| 2 | Gender differences in clinical outcomes of acute myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: insights from the KAMIR-NIH Registry显示文摘Background There are numerous but conflicting data regarding gender differences in outcomes following percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). Furthermore, gender differences in clinical outcomes with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) following PCI in Asian population remain uncertain because of the under-representation of Asian in previous trials. Methods A total of 13,104 AMI patients from Korea Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry-National Institute of Health(KAMIR-NIH) between November 2011 and December 2015 were classified into male(n = 8021, 75.9%) and female(n = 2547, 24.1%). We compared the demographic, clinical and angiographic characteristics, 30-days and 1-year major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events(MACCE) in women with those in men after AMI by using propensity score(PS) matching. Results Compared with men, women were older, had more comorbidities and more often presented with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI) and reduced left ventricular systolic function. Over the median follow-up of 363 days, gender differences in both 30-days and 1-year MACCE as well as thrombolysis in myocardial infarction minor bleeding risk were not observed in the PS matched population(30-days MACCE: 5.3% vs. 4.7%, log-rank P = 0.494, HR = 1.126, 95% CI: 0.800-1.585;1-year MACCE: 9.3% vs. 9.0%, log-rank P = 0.803, HR = 1.032, 95% CI: 0.802-1.328;TIMI minor bleeding: 4.9% vs. 3.9%, log-rank P = 0.215, HR = 1.255, 95% CI: 0.869-1.814). Conclusions Among Korean AMI population undergoing contemporary PCI, women, as compared with men, had different clinical and angiographic characteristics but showed similar 30-days and 1-year clinical outcomes. | 3 | Moxifloxacin-containing triple therapy after non-bismuth quadruple therapy failure for Helicobacter pylori infection显示文摘AIM: To assess the efficacy of moxifloxacin-containing triple therapy after non-bismuth quadruple therapy failure for Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) eradication.METHODS: Between January 2010 and December 2012,we screened individuals who were prescribed non-bismuth quadruple therapy for H. pylori eradication. Among them,a total of 98 patients who failed non-bismuth quadruple therapy received 1-wk or 2-wk moxifloxacin-containing triple therapy(400 mg moxifloxacin once daily,and 20 mg of rabeprazole and 1 g of amoxicillin twice daily). H. pylori status was evaluated using the 13C-urea breath test 4 wk later,after treatment completion. The eradication rates were determined by intention-to-treat and per-protocol analyses.RESULTS: In total,60 and 38 patients received 1-wk and 2-wk moxifloxacin-containing triple therapy,respectively. The intention-to-treat and per-protocol eradication rates were 56.7%(95%CI: 45.0-70.0) and 59.6%(95%CI: 46.6-71.7) in the 1-wk group and 76.3%(95%CI: 63.2-89.5) and 80.6%(95%CI: 66.7-91.9) in the 2-wk group(P = 0.048 and 0.036,respectively). All groups had good compliance(95% vs 94.9%). Neither group showed serious adverse events,and the proportions of patients experiencing mild side effects were not significantly different(21.1% vs 13.9%). Clinical factors such as age,sex,alcohol and smoking habits,comorbidities,and presence of gastric or duodenal ulcer did not influence the eradication therapy efficacy. | 12 | Direct Synthesis of Molybdenum Phosphide Nanorods on Silicon Using Graphene at the Heterointerface for Efficient Photoelectrochemical Water Reduction显示文摘Transition metal phosphides(TMPs)and transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)have been widely investigated as photoelectrochemical(PEC)catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Using high-temperature processes to get crystallized compounds with large-area uniformity,it is still challenging to directly synthesize these catalysts on silicon photocathodes due to chemical incompatibility at the heterointerface.Here,a graphene interlayer is applied between p-Si and MoP nanorods to enable fully engineered interfaces without forming a metallic secondary compound that absorbs a parasitic light and provides an inefficient electron path for hydrogen evolution.Furthermore,the graphene facilitates the photogenerated electrons to rapidly transfer by creating Mo-O-C covalent bondings and energetically favorable band bending.With a bridging role of graphene,numerous active sites and anti-reflectance of MoP nanorods lead to significantly improved PEC-HER performance with a high photocurrent density of 21.8 mA cm−2 at 0 V versus RHE and high stability.Besides,low dependence on pH and temperature is observed with MoP nanorods incorporated photocathodes,which is desirable for practical use as a part of PEC cells.These results indicate that the direct synthesis of TMPs and TMDs enabled by graphene interlayer is a new promising way to fabricate Si-based photocathodes with high-quality interfaces and superior HER performance. | Sang Eon Jun Seokhoon Choi Shinyoung Choi Tae Hyung Lee Changyeon Kim Jin Wook Yang Woon‑Oh Choe In‑Hyuk Im Cheol‑Joo Kim Ho Won Jang | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021，13，5： | 1 |
