| 1 | Quality analysis of commercial samples of Ziziphi spinosae semen(suanzaoren) by means of chromatographic fingerprinting assisted by principal component analysis显示文摘Due to the scarcity of resources of Ziziphi spinosae semen(ZSS), many inferior goods and even adulterants are generally found in medicine markets. To strengthen the quality control, HPLC fingerprint common pattern established in this paper showed three main bioactive compounds in one chromatogram simultaneously. Principal component analysis based on DAD signals could discriminate adulterants and inferiorities. Principal component analysis indicated that all samples could be mainly regrouped into two main clusters according to the first principal component(PC1, redefined as Vicenin II)and the second principal component(PC2, redefined as zizyphusine). PC1 and PC2 could explain 91.42%of the variance. Content of zizyphusine fluctuated more greatly than that of spinosin, and this result was also confirmed by the HPTLC result. Samples with low content of jujubosides and two common adulterants could not be used equivalently with authenticated ones in clinic, while one reference standard extract could substitute the crude drug in pharmaceutical production. Giving special consideration to the well-known bioactive saponins but with low response by end absorption, a fast and cheap HPTLC methodfor quality control of ZSS was developed and the result obtained was commensurate well with that of HPLC analysis. Samples having similar fingerprints to HPTLC common pattern targeting at saponins could be regarded as authenticated ones. | 2 | Existence of Qiongnan suture zone on the north margin of South China Sea显示文摘This paper aims to explore whether paleo-suture zone exists in the pre-Cenozoic basement of South China Sea (SCS). By taking advantage of integrated geophysical surveying data, including multi-channel reflection seismicity, oceanic bottom seismicity, gravity and magnetic data as well as paleomagnetism and drilling information, a comprehensive analysis on sedimentary stratigraphy, seismic stratigraphy, magmatic and metamorphic petrology, geochemistry, gravity study, magnetics, paleogeomagnetics as well as geotectonics was carried out, and the results clearly indicate that a pre-Cenozoic suture zone, i.e. “Qiongnan (south Hainan Island) suture zone”, does exist on the north margin of SCS. This suture zone starts in the west from the Jiusuo-Lingshui fault zone in the south of Hainan Island, extends eastward across the continental slope to the north of SCS, and links with Shoufeng fault in Taiwan. It is inferred that the Qiongnan suture zone was sutured approximately in Indosinian (Triassic) Epoch and is actually the vestige of “Qiongnan ocean basin”, the extension of the main paleo-Tethys ocean basin in SCS. The formation of Qiongnan suture zone marked the collision-accretion of the Qiongnan Block toward the Qiongzhong Block. The Qiongnan suture zone is linked to the west with the southward extension of the principal suture zone of the Paleo-Tethys at Bitu-Changning-Menglian-Bentong-Raub, across the southern segment of the Red River-East Vietnam-Wanna strike-slip fault zone, and connected to the east with the suture zone emplaced into the south margin of the Oki-Hida Pre-Jurassic terranes in southwest Japan, across the northerni2 e segment of the Manila trench fault zone in the northeast side of Taiwan Island. | 3 | On the Kinematic Characteristics and Dynamic Process of Boundary faults of the Nansha Ultra-crust Layer-Block显示文摘The Nansha ultra-crust layer-block is confined by ultra-crustal boundary faults of distinctive features, bordering the Kangtai-Shuangzi-Xiongnan extensional faulted zone on the north, the Baxian-Baram-Yoca-Cuyo nappe faulted zone on the south, the Wan’an-Natuna strike-slip tensional faulted zone on the west and the Mondoro-Panay strike-slip compressive faulted zone on the east. These faults take the top of the Nansha asthenosphere as their common detachmental surface. | 4 | Effects of dietary vitamin E on muscle vitamin E and fatty acid content in Aohan fine-wool sheep显示文摘value for consumers. Several laboratories have evaluated the effects of vitamin E on the fatty acid(FA) composition of muscle in sheep. However, little information is available on wool sheep, even though wool sheep breeds are an important source of mutton, especially in northern China where sheep are extensively farmed. The present study was designed to address the effects of vitamin E on muscle FA composition in male Aohan fine-wool sheep. Methods: Forty-two male Aohan fine-wool lambs(5 mo old) with similar initial body weight were randomly divided into seven groups and fed diets supplemented with 0(control group), 20, 100, 200, 1,000, 2,000, or 2,400 IU/sheep/d vitamin E for 12 mo. Three lambs from each group were slaughtered to measure vitamin E and FA content in the longissimus lumborum(LL) and gluteus medius(GM) muscles. Results: Vitamin E concentrations in the LL and GM increased significantly after 12 mo of vitamin E supplementation(P < 0.05). However, this increase did not occur in a dose-dependent manner because the muscle vitamin E concentration was highest in the 200 IU/sheep/d group. Dietary vitamin E supplementation also caused a significant reduction in SFA content and an increase in monounsaturated FA(MUFA) content in the LL and GM(P < 0.05). All six doses of vitamin E significantly increased cis9 trans11-conjugated linoleic acid(c9t11-CLA) content in the LL compared with the control group(P < 0.05). Conclusions: Dietary supplementation with vitamin E increased muscle vitamin E content and improved the nutritional value of mutton by decreasing SFA content and increasing MUFA and c9t11-CLA contents in Aohan fine-wool sheep. | 6 | Synergy effect of multi-strengthening mechanisms in FeMnCoCrN HEA at cryogenic temperature显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs)have attracted great research interest owing to their good combination of high strength and ductility at both room and cryogenic temperatures.However,expensive raw materials are always added to overcome the strength-ductility trade-off at low temperatures,leading to an increased production cost for the cryogenically used alloys.In this work,a series of nitrogen-doped Fe Mn Co Cr HEAs have been processed by homogenization annealing,cold rolling and recrystallization annealing followed by water quenching.The microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of the alloys are studied systematically.The Fe_(49)Mn_(30)Co_(10)Cr_(10)N1alloy shows excellent mechanical properties at both 293 K and 77 K.Particularly,the yield and ultimate tensile strength of 1078 and 1630 MPa are achieved at the cryogenic temperature,respectively,while a satisfactory uniform elongation of 33.5%is maintained.The ultrahigh yield strength results from the microstructure refinement caused by the activation of athermal martensitic transformation and mechanical twinning that occur in the elastic regime together with the increased lattice friction due to the cryogenic environment.In the plastic regime,the dynamic Hall-Petch effect caused by twinning,martensitic transformation,and reverse transformation together with the high barrier to dislocation motion jointly contribute to the ultrahigh tensile strength.Simultaneously,the transformation induced plasticity(TRIP)and the twinning induced plasticity(TWIP)effects jointly contribute to the ductility.The design strategy for attaining superior mechanical properties at low temperatures,i.e.by adjusting stacking fault energy in the interstitial metastable HEAs,guides the development of high-performance and low-cost alloys for cryogenic applications. | Zhufeng He Nan Jia Hongwei Wang Haile Yan Yongfeng Shen | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,27: | 3 |

| 8 | U-Pb Isotope Geochronology of Syntectonic Granites from Hainan Island,South China:Constraints on Tectonic Evolution of the Eastern Paleo-Tethys Ocean显示文摘Since the recognition of the Indosinian orogeny in northern Vietnam,Triassic orogens have been widely identified around the western and southwestern boundaries of the South China block.The paleo-Tethys sutures stretch from west to southeast,from Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan via NE Vietnam to Hainan Island;these sutures exhibit and develop voluminous Permian-early Triassic magmatism and numerous high-strain shear zones.As ophiolites related to the paleo-Tethys are lacking on Hainan Island,the eastward extension of the Indosinian orogeny and subduction and closure time of the paleo-Tethys Ocean on Hainan Island remain controversial.Here,an integrated kinematic and geochronological study has been conducted on two shear zones,called the Xiaomei and Mangsan shear zones.U-Pb zircon dating yields an age of early Triassic(252-251 Myr)for Xiaomei syntectonic granites which formed in the same tectonic setting and presented the similar nanoparticles to the Indosinian granites from Ailaoshan ductile shear zone,including the strawberry-like and flower-like nanoparticles.The NE-trending Mangsan shear zone represented by the gneissic granites with middle Permian ages(264-262 Myr)formed in the same tectonic setting as the Wuzhi-shan granites that were proposed as I-type granites.These middle Permian gneissic granites with arc affinity may represent an arc setting related to the NW subduction of the paleo-Tethys.The analyses reveal that granites with late Triassic ages(235-232 Myr)in the Xiaomei shear zone have the characteristics of A-type granites.The late Triassic extensional events on Hainan Island may be related to the subduction of the paleo-Pacific Plate beneath the East Asian continent. | ZHOU Yang YAN Yi LIU Hailing CAI Jianxin ZHOU Mengfei ZHANG Xinchang WANG Yin SHEN Baoyun | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,6: | 1 |
