Huawei Yang Ji Cao Nanwu Yang | 2008 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2008,7,1: | 2 |

| 8 | Reconfigurable,graphene-coated,chalcogenide nanowires with a sub-10-nm enantioselective sorting capability显示文摘Chiral surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs)produced by plasmonic nanowires can be used to enhance molecular spectroscopy for biosensing applications.Nevertheless,the switchable stereoselectivity and detection of various analytes are limited by a lack of switchable,chiral SPPs.Using both finite-element method simulations and analytic calculations,we present a graphene-coated chalcogenide(GCC)nanowire that produces mid-infrared,chiral SPPs.The chiral SPPs can be reversibly switched between“on”(transparent)and“off”(opaque)by non-volatile structural state transitions in the dielectric constants of the chalcogenide glass Ge2Sb2Te5.Furthermore,by controlling the Fermi energy of the graphene-coating layer,the nanowire can output either non-chiral or chiral SPPs.A thermal-electric model was built to illustrate the possibility of ultrafast on/off switching of the SPPs at the terminus of the nanowire.Finally,we show that a selective,lateral sorting of sub-10-nm enantiomers can be achieved via the GCC nanowire.Chiral nanoparticles with opposite handedness experience transverse forces that differ in both their sign and magnitude.Our design may pave the way for plasmonic nanowire networks and tunable nanophotonic devices,which require the ultrafast switching of SPPs,and provide a possible approach for a compact,enantiopure synthesis. | Tun Cao Long Tian Huawei Liang Kai-Rong Qin | 2018 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2018,4,1: | 1 |
| 9 | Effects of Supplemental Carbohydrate Sources on Lactation Performance, Nitrogen Balance,and Ruminal Fermentation in Dairy Cows Fed Energy-Deficient Total Mixed Rations显示文摘The effects of supplemental carbohydrate (CHO) sources on milk yield and composition, nitrogen (N) balance,and ruminal fermentation were evaluated in lactating dairy cows fed energy-deficient total mixed rations (TMR) . Fifty-six lactating Holstein cows (36. 8 ± 3. 4 kg / d of milk yield; 152 ± 26 days in milk [DIM]) were randomly assigned to one of four diets: (1) basal TMR (control) ; (2) basal TMR + 1. 25 kg / d sucrose (SUC) ; (3) basal TMR + 2. 12 kg /d steam-flaked corn (SFC) ; (4) basal TMR + 2. 23 kg / d wheat (WHE) . The trial lasted 70 days,including the first 10 days of adaptation. Simultaneously, a 4 × 4 Latin square trial was conducted with four ruminally cannulated cows of similar DMI (Dry Matter Intake) fed on the above four diets. Each testing period lasted 18 days: 15 days for adaptation and 3 days for sampling. Cows fed SUC-,SFC-,and WHE-supplemented diets produced 1. 6,2. 9,and 0. 8 kg / d,respectively,more milk than those on the basal TMR control diet,but the difference was not significant (P = 0. 160) . However,the production of energy-corrected milk of cows fed CHO-supplemented diets improved significantly (P = 0. 020) ,and the yield of 4% fatcorrected milk tended to be higher (P = 0. 063) than in control animals. Percentages of milk protein,lactoseand solids-not-fat (SNF) increased significantly in cows fed CHO-supplemented diets (P < 0. 05) ,and yields of milk protein and SNF were significantly higher (P <0. 05) ; yields of milk fat and lactose were somewhat higher (P < 0. 10) . Cows receiving supplementary CHO diets consumed more DM (Dry Matter) (P = 0. 023) ; however,there was no significant difference in N retention,digestibility,or utilization efficiency among the treatments (P > 0. 10) . The average ruminal pH was lowest in cows supplemented with SUC,while that in cows supplemented with SFC and WHE was only slightly reduced (P = 0. 025) . Ruminal NH 3 -N concentration was highest with no supplementary CHO (P = 0. 017) ,and changes in postfeeding time were similar across the diets. Total volatile fatty acid concentration was significantly lower in control animals than in those on SUCand WHE-supplemented diets (P = 0. 001) ; significant dietary responses were observed in the concentrations of acetate,butyrate,and branchedchain fatty acids and in the acetate-to-propionate ratio (P <0. 001) . | 11 | User Profiling for CSDN:Keyphrase Extraction,User Tagging and User Growth Value Prediction显示文摘The Chinese Software Developer Network(CSDN)is one of the largest information technology communities and service platforms in China.This paper describes the user profiling for CSDN,an evaluation track of SMP Cup 2017.It contains three tasks:(1)user document keyphrase extraction,(2)user tagging and(3)user growth value prediction.In the first task,we treat keyphrase extraction as a classification problem and train a Gradient-Boosting-Decision-Tree model with comprehensive features.In the second task,to deal with class imbalance and capture the interdependency between classes,we propose a two-stage framework:(1)for each class,we train a binary classifier to model each class against all of the other classes independently;(2)we feed the output of the trained classifiers into a softmax classifier,tagging each user with multiple labels.In the third task,we propose a comprehensive architecture to predict user growth value.Our contributions in this paper are summarized as follows:(1)we extract various types of features to identify the key factors in user value growth;(2)we use the semi-supervised method and the stacking technique to extend labeled data sets and increase the generality of the trained model,resulting in an impressive performance in our experiments.In the competition,we achieved the first place out of 329 teams. | Guoliang Xing Hao Gao Qi Cao Xinyu Yue Bingbing Xu Keting Cen Huawei Shen | 2019 | Data Intelligence2019,1,2: | 0 |
| 12 | Integration of chemical and biological methods:A case study of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons pollution monitoring in Shandong Peninsula,China显示文摘Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),as persistent toxic substances(PTS),have been widely monitored in coastal environment,including seawater and sediment.However,scientific monitoring methods,like ecological risk assessment and integrated biomarker response,still need massive researches to verify their availabilities.This study was performed in March,May,August and October of 2018 at eight sites,Yellow River estuary(S1),Guangli Port(S2),Xiaying(S3),Laizhou(S4),Inner Bay(S5),Outer Bay(S6),Hongdao(S7)and Hongshiya(S8)of Shandong Peninsula,China.The contents of 16 priority PAHs in local seawater and sediment were determined,by which ecological risk assessment risk quotient(RQ)for seawater and sediment quality guidelines(SQGs)were calculated to characterize the PAHs pollution.Meanwhile,multiple biomarkers in the digestive gland of clam Ruditapes philippinarum were measured to represent different biological endpoints,including ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase(EROD),glutathione S-transferase(GST),sulfotransferase(SULT),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and lipid peroxidation(LPO),by which integrated biomarker response(IBR)was calculated to provide a comprehensive assessment of environmental quality.Taken together,these results revealed the heaviest pollution at S2 as both PAHs concentrations and biomarkers responses reflected,and supported the integrated biomarker response as a useful tool for marine environmental monitoring,through its integration with SQGs. | Zeyuan Li Yunhao Cao Huawei Qin Yuanqing Ma Luqing Pan Jiawei Sun | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1: | 0 |
