1Full-colour nanoprint-hologram synchronous metasurface with arbitrary hue-saturationbrightness control显示文摘The colour gamut,a two-dimensional(2D)colour space primarily comprising hue and saturation(HS),lays the most important foundation for the colour display and printing industries.Recently,the metasurface has been considered a promising paradigm for nanoprinting and holographic imaging,demonstrating a subwavelength image resolution,a flat profile,high durability,and multi-functionalities.Much effort has been devoted to broaden the 2D HS plane,also known as the CIE map.However,the brightness(B),as the carrier of chiaroscuro information,has long been neglected in metasurface-based nanoprinting or holograms due to the challenge in realising arbitrary and simultaneous control of full-colour HSB tuning in a passive device.Here,we report a dielectric metasurface made of crystal silicon nanoblocks,which achieves not only tailorable coverage of the primary colours red,green and blue(RGB)but also intensity control of the individual colours.The colour gamut is hence extruded from the 2D CIE to a complete 3D HSB space.Moreover,thanks to the independent control of the RGB intensity and phase,we further show that a singlelayer silicon metasurface could simultaneously exhibit arbitrary HSB colour nanoprinting and a full-colour hologram image.Our findings open up possibilities for high-resolution and high-fidelity optical security devices as well as advanced cryptographic approaches.Yanjun Bao Ying Yu Haofei Xu Chao Guo Juntao Li Shang Sun Zhang-Kai Zhou Cheng-Wei Qiu Xue-Hua Wang 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:25
2A high strength, anti-fouling, self-healable, and thermoplastic supramolecular polymer hydrogel with low fibrotic response显示文摘The fibrotic response plays an important role in the performance and longevity of implantable devices. Thus, development of effective anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrosis biomaterial implants has become an urgent task. In this work, we developed a novel supramolecular polymer hydrogel through the copolymerization of N-acryloyl glycinamide(NAGA) and carboxybetaine acrylamide(CBAA) in the absence of any chemical crosslinker, which the mechanical properties being tunable through changing the monomer concentration and the monomer ratio over a broad scope. The hydrogel possessed the superior mechanical performances: high tensile strength(~1.13 MPa), large stretchability(~1200%), and excellent compressive strength(~9 MPa) at high monomer concentration and NAGA/CBAA ratio. Introduction of CBAA could promote the self-healability, thermoplasticity of suparmolecular polymer hydrogels at lower temperatures, meanwhile dramatically improving anti-fouling property.Histological analysis and in vitro cytotoxicity assays testified the excellent biocompatibility of the hydrogel. 4Bamboo Leaf and Pollen Fossils from the Late Miocene of Eastern Zhejiang,China and their Phytogeological Significance显示文摘Fossil bamboo leaves and pollen from Upper Miocene deposits of the Shengxian Formation in Tiantai and Ninghai counties,eastern Zhejiang,China represent a rare record in Asia.The distinctive pseudopetiole and parallel venation of the leaf blades and the clearly thickened annulus of the pollen aperture place them in the subfamily Bambusoideae.Morphological analysis supports the determination of these fossil leaves as belonging to the genus Bambusium and two new species are described.Bambusium latipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly wide pseudopetiole of 0.23 cm in width and 0.40 cm in length,several vascular bundles on parallel veins,and 5–8 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Bambusium longipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly long pseudopetiole of 0.60 cm in length and 0.10 cm in width,several vascular bundles on the pseudopetiole,and 6 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Pollen grains from the same layer provide additional evidence of bamboos.They are characterized by 32.0–51.0 μm in diameter,a round pore 3.0–4.0 μm in diameter with a broad thickened annulus 2.5–3.5 μm around,and several conspicuous secondary folds on the exine surface.The morphological analysis leads to their assignment to Graminidites bambusoides Stuchlik.These fossils are important for the study of bamboo phytogeography in China.They demonstrate that there were bamboos growing in southeastern China during the Late Miocene and that bamboos in Zhejiang begin to diversify no later than the Late Miocene.In combination with bamboo fossils from other places,it seems that bamboos had a wide distribution across southern China during the Miocene,ranging from southwestern Yun'nan to southeastern Zhejiang.WANG Qiujun MA Fujun YANG Yi DONG Junling WANG Haofei LI Ruiyun XU Xiaohui SUN Bainian 2014Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,4:7
5Quercus yangyiensis sp. nov. from the Late Pliocene of Baoshan, Yunnan and Its Paleoclimatic Significance显示文摘A new Quercus(Fagaceae) morphospecies is described based on well-preserved fossil leaves. The fossils were collected from Yangyi Formation of the Upper Pliocene at the Yangyi coalmine, Baoshan, western Yunnan, China. Details of the microstructure of mesophyll tissue are preserved because lithification of the fossils was not complete. The fossil laminas possess typical characteristics of Quercus sect. Heterobalanus: quite thick and coriaceous cuticle; secondary veins bifurcating near the margin in the middle and top of the leaf; and upper epidermis with adaxial hypodermis. Based on a detailed morphological and anatomical comparison with all living and fossil species of Quercus sect. Heterobalanus, the fossil leaves prove to be different in their sparse and garland-shaped multicellular trichomes on the lower epidermis, and so it is described as a new species Quercus yangyiensis He, Li et Sun sp. nov. The much sparser trichomes of our fossils compare well with those of living Quercus sect. 6Fluid structure interaction simulation of supersonic parachute inflation by an interface tracking method显示文摘An Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE)approach with interface tracking is developed in this paper to simulate the supersonic parachute inflation.A two-way interaction between a nonlinear finite element method and a finite volume method is accomplished.In order to apply this interface tracking method to problems with instantaneous large deformation and self-contact,a new virtual structure contact method is proposed to leave room for the body-fitted mesh between the contact structural surfaces.In addition,the breakpoint due to the fluid mesh with negative volume is losslessly restarted by the conservative interpolation method.Based on this method,fluid and structural dynamic behaviors of a highly folded disk-gap-band parachute are obtained.Numerical results such as maximum Root Mean Square(RMS)drag,general canopy shape and the smallest canopy projected areas in the terminal descent state are in accordance with the wind tunnel test results.This analysis reveals the inflation law of the disk-gap-band parachute and provides a new numerical method for supersonic parachute design.Xue YANG Li YU Min LIU Haofei PANG 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,6:5
7Paliurus(Paliureae,Rhamnaceae) from the Miocene of East China and its Macrofossil-based Phylogenetic and Phytogeographical History显示文摘The extant genus Paliurus Miller is divided into P.ramosissimus and P.spina-christi groups and is diagnostically characterized by distinctive orbicular-winged fruits with a trilocular(or often bilocular) ovary and basally triveined leaves with a subentire to serrate margin.Here,structurally preserved winged fruits and associated compressed leaves of Paliurus(Paliureae,Rhamnaceae) are reported from the Middle-Upper Miocene Shengxian Formation of Tiantai,Zhejiang,eastern China.The fruits can be identified as Paliurus microcarpa Xiang-Chuan Li sp.nov.,the diagnostic characters of external morphology and anatomy of which differ from those of both extant and fossil generic members;the leaves can be designated as Paliurus sp.The species based on winged fruits,P.mkrocarpa,might represent an ancient intermediate link exclusively known across the P.ramosissimus and P.spina-christi groups,showing a closer affinity to the P.ramosissimus group based on the resemblant smaller fruits with a narrower wing,and to the P.spina-christi group based on the similar wing structure and texture,respectively.Morphological analyses of the present and previous fossil fruit records around the world indicate that diversification of Paliurus had begun in northern transpacific regions by the Late Eocene.The macrofossil records,i.e.,fruits and leaves of Paliurus globally when projected on paleoenvironmental maps in view of changing continental positions through time(from Eocene to Miocene) display that the past distribution of the genus was much wider than the present and belongs to a tropical and warm temperate realm of the Northern Hemisphere.Therefore,the modern restricted disjunction in tropical and warm temperate regions of East Asia and South Europe(even eastwards West Asia) might represent glacial refugia for some of the generic ancient lineages to survive severe cold at least since the terminal Pliocene.LI Xiangchuan WANG Haofei LENG Qin XIAO Liang GUO Junfeng HE Wenlong 2014Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,5:5

9Disulfide-Containing Molecular Sticker Assists Cellular Delivery of DNA Nanoassemblies by Bypassing Endocytosis显示文摘The delivery efficiency of DNA nanoassemblies to the cytosol remains unsatisfactory due to endoand lysosomal entrapment and degradation,which restricts their bioanalytical and biomedical applications.Herein,the authors developed a disulfide-containing molecular sticker(DSMS)assisted approach to achieve efficient cytosolic delivery of DNA nanoassemblies.DSMS is designed to consist of a disulfide unit for thiol-mediated uptake and a guanidinium cation unit for strongly adhering to DNA nanoassemblies.After attaching with DSMS,a set of DNA nanoassemblies maintained their original three-dimensional features but had a different cellular internalization pathway.These results demonstrated that DSMS-DNA nanoassemblies complex did not enter the cells via endocytosis but instead entered through thiol-mediated direct uptake.Taking advantages of this facile assembly,universal applicability,and direct cytosolic delivery,DSMS might serve as a potent agent to facilitate the applications of DNA nanoassemblies in a variety of fields,such as bioimaging,drug delivery,and gene therapy.Wen Yang Xiaochen Liu Haofei Li Jie Zhou Shan Chen Pengfei Wang Juan Li Huanghao Yang 2021CCS Chemistry2021,3,3:2

12Petroleum geology of marl in Triassic Leikoupo Formation and discovery significance of Well Chongtan1 in central Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘In 2022,the risk exploration well Chongtan1(CT1)in the Sichuan Basin revealed commercial oil and gas flow during test in a new zone–the marl of the second submember of the third member of Leikoupo Formation(Lei-32)of Middle Triassic,recording a significant discovery.However,the hydrocarbon accumulation in marl remains unclear,which restricts the selection and deployment of exploration area.Focusing on Well CT1,the hydrocarbon accumulation characteristics of Lei-32 marl are analyzed to clarify the potential zones for exploration.The following findings are obtained.First,according to the geochemical analysis of petroleum and source rocks,oil and gas in the Lei-32 marl of Well CT1 are originated from the same marl.The marl acts as both source rock and reservoir rock.Second,the Lei-32 marl in central Sichuan Basin is of lagoonal facies,with a thickness of 40–130 m,an area of about 40000 km^(2),a hydrocarbon generation intensity of(4–12)×10^(8) m^(3)/km^(2),and an estimated quantity of generated hydrocarbons of 25×10^(12) m^(3).Third,the lagoonal marl reservoirs are widely distributed in central Sichuan Basin.Typically,in Xichong–Yilong,Ziyang–Jianyang and Moxi South,the reservoirs are 20–60 m thick and cover an area of 7500 km^(2).Fourth,hydrocarbons in the lagoonal marl are generated and stored in the Lei-32 marl,which means that marl serves as both source rock and reservoir rock.They represent a new type of unconventional resource,which is worthy of exploring.Fifth,based on the interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data from central Sichuan Basin,Xichong and Suining are defined as favorable prospects with estimated resources of(2000–3000)×10^(8) m^(3).WANG Zecheng XIN Yongguang XIE Wuren WEN Long ZHANG Hao XIE Zengye ZHANG Jianyong TIAN Han LI Wenzheng FU Xiaodong SUN Haofei WANG Xiaofang HU Guoyi ZHANG Yu 2023Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,5:0
13Telomere-to-telomere genome of the allotetraploid legume Sesbania cannabina reveals transposon-driven subgenome divergence and mechanisms of alkaline stress tolerance显示文摘Alkaline soils pose an increasing problem for agriculture worldwide,but using stress-tolerant plants as green manure can improve marginal land.Here,we show that the legume Sesbania cannabina is very tolerant to alkaline conditions and,when used as a green manure,substantially improves alkaline soil.To understand genome evolution and the mechanisms of stress tolerance in this allotetraploid legume,we generated the first telomere-to-telomere genome assembly of S.cannabina spanning~2,087 Mb.The assembly included all centromeric regions,which contain centromeric satellite repeats,and complete chromosome ends with telomeric characteristics.Further genome analysis distinguished A and B subgenomes,which diverged approximately 7.9 million years ago.Comparative genomic analysis revealed that the chromosome homoeologs underwent large-scale inversion events(>10 Mb)and a significant,transposon-driven size expansion of the chromosome 5A homoeolog.We further identified four specific alkali-induced phosphate transporter genes in S.cannabina;these may function in alkali tolerance by relieving the deficiency in available phosphorus in alkaline soil.Our work highlights the significance of S.cannabina as a green tool to improve marginal lands and sheds light on subgenome evolution and adaptation to alkaline soils.Haofei Luo Xiaofei Wang Changqing You Xuedan Wu Duofeng Pan Zhiyao Lv Tong Li Dongmei Zhang Zhongbao Shen Xiaodong Zhang Guodao Liu Kaixuan He Qingtong Ye Yajun Jia Qinghua Zhao Xian Deng Xiaofeng Cao Xianwei Song Gai Huang 2024Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,1:0
14Supramolecular complex glycoconjugate vaccine generates self-enhancement effects for carbohydrate antigen delivery显示文摘Targeting delivery of tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen(TACA)-based vaccine to antigen-presenting cells(APCs)mediated by endogenous antibodies can improve the immunogenicity of TACA.However,an essential requirement of this approach is to generate high titers of endogenous antibodies in vivo through pre-immunization,which complicates the immunization procedure and may cause side effects.Herein,we report a new generation of APC-targeting TACA-based supramolecular complex vaccine,assembled by sialyl Thomsen-nouveau-bovine serum albumin-adamantine(sTn-BSA-Ada)and heptavalent rhamnose(Rha)-modifiedβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)via host-guest interaction.The complex vaccine retained anti-Rha antibodies recruiting capability and facilitated the APCs uptake of the vaccine via the interaction of the Fc-domain with the Fc receptors on APCs.We demonstrate that direct immunization of complex vaccine elicited anti-Rha and anti-sTn specific immune response synchronously,generating a novel self-enhancement effect that can improve the antigen delivery to APCs in high efficacy.The structure-activity relationship(SAR)study proved that complex vaccine 4 with polyethylene glycol 6(PEG 6)linker in host molecule provoked a robust and specific sTn immune response comparable to the pre-immunization approach.The antisera induced by complex vaccine,either through direct immunization or pre-immunization,exhibited equal potency of cytotoxicity against the sTn expression cancer cells.This study provides a general platform for TACA-based vaccines with self-enhancement effects without the need for pre-immunization.Han Lin Yanchun Li Kun Zhou Dan Li Hangyan Yu Jie Zhao Haofei Hong Zhifang Zhou Zhimeng Wu 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2:0

16Effects of light intensity and photoperiod on the growth performance of juvenile Murray cods(Maccullochella peelii)in recirculating aquaculture system(RAS)显示文摘Murray cod(Maccullochella peelii)is a freshwater percichthyid fish that has a high market value and potential for culture in recirculating aquaculture systems(RASs).Illumination is an important environmental factor that affects the growth and physiological condition of fishes.A comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the light factors and the growth,nutrient composition and stress response of juvenile Murray cod in RAS is important to achieve satisfactory theoretical and practical aquaculture performance.Juvenile Murray cod were randomly assigned to nine RAS tanks with a volume of 1.5 m^(3),with each tank containing 120 fishes(3.5±0.5g).The fish were cultured for 120 days under different light intensities(1200,2400,and 3600 lx)and photoperiods(12L:12D,18L:6D and 24L:0D).The results showed that the final weight and feed conversion ratio of Murray cod under a light intensity of 1200 lx were significantly better than those under 3600 lx(P<0.05).The serum total protein and globulin were higher at the light intensity of 1200lx,compared to other light intensities.The blood urea nitrogen level improved with increasing light intensity at LD12:12 and LD18:6 of photoperiod,as well as the superoxide dismutase level improved significantly from LD18:6 to LD24:0 of photoperiod.The findings indicated that the optimal light condition to enhance growth at juvenile stage is 1200 lx of the light intensity and LD18:6 of the photoperiod.Zhengkai Di Kang Li Tiezhu Li Li Yan Haofei Jiang Liping Liu 2023Aquaculture and Fisheries2023,8,3:0
17A novel bioartificial pancreas fabricated via islets microencapsulation in anti-adhesive core-shell microgels and macroencapsulation in a hydrogel scaffold prevascularized in vivo显示文摘Islets transplantation is a promising treatment for type 1 diabetes mellitus. However, severe host immune rejection and poor oxygen/nutrients supply due to the lack of surrounding capillary network often lead to transplantation failure. Herein, a novel bioartificial pancreas is constructed via islets microencapsulation in core-shell microgels and macroencapsulation in a hydrogel scaffold prevascularized in vivo. Specifically, a hydrogel scaffold containing methacrylated gelatin (GelMA), methacrylated heparin (HepMA) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is fabricated, which can delivery VEGF in a sustained style and thus induce subcutaneous angiogenesis. In addition, islets-laden core-shell microgels using methacrylated hyaluronic acid (HAMA) as microgel core and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA)/carboxybetaine methacrylate (CBMA) as shell layer are prepared, which provide a favorable microenvironment for islets and simultaneously the inhibition of host immune rejection via anti-adhesion of proteins and immunocytes. As a result of the synergistic effect between anti-adhesive core-shell microgels and prevascularized hydrogel scaffold, the bioartificial pancreas can reverse the blood glucose levels of diabetic mice from hyperglycemia to normoglycemia for at least 90 days. 18Carbon-Involved Near-Surface Evolution of Cobalt Nanocatalysts:An in Situ Study显示文摘When carbon-containing species are involved in reactions catalyzed by transition metals at high temperature,the diffusion of carbon on or in catalysts dramatically influences the catalytic performance.Acquiring information on the carbon-diffusioninvolved evolution of catalysts at the atomic level is crucial for understanding the reaction mechanism yet also challenging.For the chemical vapor deposition process of single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs),we recorded in situ the catalyst state(solid and molten)composition as well as near-surface structural and chemical evolution at the cobalt catalyst-tube interface with carbon permeation using aberration-corrected environmental transmission electron microscopy and synchrotron X-ray absorption spectroscopy.The nucleation of SWCNTs was linked with an alternating dissolving and precipitating cycle of carbon in catalysts close to the nucleation site.Understanding the dynamics of carbon atoms in catalysts brings deeper insight into the growth mechanism of SWCNTs and facilitates inferring mechanisms of other reactions.The methodologies developed here will find broad applications in studying catalytic and other processes.Feng Yang Haofei Zhao Wu Wang Qidong Liu Xu Liu Yuecong Hu Xinrui Zhang Sheng Zhu Dongsheng He Yingying Xu Jiaqing He Rongming Wang Yan Li 2021CCS Chemistry2021,3,11:0

20Multi‑compartment Organ‑on‑a‑Chip Based on Electrospun Nanofber Membrane as In Vitro Jaundice Disease Model显示文摘Organ-on-a-chip(OOC)is now becoming a potential alternative to the classical preclinical animal models,which reconstitutes in vitro the basic function of specifc human tissues/organs and dynamically simulates physiological or pathological activities in tissue and organ level.Despite of the much progress achieved so far,there is still an urgent need to explore new biomaterials to construct a reliable and efcient tissue-tissue interface and a general fabrication strategy to expand from single-organ OOC to multi-organ OOC in an easy manner.In this paper,we propose a novel strategy to prepare doublecompartment organ-on-a-chip(DC-OOC)using electrospun poly(l-lactic acid)/collagen I(PLLA/Col I)nanofber membrane as tissue-tissue interface.The unique features of PLLA/Col I nanofber membrane like excellent biocompatibility,strong afnity to multiple cells,adjustable orientation,controllable thickness and porosity endow the tissue-tissue interface with excellent semi-permeability,appropriate mechanical support,inducible cell orientation,good cell adhesion and proliferation.The integration of 3D printing technology during the fabrication process enables precise size control of the tissue-tissue interface and stable bonding with microfuidic channels.More importantly,our fabrication strategy and OOC confguration makes it easy to extend from DC-OOC to multi-compartment organ-on-a-chip(MC-OOC).To show its possible application,in vitro jaundice disease model is established by constructing blood vessel/skin/liver/lung organ-on-a-chip via MC-OOC.The downward trends of the cell viability after perfusion of bilirubin,the variation in cell sensitivity to bilirubin for diferent type of cells and recovery of cell viability after blue light therapy prove the feasibility of this jaundice disease model.We believe this general strategy of constructing tissue-tissue interface and multi-organ OOC can be used for many other in vitro physiological and pathological models.Fan Lei Minhua Liang Yang Liu Hanhao Huang Haofei Li Hua Dong 2021Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,6:0
