1Last Deglacial Soft-Sediment Deformation at Shawan on the Eastern Tibetan Plateau and Implications for Deformation Processes and Seismic Magnitudes显示文摘The eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau is characterized by frequent earthquakes; however, research of paleo-earthquakes in the area has been limited^ owing to the alpine topography and strong erosion. Detailed investigations of soft-sediment deformation(SSD) structures are valuable for understanding the trigger mechanisms, deformation processes, and the magnitudes of earthquakes that generate such structures, and help us to understand tectonic activity in the region. To assess tectonic activity during the late Quaternary, we studied a well-exposed sequence of Shawan lacustrine sediments, 7.0 m thick, near Lake Diexi in the upper reaches of the Minjiang River. Deformation is recorded by both ductile structures(load casts, flame structures, pseudonodules, ball-and-pillow structures, and liquefied convolute structures) and brittle structures(liquefied breccia, and microfaults). Taking into account the geodynamic setting of the area and its known tectonic activity, these SSD structures can be interpreted in terms of seismic shocks. The types and forms of the structures, the maximum liquefaction distances, and the thicknesses of the horizons with SSD structures in the Shawan section indicate that they record six strong earthquakes of magnitude 6-7 and one with magnitude >7. A recent study showed that the Songpinggou fault is the seismogenic structure of the 1933 Ms7.5 Diexi earthquake. The Shawan section is located close to the junction of the Songpinggou and Minjiang faults, and records seven earthquakes with magnitudes of ?7. We infer, therefore, that the SSD structures in the Shawan section document deglacial activity along the Songpinggou fault.ZHONG Ning JIANG Hanchao LI Haibing XU Hongyan SHI Wei ZHANG Siqi WEI Xiaotong 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,2:7

8Implementation for a cloud battery management system based on the CHAIN framework显示文摘An intelligent battery management system is a crucial enabler for energy storage systems with high power output, increased safety and long lifetimes. With recent developments in cloud computing and the proliferation of big data, machine learning approaches have begun to deliver invaluable insights, which drives adaptive control of battery management systems(BMS)with improved performance. In this paper,a general framework utilizing an end-edge-cloud architecture for a cloud-based BMS is proposed, with the composition and function of each link described.Cloud-based BMS leverages from the Cyber Hierarchy and Interactional Network(CHAIN)framework to provide multi-scale insights, more advanced and efficient algorithms can be used to realize the state-of-X es-timation,thermal management, cell balancing, fault diagnosis and other functions of traditional BMS system. The battery intelligent monitoring and management platform can visually present battery performance, store working-data to help in-depth understanding of the microscopic evolutionary law,and provide support for the development of control strategies.Currently, the cloud-based BMS requires more effects on the multi-scale inte-grated modeling methods and remote upgrading capability of the controller, these two aspects are very important for the precise management and online upgrade of the system. The utility of this approach is highlighted not only for automotive applications, but for any battery energy storage system, providing a holistic framework for future intelligent and connected battery management.Shichun Yang Zhengjie Zhang Rui Cao Mingyue Wang Hanchao Cheng Lisheng Zhang Yinan Jiang Yonglin Li Binbin Chen Heping Ling Yubo Lian Billy Wu Xinhua Liu 2021Energy and AI2021,5,3:0

13RoBGP:A Chinese Nested Biomedical Named Entity Recognition Model Based on RoBERTa and Global Pointer显示文摘Named Entity Recognition(NER)stands as a fundamental task within the field of biomedical text mining, aiming to extract specific types of entities such as genes, proteins, and diseases from complex biomedical texts and categorize them into predefined entity types. This process can provide basic support for the automatic construction of knowledge bases. In contrast to general texts, biomedical texts frequently contain numerous nested entities and local dependencies among these entities, presenting significant challenges to prevailing NER models. To address these issues,we propose a novel Chinese nested biomedical NER model based on RoBERTa and Global Pointer(RoBGP).Our model initially utilizes the RoBERTa-wwm-ext-large pretrained language model to dynamically generate word-level initial vectors. It then incorporates a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory network for capturing bidirectional semantic information, effectively addressing the issue of long-distance dependencies.Furthermore, the Global Pointer model is employed to comprehensively recognize all nested entities in the text.We conduct extensive experiments on the Chinese medical dataset CMeEE and the results demonstrate the superior performance of RoBGP over several baseline models. This research confirms the effectiveness of RoBGP in Chinese biomedical NER,providing reliable technical support for biomedical information extraction and knowledge base construction.Xiaohui Cui Chao Song Dongmei Li Xiaolong Qu Jiao Long Yu Yang Hanchao Zhang 2024Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,3:0
14Electronic structure, bonding characteristics, and mechanical behaviors of a new family of Si-containing damage-tolerant MAB phases M_(5)SiB_(2)(M=IVB-VIB transition metals)显示文摘MAB phases are layered ternary compounds with alternative stacking of transition metal boride layers and group A element layers.Until now, most of the investigated MAB phases are concentrated on compounds with Al as the A element layers. In this work, the family of M_(5)SiB_(2)(M=IVB-VIB transition metals)compounds with silicon as interlayers were investigated by density functional theory(DFT)methods as potential MAB phases for high-temperature applications.Starting from the known Mo5SiB2,the electronic structure, bonding characteristics, and mechanical behaviors were systematically investigated and discussed.Although the composition of M_(5)SiB_(2) does not follow the general formula of experimentally reported(MB)_(2z)A_(x)(MB_(2))_(y)(z=1,2;x=1,2;y=0,1,2),their layered structure and anisotropic bonding characteristics are similar to other known MAB phases, which justifies their classification as new members of this material class. As a result of the higher bulk modulus and lower shear modulus,Mo_(5)SiB_(2) has a Pugh’s ratio of 0.53,which is much lower than the common MAB phases. It was found that the stability and mechanical properties of M_(5)SiB_(2) compounds depend on their valence electron concentrations(VECs),and an optimum VEC exists as the criteria for stability. The hypothesized Zr and Hf containing compounds,i.e.,Zr_(5)SiB_(2) and Hf_(5)SiB_(2),which are more interesting in terms of high-temperature oxidation/ablation resistance, were found to be unfortunately unstable. To cope with this problem,a new stable solid solution(Zr_(0.6)Mo_(0.4))_(5)SiB_(2) was designed based on VEC tuning to demonstrate a promising approach for developing new MAB phases with desirable compositions.Na NI Hanchao ZHANG Yanchun ZHOU 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,10:0
15Non-invasive Characteristic Curve Analysis of Lithium-ion Batteries Enabling Degradation Analysis and Data-Driven Model Construction:A Review显示文摘Power battery technology is essential to ensuring the overall performance and safety of electric vehicles.Non-invasive char-acteristic curve analysis(CCA)for lithium-ion batteries is of particular importance.CCA can provide characteristic data for further applications such as state estimation and thermal runaway warning without disassembling the batteries. This paper summarizes the characteristic curves consisting of incremental curve analysis, differential voltage analysis, and differential thermal voltammetry from the perspectives of exploring the aging mechanism of batteries and constructing the data-driven model. The process of quantitative analysis of battery aging mechanism is presented and the steps of constructing data-driven models are induced. Moreover, the recent progress and application of the main features and methodologies are discussed. Finally, the applicability of battery CCA is discussed by converting non-quantifiable battery information into transportable data covering macrostate and micro-reaction information.Combined with the cloud-based battery management platform, the above-mentioned battery characteristic curves could be used as a valuable dataset to upgrade the next-generation battery management system design.Rui Cao Hanchao Cheng Xuefeng Jia Xinlei Gao Zhengjie Zhang Mingyue Wang Shen Li Cheng Zhang Bin Ma Xinhua Liu Shichun Yang 2022Automotive Innovation2022,5,2:0

17Impacts of seismic activity and climatic change on Chinese history in the recent millennium显示文摘General history of disasters in China suggests that China has frequently experienced two major natural disasters in its long history, one is from catastrophic earthquake events, and the other is from extreme climatic events, due to its unique active tectonic environment and climatic complexity.Although these two major natural disasters have caused great damage to human society,it remains unclear whether and how they affect Chinese dynasty alternation on decadal(emperor)timescales.Based on detailed comparisons between abrupt climatic changes, catastrophic seismic activities, and the history of Chinese dynasty alternation from 1000–2000 AD,we conclude that on decadal timescales, extreme drought(and/or flood)events could indeed significantly reduce agricultural production, cause severe food shortages and famine, and result in increases in population exile, rising food prices and inflation, and insufficient supplies for military defense, which could exceed social resilience and eventually lead to financial risks and social upheavals of the dynasties. In addition, catastrophic seismic events in the densely populated, agricultural areas of China, including the 1303 surface wave magnitude(M_(s))8.0 Hongtong earthquake, the 1556 M_(s)8.25Huaxian earthquake and the 1920 M_(s)8.5 Haiyuan earthquake, caused more than 200,000casualties and millions of victims to live in exile which was almost equivalent to the order of magnitude of those extreme climatic events-induced refugees. The secondary geological hazards related to the earthquakes(e.g.,extensive landslides and soil erosion),which could last for decades, caused more casualties and reduced food production.Furthermore, great plague spread caused by the casualties could significantly increase psychological panic among the survivors, resulting in social instability. Therefore, catastrophic seismic events could also accelerate the collapse of the dynasties(e.g.,the Ming dynasty)without immediate mitigation measures. This study indicates that catastrophic seismic activities,as well as extreme climatic events, could have great effects on the social structures and thus on the Chinese dynasty alternation on decadal timescales, which highlights the far-reaching implications of geological hazard research.FAN Jiawei JIANG Hanchao XU Hongyan ZHANG Wei 2022Journal of Geographical Sciences2022,32,11:0
18Biological effects of low-energy C ion implantation on sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)显示文摘Field cultivation experiments on white sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)seeds implanted with low-energy C ion showed that different dosages of C ion implantation pro-duce different biological effects.Sesame plants in 6 different dosage groups with C ion density respectively at 1×10^(11),1×10^(12),1×10^(15),5×10^(15),1×10^(16),5×10^(16)ion/cm2 were superior to the control group in plant height, leaf number, stalk diameter and leaf size.Further, sesame plants in these groups flower and seed earlier than those in the control group, and single plant yield also increased.Of all the groups, the 5×10^(15)ion/cm2 dosage group yielded the best effect, whereas the 1×10^(17)/cm^(2)dosage group showed an evident inhibitory effect of ion implantation on the germination and growth of the sesame seeds.ZHANG Lan JIA Hanchao FANG Tian ZHOU Yunlong SU Ying 2007Frontiers in Biology2007,2,2:0
