4Inorganic Colloidal Electrolyte for Highly Robust Zinc‑Ion Batteries显示文摘Zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)is a promising electrical energy storage candidate due to its eco-friendliness,low cost,and intrinsic safety,but on the cathode the element dissolution and the formation of irreversible products,and on the anode the growth of dendrite as well as irreversible products hinder its practical application.Herein,we propose a new type of the inorganic highly concentrated colloidal electrolytes(HCCE)for ZIBs promoting simultaneous robust protection of both cathode/anode leading to an effective suppression of element dissolution,dendrite,and irreversible products growth.The new HCCE has high Zn^(2+)ion transference number(0.64)endowed by the limitation of SO4^(2−),the competitive ion conductivity(1.1×10^(–2) S cm^(−1))and Zn2+ion diffusion enabled by the uniform pore distribution(3.6 nm)and the limited free water.The Zn/HCCE/α-MnO2 cells exhibit high durability under both high and low current densities,which is almost 100%capacity retention at 200 mA g^(−1) after 400 cycles(290 mAh g^(−1))and 89%capacity retention under 500 mA g^(−1) after 1000 cycles(212 mAh g^(−1)).Considering material sustainability and batteries’high performances,the colloidal electrolyte may provide a feasible substitute beyond the liquid and all-solid-state electrolyte of ZIBs.Jiawei Gao Xuesong Xie Shuquan Liang Bingan Lu Jiang Zhou 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4:6
5Heat transfer and fluid flow and their effects on the solidification microstructure in full-penetration laser welding of aluminum sheet显示文摘Understanding the behaviors of heat transfer and fluid flow in weld pool and their effects on the solidification microstructure are significant for performance improvement of laser welds.This paper develops a three-dimensional numerical model to understand the multi-physical processes such as heat transfer,melt convection and solidification behavior in full-penetration laser welding of thin 5083 aluminum sheet.Solidification parameters including temperature gradient G and solidification rate R,and their combined forms are evaluated to interpret solidification microstructure.The predicted weld dimensions and the microstructure morphology and scale agree well with experiments.Results indicate that heat conduction is the dominant mechanism of heat transfer in weld pool,and melt convection plays a critical role in microstructure scale.The mushy zone shape/size and solidification parameters can be modulated by changing process parameters.Dendritic structures form because of the low G/R value.The scale of dendritic structures can be reduced by increasing GR via decreasing heat input.The columnar to equiaxed transition is predicted quantitatively via the process related G^3/R.These findings illustrate how heat transfer and fluid flow affect the solidification parameters and hence the microstructure,and show how to improve microstructure by optimizing the process.Shaoning Geng Ping Jiang Xinyu Shao Lingyu Guo Xuesong Gao 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11:5
6Constraint-induced movement therapy promotes brain functional reorganization in stroke patients with hemiplegia显示文摘Stroke patients with hemiplegia exhibit flexor spasms in the upper limb and extensor spasms in the lower limb, and their movement patterns vary greatly. Constraint-induced movement therapy is an upper limb rehabilitation technique used in stroke patients with hemiplegia; however, studies of lower extremity rehabilitation are scarce. In this study, stroke patients with lower limb hemiplegia underwent conventional Bobath therapy for 4 weeks as baseline treatment, followed by constraint-induced movement therapy for an additional 4 weeks. The 10-m maximum walking speed and Berg balance scale scores significantly improved following treatment, and lower extremity motor function also improved. The results of functional MRI showed that constraint-induced movement therapy alleviates the reduction in cerebral functional activation in patients, which indicates activation of functional brain regions and a significant increase in cerebral blood perfusion. 7Autophagy enhanced by curcumin ameliorates inflammation in atherogenesis via the TFEB-P300-BRD4 axis显示文摘Disturbance of macrophage-associated lipid metabolism plays a key role in atherosclerosis.Crosstalk between autophagy deficiency and inflammation response in foam cells(FCs) through epigenetic regulation is still poorly understood. Here, we demonstrate that in macrophages, oxidized lowdensity lipoprotein(ox-LDL) leads to abnormal crosstalk between autophagy and inflammation,thereby causing aberrant lipid metabolism mediated through a dysfunctional transcription factor EB (TFEB)-P300-bromodomain-containing protein 4(BRD4) axis. ox-LDL led to macrophage autophagy deficiency along with TFEB cytoplasmic accumulation and increased reactive oxygen species generation. This activated P300 promoted BRD4 binding on the promoter regions of inflammatory genes, consequently contributing to inflammation with atherogenesis. Particularly, ox-LDL activated BRD4-dependent super-enhancer associated with liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS) on the regulatory regions of inflammatory genes. Curcumin(Cur) prominently restored FCs autophagy by promoting TFEB nuclear translocation, optimizing lipid catabolism, and reducing inflammation. The consequences of P300 and BRD4 on super-enhancer formation and inflammatory response in FCs could be prevented by Cur. Furthermore, the anti-atherogenesis effect of Cur was inhibited by macrophage-specific Brd4 overexpression or Tfeb knock-out in Apoe knock-out mice via bone marrow transplantation. 8Light-Written Reversible 3D Fluorescence and Topography Dual-Pattern with Memory and Self-Healing Abilities显示文摘To achieve the dynamical dual-pattern with multiplex information of complex topography and 3D fluorescence is challenging yet promising for wide applications ranging from visual bioassays,memory,smart devices to smart display.Here,we develop a convenient,reliable,and versatile method to realize the well-ordered dual-pattern with reversible topography and 3D fluorescence via a light direct-writing approach based on the wrinkle mechanism.By introducing the charge transfer(CT)interaction betweenπ-electron-rich anthracene(AN)andπ-electron-poor naphthalene diimide(NDI)into the polymer system,both modulus and fluorescence of the polymer films can be spatially regulated through the photodimerization of AN,which is controlled in-plane by photomasks,and becomes gradient in the vertical direction due to the filter effect of light.Therefore,the exposed sample displays a well-ordered complex pattern with the same topography as the applied photomask and 3D gradient change of fluorescence from red to green laterally across the layers simultaneously.The spatial cross-linking and CT interaction of the gradient layer can be controlled independently,which not only provides the reliability and reversibility of the topographical and fluorescence dual-pattern but also endows the possibility for tailoring the pattern with memory and selfhealing.These characters of the dual-pattern with reversible topography and 3D fluorescence declare the clear applications in smart multiplex displays,memory,anticounterfeiting,visual detections,and so on.Jing Bai Luzhi Zhang Honghao Hou Zixing Shi Jie Yin Xuesong Jiang 2019Research2019,,1:4

10A junction-by-junction feedback-based strategy with convergence analysis for dynamic traffic assignment显示文摘By considering the traffic assignment problem as a control problem, this paper develops a new realtime route guidance strategy for accurate convergence of the traffic flows to user equilibrium(UE) or system optimum(SO), in the presence of drivers' response uncertainties. With the new guidance strategy, the drivers make routing decisions based on the route guidance information from junction to junction. Specifically, instead of total travel cost of every route from origin to destination, the travel cost of every alternative link plus the average cost to destination from the next junction corresponding to the alternative link is sent to the drivers at each specific junction. The drivers' response to the route guidance information is directly modeled by the splitting rates at the junctions, which are simply negatively correlated with the comparison of related cost information and are able to take into account the drivers' response uncertainties. With the proposed route guidance strategy, in the case of fixed travel demands, the accurate convergence of the traffic flows to a UE is guaranteed in the presence of drivers' response uncertainties by using La Salle's invariance principle. 11Biocompatible zinc battery with programmable electro-cross-linked electrolyte显示文摘Aqueous zinc batteries(ZBs) attract increasing attention for potential applications in modern wearable and implantable devices due to their safety and stability.However,challenges associated with biosafety designs and the intrinsic electrochemistry of ZBs emerge when moving to practice,especially for biomedical devices.Here,we propose a green and programmable electro-cross-linking strategy to in situ prepare a multi-layer hierarchical Zn-alginate polymer electrolyte(Zn-Alg) via the superionic binds between the carboxylate groups and Zn^(2+).Consequently,the Zn-Alg electrolyte provides high reversibility of 99.6 5 %Coulombic efficiency(CE),>500 h of long-time stability and high bio compatibility(no damage to gastric and duodenal mucosa) in the body.A wire-shaped Zn/Zn-Alg/α-MnO_(2) full battery affords 95% capacity retention after 100 cycles at 1 A g^(-1) and good flexibility.The new strategy has three prominent advantages over the conventional methods:(ⅰ) the cross-linking process for the synthesis of electrolytes avoids the introduction of any chemical reagents or initiators;(ⅱ) a highly reversible Zn battery is easily provided from a micrometer to large scales through automatic programmable functions;and(ⅲ) high biocompatibility is capable of implanted and bio-integrated devices to ensure body safety.Xuesong Xie Jingjing Li Zhengyue Xing Bingan Lu Shuquan Liang Jiang Zhou 2023National Science Review2023,10,3:2
12A functionalized separator enables dendrite-free Zn anode via metal-polydopamine coordination chemistry显示文摘Designing a multifunctional separator with abundant ion migration paths is crucial for tuning the ion transport in rocking-chair-type batteries.Herein,a polydopamine-functionalized PVDF(PVDF@PDA)nanofibrous membrane is designed to serve as a separator for aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs).The functional groups(OH and NH)in PDA facilitate the formation of Zn O and Zn N coordination bonds with Zn ions,homogenizing the Zn-ion flux and thus enabling dendrite-free Zn deposition.Moreover,the PVDF@PDA separator effectively inhibits the shuttling of V-species through the formation of V-O coordination bonds.As a result,the Zn/NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10) battery with the PVDF@PDA separator exhibits enhanced cycling stability(92.3%after 1000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1))and rate capability compared to that using a glass fiber separator.This work provides a new avenue to design functionalized separators for high-performance AZIBs.Yanfen Liu Shude Liu Xuesong Xie Zhicheng Li Pinji Wang Bingan Lu Shuquan Liang Yan Tang Jiang Zhou 2023InfoMat2023,5,3:2
13Melatonin antagonizes ovarian aging via YTHDF2-MAPK-NF-κB pathway显示文摘Cellular senescence is closely associated with age-related diseases.Ovarian aging,a special type of organ senescence,is the pathophysiological foundation of the diseases of the reproductive system.It is characterized by the loss of integrity of the surface epithelium and a gradual decrease in the number of human ovarian surface epithelial cells(HOSEpiCs).To contribute to the research on delaying ovarian aging,we aimed to investigate the novel epigenetic mechanism of melatonin in protecting HOSEpiCs.We discovered that melatonin has antagonistic effects against the oncogene-induced senescence(OIS)of HOSEpiCs.Mechanistically,the oncogene Ras decreased the expression of YTHDF2,which is the reader of RNA-m6A,by stimulating the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS).Moreover,we found that the suppression of YTHDF2 increased the expression of MAP2K4 and MAP4K4 by enhancing the stability of the transcription of their mRNAs,thereby upregulating the expression of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP)through the activation of the MAP2K4 and MAP4K4-dependent nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)signaling pathways.We further determined that melatonin has antagonistic effects against the OIS of HOSEpiCs by inhibiting the ROS-YTHDF2-MAPK-NF-κB pathway.These findings provide key insights into the potential avenues for preventing and treating ovarian aging.Ruigong Zhu Xian Ji Xuan Wu Jiajing Chen Xuesong Li Hong Jiang Haiping Fu Hui Wang Zhe Lin Xin Tang Shixiu Sun Qingguo Li Bingjian Wang Hongshan Chen 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,2:2
14Regulating surface wrinkles using light显示文摘Regulating existing micro and nano wrinkle structures into desired configurations is urgently necessary yet remains challenging,especially modulating wrinkle direction and location on demand.In this work,we propose a novel light-controlled strategy for surface wrinkles,which can dynamically and precisely regulate all basic characteristics of wrinkles,including wavelength,amplitude,direction and location(λ,A,θand Lc),and arbitrarily tune wrinkle topographies in two dimensions(2 D).By considering the bidirectional Poisson’s effect and soft boundary conditions,a modified theoretical model depicting the relation between stress distributions and the basic characteristics was developed to reveal the mechanical mechanism of the regulation strategy.Furthermore,the resulting 2 D ordered wrinkles can be used as a dynamic optical grating and a smart template to reversibly regulate the morphology of various functional materials.This study will pave the way for wrinkle regulation and guide fabrication technology for functional wrinkled surfaces.Liangwei Zhou Kaiming Hu Wenming Zhang Guang Meng Jie Yin Xuesong Jiang 2020National Science Review2020,7,7:2
15Fluid evolution and hydrocarbon accumulation model of ultra-deep gas reservoirs in Permian Qixia Formation of northwest Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘The fluid evolution and reservoir formation model of the ultra-deep gas reservoirs in the Permian Qixia Formation of the northwestern Sichuan Basin are investigated by using thin section,cathodoluminescence,inclusion temperature and U-Pb isotopic dating,combined with gas source identification plates and reservoir formation evolution profiles established based on burial history,thermal history,reservoir formation history and diagenetic evolution sequence.The fluid evolution of the marine ultra-deep gas reservoirs in the Qixia Formation has undergone two stages of dolomitization and one phase of hydrothermal action,two stages of oil and gas charging and two stages of associated burial dissolution.The diagenetic fluids include ancient seawater,atmospheric freshwater,deep hydrothermal fluid and hydrocarbon fluids.The two stages of hydrocarbon charging happened in the Late Triassic and Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous respectively,and the Middle to Late Cretaceous is the period when the crude oil cracked massively into gas.The gas reservoirs in deep marine Permian strata of northwest Sichuan feature multiple source rocks,composite transportation,differential accumulation and late finalization.The natural gas in the Permian is mainly cracked gas from Permian marine mixed hydrocarbon source rocks,with cracked gas from crude oil in the deeper Sinian strata in local parts.The scale development of paleo-hydrocarbon reservoirs and the stable and good preservation conditions are the keys to the forming large-scale gas reservoirs.LI Jianzhong BAI Bin BAI Ying LU Xuesong ZHANG Benjian QIN Shengfei SONG Jinmin JIANG Qingchun HUANG Shipeng 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,4:2
