| 1 | Purification and Characterization of a New Ribosome Inactivating Protein from Cinchonaglycoside C-treated Tobacco Leaves显示文摘A new ribosome-inactivating protein(RIP)with a molecular weight of 31 kDa induced by Cinchonaglycoside C(1)designatedCLP31,was isolated from tobacco leaves.Analysis of this protein sequence indicated that it belongs to the RIP family and itwas distinct from the other plant RIPs reported previously at its N-terminal amino acid sequence.CIP31 can directly impairsynthesis of coat protein(CP)of tobacco mosaic virus(TMV),which resulted in inhibition of TMV long distance movementand multiplication in tobacco plants at concentrations of ng/mL.Furthermore,no toxicity was shown to the growth andfertility of the plants.CIP31 was synthesized only in the presence of Cinchonaglycoside C(1)and was independent of thesalicylic acid(SA)signal pathway.We provided evidence for the SA-independent biological induction of resistance. | Yanmei Li Yantao Jia Zhongkai Zhang Xiaoying Chen Hongping He Rongxiang Fang Xiaojiang Hao | 2007 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2007,49,9: | 8 |

| 3 | New phenylpyridone derivatives from the Penicillium sumatrense GZWMJZ-313,a fungal endophyte of Garcinia multiflora显示文摘Citridones E-G (1-3), three new phenylpyridone derivatives together with two known curvularins (4 and 5) were isolated from the solid culture of the endophytic fungus Penicillium sumatrense GZWMJZ-313 in Garcinia multiflora. The structures of new compounds were determined in the light of spectroscopic data,X-ray and ECD calculation. | 6 | Achieving a high magnetization in sub-nanostructured magnetite films by spin-flipping of tetrahedral Fe3. cations显示文摘Magnetite Fe304 (ferrite) has attracted considerable interest for its exceptional physical properties: It is predicted to be a semimetallic ferromagnetic with a high Curie temperature, it displays a metal-insulator transition, and has potential oxide-electronics applications. Here, we fabricate a high-magnetization (〉 1 Tesla) high-resistance (-0.1 Ωcm) sub-nanostructured (grain size 〈 3 nm) Fe304 film via grain-size control and nano-engineering. We report a new phenomenon of spin- flipping of the valence-spin tetrahedral FeB* in the sub-nanostructured Fe304 film, which produces the high magnetization. Using soft X-ray magnetic circular dichroism and soft X-ray absorption, both at the Fe L3,2- and O K-edges, and supported by first-principles and charge-transfer multiple calculations, we observe an anomalous enhancement of double exchange, accompanied by a suppression of the superexchange interactions because of the spin-flipping mechanism via oxygen at the grain boundaries. | 7 | Evaluation of suspected local recurrence in lung cancer and head & neck cancer:A comparison between ^(99m)Tc-HL91 SPECT and CT for biopsy proven lesions显示文摘CT has rather low accuracy for the follow-up of tumors after therapy. This study was to determine whether the diagnostic accuracy can be improved with 99mTc-HL91 SPECT in comparison with parallel results of CT imaging. Thirty patients of lung cancer or head & neck cancer, suspected of recurrences on clinical symptoms and CT during clinical follow-up after therapy, underwent 99mTc-HL91 SPECT. The radioactivity ratios of tumor to normal tissues (T/NT) were calculated using the region of interest technique. Results of 99mTc-HL91 SPECT were verified by histopathology. The 99mTc-HL91 average uptake ratios of T/NT in the group of recurrent lesions and non-recurrent lesions were 1.58±0.16 and 1.18±0.14, respectively. A significant difference was found between T/NT data of the two phases (t=4.87, P<0.001). The 99mTc-HL91 SPECT shows sensitivity of 72.73%, specificity of 89.47% and accuracy of 83.83% for differentiating recurrent lesion, while the CT shows sensitivity of 63.63%, specificity of 84.21% and accuracy of 76.67%. A combination of 99mTc-HL91 SPECT and CT for 21 patients with lung cancers or head & neck cancers with congruent results shows sensitivity of 100%, specificity of 94.12% and accuracy of 95.23%. It is concluded that 99mTc-HL91 SPECT may play a role in differentiating recurrent lesions in patients with lung cancer and head & neck cancer. | 9 | Complement of ^(99m)Tc-octreotide scintimammography to mammography in evaluating breast cancers显示文摘In this paper,the 99mTc-octreotide scintimammography as a useful complementary technique of mammography was evaluated in diagnosing breast cancers.The 45 breast lesions were consecutively detected by mammography,and 99mTc-octreotide scintimammography,and both combination technique on the basis of self-examination,physical examination.Clinical diagnosis was confirmed by histopathologic analysis.Radioactivity uptake ratios for tumor vs normal breast tissues (T/NT) were calculated using regions of interest.In the breast cancer groups and the benign lesion groups,the average uptake ratios of the 99mTc-octreotide were 1.63±0.19 and 1.09±0.13,respectively,and t was 9.638 (P<0.001).Based on sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predicting value,and negative predicting value,99mTc-octreotide scintimammography was 87%,79%,84%,90%,and 73%,the mammography was 65%,64%,64%,80%,and 45%,and both combination was 95%,100%,97%,100% and 92%,respectively.This showed that the 99mTc-octreotide scintimammography was more useful than mammography in the evaluating suspected breast cancers,and the combination technique can accurately discriminate lesions. | SU Xinhui HE Xiaojiang WU Hua PAN Weiming HUANG Jingxiong YU Hao CHEN Guibing WANG Wei | 2010 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2010,21,1: | 0 |
