| 1 | Microwave Synthesis of Large Few-Layer Graphene Sheets in Aqueous Solution of Ammonia显示文摘Few-layer graphene (FLG) sheets with sizes exceeding several micrometers have been synthesized by exfoliation of expanded graphite in aqueous solution of ammonia under microwave irradiation, with an overall yield approaching 8 wt.%. Transmission electron microscopy (in bright-field and dark-field modes) together with electron diffraction patterns and atomic force microscopy confirmed that this graphene material consisted mostly of mono-, bi- or few-layer graphene (less than ten layers). The high degree of surface reduction was confirmed by X-ray photoelectron and infrared spectroscopies. | 2 | Rheumatoid arthritis susceptibility genes: An overview显示文摘Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disease sustained by genetic factors. Various aspects of the genetic contribution to the pathogenetics and outcome of RA are still unknown. Several genes have been indicated so far in the pathogenesis of RA. Apart from human leukocyte antigen, large genome wide association studies have identified many loci involved in RA pathogenesis. These genes include protein tyrosine phosphatase, nonreceptor type 22, Peptidyl Arginine Deiminase type Ⅳ, signal transducer and activator of transcription 4, cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4, tumor necrosis factor-receptor associated factor 1/complement component 5, tumor necrosis factor and others. | 5 | Venous and arterial thromboembolism in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases显示文摘The risk of thromboembolism(TE)is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),mainly due to an increased risk of venous TE(VTE).The risk of arterial TE(ATE)is less pronounced,but an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases needs to be addressed in IBD patients.IBD predisposes to arterial and venous thrombosis through similar prothrombotic mechanisms,including triggering activation of coagulation,in part mediated by impairment of the intestinal barrier and released bacterial components.VTE in IBD has clinical specificities,i.e.,an earlier first episode in life,high rates during both active and remission stages,higher recurrence rates,and poor prognosis.The increased likelihood of VTE in IBD patients may be related to surgery,the use of medications such as corticosteroids or tofacitinib,whereas infliximab is antithrombotic.Long-term complications of VTE can include post-thrombotic syndrome and high recurrence rate during post-hospital discharge.A global clot lysis assay may be useful in identifying patients with IBD who are at risk for TE.Many VTEs occur in IBD outpatients;therefore,outpatient prophylaxis in high-risk patients is recommended.It is crucial to continue focusing on prevention and adequate treatment of VTE in patients with IBD. | Antoni Stadnicki Izabela Stadnicka | 2021 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2021，27，40： | 3 |

| 7 | Probiotics and postbiotics in colorectal cancer:Prevention and complementary therapy显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a leading cause of human mortality worldwide.As conventional anticancer therapy not always being effective,there is growing interest in innovative“drug-free”cancer treatments or interventions that improve the efficacy of established therapy.CRC is associated with microbiome alterations,a process known as dysbiosis that involves depletion and/or enrichment of particular gut bacterial species and their metabolic functions.Supplementing patient treatment with traditional probiotics(with or without prebiotics),nextgeneration probiotics(NGP),or postbiotics represents a potentially effective and accessible complementary anticancer strategy by restoring gut microbiota composition and/or by signaling to the host.In this capacity,restoration of the gut microbiota in cancer patients can stabilize and enhance intestinal barrier function,as well as promote anticarcinogenic,anti-inflammatory,antimutagenic or other biologically important biochemical pathways that show high specificity towards tumor cells.Potential benefits of traditional probiotics,NGP,and postbiotics include modulating gut microbiota composition and function,as well as the host inflammatory response.Their application in CRC prevention is highlighted in this review,where we consider supportive in vitro,animal,and clinical studies.Based on emerging research,NGP and postbiotics hold promise in establishing innovative treatments for CRC by conferring physiological functions via the production of dominant natural products and metabolites that provide new host-microbiota signals to combat CRC.Although favorable results have been reported,further investigations focusing on strain and dose specificity are required to ensure the efficacy and safety of traditional probiotics,NGP,and postbiotics in CRC prevention and treatment. | Monika Kvakova Anna Kamlarova Jana Stofilova Veronika Benetinova Izabela Bertkova | 2022 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2022，28，27： | 3 |
