| 1 | Multispherical interactions and their effects on the Tibetan Plateau's earth system: a review of the recent researches显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP) is a regional Earth system showing very strong interactions among its lithosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, biosphere, atmosphere, and anthrosphere. hese interactions manifest TP's impact on surrounding regions and relect TP's response to the global change. Quantifying the multispherical interactions is critically important to understand the TP environment. Our recent years researches including the ongoing program entitled ‘Tibetan Multi-Spheres Interactions and heir Resource-Environment Signiicance(TIMI)', the completed program entitled. ‘Paleo-Altitudes of Tibetan Plateau and Environment(PATE)', as well as the other relating projects have focused on multidisciplinary research approaches and emphasized on three major pathways: Eurasia-Indian plates collision on deep-Earth dynamics, uplit impact on Earth's mantle–crust dynamics, and contemporary interface on land surface and atmospheric dynamics. Our researches have taken in situ measurement as priority and developed several platforms of data acquisition and analysis, including the platforms of water-phase transformations, and ecosystem observations. Our ield investigations have been conducted to obtain data about stratum, paleontology, paleoenvironment, genetic diferentiation of animals and plants. We have developed conceptual and mathematical models for crust uplit formation, paleoclimate, glacial melt,water–air interface lux, vegetation climate, and soil erosion. We have also assessed the anthropogenic impacts on environment. | 3 | Energy Efficiency and Spectrum Efficiency in Underlay Device-to-Device Communications Enabled Cellular Networks显示文摘In this paper, we investigate the energy efficiency and spectrum efficiency, including one-hop device-to-device(D2D) communications mode and two-way amplify-and-forward(AF) relaying D2D communications mode in underlay D2D communications enabled cellular networks. An analysis of average energy efficiency and spectrum efficiency are developed and closed-form expressions are obtained for two types of D2D communications modes under the effect of Rayleigh fading channel, path loss, and co-channel interference. Analytical results are validated through numerical simulations. Based on the simulation, the effects of the interference, the distance between D2D pair and the position of relay node on the energy efficiency and spectrum efficiency of D2D communications are investigated. | 4 | Beamforming and Interference Cancellation for D2D Communication Assisted by Two-Way Decode-and-Forward Relay Node显示文摘This paper investigates the device-to-device(D2D) communication underlaying cellular network assisted by a two-way decode-and-forward relay node. We assume the base station(BS) is equipped with M-antenna and serves its own cellular user while the D2D users communicate via a two-way decode-and-forward relay node. Both beamforming(BF) and interference cancellation(IC) strategies at the BS are considered to improve the performance for the cellular link and D2D link, respectively. We first analyze the received signal-to-interference-plus-noise for the cellular link under BF and IC strategies and then derive the exact closed-form expressions for the cellular link. Asymmetric and symmetric cases are discussed for various locations of each user. Finally, the approximations for high signal-to-noise regime are also presented. | 6 | Targeting a novel inducible GPX4 alternative isoform to alleviate ferroptosis and treat metabolic-associated fatty liver disease显示文摘Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD),which is previously known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),represents a major health concern worldwide with limited therapy.Here,we provide evidence that ferroptosis,a novel form of regulated cell death characterized by iron-driven lipid peroxidation,was comprehensively activated in liver tissues from MAFLD patients.The canonical-GPX4(cGPX4),which is the most important negative controller of ferroptosis,is downregulated at protein but not mRNA level.Interestingly,a non-canonical GPX4 transcript-variant is induced(inducible-GPX4,iGPX4)in MAFLD condition.The high fat-fructose/sucrose diet(HFFD)and methionine/choline-deficient diet(MCD)-induced MAFLD pathologies,including hepatocellular ballooning,steatohepatitis andfibrosis,were attenuated and aggravated,respectively,in cGPX4-and iGPX4-knockin mice.cGPX4 and iGPX4 isoforms also displayed opposing effects on oxidative stress and ferroptosis in hepatocytes.Knockdown of iGPX4 by siRNA alleviated lipid stress,ferroptosis and cell injury.Mechanistically,the triggered iGPX4 interacts with cGPX4 to facilitate the transformation of cGPX4 from enzymatic-active monomer to enzymatic-inactive oligomers upon lipid stress,and thus promotes ferroptosis.Co-immunoprecipitation and nano LC–MS/MS analyses confirmed the interaction between iGPX4 and cGPX4.Our results reveal a detrimental role of non-canonical GPX4 isoform in ferroptosis,and indicate selectively targeting iGPX4 may be a promising therapeutic strategy for MAFLD. | Jie Tong Dongjie Li Hongbo Meng Diyang Sun Xiuting Lan Min Ni Jiawei Ma Feiyan Zeng Sijia Sun Jiangtao Fu Guoqiang Li Qingxin Ji Guoyan Zhang Qirui Shen Yuanyuan Wang Jiahui Zhu Yi Zhao Xujie Wang Yi Liu Shenxi Ouyang Chunquan Sheng Fuming Shen Pei Wang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9: | 3 |

| 8 | Performance for Device-to-Device Communication with Three-Time-Slot Two-Way Amplify-and-Forward Relay Protocol显示文摘Multi-hop device-to-device(D2D) communication can significantly improve the system performance. This paper studied the outage performance of D2 D communication assisted by another D2 D user using three-timeslot two-way amplify-and-forward relaying protocol over Rayleigh fading channels. Considering the co-channel interference from cellular user at the D2 D node,the approximate expression for the overall outage probability was derived. Furthermore,a power allocation optimum method to minimize the outage probability was developed,and the closed form expression for the optimal power allocation coefficient at the relay was derived. Simulation results demonstrate accuracy of the derived outage probability expressions. | 9 | Triangulation of red sprites observed above a mesoscale convective system in North China显示文摘The triangulation of red sprites was obtained, based on concurrent observations over a mesoscale convective system(MCS) in North China from two stations separated by about 450 km. In addition, broadband sferics from the sprite-producing lightning were measured at five ground stations, making it possible to locate and identify the individual causative lightning discharges for different elements in this dancing sprite event. The results of our analyses indicate that the sprites were produced above the trailing stratiform region of the MCS, and their parent strokes were located mainly in the peripheral area of the stratiform. The lateral offset between sprites and causative strokes ranges from a few km to more than 50 km. | 10 | Interference Cancellation in Device-to-Device Communications underlying MU-MIMO Cellular Networks显示文摘This paper investigates the device-to-device(D2 D) communication underlaying multi-user multi-input multi-output(MU-MIMO) cellular networks. It is assumed that D2 D users reuse the downlink time-frequency resources of cellular links, and the base station(BS) is assumed to be equipped with multiple antennas. We investigate the ergodic achievable sum rate of the system when the interference cancellation(IC) precoding strategy is employed at the BS. The distributions of the received signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SINR) for each link are firstly analyzed, and an exact ergodic achievable sum rate of the whole system with closedform expressions is then derived. Furthermore, we present novel upper and lower bounds with simpler expressions, which are later verified to be fairly close to the Monte-Carlo simulations. All the expressions we presented are suitable for arbitrary network topology and arbitrary number of antennas at BS. Based on the derived bounds, the influence of the antennas at BS on system performance is then analyzed. We reveal that the system performance increases along with the number of antennas at BS in a logarithmic way. | 19 | Development of a simplified and inexpensive RNA depletion method for plasmid DNA purification using size selection magnetic beads(SSMBs)显示文摘Plasmid DNA(pDNA)isolation from bacterial cells is one of the most common and critical steps in molecular cloning and biomedical research.Almost all pDNA purification in-volves disruption of bacteria,removal of membrane lipids,proteins and genomic DNA,purifi-cation of pDNA from bulk lysate,and concentration of pDNA for downstream applications.While many liquid-phase and solid-phase pDNA purification methods are used,the final pDNA preparations are usually contaminated with varied degrees of host RNA,which cannot be completely digested by RNase A.To develop a simple,cost-effective,and yet effective method for RNA depletion,we investigated whether commercially available size selection magnetic beads(SSMBs),such as Mag-Bind®TotalPure NGS Kit(or Mag-Bind),can completely deplete bacterial RNA in pDNA preparations.In this proof-of-principle study,we demonstrated that,compared with RNase A digestion and two commercial plasmid affinity purification kits,the SSMB method was highly efficient in depleting contaminating RNA from pDNA minipreps.Gene transfection and bacterial colony formation assays revealed that pDNA purified from SSMB method had superior quality and integrity to pDNA samples cleaned up by RNase A digestion and/or commercial plasmid purification kits.We further demonstrated that the SSMB method completely depleted contaminating RNA in large-scale pDNA samples.Furthermore,the Mag-bind-based SSMB method costs only 5-10%of most commercial plasmid purification kits on a per sample basis.Thus,the reported SSMB method can be a valuable and inexpensive tool for the removal of bacterial RNA for routine pDNA preparations. | Xi Wang Ling Zhao Xiaoxing Wu Huaxiu Luo Di Wu Meng Zhan Jing Zhang Mikhail Pakvasa William Wagstaff Fang He Yukun Mao Yongtao Zhang Changchun Niu Meng Wu Xia Zhao Hao Wang Linjuan Huang Deyao Shi Qing Liu Na Ni Kai Fu Kelly Hynes Jason Strelzow Mostafa El Dafrawy Tong-Chuan He Hongbo Qi Zongyue Zeng | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,3: | 0 |
