| 1 | Net-shape forming of composite packages with high thermal conductivity显示文摘The continuing miniaturization of electronic devices in microelectronics and semiconductors drives the development of new packaging materials with enhanced thermal conductivity to dissipate the heat generated in electronic packages. In recent years, several promising composite materials with high thermal conductivity have been developed successfully for high performance electronic equipment to replace the traditional Kovar and Cu/W or Cu/Mo alloys, such as SiCp/Al, SICp/Cu, diamond/Al and diamond/Cu. However, these materials with high content of reinforcements have not been widely used in packaging field because they are hard to be machined into complex-shaped parts due to their greater hardness and brittleness. So, it is necessary to explore a near-net shape forming technology for these composites. | 3 | Stearic Acid/Copper Foam as Composite Phase Change Materials for Thermal Energy Storage显示文摘The application of stearic acid in the latent thermal energy storage(LTES) systems is hindered due to its lower heat transfer rate. Stearic acid(SA) was blended with copper foam(CF) of pore numbers per inch(PPI) of 5, 20, and 40 to prepare composite phase change materials via a molten impregnation method. The thermal physical properties including latent heat, phase change temperature, and thermal energy storage density of composites were characterized. The thermogravimetric analysis indicated that the loadages of SA of SA/CF(5 PPI), SA/CF(20 PPI), and SA/CF(40 PPI) were 74.69%, 71.03%, and 63.54%, respectively;The latent heat of SA/CF(5 PPI), SA/CF(20 PPI), and SA/CF(40 PPI) were determined to 139.9 J·g^-1, 132.7 J·g^-1, and 117.8 J·g^-1, respectively. Meanwhile, the infrared thermal images of SA and SA/CF composites were provided to demonstrate the thermal energy storage and dissipation capability intuitively by the temperature response and surface temperature distribution. The infrared thermal images indicated the addition of CF also reduced the fluidity of liquid SA, and the SA/CF(40 PPI) had better internal heat transfer uniformity and thermal diffusion performance than SA/CF(5 PPI) and SA/CF(20 PPI). | 5 | Effect of microstructural parameters on the properties of W-Ni-Fe alloys显示文摘The aim of this research was to examine the effect of microstructural parameters on the tensile properties of dif- ferent compositions of tungsten heavy alloys. The microstructural parameters (grain size, connectivity, contiguity, and solid volume fraction) were measured and were found to have a significant effect on the tensile properties of tungsten-based heavy alloys. The microstructural parameters of W-Ni-Fe alloys are sufficiently different to present a range of me- chanical properties. It is concluded that the mechanical properties of tungsten heavy alloys largely depend on the micro- structural parameters and their ductility is particularly harmed when grains are contiguous. | S.H. | 6 | Multifunctional Fibroblasts Enhanced via Thermal and Freeze-Drying Post-treatments of Aligned Electrospun Nanofiber Membranes显示文摘Parallel fibrous scaffolds play a critical role in controlling the morphology of cells to be more natural and biologically inspired.Among popular tissue engineering materials,poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate)(pHEMA)has been widely investigated in conventional forms due to its biocompatibility,low toxicity,and hydrophilicity.However,the swelling of pHEMA in water remains a major concern.To address this issue,randomly oriented and aligned as-spun pHEMA nanofibrous scaffolds were first fabricated at speeds of 300 and 2000 rpm in this study,which were then post-treated using either a thermal or a freeze-drying method.In cell assays,human dermal fibroblasts(HDFs)adhered to the freeze-drying treated substrates at a significantly faster rate,whereas they had a higher cell growth rate on thermally-treated substrates.Results indicated that the structural properties of pHEMA nanofibrous scaffolds and subsequent cellular behaviors were largely dependent on post-treatment methods.Moreover,this study suggests that aligned pHEMA nanofibrous substrates tended to induce regular fibroblast orientation and unidirectionally oriented actin cytoskeletons over random pHEMA nanofibrous substrates.Such information has predictive power and provides insights into promising post-treatment methods for improving the properties of aligned pHEMA scaffolds for numerous tissue engineering applications. | Ya Li Qian Shen Jing Shen Xinbo Ding Tao Liu Jihuan He Chengyan Zhu Ding Zhao Jiadeng Zhu | 2021 | Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,1: | 2 |

| 20 | ESR and U-series ages of coral reef samples from shallow drill holes in the South China Sea显示文摘The ages of coral reef samples from several shallow drill holes in the South China Sea are determined by ESR and U-series (230Th/234U) methods. The experimental results show ideal agreement between ESR and U-series ages and that the coral reefs were formed in the early Holocene. In the determination of natural total dose of coral reef by use of the additive dose method good results can be obtained by exponential fitting, no matter how the effect of dose saturation is. It was found that the ratio of the natural ESR signal intensity ( I0) to the ESR signal intensity at dose saturation ( Imax) of sample can reflect the significance of a irradiation efficiency-k value.
