1Tumor-expressed B7-H3 mediates the inhibition of antitumor T-cell functions in ovarian cancer insensitive to PD-1 blockade therapy显示文摘Although PD-L1/PD-1 blockade therapy has been approved to treat many types of cancers,the majority of patients with solid tumors do not respond well,but the underlying reason remains unclear.Here,we studied ovarian cancer(OvCa),a tumor type generally resistant to current immunotherapies,to investigate PD-1-independent immunosuppression.We found that PD-L1 was not highly expressed in the tumor microenvironment(TME)of human OvCa.Instead,B7-H3,another checkpoint molecule,was highly expressed by both tumor cells and tumor-infiltrating antigen-presenting cells(APCs),which correlated with T-cell exhaustion in patients.Using ID8 OvCa mouse models,we found that B7-H3 expressed on tumor cells,but not host cells,had a dominant role in suppressing antitumor immunity.Therapeutically,B7-H3 blockade,but not PD-1 blockade,prolonged the survival of ID8 tumorbearing mice.Collectively,our results demonstrate that tumor-expressed B7-H3 inhibits the function of CD8^(+)T cells and suggest that B7-H3 may be a target in patients who are not responsive to PD-L1/PD-1 inhibition,particularly OvCa patients.Dongli Cai Jiaming Li Dingfeng Liu Shanjuan Hong Qin Qiao Qinli Sun Pingping Li Nanan Lyu Tiantian Sun Shan Xie Li Guo Ling Ni Liping Jin Chen Dong 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,3:8
2Autophagy enhanced by curcumin ameliorates inflammation in atherogenesis via the TFEB-P300-BRD4 axis显示文摘Disturbance of macrophage-associated lipid metabolism plays a key role in atherosclerosis.Crosstalk between autophagy deficiency and inflammation response in foam cells(FCs) through epigenetic regulation is still poorly understood. Here, we demonstrate that in macrophages, oxidized lowdensity lipoprotein(ox-LDL) leads to abnormal crosstalk between autophagy and inflammation,thereby causing aberrant lipid metabolism mediated through a dysfunctional transcription factor EB (TFEB)-P300-bromodomain-containing protein 4(BRD4) axis. ox-LDL led to macrophage autophagy deficiency along with TFEB cytoplasmic accumulation and increased reactive oxygen species generation. This activated P300 promoted BRD4 binding on the promoter regions of inflammatory genes, consequently contributing to inflammation with atherogenesis. Particularly, ox-LDL activated BRD4-dependent super-enhancer associated with liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS) on the regulatory regions of inflammatory genes. Curcumin(Cur) prominently restored FCs autophagy by promoting TFEB nuclear translocation, optimizing lipid catabolism, and reducing inflammation. The consequences of P300 and BRD4 on super-enhancer formation and inflammatory response in FCs could be prevented by Cur. Furthermore, the anti-atherogenesis effect of Cur was inhibited by macrophage-specific Brd4 overexpression or Tfeb knock-out in Apoe knock-out mice via bone marrow transplantation. 3Effect of Ningmitai capsule plus sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation and enlarged seminal vesicles:A randomized clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation(PE) and an increased anterior-posterior diameter(APD) of the seminal vesicles(SVs).METHODS: Sixty men with acquired PE were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups. The combined group was treated with Ningmitai capsule and sertraline, while the control group was treated with sertraline alone. Main outcomes were measured using the premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT), APD of SVs, and Clinical Global Impression of Change questionnaire and compared before and after 3 months of treatment.RESULTS: Comparing after treatment with before treatment outcomes within each group, the PEDT score was significantly reduced in the combined group(12.1 ± 2.5 vs 8.6 ± 3.2, P < 0.001, respectively) and control group(12.9 ± 2.6 vs 10.3 ± 1.6, P <0.001, respectively). Furthermore, the PEDT score after treatment was significantly lower in the combined compared with control group(8.6 ± 3.2 vs10.3 ± 1.6, P = 0.011, respectively). The APD of SVs in the combined group was significantly decreased after treatment [(10.8 ± 2.4) vs(12.9 ± 2.2) mm, P =0.001], while the APD of SVs in the control group was equivalent before and after treatment. The treatment response rate was not significantly higher in the combined compared with control group.CONCLUSION: These results indicated that the effect of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline was better than that of sertraline alone for the treatment of PE patients exhibiting an increased APD of SVs. 4Rearrangement on surface structures by boride to enhanced cycle stability for LiNi0.80Co0.15Al0.05O2 cathode in lithium ion batteries显示文摘The side reaction between the active material and liquid-electrolyte cause structural damage and particle pulverization is one of the important factors leading to the capacity decay of LiNi0.80Co0.15Al0.05O2(NCA)materials in Li ion batteries(LIBs).Surface modification is an effective strategy for NCA cathodes,which could alleviate the degradation associated with surface processes.Herein,a surface structure rearrangement of NCA cathode secondary particles was reported by in-situ forming a solid electrolyte LiBO2.The LiBO2 is beneficial for alleviating the stress during charge/discharge process,thereby slowing down the rate of cracks formation in the secondary particles,which facilitates the Li+de-intercalation as well as prevents penetration of the liquid-electrolyte into the interior of the particles.As a result,the surface structure rearrangement NCA(RS-NCA)delivers a high discharge capacity of 202.5 m Ah g^-1 at 0.1 C,and exhibits excellent cycle stability with discharge capacity retaining 148 m Ah g^-1 after 200 cycles at 2 C.This surface structure rearrangement approach provides a new viewpoint in designing high-performance high-voltage LIBs.Shubiao Xia Wenjin Huang Xiang Shen Jiaming Liu Feixiang Cheng Jian-Jun Liu Xiaofei Yang Hong Guo 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,6:3

7The nucleocapsid protein of rice stripe virus in cell nuclei of vector insect regulates viral replication显示文摘Rice stripe virus(RSV)transmitted by the small brown planthopper causes severe rice yield losses in Asian countries.Although viral nuclear entry promotes viral replication in host cells,whether this phenomenon occurs in vector cells remains unknown.Therefore,in this study,we systematically evaluated the presence and roles of RSV in the nuclei of vector insect cells.We observed that the nucleocapsid protein(NP)and viral genomic RNAs were partially transported into vector cell nuclei by utilizing the importin a nuclear transport system.When blocking NP nuclear localization,cytoplasmic RSV accumulation significantly increased.In the vector cell nuclei,NP bound the transcription factor YY1 and affected its positive regulation to FAIM.Subsequently,decreased FAIM expression triggered an antiviral caspase-dependent apoptotic reaction.Our results reveal that viral nuclear entry induces completely different immune effects in vector and host cells,providing new insights into the balance between viral load and the immunity pressure in vector insects.Wan Zhao Junjie Zhu Hong Lu Jiaming Zhu Fei Jiang Wei Wang Lan Luo Le Kang Feng Cui 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,5:2
8Non-canonical STING-PERK pathway dependent epigenetic regulation of vascular endothelial dysfunction via integrating IRF3 and NF-κB in inflammatory response显示文摘Inflammation-driven endothelial dysfunction is the major initiating factor in atherosclerosis,while the underlying mechanism remains elusive.Here,we report that the non-canonical stimulator of interferon genes(STING)-PKR-like ER kinase(PERK)pathway was significantly activated in both human and mice atherosclerotic arteries.Typically,STING activation leads to the activation of interferon regulatory factor 3(IRF3)and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)/p65,thereby facilitating IFN signals and infammation.In contrast,our study reveals the activated non-canonical STING-PERK pathway increases scaffold protein bromodomain protein 4(BRD4)expression,which encourages the formation of super-enhancers on the proximal promoter regions of the proinflammatory cytokines,thereby enabling the transactivation of these cytokines by integrating activated IRF3 and NF-κB via a condensation process.Endothelium-specific STING and BRD4 deficiency significantly decreased the plaque area and inflammation.Mechanistically,this pathway is triggered by leaked mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)via mitochondrial permeability transition pore(mPTP),formed by voltage-dependent anion channel 1(VDAC1)oligomer interaction with oxidized mtDNA upon cholesterol oxidation stimulation.Especially,compared to macrophages,endothelial STING activation plays a more pronounced role in atherosclerosis.We propose a non-canonical STING-PERK pathway-dependent epigenetic paradigm in atherosclerosis that integrates IRF3,NF-κB and BRD4 in inflammatory responses,which provides emerging therapeutic modalities for vascular endothelial dysfunction.Xuesong Li Xiang Chen Longbin Zheng Minghong Chen Yunjia Zhang Ruigong Zhu Jiajing Chen Jiaming Gu Quanwen Yin Hong Jiang Xuan Wu Xian Ji Xin Tang Mengdie Dong Qingguo Li Yuanqing Gao Hongshan Chen 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12:1
9Optimisation method for carbon black distribution of polypropylene-based semi-conductive screen materials and its effect on charge emission behaviour at screen/insulation interface显示文摘The semi-conductive(SC)screen materials used in polypropylene(PP)-based cables are usually multi-component composites.Polypropylene shows poor compatibility with carbon black(CB),and CB particles tend to disperse in the elastomer phase,which results in CB non-uniform dispersion in screen materials.The non-uniform distribution of CB will cause abnormal electric fields at the screen/insulation interface and affect insulation performance.This paper prepared modified PP grafted by molecule maleic anhydride,and four PP-based SC shielding materials were blended in combination with PP,PP-g-MAH,and thermoplastic elastomer(POE)as matrix resin.The CB distribution,electrical conductivity,and basic physical properties of the shielding material were characterised.Different screen materials were served as electrodes to test their effects on the space charge and conductivity characteristics of insulation.The relationship between the macroscopic properties and the distribution characteristics of CB was discussed.Results show that the selective dispersion of CB in screen material was improved by PPg-MAH and the surface electric potential distribution was homogenised.Charge emission at the screen/insulation interface and conductivity can be reduced by homogenising the CB distribution.CB/PP-g-MAH/POE prepared in this paper exhibits relatively uniform CB distribution,which can reduce the charge emission from the screen/insulation interface.Jiaming Yang Rui Zhang Xu Yang Zhi Sun Xindong Zhao Hong Zhao Xuan Wang Lin Li Heqian Liu 2023High Voltage2023,8,2:1

13Fault Diagnosis of Industrial Motors with Extremely Similar Thermal Images Based on Deep Learning-Related Classification Approaches显示文摘Induction motors(IMs)typically fail due to the rate of stator short-circuits.Because of the similarity of the thermal images produced by various instances of short-circuit and the minor interclass distinctions between categories,non-destructive fault detection is universally perceived as a difficult issue.This paper adopts the deep learning model combined with feature fusion methods based on the image’s low-level features with higher resolution and more position and details and high-level features with more semantic information to develop a high-accuracy classification-detection approach for the fault diagnosis of IMs.Based on the publicly available thermal images(IRT)dataset related to condition monitoring of electrical equipment-IMs,the proposed approach outperforms the highest training accuracy,validation accuracy,and testing accuracy,i.e.,99%,100%,and 94%,respectively,compared with 8 benchmark approaches based on deep learning models and 3 existing approaches in the literature for 11-class IMs faults.Even the training loss,validation loss,and testing loss of the eleven deployed deep learning models meet industry standards.Hong Zhang Qi Wang Lixing Chen Jiaming Zhou Haijian Shao 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,8:0
14Fabrication of wear-resistant PA6 composites with superior thermal conductivity and mechanical properties via constructing highly oriented hybrid network of SiC-packed BN platelets显示文摘Herein,a strong extensional and shearing field was introduced to construct highly oriented hybrid networks of silicon carbide(SiC)-packed boron nitride(BN)platelets to fabricate high-performance wearresistant PA6 composites.Results show that in-plane and through-plane thermal conductivity(TC)of the prepared PA6 composites with a total filler loading of 20 wt.%reached 1.31 and 0.35 W/(m K),352%and 25%higher than those of pure PA6,respectively.It is attributed to the highly oriented hybrid network that facilitates the formation of efficient thermal conductivity pathways.Temperature monitoring results during friction confirm that high TC favors the friction heat dissipation performance.Meanwhile,the yield strength of PA6 composites increased by 39.1%and they still have excellent ductility with an elongation at break of 207.1%.Finally,the wear rate of PA6 composites decreased sharply by 92.5%.This method can be used to manufacture advanced linear bearing and guideway parts,etc。Jing Chen Jiaming Zhu Yang Pan Hong Wu Shaoyun Guo Jianhui Qiu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,15:0
15Improved direct current electrical properties of XLPE modified by graftable antioxidant and crosslinking coagent at a wide temperature range显示文摘To enhance the DC electrical performance of cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE),the graftable antioxidant methacrylic acid 2-hydroxy-3-(4-anilinoanilino)propyl ester(GA),which contains carbonyl and amino groups,and the crosslinking coagent trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate(TMPTMA),which contains carbonyl groups,are individually or co-grafted onto XLPE.The slightly higher deep trap density introduced by higher grafting concentration of TMPTMA results in more significant suppression effect of conductance current and enhanced breakdown strength at a lower temperature,while the suppression effect for the conductance current at 90°C becomes weakened due to limited trap energy.Meanwhile,the deeper energy level introduced by GA suppresses the conductance current and improves the electrical strength of XLPE at 90°C more significantly.By co-grafting,the conductance current of XLPE in a wide range temperature can be significantly reduced,especially for the temperature dependence of conductance current,which is beneficial to suppress the field strength reversal.The results of thermally stimulated current and molecular simulation show that the polar groups of two monomers introduce deep charge traps in XLPE.The co-grafting system ensures the rationality of the crosslinking reaction kinetics and does not affect the cable manufacturing.Xu Yang Hong Zhao Chengcheng Zhang Chunyang Li Xindong Zhao Jiaming Yang Xuan Wang 2024High Voltage2024,9,1:0

19Application of Blockchain Sharding Technology in Chinese Medicine Traceability System显示文摘Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)is one of the most promising programs for disease prevention and treatment.Meanwhile,the quality of TCM has garnered much attention.To ensure the quality of TCM,many works are based on the blockchain scheme to design the traceability scheme of TCM to trace its origin.Although these schemes can ensure the integrity,sharability,credibility,and immutability of TCM more effectively,many problems are exposed with the rapid growth of TCM data in blockchains,such as expensive overhead,performance bottlenecks,and the traditional blockchain architecture is unsuitable for TCM data with dynamic growth.Motivated by the aforementioned problems,we propose a novel and lightweight TCM traceability architecture based on the blockchain using sharding(LBS-TCM).Compared to the existing blockchain-based TCM traceability system,our architecture utilizes sharding to develop a novel traceability mechanism that supports more convenient traceability operations for TCM requirements such as uploading,querying,and downloading.Specifically,our architecture consists of a leader shard blockchain layer as its main component,which employs a sharding mechanism to conveniently TCM tracing.Empirical evaluations demonstrated that our architecture showed better performance in many aspects compared to traditional blockchain architectures,such as TCM transaction processing,TCM transaction querying,TCM uploading,etc.In our architecture,tracing TCM has become a very efficient operation,which ensures the quality of TCM and provides great convenience for subsequent TCM analysis and retrospective research.Fuan Xiao Tong Lai Yutong Guan Jiaming Hong Honglai Zhang Guoyu Yang Zhengfei Wang 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7:0
20Study on the Anti-aging Efficacy of the Active Ingredients in Aqueous Extract of Ganoderma lucidum显示文摘[Objective] The research aimed to develop anti-aging masks with aqueous extracts of Ganoderma lucidum and to study the clinical efficacy on the delaying of skin aging. [Method] The anti-aging efficacy of the aqueous extract of Ganoderma lucidum was evaluated by sensory evaluation,safety evaluation,instrumental measurements,etc. [Result] The results of sensory evaluation showed that after continuous application of the test materials for 12 weeks,the skin dryness,elasticity,surface sheen,fine wrinkles and smoothness were well improved,and the improvement rates were 91. 17%,91. 17%,94. 12%,11. 76% and 91. 18%,respectively. The measurement results by specialized instrument showed that the skin hydration on the target site increased continuously with the prolonging of the using time. Significant differences existed between each time point after using the products and the time before using. There was no significant difference existed in elasticity index R2 and R5 compared with before using.
