| 3 | Chromopeptide A, a highly cytotoxic depsipeptide from the marine sediment-derived bacterium Chromobacterium sp. HS-13-94显示文摘A bicyclic depsipeptide, chromopeptide A(1), was isolated from a deep-sea-derived bacterium Chromobacterium sp. HS-13-94. Its structure was determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis and by comparison with a related known compound. The absolute configuration of chromopeptide A was established by X-ray diffraction analysis employing graphite monochromated Mo K_α radiation(λ ? 0.71073 ?) with small Flack parameter 0.03. | 4 | Three Decades of Sea-Ice Variability in Jiaozhou Bay Revealed by Landsat Observations显示文摘In this study, we used Landsat images and meteorological data to examine the spatiotemporal distribution and variability of sea ice in Jiaozhou Bay(JZB) between 1986 and 2016. The results show that JZB is not always covered by sea ice in winter, but in some extreme cases, sea ice has covered more than one-third of the sea area of the bay. Sea ice in JZB has generally formed between January 1 and February 5, primarily along the coast, and gradually expanding to the central area of the bay. Both meteorological and artificial factors have played important roles in modulating the sea ice distribution. We found sea ice coverage to have been strongly correlated with the accumulated freezing-degree days nine days before the occurrence of sea ice(R2 = 0.767). North-northwest surface winds have dominated the freezing period of sea water in the JZB, and wind speed has exerted a more significant influence on the formation of sea ice when the sea ice coverage has been generally small. Additionally, artificial factors began to affect the expansion of sea ice in JZB since 2007. | 8 | High-throughput estimation of plant height and above-ground biomass of cotton using digital image analysis and Canopeo显示文摘Plant height and above-ground biomass are important growth parameters that affect crop yield.Efficient and non-destructive technologies of crop phenotypic monitoring play crucial roles in intelligent farmland management.However,the feasibility of using these technologies to estimate cotton plant height and above-ground biomass has not been determined.This study proposed a low cost and high-throughput imaging method combined with Canopeo to extract the percentages of green color from high-definition digital images and establish a model to estimate the cotton plant height and above-ground biomass.The plant height and above-ground biomass field trials were conducted at two levels of irrigation(soil water content 70%±5% and 40%-45%,respectively)using 80 cotton genotypes.The linear fitting performed well across the different cotton genotypes(PH,R^(2)=0.9829;RMSE=2.4 cm;NRMSE=11%and AGB,R^(2)=0.9609;RMSE=0.6 g/plant;and NRMSE=5%),and two levels of irrigation(PH,R^(2)=0.9604;RMSE=2.15 cm;NRMSE=6%and AGB,R^(2)=0.9650;RMSE=4.51 g/plant;and NRMSE=17%).All reached a higher fitting degree.Additionally,the most comprehensive model to estimate the cotton plant height and above-ground biomass(Y=0.4832*X+11.04;Y=0.4621*X-0.3591)was determined using a simple linear regression modeling method.The percentages of green color positively correlated with plant height and above-ground biomass,and each model exhibited higher accuracy(R2≥0.8392,RMSE≤0.0158,NRMSE≤0.06%).Combining a high-definition digital camera with Canopeo enables the prediction of crop growth in the field.The simple linear regression modeling method and the most comprehensive model enable the rapid estimation of the cotton plant height and above-ground biomass.This method can also be used as a baseline to measure other important crop phenotypes. | Congcong Guo Liantao Liu Ke Zhang Hongchun Sun Yongjiang Zhang Anchang Li Zhiying Bai Hezhong Dong Cundong Li | 2022 | Technology in Agronomy2022,2,1: | 0 |

| 10 | Combining Transcriptomics and Metabolomics to Uncover the Effects of High-Energy Lithium-Ion Beam Irradiation on Capsicum annuum L.显示文摘Hot pepper(Capsicum annuum L.)is consumed as one of the oldest domesticated crops all over the world.Although mutation breeding using radiation has been performed in hot peppers,little is known about the comparative analysis of mutagenic effects at the molecular level by ion beam irradiation.To comprehend the response mechanism of hot pepper to the ion beam,we used a mutant with favorable economic characteristics induced by lithium-ion beam irradiation to investigate the biological effects.The results indicated that the lithium-ion beam had a positive effect on important agronomic traits,particularly yield unit,but had a negligible effect on the photosynthetic rate of hot pepper,with a specific influence on chlorophyll b rather than chlorophyll a.By RNA-Seq analysis,671 up-regulated and 376 down-regulated genes were identified as differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between irradiated and unirradiated hot pepper.Based on GO and KEGG network analysis,the auxin metabolic process was the common pathway in these two networks.A total of 118 potential reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging genes and 262 signal transduction genes were identified,suggesting a balance between antioxidant enzymes and enhanced ROS transduction.The amounts of 15 metabolite,involved in GABA pathways,secondary metabolism,carbohydrate metabolism,shikimate pathways,TCA cycles,nitrogen metabolism,glycerol metabolism and acetate pathways,were significantly changed in the ion beam irradiated sample.These results highlighted that the enriched pathways could play important roles in response to ion beam irradiation in hot pepper plants.In summary,these data provide valuable information for future research on ion beam irradiation and genomic studies in hot pepper. | Libo Xie Xue Wang Luxiang Liu Chunmei Xu Yongdun Xie Hongchun Xiong Xinchun Han Mu Guo | 2023 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,11: | 0 |
