1Identification of coastal wetlands of international importance for waterbirds:a review of China Coastal Waterbird Surveys 2005–2013显示文摘Background:China's coastal wetlands belong to some of the most threatened ecosystems worldwide.The loss and degradation of these wetlands seriously threaten waterbirds that depend on wetlands.Methods:The China Coastal Waterbird Census was organized by volunteer birdwatchers in China's coastal region.Waterbirds were surveyed synchronously once every month at 14 sites,as well as irregularly at a further 18 sites,between September 2005 and December 2013.Results:A total of 75 species of waterbirds met the 1 % population level Ramsar listing criterion at least once at one site.The number of birds of the following species accounted for over 20 % of the total flyway populations at a single site:Mute Swan(Cygnus olor),Siberia Crane(Grus leucogeranus),Far Eastern Oystercatcher(Haematopus osculans),Bar-tailed Godwit(Limosa lapponica),Spotted Greenshank(Tringa guttifer),Great Knot(Calidris tenuirostris),Spoon-billed Sandpiper(Calidris pygmeus),Saunders' s Gull(Larus saundersi),Relict Gull(Larus relictus),Great Cormorant(Phalacrocorax carbo),Eurasian Spoonbill(Platalea leucorodia),Black-faced Spoonbill(Platalea minor) and Dalmatian Pelican(Pelecanus crispus).A total of 26 sites supported at least one species of which their number met the1 % criterion.Forty-two species met the 1 % criterion in the Yellow River Delta,Shandong;29 at the Cangzhou coast,Hebei and 26 species at the Lianyungang coast,Jiangsu.Conclusions:The results highlight the international importance of China's coastal wetlands for waterbirds.This study also demonstrates that participation of local birdwatchers in waterbird surveys results in data that are invaluable not only for understanding the current status of waterbirds in China's coastal regions but also for waterbird conservation and management.Qingquan Bai Jianzhong Chen Zhihong Chen Guotai Dong Jiangtian Dong Wenxiao Dong Vivian Wing Kan Fu Yongxiang Han Gang Lu Jing Li Yang Liu Zhi Lin Derong Meng Jonathan Martinez Guanghui Ni Kai Shan Renjie Sun Suixing Tian Fengqin Wang Zhiwei Xu Yat-tung Yu Jin Yang Zhidong Yang Lin Zhang Ming Zhang Xiangwu Zeng 2015Chinese Birds2015,,3:20
2Thermal energy storage:Challenges and the role of particle technology显示文摘Thermal energy is at the heart of the whole energy chain providing a main linkage between the primary and secondary energy sources.Thermal energy storage(TES)has a pivotal role to play in the energy chain and hence in future low carbon economy.However,a competitive TES technology requires a number of scientific and technological challenges to be addressed including TES materials,TES components and devices,and integration of TES devices with energy networks and associated dynamic optimization.This paper provides a perspective of TES technology with a focus on TES materials challenges using molten salts based phase change materials for medium and high temperature applications.Two key challenges for the molten salt based TES materials are chemical incompatibility and low thermal conductivity.The use of composite materials provides an avenue to meeting the challenges.Such composite materials consist of a phase change material,a structural supporting material,and a thermal conductivity enhancement material.The properties of the supporting material could determine the dispersion of the thermal conductivity enhancement material in the salt.A right combination of the salt,the structural supporting material,and the thermal conductivity enhancement material could give a hierarchical structure that is able to encapsulate the molten salt and give a substantial enhancement in the thermal conductivity.Understanding of the structure-property relationships for the composite is essential for the formulation design and fabrication of the composite materials.Linking materials properties to the system level performance is recommended as a key future direction of research.Zhiwei Ge Yongliang Li Dacheng Li Ze Sun Yi Jin Chuanping Liu Chuan Li Guanghui Leng Yulong Ding 2014Particuology2014,12,4:20

4Occurrence of perfluoroalkyl acids in precipitation from Shenyang,China显示文摘Perfluorosulfonates (PFSAs) and perfluorocarboxylates (PFCAs) in precipitation collected from Shenyang, China were determined. Snow samples were collected in the snow event on March 4, 2007 from 34 sites involving both the urban and suburban areas in Shenyang. The snowmelt was preconcentrated by solid phase extraction and analyzed using LC-MS method. Measurable amounts of perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAS) were found in precipitation samples from Shenyang, demonstrating that wet deposition is one possible pathway for the removing of the selected PFAS chemicals from atmosphere. Major PFAS detected were PFOS (<0.38―51 ng/L), PFOA (0.82―13 ng/L) and PFHpA (0.76―11 ng/L), with their mean concentration of 5.4, 3.3 and 2.9 ng/L, respectively. Other PFSAs and PFCAs were detected at much lower frequency or below the limit of detection in all the samples. 5Multi-dimensional visualization for the morphology of lubricant stearic acid particles and their distribution in tablets显示文摘The shapes of particles and their distribution in tablets, controlled by pretreatment and tableting process, determine the pharmaceutical performance of excipient like lubricant. This study aims to provide deeper insights to the relationship of the morphology and spatial distribution of stearic acid(SA) with the lubrication efficiency, as well as the resulting tablet property. Unmodified SA particles as flat sheet-like particles were firstly reprocessed by emulsification in hot water to obtain the reprocessed SA particles with spherical morphology. The three-dimensional(3 D) information of SA particles in tablets was detected by a quantitative and non-invasive 3 D structure elucidation technique, namely, synchrotron radiation X-ray micro-computed tomography(SR-μCT). SA particles in glipizide tablets prepared by using unmodified SA(GUT), reprocessed SA(GRT), as well as reference listed drug(RLD) of glipizide tablets were analyzed by SR-μCT. The results showed that the reprocessed SA with better flowability contributed to similarity of breaking forces between that of GRT and RLD. SA particles in GRT were very similar to those in RLD with uniform morphology and particle size, while SA particles in GUT were not evenly distributed. 6Evaluation of SARS-CoV-2-Neutralizing Nanobody Using Virus Receptor Binding Domain-Administered Model Mice显示文摘Due to the rapid spread of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),there is an urgent requirement for the development of additional diagnostic tools for further analysis of the disease.The isolated nanobody Nb11-59 binds to the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)reeptor-binding domain[RBD]with high afinity to neutralize the virus and block the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2-(ACE2-)RBD interaction.Here,we introduce a novel nanobody-based radiotracer named^(68)Ga-Nb1159.The radiotracer retained high affinity for the RBD and showed reliable radiochemical characteristics both in vitro and in vivo.Predinical positron emission tomography(PET)studies of Ga-Nb1159 in mice revealed is rapid dearance from circulation and robust uptake into the renal and urinary systems.Fortunately,^(68)Ga-Nb1159 could speifcally reveal the distribution of the RBD in mice.This sudy also helped to evaluate the pharmacodynamic efects of the neutralizing nanobody.Moreover,^(68)Ga-Nb1159 may be a promising l0ol lo explore the distribution of the RBD and improve the understanding of the virus.In particular,this study identified a novel molecular radioagent and established a reliable evaluation method for speifially investigating the RBD through noninvasive and visual PET technology.Song Liu Guanghui Li Lei Ding Jin Ding Qian Zhang Dan Li Xingguo Hou Xiangxing Kong Jing Zou Shiming Zhang Hongbin Han Yakun Wan Zhi Yang Hua Zhu 2022Research2022,,2:2

8Crystallization of Al-based Amorphous Alloys in Good Conductivity Solution显示文摘The corrosion-induced crystallization of Al94 exNixGd6(x=6 and 10, in at.%) metallic glasses as well as phase separation, oxidation and cracking in good conductivity solution has been investigated by various techniques.The transmission electronic microscopy(TEM) result reveals that crystalline intermetallics and oxides present on the electrochemically thinned hole edge, and the phase separation occurs in the matrix of the as-spun ribbons with the circumferential speed Rcof 29.3 m/s. In addition, the bending and cracking of the samples occur after corrosion. 16A targeted covalent inhibitor of p97 with proteome-wide selectivity显示文摘A resurging interest in targeted covalent inhibitors(TCIs)focus on compounds capable of irreversibly reacting with nucleophilic amino acids in a druggable target.p97 is an emerging protein target for cancer therapy,viral infections and neurodegenerative diseases.Extensive efforts were devoted to the development of p97 inhibitors.The most promising inhibitor of p97 was in phase 1 clinical trials,but failed due to the off-target-induced toxicity,suggesting the selective inhibitors of p97 are highly needed.We report herein a new type of TCIs(i.e.,FL-18)that showed proteome-wide selectivity towards p97.Equipped with a Michael acceptor and a basic imidazole,FL-18 showed potent inhibition towards U87 MG tumor cells,and in proteome-wide profiling,selectively modified endogenous p97 as confirmed by in situ fluorescence scanning,label-free quantitative proteomics and functional validations.FL-18 selectively modified cysteine residues located within the D2 ATP site of p97.This covalent labeling of cysteine residue in p97 was verified by LC-MS/MS-based site-mapping and site-directed mutagenesis.Further structure-activity relationship(SAR)studies with FL-18 analogs were established.Collectively,FL-18 is the first known small-molecule TCI capable of covalent engagement of p97 with proteome-wide selectivity,thus providing a promising scaffold for cancer therapy.Zi Ye Ke Wang Lianguo Chen Xiaofeng Jin Hao Chen Guanghui Tang Shao Q.Yao Zhiqiang Feng Chong-Jing Zhang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2:1
17Enhanced inhibitory control during re-engagement processing in badminton athletes:An event-related potential study显示文摘Purpose:The purpose of present study was to investigate the impact of sport experience on response inhibition and response re-engagement in expert badminton athletes during the stop-signal task and change-signal task.Methods:A total of 19 badminton athletes and 20 nonathletes performed both the stop-signal task and change-signal task.Reaction times(RTs)and event-related potentials were recorded and analyzed.Results:Behavioral results indicated that badminton athletes responded faster than nonathletes to go stimuli and to change signals,with faster change RTs and change-signal RTs,which take into consideration the variable stimulus onset time mean.During successful change trials in the change-signal task,the amplitudes of the event-related potential components N2 and P3 were smaller for badminton athletes than for nonathletes.Moreover,change-signal RTs and N2 amplitudes as well as change RTs and P3 amplitudes were significantly correlated in badminton athletes.A significant correlation was also found between the amplitude of the event-related potential component N1 and response accuracy to change signals in badminton athletes.Conclusion:Moderation of brain cortical activity in badminton athletes was more associated with their ability to rapidly inhibit a planned movement and re-engage with a new movement compared with nonathletes.The superior inhibitory control and more efficient neural mechanisms in badminton athletes compared with nonathletes might be a result of badminton athletes’ professional training experience.Jiacheng Chen Yanan Li Guanghui Zhang Xinhong Jin Yingzhi Lu Chenglin Zhou 2019Journal of Sport and Health Science2019,8,6:1
