| 8 | Investigation of frost heave prevention using permeable subgrade structure显示文摘This paper set up a series of comprehensive targets based on the concept of 'anti-freeze filler', which include reasonable water retention rate, frost heave characteristics, and compaction characteristics of filling material. Then, a type of permeable graded gravel is proposed, suitable for high-speed railway subgrade. A series of in-door water retention, permeability, and frost heave tests were performed under different graded conditions. Water retention, permeability, and frost heave characteristic of different graded filling materials can be determined, in order to define the gradation range of permeable graded gravel. Relying on the frost-heave monitoring record of high speed railway in Northeast China, a series of experimental studies were performed, which included on-site filler production, compaction test, and the anti-frost effect test, in order to improve the production and compaction techniques of permeable graded gravel. | 9 | Synthesis of biodegradable waterborne phosphatidylcholine polyurethanes for soft tissue engineering applications显示文摘To further improve the biocompatibility of polyurethanes,a new lysine 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol phosphatidylcholine(LAPC)is synthesized to use as chain extender for preparing a series of phosphatidylcholine polyurethanes(PCPUs).Poly(e-caprolactone)(PCL)and poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)are used as soft segments,and L-lysine ethyl ester diisocyanate(LDI),LAPC and L-lysine are used as hard segments.The obtained PCPUs exhibit appropriate mechanical properties with break elongation of 1000–1700%,tensile strength of 7–22 MPa,and relatively high elastic modulus of 11–18 MPa,which could admirably satisfy the requirement for soft tissue engineering scaffolds.The phosphatidylcholine structures can increase the hydrophilicity of PCPU surfaces,which effectively reduce protein adsorption and platelet adhesion while promoting the cell proliferation.In addition,the LAPC chain extender,PCPU films and ultimate degradation products of PCPUs are proved to be nontoxic in cytotoxicity test.More interestingly,the cytokine release test of macrophages manifests that both LAPC and PCPU degradation products could effectively improve the proliferation of macrophages and induce them into a wound-healing phenotype.Thus,the obtained PCPUs have greatly potential applications of soft tissue engineering scaffolds for tissue repair and wound healing. | Hongye Hao Ya Deng Yingke Wu Siyuan Liu Weiwei Lin Jiehua Li Feng Luo | 2017 | Regenerative Biomaterials2017,4,2: | 3 |
| 10 | Pd nanoparticles immobilized on graphite oxide modified with a base: Highly efficient catalysts for selective hydrogenation of citral显示文摘In this work, the Pd-based catalysts were designed via immobilizing Pd nanoparticles on graphite oxide (GO) modified with organic base, 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine (TMG), which was used for the selective hydrogenation of citral. These catalysts were characterized by various techniques including IR, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was demonstrated that the Pd particles with size less than 5 nm were uniformly distributed throughout the support, and they were in the electron-deficient state due to the strong interactions with the modified support. The resultant Pd-TMG/GO catalyst displayed high efficiency for the selective hydrogenation of citral with a turnover frequency of 7100 h-1 as well as superior selectivity to citronellal of 89.6%. | 15 | One-step preparation of branched PEG functionalized AIE-active luminescent polymeric nanoprobes显示文摘The synthesis of amphiphilic aggregation-induced emission(AIE) dyes based organic nanoparticles has recently attracted increasing attention in the biomedical fields. These AIE dyes based nanoparticles could effectively overcome the aggregation caused quenching effect of conventional organic dyes, making them promising candidates for fabrication of ultrabright organic luminescent nanomaterials. In this work, AIE-active luminescent polymeric nanoparticles(4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs) were facilely fabricated through Michael addition reaction between tetraphenylethene acrylate(TPE-E) and 4-arm-poly(ethylene glycol)-amine(4-NH_2-PEG) in rather mild ambient. The 4-NH_2-PEG can not only endow these AIE-active LPNs good water dispersibility, but also provide functional groups for further conjugation reaction. The size, morphology and luminescent properties of 4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs were characterized by a series of techniques in detail. Results suggested that these AIE-active LPNs showed spherical morphology with diameter about 100–200 nm. The obtained 4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs display high water dispersibility and strong fluorescence intensity because of their self assembly and AIE properties of TPE-E.Biological evaluation results demonstrated that 4-NH_2-PEG-TPE-E LPNs showed negative toxicity toward cancer cells and good fluorescent imaging performance. | 17 | A self-powered temperature-sensitive electronic-skin based on tribotronic effect of PDMS/PANI nanostructures显示文摘A new self-powered temperature-sensitive electronic-skin(e-skin) for real-time monitoring body temperature without external electricity power was fabricated from patterned polydimethylsiloxane/polyaniline(PDMS/PANI) nanostructures. The e-skin can be feasibly attached on the human body and driven by the mechanical motion energy through triboelectric effect. The outputting triboelectric impulse of the PDMS/PANI units is significantly dependent on the local surface temperature of the eskin, serving as both the power source and temperature sensing signal. The outputting current of the e-skin increases with increasing surface temperature of the device. Under applied bending deformation,the response of the e-skin is up to 63.6 for 38.6℃. The e-skin can detect minimum temperature change of 0.4℃. The working mechanism can be ascribed to the coupling effect of triboelectric and semiconductor properties(tribotronic effect). A practical application of the e-skin attaching on the human body for detecting the body temperature range of 36.5–42.0℃ has been simply demonstrated.
