1Bacillus cereus AR156 primes induced systemic resistance by suppressing miR825/825 and activating defense-related genes in Arabidopsis显示文摘Small RNAs play an important role in plant immune responses. However, their regulatory function in induced systemic resistance(ISR) is nascent. Bacillus cereus AR156 is a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium that induces ISR in Arabidopsis against bacterial infection. Here,by comparing small RNA profiles of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato(Pst) DC3000-infected Arabidopsis with and without AR156 pretreatment, we identified a group of Arabidopsis micro RNAs(mi RNAs) that are differentially regulated by AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 and mi R825 are two mi RNA generated from a single mi RNA gene.Northern blot analysis indicated that they were significantly downregulated in Pst DC3000-infected plants pretreated with AR156, in contrast to the plants without AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 targets two ubiquitin-protein ligases,while mi R825 targets toll-interleukin-like receptor(TIR)-nucleotide binding site(NBS) and leucine-rich repeat(LRR)type resistance(R) genes. The expression of these target genes negatively correlated with the expression of mi R825 and mi R825. Moreover, transgenic plants showing reduced expression of mi R825 and mi R825 displayed enhanced resistance to Pst DC3000 infection, whereas transgenic plants overexpressing mi R825 and mi R825 were more susceptible. 2Effect of defect complex on magnetic properties of (Fe, Mn)-doped ZnO thin films显示文摘We have observed room temperature ferromagnetism in Mn-doped and (Fe, Mn)-codoped ZnO thin films grown under different oxygen partial pressures by pulsed laser deposition. The X-ray diffraction and optical transmission spectra studies demonstrate the natural incorporation of Fe and Mn cations into wurtzite ZnO lattices. The effects of transition metal doping and defects on the magnetic properties was investigated. It is found that room temperature ferromagnetism is sensitive to oxygen vacancy and Zn vacancy. 3Evaluation of Spectral Scale Effects in Estimation of Vegetation Leaf Area Index Using Spectral Indices Methods显示文摘Spectral index methodology has been widely used in Leaf Area Index(LAI) retrieval at different spatial scales. There are differences in the spectral response of different remote sensors and thus spectral scale effect generated during the use of spectral indices to retrieve LAI. In this study, PROSPECT, leaf optical properties model and Scattering by Arbitrarily Inclined Layers(SAIL) model, were used to simulate canopy spectral reflectance with a bandwidth of 5 nm and a Gaussian spectral response function was employed to simulate the spectral data at six bandwidths ranging from 10 to 35 nm. Additionally, for bandwidths from 5 to 35 nm, the correlation between the spectral index and LAI, and the sensitivities of the spectral index to changes in LAI and bandwidth were analyzed. Finally, the reflectance data at six bandwidths ranging from 40 to 65 nm were used to verify the spectral scale effect generated during the use of the spectral index to retrieve LAI. Results indicate that Vegetation Index of the Universal Pattern Decomposition(VIUPD) had the highest accuracy during LAI retrieval. Followed by Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI), Modified Simple Ratio Indices(MSRI) and Triangle Vegetation Index(TVI), although the coefficient of determination R^2 was higher than 0.96, the retrieved LAI values were less than the actual value and thus lacked validity. Other spectral indices were significantly affected by the spectral scale effect with poor retrieval results. In this study, VIUPD, which exhibited a relatively good correlation and sensitivity to LAI, was less affected by the spectral scale effect and had a relatively good retrieval capability. 4Nitrogen uptake and transfer in broad bean and garlic strip intercropping systems显示文摘Utilization and transfer of nitrogen(N)in a strip intercropping system of garlic(Allium sativum L.)and broad bean(Vicia faba L.)have been investigated rarely.The objectives of this study were to quantify N uptake and utilization by intercropped broad bean and garlic and determine the magnitude of N transfer from broad bean to garlic.Field and pot trials were carried out in the Erhai Lake Basin in China using ^(15)N tracer applied to the soil or injected into broad bean plants.Strip intercropping of garlic and broad bean increased N absorption(47.2%)compared with sole crop broad bean(31.9%)or sole crop garlic(40.7%)and reduced soil residual N.Nearly 15%of ^(15)N injected into petioles of broad bean intercropped with garlic was recovered in garlic at harvest,suggesting that N could be transferred from broad bean to strip intercropped garlic.The findings provide a basis for evaluating legumes’role in optimizing N fertilization when intercropped with non-legumes.TANG Qiu-xiang Haile Tewolde LIU Hong-bin REN Tian-zhi JIANG Ping-an ZHAI Li-mei LEI Bao-kun LIN Tao LIU En-ke 2018Journal of Integrative Agriculture2018,17,1:5

7Enhanced catalysis of ultrasmall Au-MoS_2 clusters against reactive oxygen species for radiation protection显示文摘Ionizing radiation produces excessive reactive oxygen species(ROS) which impose detrimental effects on biological systems. Thus, it is important to explore clinically safe and efficacious radioprotection agents to scavenge ROS and reduce the risks of radiotherapy. Recently, emerging catalytic nanomaterials such as sulfide nanomaterials have shown capability of clearing ROS in vivo by unique electron transfers between atoms, but their catalytic activities are yet suboptimal. As such, there is an unmet need to improve catalytic properties for stronger antioxidant activities and radiation protection. Herein, we prepared ultrasmall Au-MoS_2 clusters(~2.5 nm) and they showed enhanced catalytic properties via gold intercalation facilitating increased active sites and synergistic effects. Electrocatalysis results revealed that the catalytic activity of Au-MoS_2 towards H2O_2 was superior to ultrasmall MoS_2 without Au. As a result, we found that improving the electrocatalytic property of Au-MoS_2 can effectively enhance corresponding antioxidant activities and radioprotection effects in vivo. In addition, Au-MoS_2 also showed significant radioprotection in vitro and dramatically reduced the excess of radiation-induced adverse ROS. 8UMSCs Attenuate LPS/D-GalN-induced Acute Liver Failure in Mice by Down-regulating the MyD88/NF-κB Pathway显示文摘Background and Aims:Acute liver failure(ALF)is an inflammatory process of acute liver cell injury.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are undifferentiated,primitive cells with antiinflammatory,anti-apoptotic,and multi-directional differentiation abilities.This study aimed to explore the therapeutic mechanism of umbilical cord(U)MSCs in ALF.Methods:Dgalactosamine(D-GalN)combined with lipopolysaccharide(LPS)was used to establish an ALF model.After model establishment,UMSCs were injected via the tail vein.After UMSC transplantation,the number of mouse deaths was monitored every 12 h.A fully automatic biochemical analyzer was used to detect changes in biochemical analysis.Pathological changes was observed by stained with hematoxylin and eosin.The expression of My D88 was detected by immunohistochemical analysis,quantitative reverse transcription,and western blotting.The expression of NF-κB was detected by quantitative reverse transcription,western blotting.The expression of Bcl-2,Bax were detected by quantitative reverse transcription,western blotting.The expression of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:The 48-h survival rate of the UMSC-treated group was significantly higher than that of the LPS/D-GalNexposed group.After 24 h of LPS/D-GalN exposure,UMSCs reduced serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels and improved the liver structure.Western blot and real-time fluorescence quantitative nucleic acid amplification analyses showed that UMSCs decreased MyD88 expression,thereby inhibiting LPS/GalN-induced phosphorylation and degradation of inhibitor of nuclear factor(NF)-κB(IκB).Additionally,NF-κB p65 underwent nuclear translocation,inhibiting the production of the inflammatory factors interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αand played a protective role in ALF by down-regulating the pro-apoptotic gene Bax and up-regulating the anti-apoptotic gene Bcl-2.In summary,these findings indicate that UMSCs play a protective role in LPS/GalN-induced acute liver injury via inhibition of the MyD88 pathway and subsequent inhibition of NF-κB-mediated cytokine production.Conclusions:Through the above mechanisms,UMSCs can effectively reduce LPS/D-GalN-induced ALF,reduce mouse mortality,and restore damaged liver function and damaged liver tissue.Hailing Liao Siying Du Ting Jiang Mengyao Zheng Zhao Xiang Jinhui Yang 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,5:2

10Large Spacing Array with Offset Phase Center Elements for Highly Integrated Applications显示文摘A scanning and uniform array architecture with large spacing,low complexity and high scalability is presented for high integration massive array applications.It is constructed by offset phase center elements arranged in a uniform and regular way,but its spacing can be larger than that of traditional arrays.An ideal model of the offset phase center element is established and its far-field distribution is derived.To suppress grating lobes,the phase center of any element is designed to be movable without changing its physical position.Using genetic algorithm(GA),a new constraint condition limiting the number of phase center changes is proposed to solve the objective function of the minimum values of grating lobes(GLs)and side lobes(SLs).It is shown that the optimal results can be achieved by two changes of phase centers.A multimode circular patch is developed and designed,and characteristics of the offset phase center are analyzed and verified.A prototype array of 12×12 offset phase center elements is implemented based on multi-mode circular patches.Full wave simulation results of radiation patterns show that the level of grating lobes is suppressed at least 7dB with 1.12λ spacing,while the scanning angle is 20°.Hailing Jiang Hui Tian Shubo Dun Junyi Zhang 2022China Communications2022,19,5:1

12Electronic structures of Heusler alloy Co_2FeAl_(1-x)Si_x surface显示文摘We have calculated the electronic structures of Co2FeAl1-xSix(101) surface using first-principles method based on the density functional theory. Because of the surface effect, the minority spin band gap at the Fermi level disappears at the surface of bulk Co2FeAl1-xSix. However, beneath the surface, the minority spin gap opens at the Fermi level, which indicates that the electronic structures of Co2FeAl1-xSix(101) become close to that of bulk phase. Accordingly, the Co2FeAl1-xSix(101) surface is a composite tri-layer structure that corresponds to the weakening of half-metallic property in Co2FeAl1-xSix films. 13Electronic structures of new tunnel barrier spinel MgAl_2O_4:first-principles calculations显示文摘The electronic structures of spinel MgAl 2 O 4 and MgOtunnel barrier materials were investigated using first-principles density functional theory calculations. Our results show that similar electronic structures are found for the MgAl 2 O 4 and MgO tunneling barriers. The calculated direct energy gaps at the Γ-point are about 5.10 eV for MgAl 2 O 4 and 4.81 eV for MgO, respectively. Because of the similar feature in band structures from Γ high-symmetry point to F point ( band), the coherent tunneling effect might be expected to appear in MgAl 2 O 4-based MTJs like in MgO-based MTJs. 14High brightness NIR-Ⅱ nanofluorophores based on fused-ring acceptor molecules显示文摘It is challenging to develop molecular fluorophores in the second near-infrared(NIR-Ⅱ)window with long wavelength emission and high brightness,which can improve the performance of biological imaging.Herein,we report a molecular engineering approach to afford NIR-Ⅱ fluorophores with these merits based on fused-ring acceptor(FRA)molecules.Dioctyl 3,4-propylenedioxy thiophene(PDOT-C8)is utilized as the bridging donor to replace 3-ethylhexyloxy thiophene(3-EHOT),leading to more than 20 times enhancement of brightness.The nanofluorophores(NFs)based on the optimized CPTIC-4F molecule exhibit an emission peak of 1,110 nm with a fluorescence quantum yield(QY)of 0.39%(QY of IR-26 is 0.050%in dichloroethane as reference)and peak absorption coefficient of 14.5 x 10^4 M^-1·cm^-1 in aqueous solutions,which are significantly higher than those of 3-EHOT based COTIC-4F NFs.It is found that PDOT-C8 can weaken intermolecular aggregation,enhance protection of molecular backbone from water,and decrease backbone distortion,beneficial for the high brightness.Compared with indocyanine green with same injection dose,CPTIC-4F NFs show 10 times higher signal-to-background ratio for whole body vessels imaging at 1,300 nm long pass filters.Xingfu Zhu Chunchen Liu Zhubin Hu Haile Liu Jiang Wang Yang Wang Xinyuan Wang Rui Ma Xiaodong Zhang Haitao Sun Yongye Liang 2020Nano Research2020,13,9:1

17Detection and classification of pesticide residues in dandelion(Taraxacum officinale L.)by electronic nose combined with chemometric approaches显示文摘In this study,for the first time a suitable pesticide residue detection system for dandelion(Taraxacum officinale L.)was established based on electronic nose to determine and study the concentration of pesticide residue in dandelion.Dandelions were sprayed with different concentrations of pesticides(avermectin,trichlorfon,deltamethrin,and acetamiprid),respectively.Data collection was performed by application of an electronic nose equipped with 12 metal oxide semiconductor(MOS)sensors.Data analysis was conducted using different methods including BP neural network and random forest(RF)as well as the support vector machine(SVM).The results showed the superior effectiveness of SVM in discrimination and classification of non-exceeding maximum residue limits(MRLs)and exceeding MRLs standards.Moreover,the model trained by SVM has the best performance for the classification of pesticide categories in dandelion,and the classification accuracy was 91.7%.The results of this study can provide reference for further development and construction of efficient detection technology of pesticide residues based on electronic nose for agricultural products.Jianlei Qiao Xinmei Jiang Xiaohui Weng Hongbo Cui Chang Liu Yuanjun Zou Hailing Yu Yucai Feng Zhiyong Chang 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,5:0
18Thermal properties of high temperature vacuum receivers used for parabolic trough solar thermal power system显示文摘The receiver's emittance and vacuum pressure are the two of great significance issues on the heat-loss which is the main factor reducing the efficiency of the parabolic though systems. In this paper, the thermal steady-state equilibrium method was used to test the receivers heat-loss. The receivers with increasing emittance were tested to study the variation of heat-loss. Meanwhile, the variable vacuum pressure in the annulus that affects the efficiency of the system was investigated. The influence of vacuumizing rate and getters on the vacuum pressure and heat-loss were discussed. The result shows that the emittance and vacuum pressure affect the receiver's heat-loss dramatically, and the emittance is the major influence factor on the thermal properties. 20Electrochemical formation of Mg-La-Mn alloys by coreduction of Mg(Ⅱ),La(Ⅲ)and Mn(Ⅱ)in LiCl+KCl molten salts显示文摘In the present work,cyclic voltammetry(CV),square wave voltammetry(SWV)and chronopotentiometry(CP)were used to investigate the electrochemical coreduction behaviors of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)as well as La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ)and Mn(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode in LiCl+KCl molten salts.CV and SWV results exhibit that the coreduction mechanism of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode is that La(Ⅲ)is reduced and Mg-La intermetallic compound is formed,leading to the deposition potential of La(Ⅲ)shifting to more positive one.The electrochemical signals pertaining to the formation of metallic La,Mg and Mn as well as Mg-La intermetallic compound are also observed by coreduction of La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ),and Mn(Ⅱ)in LiCl+KCl molten salt on the inert Mo electrode.However,the electrochemical signals associated with the formation of La-Mn and Mg-Mn alloys are not observed,which means that the depolarization effect of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)does not occur on pre-deposited Mn electrode.The Mg-La-Mn alloys were formed by co-deposition of La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ),and Mn(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode at various concentration ratios of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ).The results of scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction displays that the Mg-La-Mn alloys are comprised of La-Mg compound Mg_(17)La_(2),Mg and Mn phases.The concentration ratio of La(Ⅲ)and Mn(Ⅱ)has few effects on the alloy composition.Mei Li Yongcheng Zhang Haiming Li Hailing Jiang Wei Han Yang Sun 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,3:0
