2Differences in changes of potential evaporation in the mountainous and oasis regions of the Tarim basin, northwest China显示文摘Data from eleven meteorological stations in the Tianshan mountains and the north slope of west Kunlun mountains, and eighteen meteorological stations in the Kaidu-Kongque river, Akesu river, Kashiger river and Yankant river oases were examined to assess the differences in changes in potential evaporation from 1960 to 2006 in the mountainous and oasis regions of the Tarim basin and the relationships of these changes to meteorological factors. The decreasing trends in potential evaporation were primarily due to the decrease in the aerodynamic terms in both the mountainous and oasis regions, but the trends in the oasis regions were more pronounced. Based on the complementary relationship between potential and actual evaporation, the decreasing trends in potential evaporation appeared to be related to the increasing trends in precipitation in the mountainous regions and the increasing trends in water consumption in the oasis regions, thus reflecting the different impacts of natural changes and anthropogenic influences.HAN SongJun HU HePing YANG DaWen LIU QunChang 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,7:9
3IL-17A-dependent gut microbiota is essential for regulating diet-induced disorders in mice显示文摘The gut microbiota plays a key role in obesity and related metabolic disorders, and multiple factors including diet, host genotype, and age regulate it. Many studies have examined the contribution of extrinsic factors to the regulation of the gut microbiota, but the importance of the host genetic constitution cannot be ignored. Interleukin 17A(IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine, is important in the defense against infection and diseases. Here, we investigated the association among IL-17, a high-fat diet(HFD), and the gut microbiota. Mice deficient in IL-17A were resistant to diet-induced obesity and related diseases. Compared with the Ⅱ-17^(-/-)mice, wild-type(WT) mice challenged with HFD showed obvious weight fluctuations, such as those seen in type 2 diabetes, and hematological changes similar to those associated with metabolic syndrome. However, housing WT mice and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice together significantly alleviated these symptoms in the WT mice. A metagenomic analysis of the mouse feces indicated that the microbial community compositions of these two groups differed before HFD feeding. The HFD mediated shifts in the gut microbial compositions, which were associated with the mouse phenotypes.We also identified potentially beneficial and harmful species present during this period, and drew networks of the most abundant species. A functional analysis indicated pathway changes in the WT and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice when fed the HFD. 4Recent Progress of Two-Dimensional Thermoelectric Materials显示文摘Thermoelectric generators have attracted a wide research interest owing to their ability to directly convert heat into electrical power.Moreover,the thermoelectric properties of traditional inorganic and organic materials have been significantly improved over the past few decades.Among these compounds,layered two-dimensional(2D)materials,such as graphene,black phosphorus,transition metal dichalcogenides,IVA–VIA compounds,and MXenes,have generated a large research attention as a group of potentially high-performance thermoelectric materials.Due to their unique electronic,mechanical,thermal,and optoelectronic properties,thermoelectric devices based on such materials can be applied in a variety of applications.Herein,a comprehensive review on the development of 2D materials for thermoelectric applications,as well as theoretical simulations and experimental preparation,is presented.In addition,nanodevice and new applications of 2D thermoelectric materials are also introduced.At last,current challenges are discussed and several prospects in this field are proposed.Delong Li Youning Gong Yuexing Chen Jiamei Lin Qasim Khan Yupeng Zhang Yu Li Han Zhang Heping Xie 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,3:5
5Effects of Long-term Fertilization on Soil M icrobial Com m unity Structure,Labile Organic Carbon and Nitrogen and Enzym e Activity in Paddy Field and Upland显示文摘To investigate the effects of long-term fertilization systems on soil microbial community structure,labile organic carbon and nitrogen and enzyme activity in yellow sand paddy field and upland,a field experiment was conducted at the experimental station of Dongyang Institute of Maize Research in Zhejiang Province,China in 2009.The experiment consisted of six treatments with three replicates,and they were arranged in a completely randomized design,including no fertilization in paddy field (PCK),conventional fertilization in paddy field (PCF),formulated fertilization by soil testing in paddy field (PSTF),formulated fertilization by soil testing with organic manure in paddy field (PSTF+OF),conventional fertilization on upland (DCF),and formulated fertilization by soil testing with organic manure on upland (DSTF+OF).Soil nutrients,enzyme activity,microbial biomass and community structure were determined in 2015.The results showed that compared with no fertilization in paddy field (PCK),fertilization increased soil phosphorus and potassium content,and decreased pH value.No fertilization in paddy field (PCK) had no significant effect on soil culturable microorganisms in paddy field and upland,but formulated fertilization by soil testing with organic manure on upland (DSTF+OF) significantly increased the number of fungi.Formula fertilization by soil testing with organic manure (PSTF+OF) also significantly increased soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen in paddy field and upland.Moreover,fertilization had no significant effect on soil cellulase activity,but formula fertilization by soil testing with organic manure (PSTF+OF) significantly increased soil dehydrogenase and catalase activity.Therefore,long-term application of chemical fertilizer with organic fertilizer can effectively improve soil fertility.Wang Guiyue Su Ting Han Hailiang Tan Heping Bao Fei Zhao Fucheng 2019Meteorological and Environmental Research2019,10,5:4
6Quinclorac Resistance in Echinochloa crus-galli from China显示文摘Echinochloa crus-galli is a major weed in rice fields in China,and quinclorac has been long used for its control.Over-reliance of quinclorac has resulted in quinclorac resistance in E.crus-galli.Two resistant(R)E.crus-galli populations from Hunan,China were confirmed to be at least 78-fold more resistant to quinclorac than the susceptible(S)population.No difference in foliar uptake of 14C-labelled quinclorac was detected between the R and S plants.However,a higher level of 14C translocation and a lower level of quinclorac metabolism were found in the R plants.Basal and induced expression levels ofβ-cyanoalanine synthase(β-CAS)gene andβ-CAS activity were not significantly different between the R and S plants.However,the induction expression of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid oxidase(ACO1)gene by quinclorac treatment was evident in the S plants but not in the R plants.Quinclorac resistance in the two resistant E.crus-galli populations was not likely to be related to foliar uptake,translocation or metabolism of quinclorac,nor to cyanide detoxification viaβ-CAS.Thus,target-site based quinclorac signal reception and transduction and regulation of the ethylene synthesis pathway should be the focus for further research.PENG Qiong HAN Heping YANG Xia BAI Lianyang YU Qin Stephen BPOWLES 2019Rice science2019,26,5:4
7Experimental determination of Hurst exponent of the self-affine fractal patterns with optical fractional Fourier transform显示文摘By means of experimental technique of optical fractional Fourier transform, we have determined the Hurst exponent of a regular self-affine fractal pattern to demonstrate the feasibility of this approach. Then we extend this method to determine the Hurst exponents of some irregular self-affine fractal patterns. 8An ultrahigh strength steel produced through deformation-induced ferrite transformation and Q&P process显示文摘In this work,DIFT technology and Q&P process were combined in order to introduce ultrafine-grained ferrite into the matrix of martensite and retained austenite to develop a new kind of advanced high strength steel,and two kinds of steels were investigated by this novel combined process.The newly designed process resulted in a sophisticated microstructure of a large amount of ferrite(about 5 m in diameter),martensite and a considerable amount of retained austenite for TRIP 780 steel.The ultimate tensile strength can reach about 1200 MPa with elongation above 16% for TRIP 780,that is much higher than the one solely treated by Q&P process.Tensile tests showed that both steels with the novel combined process achieved a good combination of strength and ductility,indicating that the new process is promising for the new generation of advanced high strength steels.CHEN MingMing WU RiMing LIU HePing WANG Li SHI Jie DONG Han JIN XueJun 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7:3

20Haplotype-resolved Genome of Sika Deer Reveals Allele-specific Gene Expression and Chromosome Evolution显示文摘Despite the scientific and medicinal importance of diploid sika deer(Cervus nippon),its genome resources are limited and haplotype-resolved chromosome-scale assembly is urgently needed.To explore mechanisms underlying the expression patterns of the allele-specific genes in antlers and the chromosome evolution in Cervidae,we report,for the first time,a high-quality haplotype-resolved chromosome-scale genome of sika deer by integrating multiple sequencing strategies,which was anchored to 32 homologous groups with a pair of sex chromosomes(XY).Several expanded genes(RET,PPP2R1A,PPP2R1B,YWHAB,YWHAZ,and RPS6)and positively selected genes(eIF4E,Wnt8A,Wnt9B,BMP4,and TP53)were identified,which could contribute to rapid antler growth without carcinogenesis.A comprehensive and systematic genome-wide analysis of allele expression patterns revealed that most alleles were functionally equivalent in regulating rapid antler growth and inhibiting oncogenesis.Comparative genomic analysis revealed that chromosome fission might occur during the divergence of sika deer and red deer(Cervus elaphus),and the olfactory sensation of sika deer might be more powerful than that of red deer.Obvious inversion regions containing olfactory receptor genes were also identified,which arose since the divergence.In conclusion,the high-quality allele-aware reference genome provides valuable resources for further illustration of the unique biological characteristics of antler,chromosome evolution,and multi-omics research of cervid animals.Ruobing Han Lei Han Xunwu Zhao Qianghui Wang Yanling Xia Heping Li 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,3:0
