2Periodontitis may induce gut microbiota dysbiosis via salivary microbiota显示文摘The aim of this study was to identify whether periodontitis induces gut microbiota dysbiosis via invasion by salivary microbes.First,faecal and salivary samples were collected from periodontally healthy participants(PH group,n=16)and patients with severe periodontitis(SP group,n=21)and analysed by 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing.Significant differences were observed in both the faecal and salivary microbiota between the PH and SP groups.Notably,more saliva-sourced microbes were observed in the faecal samples of the SP group.Then,the remaining salivary microbes were transplanted into C57BL6/J mice(the C-PH group and the C-SP group),and it was found that the composition of the gut microbiota of the C-SP group was significantly different from that of the C-PH group,with Porphyromonadaceae and Fusobacterium being significantly enriched in the C-SP group.In the colon,the C-SP group showed significantly reduced crypt depth and zonula occludens-1 expression.The m RNA expression levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines,chemokines and tight junction proteins were significantly higher in the C-SP group.To further investigate whether salivary bacteria could persist in the intestine,the salivary microbiota was stained with carboxyfluorescein diacetate succinimidyl ester and transplanted into mice.We found that salivary microbes from both the PH group and the SP group could persist in the gut for at least 24 h.Thus,our data demonstrate that periodontitis may induce gut microbiota dysbiosis through the influx of salivary microbes.Jun Bao Lili Li Yangheng Zhang Min Wang Faming Chen Shaohua Ge Bin Chen Fuhua Yan 2022International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,3:9
3High temperature and high pressure rheological properties of high-density water-based drilling fluids for deep wells显示文摘To maintain tight control over rheological properties of high-density water-based drilling fluids, it is essential to understand the factors influencing the rheology of water-based drilling fluids. This paper examines temperature effects on the rheological properties of two types of high-density water-based drilling fluids (fresh water-based and brine-based) under high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) with a Fann 50SL rheometer. On the basis of the water-based drilling fluid systems formulated in laboratory, this paper mainly describes the influences of different types and concentration of clay, the content of a colloid stabilizer named GHJ-1 and fluid density on the rheological parameters such as viscosity and shear stress. In addition, the effects of aging temperature and aging time of the drilling fluid on these parameters were also examined. Clay content and proportions for different densities of brine-based fluids were recommended to effectively regulate the rheological properties. Four rheological models, the Bingham, power law, Casson and H-B models, were employed to fit the rheological parameters. It turns out that the H-B model was the best one to describe the rheological properties of the high-density drilling fluid under HTHP conditions and power law model produced the worst fit. 4Formation of coherent, core-shelled nano-particles in dilute Al-Sc-Zr alloys from the first-principles显示文摘We present a systematic first-principles based study on the formation of coherent L12-phase nanoparticles in dilute Al-Sc-Zr alloys.Bulk structures and properties,solute substitution,interface formation energies,and interfacial coherent strains are all calculated.Nucleation modeling and relevant energetic calculations are performed on various possible structures of L12-phase nano-precipitates,i.e.individual L12-Al3Sc and L12-Al3Zr,homogeneous L12-Al3(ScxZr1-x)and the core-shelled L12-Al3Sc(Al3Zr)and L12-Al3Zr(Al3Sc).The following insights are obtained.Matrix-dissolved Sc or Zr strongly prefers to substitute the X sublattice sites in L12-Al3X(X=Zr or Sc),while the inter-substitution between L12-Al3Sc and Al3Zr is only weakly feasible.The cube-on-cube orientation with the(100)/(100)contacting facets is the most energy favored for the Al/Al3Sc(L12),Al/Al3Zr(L12)and Al3Sc(L12)/Al3Zr(L12)interfaces.All these interfaces are highly coherent,with fairly low formation energy.And particularly,the Al3Sc(L12)/Al3Zr(L12)interface has essentially zero formation energy.Ternary L12-Al3(ScxZr1-x)precipitates tend to form a Al3Sc-based core and Al3Zr-based shell structure,with a relatively sharp inner interface of Al3Sc(L12)/Al3Zr(L12).This core-shelled structure becomes energetically more favorable for the particle size R>1–2 nm.The potential influence of the Sc/Zr ratio and temperature on the relative stabilities of L12-phases in Al is also evaluated and discussed.Chaomin Zhang Yong Jiang Fuhua Cao Tao Hu Yiren Wang Dengfeng Yin 2019Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,5:8
5Removing local irregularities of triangular meshes with highlight line models显示文摘The highlight line model is a powerful tool in assessing the quality of a surface. It increases the ffexibility of an interactive design environment. In this paper, a method to generate a highlight line model on an arbitrary triangular mesh is presented. Based on the highlight line model, a technique to remove local shape irregularities of a triangular mesh is then presented. The shape modification is done by solving a minimization problem and performing an iterative procedure. The new technique improves not only the shape quality of the mesh surface, but also the shape of the highlight line model. 6Transcriptome-wide identification and expression profiling of Pinus massoniana MYB transcription factors responding to phosphorus deficiency显示文摘Myeloblastosis(MYB) proteins constitute one of the largest transcription factor(TF) families in plants and play crucial roles in regulating plant physiological and biochemical processes, including adaptation to diverse abiotic stresses. These TF families contain highly conserved MYB repeats(1 R, R2 R3, 3 R and 4 R) at the N-terminus. Roles for MYB TFs have been reported in response to such stresses as dehydration, salt, cold, and drought. The characterization of Masson pine(Pinus massoniana) MYB TFs are reported, including the analysis of MYB TFs expression in seedlings under controlled conditions and two different phosphate(Pi) deficient treatments. By searching for conserved MYB motifs in full transcriptomic RNA sequencing data for P. massoniana, 59 sequences were identified as MYB TFs. Conserved domainstructures and comparative functional and phylogenetic relationships of these MYB TFs with those in Arabidopsis were assessed using various bioinformatics tools. Based on microarray analysis, P. massoniana MYB genes exhibited different expression patterns under the two Pi deficiency conditions. Genes encoding MYB TFs that showed increased expression under critical Pi deficiency were identified, and some MYBs were differentially expressed only under conditions of severe Pi starvation. 7Partial aortic root remodeling for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection显示文摘In the present study,we reported our experience with partial aortic root remodeling for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection,which involves in non-coronary sinus and/or the right coronary sinus with just one trimmed Dacron graft.Between February 2001 and May 2010,we performed partial aortic root remodeling in 40 patients,who underwent emergency surgical intervention.The dissected sinuses were excised leaving a3-5 mm rim of the aortic wall from the attached aortic valve cusps.A short piece(4-5 cm) of collagen coated woven polyester vascular prosthesis was trimmed with one or two 'tongues' to reconstruct the non-coronary sinus and/or the right coronary sinus,but without using separated patches.Additional procedures were including hemi-arch replacement in 11 patients,and total arch replacement plus stent-elephant trunk in 20 patients.The mean follow-up time was 36.4±3.6 months.In-hospital mortality was only 5.0%(2/40);furthermore,3(8.6%) patients underwent re-operation of the aortic valve and 2(5.7%) patients died during follow-up.At the end of follow-up,trivial or no aortic regurgitation was found in 33 patients,but mild aortic regurgitation was found in 2 patients.Our data suggest that the early and mid-term results of partial aortic root remodeling were favorable,and it restored valve durability and function.Thus,the use of technique for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection should be vigorously encouraged.Fuhua Huang Liangpeng Li Wei Qin Cunhua Su Liming Wang Liqiong Xiao Xin Chen 2016The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,5:3
8Development of FGF-2-loaded electrospun waterborne polyurethane fibrous membranes for bone regeneration显示文摘Guided bone regeneration(G BR)membrane has been used to improve functional outcomes for periodontal regener ation.However,few studies have focused on the biomimetic membrane mim-icking the vascularization of the periodontal membrane.This study aimed to fabricate waterborne polyurethane(WPU)fibrous membranes loaJed fibroblast growth factor-2(FGF-2)via emulsion electrospinning,which can promote regeneration of periodontal tissue via the vascularization of the biomimetic GBR membrane.A biodegradable WPU was synthesized by using lysine and dime-thylpropionic acid as chain extenders according to the rule of green chemical synthesis technology.The WPU fibers with FGF-2 was fabricated via emulsion electrospinning.The results confirmed that controlled properties of the fibrous membrane had been achieved with controlled degradation,suitable mech anical properties and sustained release of the factor.The immunohistochemical expression of angiogenic-related factors was positive,meaning that FGF-2 loaded in fibers can sig-nificantly promote cell vasculariz ation.The fiber scaffold loaded FGF-2 has the potential to be used as a functional GBR membrane to promote the formation of extraosseous blood vessels during periodontal repairing.Chi Zhang Jianxiong Wang Yujie Xie Li Wang Lishi Yang Jihua Yu Akira Miyamoto Fuhua Sun 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,1:3
9Reconstruction of linkage maps in the distorted segregation populations of backcross, doubled haploid and recombinant inbred lines显示文摘Non-Mendelian segregation of markers, known as distorted segregation, is a common biological phenomenon. Although segregation distortion affects the estimation of map distances and the results of quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping, the effects of distorted markers are often ignored in the construction of linkage maps and in QTL mapping. Recently, we have developed a multipoint method via a Hidden Markov chain method to reconstruct linkage maps in an F2 population that corrects for bias of map distances between distorted markers. In this article, the method is extended to cover backcross, doubled haploid and recombinant inbred line (RIL) populations. The results from simulated experiments show that: (1) the degree that two linked segregation distortion loci (SDL) affect the estimation of map distances increases as SDL heritability and interval length between adjacent markers increase, whereas sample size has little effect on the bias; (2) two linked SDL result in the underesti- mation of linkage distances for most cases, overestimation for an additive model with opposite additive effects, and unbiased estimation for an epistatic model with negative additive-by-additive effects; (3) the proposed method can obtain the unbiased estimation of linkage distance. This new method was applied to a rice RIL population with severely distorted segregation to reconstruct the linkage maps, and a bootstrap method was used to obtain 95% confidence intervals of map distances. 10Single-shot AAV-vectored vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 with fast and long-lasting immunity显示文摘Due to the insufficient long-term protection and significant efficacy reduction to new variants of current COVID-19 vaccines,the epidemic prevention and control are still challenging.Here,we employ a capsid and antigen structure engineering(CASE)strategy to manufacture an adenoassociated viral serotype 6-based vaccine(S663V-RBD),which expresses trimeric receptor binding domain(RBD)of spike protein fused with a biological adjuvant RS09.Impressively,the engineered S663V-RBD could rapidly induce a satisfactory RBD-specific IgG titer within 2 weeks and maintain the titer for more than 4 months.Compared to the licensed BBIBP-CorV(Sinopharm,China),a single-dose S663V-RBD induced more endurable and robust immune responses in mice and elicited superior neutralizing antibodies against three typical SARS-CoV-2 pseudoviruses including wild type,C.37(Lambda)and B.1.617.2(Delta).More interestingly,the intramuscular injection of S663V-RBD could overcome pre-existing immunity against the capsid.Given its effectiveness,the CASE-based S663VRBD may provide a new solution for the current and next pandemic.Fuhua Wu Shuang Luo Yongshun Zhang Yangsen Ou Hairui Wang Zhaofei Guo Chunting He Shuting Bai Penghui He Min Jiang Xiaoyan Chen Guangsheng Du Xun Sun 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,5:2
11The complexity of the Fragaria x ananassa(octoploid)transcriptome by singlemolecule long-read sequencing显示文摘Strawberry(Fragaria x ananassa)is an allopolyploid species with diverse and complex transcripts.The regulatory mechanisms of fruit development and maturation have been extensively studied;however,little is known about the signaling mechanisms that direct this process in octoploid strawberry(Fragaria x ananassa).Here,we used long-read sequencing(LRS)technology and RNA-seq analysis to investigate the diversity and complexity of the polyploid transcriptome and differentially expressed transcripts along four successive fruit developmental stages of cultivated strawberry.We obtained a reference transcriptome with 119,897 unique full-length isoforms,including 2017 new isoforms and 2510 long noncoding RNAs.Based on the genome of the plausible progenitor(Fragaria vesca),20,229 alternative splicing(AS)events were identified.Using this transcriptome,we found 17,485 differentially expressed transcripts during strawberry fruit development,including 527 transcription factors(TFs)belonging to 41 families.The expression profiles of all members of the auxin,ABA pathway,and anthocyanin biosynthesis gene families were also examined,and many of them were highly expressed at the ripe fruit stage,strongly indicating that the role of those genes is in the regulation of fruit ripening.We produce a high-quality reference transcriptome for octoploid strawberry,including much of the full-length transcript diversity,to help understand the regulatory mechanisms of fruit development and maturation of polyploid species,particularly via elucidation of the biochemical pathways involved in auxin,ABA,and anthocyanin biosynthesis.Huazhao Yuan Hongmei Yu Tao Huang Xinjie Shen Jin Xia Fuhua Pang Jing Wang Mizhen Zhao 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:2
12Highly transmitted silver nanowires-SWCNTs conductive flexible film by nested density structure and aluminum-doped zinc oxide capping layer for flexible amorphous silicon solar cells显示文摘Indium tin oxide(ITO)is widely used in transparent conductive films(TCFs);however,several disadvan-tages,such as high cost and toxicity of indium,limit its applications.Therefore,it is necessary to develop other materials that can replace ITO.Silver nanowires or single walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)have attracted considerable interest owing to their unique electrical,optical,and thermal stabilities,and thus,they are ideal for transparent electrodes for flexible or stretchable devices.In this study,we develop a novel architecture of composite TCFs on a polyethylene naphthalate(PEN)flexible substrate.Herein,the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films with nested density structure were fabricated through ultrasonic spraying technology by varying the spraying width.For achieving enhanced transmittance,we combined the larger irregular grids and holes with fewer nanowires stacked in the longitudinal direction,more optical chan-nels,and good carrier transport.Thereafter,aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO)was used as capping to the structure for enhancing the optical properties of the TCFs.The silver nanowires-SWCNTs/AZO(ASA)bilayer was obtained in the optimized architecture,which showed superior optoelectronic performance to that shown by commercial ITO with a high optical transmittance of 92%at the wavelength of 550 nm and low sheet resistance of 17/sq.In the specially structured conductive film,the significant improvement in the transmittance and uniformity of the sheet resistance was attributed to the effective nanowire junc-tion contact compared to that in ordinary structure of silver nanowires,which reduced the mean density of small clusters of nanowires.Compared with the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films,the ASA bilayer film exhibited excellent resistance to boiling,mechanical bending(10,000 cycles),and CO_(2)plasma.Moreover,the sheet resistance of ASA changed slightly after the tape tests,thereby illustrating a strong adhesion to the PEN substrate after the enclosure of AZO.Meanwhile,the AZO capping layer can enhance the op-tical transmittance between 600 and 1500 nm.In addition,the amorphous silicon photovoltaic devices with flexible ASA TCFs exhibited a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 8.67%.After bending for 3000 times,the PCE was decreased to 8.20%,thereby demonstrating the potential of developed films to replace traditional ITO.Shunliang Gao Xiaohui Zhao Qi Fu Tianchi Zhang Jun Zhu Fuhua Hou Jian Ni Chengjun Zhu Tiantian Li Yanlai Wang Vignesh Murugadoss Gaber A.M.Mersal Mohamed M.Ibrahim Zeinhom M.El-Bahy Mina Huang Zhanhu Guo 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,31:2
13An integrated model for predicting the flame propagation in crimped ribbon flame arresters显示文摘Crimped ribbon flame arresters are important safety devices in the chemical industry, especially for the dangerous situations. Although proper design of arresters by the numerical simulation method is promising, its reliability and accuracy are dependent upon the mathematical model. In this work, an integrated mathematical model for the microchannel in the crimped ribbon flame arresters was set up; the fluid flow behavior and the sensitivities of four chemical kinetics mechanisms of propane-air on the accuracy were analysed. It is shown that turbulence is predominant in the microchannel of the crimped ribbon flame arresters under the deflagration and detonation conditions, and a new quenching criterion for the numerical simulation is proposed. The kinetics mechanism of Mansouri et al. among the four ones is the most accurate due to the best agreement of the predicted outlet temperature at the experimental flameproof velocity with the autoignition temperature of propane-air. The species mass fraction profiles and the temperature distribution, which are too difficult to measure due to the tiny dimension of the microchannel in experiments, are captured. The fundamental insights into chemical reactions and heat loss are well portrayed. 17Printed Surface Defect Detection Model Based on Positive Samples显示文摘For a long time, the detection and extraction of printed surfacedefects has been a hot issue in the print industry. Nowadays, defect detectionof a large number of products still relies on traditional image processingalgorithms such as scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) and orientedfast and rotated brief (ORB), and researchers need to design algorithms forspecific products. At present, a large number of defect detection algorithmsbased on object detection have been applied but need lots of labeling sampleswith defects. Besides, there are many kinds of defects in printed surface,so it is difficult to enumerate all defects. Most defect detection based onunsupervised learning of positive samples use generative adversarial networks(GAN) and variational auto-encoders (VAE) algorithms, but these methodsare not effective for complex printed surface. Aiming at these problems, Inthis paper, an unsupervised defect detection and extraction algorithm forprinted surface based on positive samples in the complex printed surface isproposed innovatively. We propose a kind of defect detection and extractionnetwork based on image matching network. This network is divided into thefull convolution network of feature points extraction, and the graph attentionnetwork using self attention and cross attention. Though the key pointsextraction network, we can get robustness key points in the complex printedimages, and the graph network can solve the problem of the deviation becauseof different camera positions and the influence of defect in the differentproduction lines. Just one positive sample image is needed as the benchmarkto detect the defects. The algorithm in this paper has been proved in “TheFirst ZhengTu Cup on Campus Machine Vision AI Competition” and gotexcellent results in the finals. 19L-cysteine-modified chiral gold nanoparticles promote periodontal tissue regeneration显示文摘Gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)with surface-anchored molecules present tremendous potential in tissue regeneration.However,little is known about chiral-modified AuNPs.In this study,we successfully prepared L/D-cysteine-anchored AuNPs(L/D-Cys-AuNPs)and studied the effects of chiral-modified AuNPs on osteogenic differentiation and autophagy of human periodontal ligament cells(hPDLCs)and periodontal tissue regeneration.In vitro,more L-Cys-AuNPs than D-Cys-AuNPs tend to internalize in hPDLCs.L-Cys-AuNPs also significantly increased the expression of alkaline phosphatase,collagen type 1,osteocalcin,runt-related transcription factor 2,and microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 II and decreased the expression of sequestosome 1 in hPDLCs compared to the expression levels in the hPDLCs treated by D-Cys-AuNPs.In vivo tests in a rat periodontal-defect model showed that L-Cys-AuNPs had the greatest effect on periodontal-tissue regeneration.The activation of autophagy in L-Cys-AuNP-treated hPDLCs may be responsible for the cell differentiation and tissue regeneration.Therefore,compared to D-Cys-AuNPs,L-Cys-AuNPs show a better performance in cellular internalization,regulation of autophagy,cell osteogenic differentiation,and periodontal tissue regeneration.This demonstrates the immense potential of L-Cys-AuNPs for periodontal regeneration and provides a new insight into chirally modified bioactive nanomaterials.Shuang Zhang Hong Zhou Na Kong Zezheng Wang Huangmei Fu Yangheng Zhang Yin Xiao Wenrong Yang Fuhua Yan 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:1
