1Iron toxicity, lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis after intracerebral haemorrhage显示文摘Intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) is a devastating type of stroke with high mortality and morbidity. However, we have few options for ICH therapy and limited knowledge about post-ICH neuronal death and related mechanisms. In the aftermath of ICH, iron overload within the perihaematomal region can induce lethal reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and lipid peroxidation, which contribute to secondary brain injury. Indeed, iron chelation therapy has shown efficacy in preclinical ICH studies. Recently, an iron-dependent form of non-apoptotic cell death known as ferroptosis was identified. It is characterised by an accumulation of iron-induced lipid ROS, which leads to intracellular oxidative stress. The ROS cause damage to nucleic acids, proteins and lipid membranes, and eventually cell death. Recently, we and others discovered that ferroptosis does occur after haemorrhagic stroke in vitro and in vivo and contributes to neuronal death. Inhibition of ferroptosis is beneficial in several in vivo and in vitro ICH conditions. This minireview summarises current research on iron toxicity, lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis in the pathomechanisms of ICH, the underlying molecular mechanisms of ferroptosis and the potential for combined therapeutic strategies. 3Size distributions of aerosol and water-soluble ions in Nanjing during a crop residual burning event显示文摘To investigate the impact on urban air pollution by crop residual burning outside Nanjing,aerosol concentration,pollution gas concentration,mass concentration,and water-soluble ion size distribution were observed during one event of November 4-9,2010.Results show that the size distribution of aerosol concentration is bimodal on pollution days and normal days,with peak values at 60-70 and 200-300 nm,respectively.Aerosol concentration is 10 4 cm 3 ·nm 1 on pollution days.The peak value of spectrum distribution of aerosol concentration on pollution days is 1.5-3.3 times higher than that on a normal day.Crop residual burning has a great impact on the concentration of fine particles.Diurnal variation of aerosol concentration is trimodal on pollution days and normal days,with peak values at 03:00,09:00 and 19:00 local standard time.The first peak is impacted by meteorological elements,while the second and third peaks are due to human activities,such as rush hour traffic.Crop residual burning has the greatest impact on SO 2 concentration,followed by NO 2,O 3 is hardly affected.The impact of crop residual burning on fine particles(< 2.1 μm) is larger than on coarse particles(> 2.1 μm),thus ion concentration in fine particles is higher than that in coarse particles.Crop residual burning leads to similar increase in all ion components,thus it has a small impact on the water-soluble ions order.Crop residual burning has a strong impact on the size distribution of K +,Cl,Na +,and F and has a weak impact on the size distributions of NH 4 +,Ca 2+,NO 3 and SO 4 2.Honglei Wang Bin Zhu Lijuan Shen Hanqing Kang 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,8:15
4Hydrogen Sulfide Positively Regulates Abscisic Acid Signaling through Persulf idation of SnRK2.6 in Guard Cells显示文摘The phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)plays pivotal roles in triggering stomatal closure and facilitating adaptation of plants to drought stress.Hydrogen sulfide(H2S),a small signaling gas molecule,is involved in ABA-dependent stomatal closure.However,how H2S regulates ABA signaling remains largely unclear.Here,we show that ABA induces the production of H2S catalyzed by L-CYSTEINE DESULFHYDRASE1(DES1)in guard cells,and H2S in turn positively regulates ABA signaling through persulfidation of Open Stomata 1(OST1)/SNF1-RELATED PROTEIN KINASE2.6(SnRK2.6).Two cysteine(Cys)sites,Cys131 and Cys137,which are exposed on the surface of SnRK2.6 and close to the activation loop,were identified to be persulfidated,which promotes the activity of SnRK2.6 and its interaction with ABA response element-binding factor 2(ABF2),a transcription factor acting downstream of ABA signaling.When Cys131,Cys137,or both residues in SnRK2.6 were substituted with serine(S),H2S_induced SnRK2_6 activity and SnRK2.6-ABF2 interaction were partially(SnRK2.6c131s and SnRK2.6c137S)or completely(SnRK2.6c131sc137S)compromised.Introduction of SnRK2.6c131s,SnRK2.6c137S,or SnRK2.6c131sc137S into the ost1-3 mutant could not rescue the mutant phenotype:less sensitivity to ABA-and H2S-induced stomatal closure and Ca2+influx as well as increased water loss and decreased drought tolerance.Taken together,our study reveals a novel post-translational regulatory mechanism of ABA signaling whereby H2S persulfidates SnRK2.6 to promote ABA signaling and ABA-induced stomatal closure.Sisi Chen Honglei Jia Xiaofeng Wang Cong Shi Xiao Wang Peiyun Ma Juan Wang Meijuan Ren Jisheng Li 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,5:13
5A review on China's constructed wetlands in recent three decades:Application and practice显示文摘Constructed wetlands(CWs)have been introduced to and developed in China for environmental engineering over the most prosperous three decades(1990–2020).To study the origin,development process,and future trend of CWs,this review summarized a wide range of literatures between 1990 and 2020 by Chinese authors.Firstly,the publication number over years,research highlights,and the author contributions with the most published papers in this field were conducted through bibliometric analysis.Secondly,the most principal components of CWs,substrates and macrophytes were summarized and analyzed.Thirdly,the typical application cases from traditional CWs,pond systems to combined pond-wetland systems were presented.In China,CWs were predominately distributed in the east of the so-called'Hu Huanyong Line'.Therefore CWs were limited by the socio-economic level and climatic conditions.It is unquestionable that the overall level of China's CWs has improved significantly,and one of the most prominent features has started towards the plural pattern development.There has been a trend of large-scale or low-cost CW application in the recent years.However,lifecycle research and management are required for better strategies in the future.Hong Zhang Wenzhong Tang Weidong Wang Wei Yin Honglei Liu Xiaomin Ma Yiqi Zhou Pei Lei Dongyang Wei Litian Zhang Cao Liu Jinmiao Zha 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,6:13
6Mixing state of individual carbonaceous particles during a severe haze episode in January 2013,Nanjing,China显示文摘Chemical composition,hourly counts,and sizes of atmospheric carbonaceous particles were measured to investigate their mixing state on clear and hazy days.623,122 carbonaceous particles with sizes0.2-2.0 μm was analyzed using a single-particle aerosol mass spectrometer from 1st to 17 th January2013.Particle types included biomass/biofuel burning particles(biomass),element carbon(EC-dominant)particles that were also mixed with biomass/biofuel burning species(EC-biomass) or secondary species(EC-secondary),organic carbon(OC),internally mixed OC and EC(OCEC),ammonium-containing(ammonium) and sodium-containing(sodium) particles.On clear days the top ranked carbonaceous particle types were biomass(48.2%),EC-biomass(15.7%),OCEC(11.1%),and sodium(9.6%),while on hazy days they were biomass(37.3%),EC-biomass(17.6%),EC-secondary(16.6%),and sodium(12.7%).The fractions of EC-secondary,ammonium(10%),and sodium particle types were elevated on hazy days.Numbers of EC-secondary particles were more than four times those on clear days(4.1%).Thus,carbonaceous particles mixed with ammonium,nitrate and sulfate during aging and transport,enhancing their light extinction effects and hygroscopic growth under high relative humidity on hazy days,further reducing visibility.Our real-time single-particle data showed that changes to mixing state had a significant impact on light extinction during haze events in Nanjing.Honglei Wang Bin Zhu Zefeng Zhang Junlin An Lijuan Shen 2015Particuology2015,13,3:12
7热处理前后非脱气交联聚乙烯的介电性能和机械性能分析(英文)显示文摘In order to investigate the influence of cross-linking byproducts on dielectric and mechanical properties of 110k V cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)cable insulation,we selected the undegassed XLPE cable insulation which is heated at 70℃in laboratory for different duration in terms of heating time,to prepare XLPE samples with different mass loss ratio.We carried out Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)test,electric breakdown test at 50 Hz,pulsed electro-acoustic(PEA)measurement and tensile test for XLPE samples.In FTIR spectrogram,the characteristic absorption peaks were observed to appear at 1 680 cm-1 and 1 600 cm-1,which can be related to two kinds of cross-linking byproducts includingα-methylstyrene and acetophenone.The intensity of these absorption peaks decreases with the increase of mass loss ratio.It can be proposed that the mass loss of XLPE samples in the process of thermal treatment is caused by volatiliztion ofα-methylstyrene and acetophenone.Therefore,the change of mass loss ratio can reflect the change of content ofα-methylstyrene and acetophenone in the process of thermal treatment.The results of electric breakdown test showed that the reduction ofα-methylstyrene and acetophenone leads to the enhancement of electric breakdown strength at 50 Hz.PEA measurement results showed that heterocharge is produced and accumulated when cross-linking byproducts are present,whereas no heterocharge is found whenα-methylstyrene and acetophenone are absent.The formation of heterocharge is attributed to ionization of cross-linking byproducts under electric stress.Based on these results,it can be suggested that when AC electric field is applied on XLPE samples,the occurrence of ionization of cross-linking byproducts results in the increase of free carriers in XLPE insulation,leading to a lower electric breakdown strength.The results of tensile test showed that tensile strength is proportional to the mass loss ratio of XLPE samples,which suggests that cross-linking byproducts can reduce the tensile strength of XLPE insulation.LI Huan LI Jianying WANG Qimeng ZHOU Yunjie LI Honglei 2015高电压技术2015,41,4:11
8KD-S SiC_f/SiC composites with BN interface fabricated by polymer infiltration and pyrolysis process显示文摘Continuous silicon carbide fiber reinforced silicon carbide matrix(SiC_f/SiC) composites are attractive candidate materials for aerospace engine system and nuclear reactor system. In this paper, SiC_f/SiC composites were fabricated by polymer infiltration and pyrolysis(PIP) process using KD-S fiber as the reinforcement and the LPVCS as the precursor, while the BN interface layer was introduced by chemical vapor deposition(CVD) process using borazine as the single precursor. The effect of the BN interface layer on the structure and properties of the SiC_f/SiC composites was comprehensively investigated. The results showed that the BN interface layer significantly improved the mechanical properties of the KD-S SiC_f/SiC composites. The flexure strength and fracture toughness of the KD-S SiC_f/SiC composites were evidently improved from 314±44.8 to 818±39.6 MPa and 8.6± 0.5 to 23.0±2.2 MPa·m^(1/2), respectively. The observation of TEM analysis displayed a turbostratic structure of the CVD-BN interface layer that facilitated the improvement of the fracture toughness of the SiC_f/SiC composites. 11Annual variations of black carbon over the Yangtze River Delta from 2015 to 2018显示文摘In this study,the black carbon (BC) measurements in the atmosphere of Nanjing,China were continuously conducted from 2015 to 2018 using a Model AE-33 aethalometer.By combining dataset of PM_(2.5),PM_(10),CO,NO_2,SO_2,O_3 and meteorological parameters,the temporal variations and the source apportionment of BC were given in this study.The results showed that the PM_(2.5) mass concentrations decreased in Nanjing,with an average annual rate of variation of 6.50μg/(m^3·year).Differently,the annual average concentrations of BC increased with an average annual variation rate of 214.71 ng/(m^3·year).The seasonal variations showed the pattern of BC mass concentrations in winter>autumn>spring>summer.The diurnal variations of BC mass concentrations showed a double-peak in all four seasons.The first peak occurred at approximately 7:00 in spring,summer and autumn and around 8:00 in winter.The second peak took place after 18:00.The average AAE (absorption ?ngstr?m exponent) was 1.26 with a maximum of 1.35 during wintertime and the lowest(1.12) during summertime.In addition,the AAE was smaller in the daytime than that at night,with a minimum occurring between 13:00 and 14:00.BC and visibility show a good power-function relationship at different humidity levels.The average values of the visibility thresholds of the BC mass concentrations in spring,summer,autumn and winter were 1.326,5.522,1.340 and 0.708μg/m^3,respectively.The greater the relative humidity,the smaller the visibility threshold for the BC mass concentrations was.Yue Tan Honglei Wang Shuangshuang Shi Lijuan Shen Chen Zhang Bin Zhu Song Guo zhijun Wu Ziyi Song Yan Yin Ankang Liu 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10:8
12Characterization of the aerosol chemical composition during the COVID-19 lockdown period in Suzhou in the Yangtze River Delta,China显示文摘To control the spread of COVID-19,rigorous restrictions have been implemented in China,resulting in a great reduction in pollutant emissions.In this study,we evaluated the air quality in the Yangtze River Delta during the COVID-19 lockdown period using satellite and ground-based data,including particle matter(PM),trace gases,water-soluble ions(WSIs) and black carbon(BC).We found that the impacts of lockdown policy on air quality cannot be accurately assessed using MODIS aerosol optical depth(AOD) data,whereas the tropospheric nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2)) vertical column density can well reflect the influences of these restrictions on human activities.Compared to the pre-COVID period,the PM_(2.5),PM_(10),NO_(2),carbon monoxide(CO),BC and WSIs during the lockdown in Suzhou were observed to decrease by 37.2%,38.3%,64.5%,26.1%,53.3% and 58.6%,respectively,while the sulfur dioxide(SO_(2)) and ozone(O_(3)) increased by 1.5% and 104.7%.The WSIs ranked in the order of NO_(3)~->NH_(4)^(+)>SO_(4)^(2-)>Cl~->Ca^(2+)>K^(+)>Mg^(2+)>Na + during the lockdown period.By comparisons with the ion concentrations during the pre-COVID period,we found that the ions NO 3-,NH 4 +,SO_(4)^(2-),Cl~-,Ca^(2+),K^(+) and Na^(+) decreased by 66.3%,48.8%,52.9%,56.9%,57.9% and 76.3%,respectively,during the lockdown,in contrast to Mg^(2+),which increased by 30.2%.The lockdown policy was found to have great impacts on the diurnal variations of Cl~-,SO_(4)^(2-),Na^(+) and Ca^(2+).Honglei Wang Qing Miao Lijuan Shen Qian Yang Yezheng Wu Heng Wei Yan Yin Tianliang Zhao Bin Zhu Wen Lu 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:8
13Study on intelligent control technology for forming steel pipe of pipeline with JCO process显示文摘Based on plastic bending engineering theory and machine vision technology, the intelligent control technology for forming steel pipe with JCO process is presented in this paper. By ‘twice pre-bending method’ in the first forming step, the springback law can be obtained. With the springback law and the target angle, the exact punch displacement which determines the formed angle in each bending step is predicted. In the succedent forming steps, the bending process is carried out with the exact punch displacement by real-time revising the springback law. And the angle error in each forming step is calculated by comparing the actual formed angle with the target angle. By conducting compensation for the last angle error in the next forming step, each precise bending process step is realized. A system of intelligent control technology for forming the steel pipe was developed. A calibration method is proposed to calculate the exterior parameters of the CCD camera, in which the equilateral triangle is em-ployed as the calibrating board and only one image needs to be captured. A mathematical model, which converts the angle in the image into the actual formed angle, is derived. 16Design of variable screw pitch rib snapping roller and residue cutter for corn harvesters显示文摘The blocking between two snapping rollers will seriously constrict the harvesting efficiency for corn harvester.A variable screw pitch rib snapping roller was developed to solve this problem.The comparative experiment between fixed screw pitch rib snapping rollers and variable screw pitch rib snapping rollers illustrated that variable screw pitch ribs can avoid corn-stalk blocking effectively,and it can improve working efficiency by 56.7%.Conservation tillage with standing corn residue was testified that it had a strong control of soil wind erosion.In order to implement this mode of conservation tillage at a production scale,a cutter was developed in this study.Subsequently,two experiments were conducted,one was to test the cutting ratio(defined as the totally cut off stalk population divided by total stalk population),and the other one was to test standing-residue height.The experiment results showed that the mean cutting ratio increased significantly(p<0.05)along with increasing height of cutter-head above the ground(cutting height);the cutting ratio’s mean value increased significantly(p<0.05)along with the decreasing angle between the cutter-head and the ground(cutting angle).The average standing-residue height increased along with the increase of cutting height from 300 mm to 500 mm.The average standing-residue height increased significantly(p<0.05)along with the decrease of cutting angle from 15°to 0°.Therefore,the newly designed snapping roller can improve the harvesting efficiency and prolong the working life of the cutting table;and the cutter can promote the popularization of the conservation tillage with standing corn residue in Northeast China.Wang Gang Jia Honglei Tang Lie Zhuang Jian Jiang Xinming Guo Mingzhuo 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,1:6
17Characterization on jointed rock masses based on PFC2D显示文摘Geometrical parameters of discontinuities,such as spacing,length,dip and fault throw between joints have a great influence on the mechanical behavior of jointed rock masses.Accurate characterization for discontinuities is important for investigate the stability of rock masses.In this paper,the PFC2D is combined with joint network generation method to examine the mechanical behaviors of jointed mass.Taking Miaogou Open-pit Mine as an example,the information and statistical distributions of discontinuities of the slope rock masses are measured by ShapeMetriX3D measuring tool.Then,the automatic generation algorithm of random joints network based on the Monte-Carlo method is proposed using the programming language(FISH)embedded within PFC2D.This algorithm could represent the discontinuities compared with the geological surveys.In simulating the compression test of a jointed rock sample,the mechanical behavior and crack propagation were investigated.The results reveal that the failure mode and crack propagation of the jointed rock are dominated by the distribution of joints in addition to the intact rock properties.The simulation result shows the feasibility of the joints generating method in application to jointed rock mass.Peitao WANG Tianhong YANG Qinglei YU Honglei LIU Penghai ZHANG 2013Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2013,7,1:5
18A universal elliptical disc(UED)model to represent natural rock fractures显示文摘Since natural fractures are often non-equidimensional,the circular disc model still has great limitations.By contrast,the elliptical disc model is more applicable to representing natural fractures,especially for slender ones.This paper developed a universal elliptical disc(UED)model by incorporating the center point,size,and azimuth of fractures as variables.Specifically,with respect to the azimuth of elliptical fractures in three-dimensional(3D)space,we proposed a paradigm to construct its probability density function(PDF)by coupling the orientation and rotation angle of long axis based on three coordinate transformations.To illustrate the construction process of the PDF of the fracture azimuth,we took the orientation following the Fisher distribution and the rotation angle following Von Mises distribution as an example.A rock slope is used to show the use of the developed UED model,and the 3D DFNs for the slope rock mass are generated by Monte Carlo simulation.In addition,the DFNs for the rock mass are also generated based on the existing circular disc model and non-universal elliptical disc model.The comparison results from the three models clearly illustrate the superiority of the UED model over the existing circular and non-universal elliptical disc models.Jun Zheng Jichao Guo Jiongchao Wang Honglei Sun Jianhui Deng Qing Lv 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2:4
19Highly conductive wear resistant Cu/Ti3SiC2(TiC/SiC) co-continuous composites via vacuum infiltration process显示文摘The MAX phase Ti3SiC2 has broad application prospects in the field of rail transit,nuclear protective materials and electrode materials due to its excellent electrical conductivity,selflubricating properties and wear resistance.Cu–Ti3SiC2 co-continuous composites have superior performance due to the continuous distribution of 3 D network structures.In this paper,the Cu/Ti3SiC2(Ti C/Si C)co-continuous composites are formed via vacuum infiltration process from Cu and Ti3SiC2 porous ceramics.The co-continuous composites have significantly improved the flexural strength and conductivity of Ti3SiC2 due to the addition of Cu,with the conductivity up to 5.73×10^5 S/m,twice as high as the Ti3SiC2 porous ceramics and five times higher than graphite.The reaction between ingredients leads to an increase in the friction coefficient,while the hard reaction products(Ti Cx,Si C)lower the overall wear rate(1×10^–3 mm^3/(N·m)).Excellent electrical conductivity and wear resistance make co-continuous composites more advantageous in areas such as rail transit.Dexuan YANG Yu ZHOU Xingheng YAN Honglei WANG Xingui ZHOU 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,1:4
20Dendrocalamus latiflorus and its component rutin exhibit glucose-lowering activities by inhibiting hepatic glucose production via AKT activation显示文摘The potential medicinal value of Ma bamboo(Dendrocalamus latiflorus), one of the most popular and economically important bamboo species in China, has been underestimated. In the present study, we found that D. latiflorus leaf extract(DLE) reduced fasting blood glucose levels, body weight,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol with low liver toxicity in db/db mice. In addition, gene expression profiling was performed and pathway enrichment analysis showed that DLE affected metabolic pathways.Importantly, DLE activated the AKT signaling pathway and reduced glucose production by downregulating glucose-6-phosphatase(G6 PC) and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1(PCK1) expression. Moreover, network pharmacology analysis identified rutin as an active component in DLE through targeting insulin growth factor 1 receptor(IGF1 R), an upstream signaling transducer of AKT.
