| 1 | Evaluation of the yield and nitrogen use efficiency of the dominant maize hybrids grown in North and Northeast China显示文摘Breeding high-yielding and nutrient-efficient cultivars is one strategy to simultaneously resolve the problems of food security,resource shortage,and environmental pollution.However,the potential increased yield and reduction in fertilizer input achievable by using high-yielding and nutrient-efficient cultivars is unclear.In the present study,we evaluated the yield and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE) of 40 commercial maize hybrids at five locations in North and Northeast China in 2008 and 2009.The effect of interaction between genotype and nitrogen(N) input on maize yield was significant when the yield reduction under low-N treatment was 25%-60%.Based on the average yields achieved with high or low N application,the tested cultivars were classified into four types based on their NUE:efficient-efficient(EE) were efficient under both low and high N inputs,high-N efficient(HNE) under only high N input,low-N efficient(LNE) under only low N input,and nonefficient-nonefficient under neither low nor high N inputs.Under high N application,EE and HNE cultivars could potentially increase maize yield by 8%-10% and reduce N input by 16%-21%.Under low N application,LNE cultivars could potentially increase maize yield by 12%.We concluded that breeding for N-efficient cultivars is a feasible strategy to increase maize yield and/or reduce N input. | CHEN FanJun FANG ZenGuo GAO Qiang YE YouLiang JIA LiangLiang YUAN LiXing MI GuoHua ZHANG FuSuo | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,6: | 27 |
| 2 | Kinetics and equilibrium of adsorption of dissolved organic matter fractions from secondary effluent by fly ash显示文摘Fly ash was used as a low-cost adsorbent for removing dissolved organic matter (DOM) in secondary effluent. Batch experiments were conducted under various adsorbent dosages, pH, contact time, temperatures and DOM fractional characteristics. Under the optimum conditions of fly ash dosage of 15 g/L, temperature of 303 K and contact time of 180 min, a removal of 22.5% of the dissolved organic carbon (DOC), 23.7% of UV-254, 25.9% of the trihalomethanes precursors in secondary effluent was obtained. The adsorption of DOM fractions onto fly ash all followed the pseudo second-order kinetic model, and the hydrophilic fraction adsorption by fly ash also fitted the intraparticle diffusion model quite well. Freundlich and Langmuir models were applicable to the fly ash adsorption and their constants were evaluated. The maximum adsorption capacities of the adsorptions revealed that fly ash was more effective in adsorbing hydrophilic fraction than the acidic fractions. Structure changes of the DOM fractions after fly ash adsorption were also characterized via spectrum analyzing. | 4 | Research on fault detection method for heat pump air conditioning system under cold weather显示文摘Building energy consumption accounts for nearly 40% of global energy consumption, HVAC(Heating, Ventilating,and Air Conditioning) systems are the major building energy consumers, and as one type of HVAC systems, the heat pump air conditioning system, which is more energy-efficient compared to the traditional air conditioning system, is being more widely used to save energy. However, in northern China, extreme climatic conditions increase the cooling and heating load of the heat pump air conditioning system and accelerate the aging of the equipment, and the sensor may detect drifted parameters owing to climate change. This non-linear drifted parameter increases the false alarm rate of the fault detection and the need for unnecessary troubleshooting.In order to overcome the impact of the device aging and the drifted parameter, a Kalman filter and SPC(statistical process control) fault detection method are introduced in this paper. In this method, the model parameter and its standard variance can be estimated by Kalman filter based on the gray model and the real-time data of the air conditioning system. Further, by using SPC to construct the dynamic control limits, false alarm rate is reduced.And this paper mainly focuses on the cold machine failure in the component failure and its soft fault detection.This approach has been tested on a simulation model of the 'Sino-German Energy Conservation Demonstration Center' building heat pump air-conditioning system in Shenyang, China, and the results show that the Kalman filter and SPC fault detection method is simple and highly efficient with a low false alarm rate, and it can deal with the difficulties caused by the extreme environment and the non-linear influence of the parameters, and what's more, it provides a good foundation for dynamic fault diagnosis and fault prediction analysis. | Liangliang Sun Jianghua Wu Haiqi Jia Xuebin Liu | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,12: | 5 |
| 5 | Theoretical screening of the transition metal heteronuclear dimer anchored graphdiyne for electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction显示文摘Developing efficient electrocatalysts for nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)is crucial to replace the both energy-intensive and environment-malignant Haber-Bosch process.Here using density functional theory calculations,we systematically studied the potential of the heteronuclear 3 d transition metal dimers anchored graphdiyne monolayers(FeM@and NiM@GDY,M=Ti,V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,and Cu)as efficient NRR catalysts.Among all the studied double-atom catalysts(DACs),FeCo@and NiCo@GDY are the most promising with excellent NRR catalytic activity,high ability to suppress the competing hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),and good stability.For both FeCo@and NiCo@GDY,NRR prefers to the distal pathway with the calculated onset potentials of -0.44 and -0.36 V,respectively,which are comparable and even better than their homonuclear counterparts.Moreover,FeCo@and NiCo@GDY have higher ability to suppress HER than Fe_(2)@ and Co_(2)@GDY,which may result from the modulated d state electronic structure due to the synergy effect of the heteronuclear atoms in the DACs.Our work not only suggests that FeCo@and NiCo@GDY hold great promises as efficient,low-cost,and stable DACs for NRR,but also further provides a strategy,i.e.alloying the atomic metal catalysts,to improve the NRR catalytic activity and/or selectivity. | Dongwei Ma Zaiping Zeng Liangliang Liu Yu Jia | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3: | 3 |

| 7 | Rabies Virus Pseudotyped with CVS-N2C Glycoprotein as a Powerful Tool for Retrograde Neuronal Network Tracing显示文摘Efficient viral vectors for mapping and manipulating long-projection neuronal circuits are crucial in structural and functional studies of the brain. The SAD strain rabies virus with the glycoprotein gene deleted pseudotyped with the N2 C glycoprotein(SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G)) shows strong neuro-tropism in cell culture, but its in vivo efficiency for retrograde gene transduction and neuro-tropism have not been systematically characterized.We compared these features in different mouse brain regions for SAD-RV-N2 C(G) and two other widely-used retrograde tracers, SAD-RV(DG)-B19(G) and r AAV2-retro. We found that SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G) enhanced the infection efficiency of long-projecting neurons by^10 times but with very similar neuro-tropism, compared with SAD-RV(DG)-B19(G). On the other hand, SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G) had an infection efficiency comparable with r AAV2-retro, but a more restricted diffusion range, and broader tropism to different types and regions of longprojecting neuronal populations. | 14 | Geology,Mineralogy,and Isotopic Characteristics of the Zhonghe Ag-Pb-Zn Deposit,Western Henan Province,Central China显示文摘Located in Luoning County,western Henan Province,Central China,the Zhonghe Ag-Pb-Zn ore field,is a newly discovered deposit in the Xiaoshan District.Ore bodies controlled by NNW Faults occur as veins within the Paleoproterozoic Xiong’er Group or the Early Cretaceous porphyritic granite.Given that the Zhonghe deposit has been covered by thick Quaternary sediments,the paragenetic mineral assemblage was determined mainly by microscopic observations,including the quartzsiderite-pyrite alteration (StageⅠ),polymetallic sulfide precipitation (StageⅡ),silver mineralization(Stage Ⅲ),and quartz-carbonate stage (StageⅣ).The host minerals for silver are diverse,such as freibergite,pyrargyrite,polybasite,argyrodite,canfieldite,argentite,and native silver,whereas those for Pb and Zn are galena and sphalerite,respectively.In order to constrain the ore-forming components of the Zhonghe deposit,a combined in-situ analysis was conducted on represented sulfides from StageⅡand Stage Ⅲ.In-situ δ^(34)S values of the analyzed sulfides,including the pyrite,chalcopyrite,sphalerite,and galena,display a relatively narrow range (0.90‰-5.0‰),which is close to magmatic sulfur source.The ^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb and^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb ratios show a narrow range (17.140-17.360 and 15.385-15.490),whereas the ^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb ratios exhibit a broad variation (36.601-37.943),indicating a contamination of the Xiong’er Group.Synthesis of geochronological and geochemical data from the Xiaoshan District,we contend that the ore-forming materials of the Zhonghe Ag-Pb-Zn deposit are originated from the lower crust,which has presumably been influenced by the large-scale lithospheric delamination of the eastern North China Craton during the Early Cretaceous.In consideration of the geological setting,mineralogy,and geochemical compositions,we suggest that the Zhonghe Ag-Pb-Zn deposit is characterized as intermediate sulfidation type epithermal deposit,and may be a potential exploration target for porphyry Mo-Cu deposits. | Jiannan Xu Changqian Ma Shuo Yin Yunzhen Chang Huimin Jia Zhongjie Wang Liangliang Shi | 2022 | Journal of Earth Science2022,33,1: | 1 |
