| 2 | Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI versus ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT: Which is better in differentiation between malignant and benign solitary pulmonary nodules?显示文摘Objective: To prospectively compare the discriminative capacity of dynamic contrast enhanced-magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI) with that of ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose(^(18)F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT) in the differentiation of malignant and benign solitary pulmonary nodules(SPNs).Methods: Forty-nine patients with SPNs were included in this prospective study. Thirty-two of the patients had malignant SPNs, while the other 17 had benign SPNs. All these patients underwent DCE-MRI and ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT examinations. The quantitative MRI pharmacokinetic parameters, including the trans-endothelial transfer constant(K^(trans)), redistribution rate constant(K_(ep)), and fractional volume(Ve), were calculated using the Extended-Tofts Linear two-compartment model. The ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT parameter, maximum standardized uptake value(SUV_(max)), was also measured. Spearman's correlations were calculated between the MRI pharmacokinetic parameters and the SUV_(max) of each SPN. These parameters were statistically compared between the malignant and benign nodules. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analyses were used to compare the diagnostic capability between the DCE-MRI and ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT indexes.Results: Positive correlations were found between K^(trans) and SUV_(max), and between K_(ep) and SUV_(max)(P<0.05).There were significant differences between the malignant and benign nodules in terms of the K^(trans), K_(ep) and SUV_(max) values(P<0.05). The areas under the ROC curve(AUC) of K^(trans), K_(ep) and SUV_(max) between the malignant and benign nodules were 0.909, 0.838 and 0.759, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity in differentiating malignant from benign SPNs were 90.6% and 82.4% for K^(trans); 87.5% and 76.5% for K_(ep); and 75.0% and 70.6%for SUV_(max), respectively. | 3 | Chromopeptide A, a highly cytotoxic depsipeptide from the marine sediment-derived bacterium Chromobacterium sp. HS-13-94显示文摘A bicyclic depsipeptide, chromopeptide A(1), was isolated from a deep-sea-derived bacterium Chromobacterium sp. HS-13-94. Its structure was determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis and by comparison with a related known compound. The absolute configuration of chromopeptide A was established by X-ray diffraction analysis employing graphite monochromated Mo K_α radiation(λ ? 0.71073 ?) with small Flack parameter 0.03. | 4 | The spatio-temporal variation of wintertime subtidal currents in the western Taiwan Strait显示文摘A new data set of observations by six cruises of ship-mounted acoustic doppler current profiler(SADCP) and three 40 d long bottom-mounted ADCPs(BADCPs) is employed to reveal the spatiotemporal variability of tidal and subtidal currents in the western Taiwan Strait(TWS) during winter season. The results confirm the existence of intense cotidal lines for M_2 tidal current, which is located north of 25°N. In this case, no existence of an amphidromic point can be identified. It is also revealed that the counter-wind current(CWC) can extend through the whole western TWS and even occupy the entire water column during winter monsoon relaxation. However,this CWC is observed to be thoroughly overwhelmed by the downwind China coastal current(CCC) during the two big monsoon bloom events in the winter of 2007, and the CCC consequently extends southward throughout the western TWS instead. | 5 | Tetrahydroisoquinolines as novel histone deacetylase inhibitors for treatment of cancer显示文摘Histone acetylation is a critical process in the regulation of chromatin structure and gene expression.Histone deacetylases(HDACs)remove the acetyl group,leading to chromatin condensation and transcriptional repression.HDAC inhibitors are considered a new class of anticancer agents and have been shown to alter gene transcription and exert antitumor effects.This paper describes our work on the structural determination and structure-activity relationship(SAR)optimization of tetrahydroisoquinoline compounds as HDAC inhibitors.These compounds were tested for their ability to inhibit HDAC 1,3,6 and for their ability to inhibit the proliferation of a panel of cancer cell lines.Among these,compound 82 showed the greatest inhibitory activity toward HDAC 1,3,6 and strongly inhibited growth of the cancer cell lines,with results clearly superior to those of the reference compound,vorinostat(SAHA).Compound 82 increased the acetylation of histones H3,H4 and tubulin in a concentration-dependent manner,suggesting that it is a broad inhibitor of HDACs. | Danqi Chen Aijun Shen Guanghua Fang Hongchun Liu Minmin Zhang Shuai Tang Bing Xiong Lanping Ma Meiyu Geng Jingkang Shen | 2016 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2016,6,1: | 4 |
| 6 | Species richness and composition of shrub-encroached grasslands in relation to environmental factors in northern China显示文摘Aims Shrub encroachment has taken place in many of China’s northern grasslands.This study attempts to answer the following questions:which plant communities are present in these shrub-encroached grasslands(SEGs)?What are the species richness and composition of these communities?Which environmental factors determine the spatial distribution thereof?Methods We investigated the community characteristics of 255 SEG plots with a size of 20 m×20 m at 69 locations across grasslands in northern China.In each plot,paired 1-m^(2) quadrats were estab-lished within shrub patches and the neighbouring grassy matrix to record herb species composition.The quantitative character-istics(abundance,coverage and height)of herbs were meas-ured in 0.25-m2 subquadrats,and soil samples were collected in the quadrats.Two-way indicator species analysis(TWINSPAN),detrended canonical analysis(DCA)and canonical correspond-ence analysis(CCA)were used for community clustering and ordination.Important Findings The DCA and TWINSPAN results suggested that the SEGs in northern China can be divided into six community types:Potentilla fruticosa+Carex atrofusca,Spiraea hypericifolia+Festuca ovina,Caragana acanthophylla+Stipa sareptana,Caragana microphylla+Leymus chinensis,Caragana microphylla+Stipa klemenzii and Caragana tibetica+Cleistogenes songorica.At a regional scale,climate and soil nutrients controlled the spatial patterns of species richness and community composition of the SEGs in northern China.Temperature exerted a negative impact,whereas precipitation and nutrients had positive effects on species richness.Among the environmental factors used,climate was the major controller of the variations in commu-nity structure.These results provide new insights into the community composition of SEGs in China and enrich the global dataset of SEGs. | Luhong Zhou Haihua Shen Leiyi Chen He Li Pujin Zhang Xia Zhao Taoyu Liu Shangshi Liu Aijun Xing Huifeng Hu Jingyun Fang | 2019 | Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,1: | 3 |
| 7 | Comprehensive and high-resolution emission inventory of atmospheric pollutants for the northernmost cities agglomeration of Harbin-Changchun,China:Implications for local atmospheric environment management显示文摘Using a bottom-up estimation method,a comprehensive,high-resolution emission inventory of gaseous and particulate atmospheric pollutants for multiple anthropogenic sectors with typical local sources has been developed for the Harbin-Changchun city agglomeration(HCA).The annual emissions for CO,NO_(x),SO_(2),NH_(3),VOC S,PM_(2.5),PM 10,BC and OC during 2017 in the HCA were estimated to be 5.82 Tg,0.70 Tg,0.34 Tg,0.75 Tg,0.81 Tg,0.67 Tg,1.59 Tg,0.12 Tg and 0.26 Tg,respectively.For PM 10 and SO_(2),the emissions from industry processes were the dominant contributors representing 54.7%and 49.5%,respectively,of the total emissions,while 95.3%and 44.5%of the total NH_(3)and NO x emissions,respectively,were from or associated with agricultural activities and transportation.Spatiotemporal distributions showed that most emissions(except NH_(3))occurred in November to March and were concentrated in the central cities of Changchun and Harbin and the surrounding cities.Open burning of straw made an important contribution to PM_(2.5)in the central regions of the northeastern plain during autumn and spring,while domestic coal combustion for heating purposes was significant with respect to SO_(2)and PM_(2.5)emissions during autumn and winter.Furthermore,based on Principal Component Analysis and Multivariable Linear Regression model,air temperature,relative humidity,electricity and energy consumption,and the urban and rural population were optimized to be representative indicators for rapidly assessing the magnitude of regional atmospheric pollutants in the HCA.Such indicators and equations were demonstrated to be useful for local atmospheric environment management. | Mengduo Zhang Weiwei Chen Xiangjin Shen Hongmei Zhao Chengkang Gao Xuelei Zhang Wei Liu Chengjiang Yang Yang Qin Shichun Zhang Jing Fu Daniel Tong Aijun Xiu | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,6: | 3 |

| 10 | Yield and quality properties of silage maize and their influencing factors in China显示文摘Silage maize(Zea mays L.) is one of the most important forages in the world, and its yield and quality properties are critical parameters for livestock production and assessment of forage values. However, relationships between its yield and quality properties and the controlling factors are not well documented. In this study, we collected 5,663 observations from 196 publications across the country to identify the relationships between yield and quality properties of silage maize and to assess the impact of management practices and climatic factors on its yield and quality in China. The average dry matter yield of silage maize was(19.98±6.93) Mg ha^(-1), and the average value of crude protein, ether extract, crude ash, crude fiber, acid detergent fiber, neutral detergent fiber, nitrogen-free extract, and relative feed value was 7.86%±1.71%, 2.53%±1.01%, 5.05%±1.66%,23.97%±6.34%, 27.62%±7.12%, 51.60%±9.85%, 59.68%±7.72%, and 131.17±31.49, respectively. In general, its nutritive value decreased as its yield increased. Increasing planting density could increase the yield but inhibit the nutritive values, while increasing fertilization could benefit the nutritive values. Geographically, the yield increased and the nutritive value decreased from warm(south) to cold(north) regions. The length of growth duration was a major controlling factor for the patterns of these properties. Stable strain measurement results open the door for improved estimates of earthquake occurrence. The Kostrov’s formula (1974) translates the smoothed strain rates in North China into geodetic moment rates. In North China, the ratio of seismic moment released to moment accumulated from GPS measurement is 60.6% in NS direction, 68.9% in EW direction, and 104.1% in NE shear direction. The near unit ratio points to the reliability of GPS measurements there. | 18 | Hydrocarbon Enrichment and Main Controlling Factors in Offshore Rift Basins of China:A Case Study in the Beibuwan Basin显示文摘Beibuwan B asin is an important offshore oil and gas bearing basin of China.However,the distribution of oil and gas in different sags is uneven,and the rule of hydrocarbon accumulation and main controlling factors have not been clearly understood in this basin.Based on abundant seismic,well and analytical data,the differences and main controlling of tectonic evolution,sedimentary filling and source rock quality in sags are analyzed,and combined with the study of geothermal filed,the main controlling factors of differential hydrocarbon generation in sags of the Beibuwan Basin are clarified.On the basis of the research above,the hydrocarbon enrichment of the basin is clarified through the systematic analysis of reservoir-caprock assemblage and accumulation characteristics of different structural units.The results show that there are four NE-trending sag zones in the basin,and under the influence of fault activity,the scale of sags is regularly distributed.The scale of rifts in different sag zones decreases gradually from northwest to southeast and the scale of rifts in the middle of a single sag zone is normally larger than that at two ends.Under the control of the sag-controlling faults activity,paleoproductivity and organic matter preservation conditions,the quality of source rocks in sags of the Beibuwan Basin decreases from northwest to southeast.The hydrocarbon-rich sags in the Beibuwan Basin were formed under the control of source rocks and geothermal field,and the distribution of large-medium scale fields is controlled by the favorable structural traps in the rift strata of inner gentle slope zone.The understanding of the hydrocarbon enrichment and main controlling factors in the Beibuwan Basin also provides a significant guidance for the oil and gas exploration in other rift basins. | ZHANG Gongcheng WU Aijun LI Hongyi QU Hongjun LI Youchuan XIAO Lingli ZHANG Zhenyu SHEN Jiao | 2021 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,1: | 0 |
