1Recent progress on the recycling technology of Li-ion batteries显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have been widely applied in portable electronic devices and electric vehicles.With the booming of the respective markets,a huge quantity of spent LIBs that typically use either LiFePO_(4) or Li N_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2) cathode materials will be produced in the very near future,imposing significant pressure for the development of suitable disposal/recycling technologies,in terms of both environmental protection and resource reclaiming.In this review,we firstly do a comprehensive summary of the-state-of-art technologies to recycle Li N_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2) and LiFePO_(4)-based LIBs,in the aspects of pretreatment,hydrometallurgical recycling,and direct regeneration of the cathode materials.This closed-loop strategy for cycling cathode materials has been regarded as an ideal approach considering its economic benefit and environmental friendliness.Afterward,as for the exhausted anode materials,we focus on the utilization of exhausted anode materials to obtain other functional materials,such as graphene.Finally,the existing challenges in recycling the LiFePO_(4) and Li N_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2) cathodes and graphite anodes for industrial-scale application are discussed in detail;and the possible strategies for these issues are proposed.We expect this review can provide a roadmap towards better technologies for recycling LIBs,shed light on the future development of novel battery recycling technologies to promote the environmental benignity and economic viability of the battery industry and pave way for the large-scale application of LIBs in industrial fields in the near future.Yuqing Wang Ning An Lei Wen Lei Wang Xiaotong Jiang Feng Hou Yuxin Yin Ji Liang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:10
2Deformation mechanism and microstructures on polycrystalline aluminum induced by high-current pulsed electron beam显示文摘In this paper, we present an experimental investigation of deformation twinning in polycrystalline aluminum exposed to high-current pulsed electron beam (HCPEB) irradiation. The residual tensile stress with about 10 2 MPa was introduced in the irradiated surface layer. The feature characteristic irradiated with various numbers of pulses was investigated. The formation of a large number of twin bands on the surface irradiated with multiple pulses was determined. The experimental observations indicated that the deformation twinning was indeed triggered during HCPEB irradiation. It is suggested that high value of stress and strain rate induced by rapid heating and cooling due to HCPEB irradiation may cause the shifting of whole atomic planes simultaneously. 3Embedded whispering-gallery mode microsphere resonator in a tapered hollow annular core fiber显示文摘We propose and demonstrate a tapered hollow annular core fiber (HACF) coupler for excitation of whisperinggallery modes (WGMs) of an embedded microsphere resonator. The coupler is simply fabricated by fusion splicing of a segment of HACF with the single-mode fiber (SMF), and then improved by tapering the splicing joint to reduce the cone-apex angle. Therefore, the coupling efficiency from the SMF to the HACF is enhanced to excite various WGMs via evanescent field coupling. Normal positive, negative symmetrical Lorentzian and asymmetric Fano line shapes can be obtained by varying the resonator size and location. Another interesting phenomenon is observed that a higher Q-factor mode in a lower Q-factor mode has a contrast as high as 58. Temperature sensing with good stability is also demonstrated. 4Liposome-based anchoring and core-encapsulation for combinatorial cancer therapy显示文摘Downregulated pro-apoptotic protein in cancer cells compromises the chemotherapy by a cytotoxic drug.Here,we report co-delivery of a pro-apoptotic protein,caspase 3(Cas 3),and cytotoxic agent,oridonin(ORD),for synergistic cancer treatment,using a method of liposome-based anchoring and core encapsulation.First,ORD is modified with hyaluronic acid(HA)to improve its solubility.Then,the targeted co-delivery system is prepared by assembling the conjugate HA-ORD onto the Cas 3-loaded liposomes,which the surface HA can target the CD44 receptor on cancer cells.In vitro,the co-loaded liposomes(120 nm)are specifically taken up by 4T1 cells and endow a 1.5-fold increase of Cas 3.After intravenous injection into the tumor-bearing mice,the liposomes accumulate in the tumor with high efficacy and significantly inhibit tumor growth via promoting apoptosis and anti-proliferation of cancer cells.Mechanistically,the co-delivery works synergistically by upregulating the activated Cas form,cleaved-Cas 3.Qingqing Xiao Xiaotong Li Chang Liu Yi Yang Yuqi Hou Ying Wang Mengxiang Su Wei He 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,9:2

6Visible-blind short-wavelength infrared photodetector with high responsivity based on hyperdoped silicon显示文摘Developing a low-cost, room-temperature operated and complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)compatible visible-blind short-wavelength infrared(SWIR) silicon photodetector is of interest for security,telecommunications, and environmental sensing. Here, we present a silver-supersaturated silicon(Si:Ag)-based photodetector that exhibits a visible-blind and highly enhanced sub-bandgap photoresponse. The visible-blind response is caused by the strong surface-recombination-induced quenching of charge collection for short-wavelength excitation, and the enhanced sub-bandgap response is attributed to the deep-level electrontraps-induced band-bending and two-stage carrier excitation. The responsivity of the Si:Ag photodetector reaches 504 mA · W^(-1) at 1310 nm and 65 m A · W^(-1) at 1550 nm under-3 V bias, which stands on the stage as the highest level in the hyperdoped silicon devices previously reported. 8BGB-A445,a novel non-ligand-blocking agonistic anti-OX40 antibody,exhibits superior immune activation and antitumor effects in preclinical models显示文摘t OX40 is a costimulatory receptor that is expressed primarily on activated CD4+,CD8+,and regulatory T cells.The ligation of OX40 to its sole ligand OX40L potentiates T cell expansion,differentiation,and activation and also promotes dendritic cells to mature to enhance their cytokine production.Therefore,the use of agonistic anti-Ox40 antibodies for cancer immunotherapy has gained great interest.However,most of the agonistic anti-OX40 antibodies in the clinic are OX40L-competitive and show limited efficacy.Here,we discovered that BGB-A445,a non-ligand-competitive agonistic anti-OX40 antibody currently under clinical investigation,induced optimal T cell activation without impairing dendritic cell function.In addition,BGB-A445 dose-dependently and significantly depleted regulatory T cells in vitro and in vivo via antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity.In the MC38 syngeneic model established in humanized OX40 knock-in mice,BGB-A445 demonstrated robust and dose-dependent antitumor efficacy,whereas the ligand-competitive anti-Ox40 antibody showed antitumor efficacy characterized by a hook effect.Furthermore,BGB-A445 demonstrated a strong combination antitumor effect with an anti-PD-1 antibody.Taken together,our findings show that BGB-A445,which does not block OX40-OX40L interaction in contrast to clinical-stage anti-OX40 antibodies,shows superior immune-stimulating effects and antitumor efficacy and thus warrants further clinical investigation.Beibei Jiang Tong Zhang Minjuan Deng Wei Jin Yuan Hong Xiaotong Chen Xin Chen Jing Wang Hongjia Hou Yajuan Gao Wenfeng Gong Xing Wang Haiying Li Xiaosui Zhou Yingcai Feng Bo Zhang Bin Jiang Xueping Lu Lijie Zhang Yang Li Weiwei Song Hanzi Sun Zuobai Wang Xiaomin Song Zhirong Shen Xuesong Liu Kang Li Lai Wangl Ye Liu 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,6:0

11Pharmacognostic Identification of Euphorbia maculata L.and Its Related Species显示文摘[Objectives]To make pharmacognostic identification of Euphorbia maculata L.and its related species.[Methods]The classical pharmacognostic identification method was adopted.[Results]The four main medicinal materials are very similar,the fluff can be seen in E.maculata and Euphorbia thymifolia L.,but not in Euphorbia prostrata Ait.and Euphorbia taihsiensis(Chaw et Koutnik)Oudejians;the tissue structure is basically the same;except for E.taihsiensis without non-glandular hairs,the powder has secretory cells,laticifers,cells,calcium oxalate crystals,fibers,vessels,and seed coat fragments.Through ultrasonic extraction with 80%ethanol,extraction with isobutanol,extending with chloroform∶ethyl acetate∶formic acid(5∶3∶0.3),developing color with 3%aluminum trichloride ethanol solution,under ultraviolet light(365 nm),the fluorescent spots of the same color appeared on the corresponding position of the chromatogram of the reference substance(quercetin,kaempferol).[Conclusions]It is not easy to distinguish the four medicinal materials by character identification and microscopic identification,while the thin-layer chromatography(TLC)is more reliable.Jing HOU Li LI Xiaotong JING Yuan LIANG Shaoqi LUO Yi CAI 2021Medicinal Plant2021,12,1:0
