2Inhibition of bromophenols against PTP1B and anti-hyperglycemic effect of Rhodomela confervoides extract in diabetic rats显示文摘Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) plays an important role as a negative regulator in insulin signaling pathways. PTP1B is an effective target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Four bromophenol derivatives from red algae Rhodomela confervoides, 2,2′,3,3′-tetrabromo-4,4′,5,5′-tetra- hydroxydiphenyl methane (1), 3-bormo-4,5-bis(2,3-dibromo-4,5-dihydroxybenzyl) pyrocatechol (2), bis(2,3-dibromo-4,5-dihydroxybenzyl) ether (3) and 2,2′,3-tribromo-3′,4,4′,5-tetrahydroxy-6′-ethyloxy- methyldiphenylmethane (4) showed significant inhibitory activity against PTP1B (IC50 were 2.4, 1.7, 1.5 and 0.84 μmol/L, respectively) as potential therapeutical agents for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The anti-hyperglycemic effects of the ethanol extracts from R. confervoides on streptozoto- cin-induced diabetes (STZ-diabetes) in male Wistar rats fed with high fat diet were investigated. The STZ-diabetic rats treated with medium-dose and high-dose alga extracts showed remarkable reductions in fasting blood glucose (FBG) as compared with the STZ-diabetic control. 3Microscopic inspection and tracking of single upconversion nanoparticles in living cells显示文摘Nanoparticles have become new tools for cell biology imaging1,sub-cellular sensing2,super-resolution imaging3,4 and drug delivery5.Long-term 3D tracking of nanoparticles and their intracellular motions have advanced the understanding of endocytosis and exocytosis as well as of active transport processes6–8.The sophisticated operation of correlative optical-electron microscopy9,10 and scientific-grade cameras is often used to study intercellular processes.Nonetheless,most of these studies are still limited by the insufficient sensitivity for separating a single nanoparticle from a cluster of nanoparticles or their aggregates8,11,12.Here we report that our eyes can track a single fluorescent nanoparticle that emits over 4000 photons per 100 milliseconds under a simple microscope setup.By tracking a single nanoparticle with high temporal,spectral and spatial resolution,we show the measurement of the local viscosity of the intracellular environment.Moreover,beyond the colour domain and 3D position,we introduce excitation power density as the fifth dimension for our eyes to simultaneously discriminate multiple sets of single nanoparticles.Fan Wang Shihui Wen Hao He Baoming Wang Zhiguang Zhou Olga Shimoni Dayong Jin 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:9
4A novel imidazoline derivative as corrosion inhibitor for P110 carbon steel in hydrochloric acid environment显示文摘novel imidazoline derivative,2-methyl-4-phenyl-1-tosyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole(IMI),was prepared and investigated as corrosion inhibitor for P110 carbon steel in 1.0 M HCl solution by weight loss measurements,potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)tests.The inhibition efficiency increased with the rising concentration of IMI inhibitor.The test results and fitting data indicated that the IMI behaved as a mixed-type inhibitor and obeys the Langmuir adsorption isotherm.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)was carried out to investigate the surface of carbon steel specimens,showing great protection from aggressive solution.Finally,inhibition mechanism of IMI on metal surface was further discussed.Lei Zhang Yi He Yanqiu Zhou Ranran Yang Qiangbin Yang Dayong Qing Qianhe Niu 2015Petroleum2015,1,3:5
5Water cycle evolution in the Haihe River Basin in the past 10000 years显示文摘The water shortage problem in the Haihe River Basin is the most severe in China, and has restricted its economic development. Over-extraction of groundwater has been very severe in the past 30 years. To solve this problem, scientific decisions should be made from a historical perspective. It is important to describe water cycle evolution in the Haihe River basin over the past 10000 years. Datasets of paleoclimate, paleogeography, palynoflora, historical record, isotopic abundance ratio and content were collected for research on different time scales. Some interesting conclusions were drawn by a comprehensive analysis method. First, radiation was the intrinsic force driving the evolution of water cycle. Generally, precipitation increased with temperature. Second, precipitation was high during 8 ka-5 ka B.P., the so-called Yangshao warm period of the Middle Holocene, which recharged the major part of the Quaternary groundwater. Third, heavy floods during this period transported sediment to the seaside, forming the Coastal Plain where cities such as Tianjin, Huanghua, Cangzhou are now located. In the last 3000 years, intermittent moderate floods did not have enough energy to transport sediment to the sea. Rivers usually overflowed in the piedmont region of the Taihang Mountains, and sediment deposited there formed the Piedmont Plain, where locate Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Handan, Baoding and other cities. Precipitation had a high correlation with temperature in Haihe River Basin in the past 10000 years: the high temperature usually coupled with high precipitation. Today precipitation in the Haihe River Basin is relatively low, owing to low temperature. 9A homogeneous DNA assay by recovering inhibited emission of rare earth ions-doped upconversion nanoparticles显示文摘Robust and easy-to-use kits specific for a particular DNA sequence are desirable for early detection of diseases. However, the major challenge with these tests is often the background fluorescence artifacts arising from biological species due to employing UV and visible range of light. Here, we have reported a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence 'turn-on' kit based on rare earth ions doped nanoparticles, upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs), and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), which forms a fluorescence-quencher pair,brought together by a hairpin structure through the formation of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), with quenched upconversion luminescence. In the presence of analytes, the molecular beacon opens to push AuNPs away from UCNPs, with a distance longer than the efficient quenching distance, so that the inhibited upconversion emission will be restored. 11Mu-Net:Multi-Path Upsampling Convolution Network for Medical Image Segmentation显示文摘Medical image segmentation plays an important role in clinical diagnosis,quantitative analysis,and treatment process.Since 2015,U-Net-based approaches have been widely used formedical image segmentation.The purpose of the U-Net expansive path is to map low-resolution encoder feature maps to full input resolution feature maps.However,the consecutive deconvolution and convolutional operations in the expansive path lead to the loss of some high-level information.More high-level information can make the segmentationmore accurate.In this paper,we propose MU-Net,a novel,multi-path upsampling convolution network to retain more high-level information.The MU-Net mainly consists of three parts:contracting path,skip connection,and multi-expansive paths.The proposed MU-Net architecture is evaluated based on three different medical imaging datasets.Our experiments show that MU-Net improves the segmentation performance of U-Net-based methods on different datasets.At the same time,the computational efficiency is significantly improved by reducing the number of parameters by more than half.Jia Chen Zhiqiang He Dayong Zhu Bei Hui Rita Yi Man Li Xiao-Guang Yue 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,4:1

16China’s migrant population and health显示文摘Population flow brings vitality to China’s economy and society,while at the same time it also impacts traditional social structures and culture.In recent years,with the gradual disappearance of the“demographic dividend”and the advancement of economic structural transformation and upgrading,there have been changes to China’s population flow that are worth of noting.In particular,the changing health status of China’s migrant population has attracted the attention of scholars.Because non-migrant and migrant populations have significant behavioral and lifestyle differences,and because living environments and the provision and utilization of medical and health care services differ,the health status of the two populations are different.Young migrants are more prone to mental health problems than young non-migrants,while migrant women of childbearing age are likely have reproductive health problems than local women.The health status of young and middle-aged migrants will deteriorate with the extension of their flowing time.For elderly migrants,social support has a positive effect on health status.At present,China’s migrant population is threatened by infectious diseases,chronic non-infectious diseases and mental illnesses,while the supply of basic public health services is insufficient.Therefore,health work for migrant populations should occur against the backdrop of the“Comprehensive Health”,with this being used as a guideline.At the same time,health planning should make use of social integration and health promotion,equalization of basic public health care services,“Internet+”,and other schemes to improve the health status of the migrant population.Hong He Jiao Zhang Dayong Xiu 2019China Population and Development Studies2019,3,3:1
17Crystallographic and NMR studies on sterols from green alga Chaetomorpha basiretorsa Setchell显示文摘Chemical investigation of the ethanol extract of the marine green alga Chaetomorpha basiretorsa Setchell led to the isolation of a new sterol stigmast-4,28-dien-3α,6β-diol 1 in addition to the five known sterols of β-lawsaritol 2,saringosterol 3,24-hydroperoxy-24-vinyl-cholesterol 4,β-stigmasterol 5,29-hydroxystigmasta-5,24(28)-dien-3β-ol 6. Compounds were isolated by normal phase silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 gel colum chromatography,reverse phase HPLC and recrystalization. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods including MS,IR 1D/2D NMR and X-ray analysis. Cytotoxicity of compounds was screened by using the standard MTT method. 18Preparation of MnO2 Loaded Hydrothermal Carbon-coated Electrospun PAN Fiber Membranes for Highly Efficient Adsorption and Separation of Cationic Dye显示文摘Hydrothermal carbonaceous materials and MnO2 have been proved to be promising adsorbents to remove organic dyes from wastewater.In this study,flexible MnO2 loaded hydrothermal carbon-coated electrospun poly-acrylonitrile(AC/MnO/PAN)fiber membranes were fabricated by a facile one-step hydrothermal method and activated by NaOH solution.The composite fibers exhibited large adsorption capacity toward cationic dyes and ex-cellent mechanical properties.The adsorption performance can be ftted well with pseudo-second order model and Langmuir isotherm model.The maximum adsorption for methylene blue(MB),methyI violet(MV)and malachite green(MG)are 1173.27,1106.31 and 1129.89 mg/g,respectively,according to Langmuir ftting.The AC/MnO/PAN fiber membrane also showed satisfactory performances for selective adsorption and recyclability.In addition,based on selective adsorption,the AC/MnOz/PAN fiber membranes that are repulsive to the anionic dye methyl orange(MO)can separate the MB/MO mixture solution by dynamic filration.Thus,this work not only provides a facile strategy to fabricate large capacity adsorbents,but also dermonstrates the potential appications in the dye wastewater treatment field.WANG Yuannan LI Wenyan CHAO Shen LI Yanzi LI Xiang HE Dayong WANG Ce 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,6:0
19On-Chip Fabrication of Carbon Nanoparticle–Chitosan Composite Membrane显示文摘The on-chip fabrication of a carbon nanoparticle–chitosan composite membrane(i.e. a sorbent membrane or a mixed matrix membrane) using laminar flow-based interfacial deprotonation technology was presented in this paper. In addition, the effects of carbon nanoparticles and reactant flow rates on membrane formation were investigated. Finally, the permeability and adsorption capacities of the membrane were discussed. During fabrication, an acidic chitosan solution and a basic buffer solution that contained carbon nanoparticles were introduced into a microchannel. At the flow interface, a freestanding composite membrane with embedded carbon nanoparticles was formed due to the deprotonation of the chitosan molecules. The membrane growth gradually stopped with time from upstream to downstream and the thickness of the membrane increased rapidly and then slowly along the reactant flow direction.The formation of the membrane was divided into two stages. The average growth rate in the first stage was significantly larger than the average growth rate in the second stage. Carbon nanoparticles in the basic solution acted as nucleating agents and made the membrane formation much easier. As the flow rate of the chitosan solution increased, the averaged membrane thickness and the membrane hydraulic permeability initially increased and then decreased. Because of the addition of carbon nanoparticles, the formed membrane had adsorption abilities. 20Adsorption and Visible Light Photocatalytic Degradation of Electrospun PAN@W_(18)O_(49) Nanofibers显示文摘Low density and high porosity polyacrylonitrile(PAN)nanofibers prepared by electrospinning were used as brackets for photocatalyst W_(18)O_(49) to prepare a kind of light weight and easy recycling water purification material for the first time.The influence of tungsten source concentration on the formation of W_(18)O_(49) during a solvothermal process was systematically investigated.The prepared PAN@W_(18)O_(49) nanofibers(NFs)utilize the outstanding visible light photocatalytic performance and the adsorption performance of W_(18)O_(49),and at the same time give the advantages of low density and easy recyclability.The pollutant removal performance of the composite nanofibers was investigated by using five contaminants including rhodamine B(RhB),methylene blue(MB),malachite green(MG),methyl orange(MO)and chlortetracycline(CTC)as substrates.Among them,the degradation process of rhodamine B has been studied in detail.After five cycles,the degradation efficiency did not decrease significantly,showing excellent reusability of PAN@W_(18)O_(49) NFs.Besides,the adsorption performance of PAN@W_(18)O_(49) NFs during the photocatalytic process was also studied in detail.Compared with recently reported literature,the degradation efficiency of organic pollutants by PAN@W_(18)O_(49) NFs showed better performance,and PAN@W_(18)O_(49) NFs felt had a promising prospect in the field of degradation of contaminants.MA Yuying HE Dayong LIU Jiadi WANG Yuannan YANG Mei WANG Hao QIU Ju LI Wenyan LI Yongxin WANG Ce 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3:0
