| 3 | Traffic signal detection and classification in street views using an attention model显示文摘Detecting small objects is a challenging task.We focus on a special case:the detection and classification of traffic signals in street views.We present a novel framework that utilizes a visual attention model to make detection more efficient,without loss of accuracy,and which generalizes.The attention model is designed to generate a small set of candidate regions at a suitable scale so that small targets can be better located and classified.In order to evaluate our method in the context of traffic signal detection,we have built a traffic light benchmark with over 15,000 traffic light instances,based on Tencent street view panoramas.We have tested our method both on the dataset we have built and the Tsinghua–Tencent 100K(TT100K)traffic sign benchmark.Experiments show that our method has superior detection performance and is quicker than the general faster RCNN object detection framework on both datasets.It is competitive with state-of-theart specialist traffic sign detectors on TT100K,but is an order of magnitude faster.To show generality,we tested it on the LISA dataset without tuning,and obtained an average precision in excess of 90%. | Yifan Lu Jiaming Lu Songhai Zhang Peter Hall | 2018 | Computational Visual Media2018,4,3: | 16 |
| 4 | Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant. | 5 | Effect of Ningmitai capsule plus sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation and enlarged seminal vesicles:A randomized clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation(PE) and an increased anterior-posterior diameter(APD) of the seminal vesicles(SVs).METHODS: Sixty men with acquired PE were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups. The combined group was treated with Ningmitai capsule and sertraline, while the control group was treated with sertraline alone. Main outcomes were measured using the premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT), APD of SVs, and Clinical Global Impression of Change questionnaire and compared before and after 3 months of treatment.RESULTS: Comparing after treatment with before treatment outcomes within each group, the PEDT score was significantly reduced in the combined group(12.1 ± 2.5 vs 8.6 ± 3.2, P < 0.001, respectively) and control group(12.9 ± 2.6 vs 10.3 ± 1.6, P <0.001, respectively). Furthermore, the PEDT score after treatment was significantly lower in the combined compared with control group(8.6 ± 3.2 vs10.3 ± 1.6, P = 0.011, respectively). The APD of SVs in the combined group was significantly decreased after treatment [(10.8 ± 2.4) vs(12.9 ± 2.2) mm, P =0.001], while the APD of SVs in the control group was equivalent before and after treatment. The treatment response rate was not significantly higher in the combined compared with control group.CONCLUSION: These results indicated that the effect of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline was better than that of sertraline alone for the treatment of PE patients exhibiting an increased APD of SVs. | 6 | Effect of Zr on phase separation,mechanical and corrosion behavior of heterogeneous CoCrFeNiZr_(x) high-etropy alloy显示文摘CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy(HEA)has attracted extensive attention due to its excellent corrosion resistance,but the low strength limits its engineering application prospects.In order to develop CoCrFeNi based HEAs with high strength,ductility and corrosion resistance,the effects of Zr content on the microstructure,mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of heterogeneous CoCrFeNiZr_(x)(x=0,0.25,0.5 and 1)HEAs were investigated in this work.The results indicate that the increase of Zr content can significantly affect the phase stability of the alloy,and promote the formation of intermetallic compounds(Ni_(7)Zr_(2)and/or Laves phase)and the transformation of solid solution from face-centered cubic(FCC)structure(x=0,0.25 and 0.5)to body-centered cubic(BCC)structure(x=1).Reasonable control of the Zr content can endow the alloy excellent comprehensive properties.Especially,for CoCrFeNiZr_(0.25) alloy,composed of FCC matrix and a small amount of Ni_(7)Zr_(2)phases,the yield strength(~655 MPa)is increased by nearly four times higher than that of Zr-free alloy,and it also has good ductility(fracture stain>50%).Meanwhile,the corrosion resistance of CoCrFeNiZr_(0.25) alloy is better than that of SS304.The EIS results show that the addition of Zr reduces the stability of the passive film on the alloy,which can be related to the content of the beneficial oxide in the passive film and the thickness of the passive film through XPS analysis.Moreover,the work functions of different phases in CoCrFeNiZr_(x)alloys were obtained by firstprinciples calculations,which further confirmed the selective corrosion mechanism of the CoCrFeNiZr_(x) alloy combining the experimental results. | Wu Qi Wenrui Wang Xiao Yang Lu Xie Jiaming Zhang Dongyue Li Yong Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,14: | 3 |

| 10 | Termination of Transcription of LAT Increases the Amounts of ICP0 mRNA but Does Not Alter the Course of HSV-1 Infection in Latently Infected Murine Ganglia显示文摘On entering sensory ganglia,herpes simplex viruses 1(HSV-1)establishes a latent infection with the synthesis of a latency associated transcript(LAT)or initiates productive infection with expression of a set of immediate early viral proteins.The precise mechanisms how expression of a genes is suppressed during the latency are unknown.One mechanism that has been proposed is illustrated in the case of ICP0,a key immediate early viral regulatory protein.Specifically,the 2 kb LAT intron is complementary to the 30 terminal portion of ICP0 m RNA.To test the hypothesis that accumulation of LAT negatively affects the accumulation of ICP0 m RNA,we inserted a DNA fragment encoding two poly(A)sequences into LAT to early terminate LAT transcript without interrupting the complementary sequence of ICP0 transcript(named as SR1603).Comparisons of the parent(SR1601)and mutant(SR1603)HSV-1 viruses showed the following:Neurons harboring latent SR1603 virus accumulated equivalent amounts of viral DNA but higher amounts of ICP0 m RNA and lower amounts of LAT,when compared to neurons harboring the SR1601 virus.One notable difference between the two viruses is that viral RNA accumulation in explanted ganglia harboring SR1603 virus initiated significantly sooner than that in neurons harboring SR1601 virus,suggesting that ICP0 may act as an activator of viral gene expression in permissive cells.Collectively,these data suggest that increased ICP0 m RNA by suppressed LAT did not affect the establishment of latency in latently infected murine ganglia. | Haifang Jiang Jiaming Wu Xianjie Liu Ruitao Lu Manling Zhou Meiling Chen Yonghong Liu Grace Guoying Zhou Wenmin Fu | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,2: | 2 |

| 18 | Integrated Frequency-constrained Scheduling Considering Coordination of Frequency Regulation Capabilities from Multi-source Converters显示文摘As the proportion of renewable energy(RE)increases,the inertia and the primary frequency regulation(FR)capability of the power system decrease.Thus,ensuring frequency security in the scheduling model has become a new technical requirement in power systems with a high share of RE.Due to a shortage of conventional synchronous generators,the frequency support of multi-source converters has become an indispensable part of the system frequency resources,especially variable-speed wind turbine generation(WTG)and battery energy storage(BES).Quantitative expression of the FR capability of multi-source converters is necessary to construct frequency-constrained scheduling model.However,the frequency support performance of these converter-interfaced devices is related to their working states,operation modes,and parameters,and the complex coupling of these factors has not been fully exploited in existing models.In this study,we propose an integrated frequency-constrained scheduling model considering the coordination of FR capabilities from multi-source converters.Switchable FR control strategies and variable FR parameters for WTG with or without reserved power are modeled,and multi-target allocation of BES capacity between tracking dispatch instruction and emergency FR is analyzed.Then,the variable FR capabilities of WTG and BES are embedded into the integrated frequency-constrained scheduling model.The nonlinear constraints for frequency security are precisely linearized through an improved iteration-based strategy.The effectiveness of the proposed model is verified in a modified IEEE 24-bus standard system.The results suggest that the coordinated participation of BES and WTG in FR can effectively reduce the cost of the scheduling model while meeting frequency security constraints. | Jiaming Li Ying Qiao Zongxiang Lu Wei Ma Xin Cao Rongfu Sun | 2024 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2024,12,1: | 0 |
| 19 | Cancer risk in relatives of BRCA1/2 pathogenic variant carriers in a large series of unselected patients with breast cancer显示文摘Objective:The spectrum and risk of cancer in relatives of BRCA1/2 pathogenic variant carriers in the Chinese population have not been established.Methods:A family history of cancer in 9903 unselected breast cancer patients was retrospectively analyzed.BRCA1/2 status was determined for all patients and relative risks(RRs)were calculated to evaluate cancer risk in relatives of the patients.Results:The incidences of breast cancer in female relatives of BRCA1 carriers,BRCA2 carriers,and non-carriers were 33.0%,32.2%,and 7.7%,respectively.The corresponding incidences of ovarian cancer were 11.5%,2.4%,and 0.5%,respectively.The incidences of pancreatic cancer in male relatives of BRCA1 carriers,BRCA2 carriers,and non-carriers were 1.4%,2.7%,and 0.6%,respectively.The corresponding incidences of prostate cancer were 1.0%,2.1%,and 0.4%,respectively.The risks of breast and ovarian cancers in female relatives of BRCA1 and BRCA2 carriers were significantly higher than female relatives of non-carriers(BRCA1:RR=4.29,P<0.001 and RR=21.95,P<0.001;BRCA2:RR=4.19,P<0.001 and RR=4.65,P<0.001,respectively).Additionally,higher risks of pancreatic and prostate cancers were noted in male relatives of BRCA2 carriers than non-carriers(RR=4.34,P=0.001 and RR=4.86,P=0.001,respectively).Conclusions:Female relatives of BRCA1 and BRCA2 carriers are at increased risk for breast and ovarian cancers,and male relatives of BRCA2 carriers are at increased risk for pancreatic and prostate cancers. | Jiaming Liu Lu Yao Jie Sun Li Hu Jiuan Chen Juan Zhang Ye Xu Yuntao Xie | 2023 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,2: | 0 |
| 20 | Generation and Selection of Driver-Behavior-Based Transferable MotionPrimitives显示文摘To integrate driver experience and heterogeneous vehicle platform characteristics in a motion-planning algorithm,based on the driver-behavior-based transferable motion primitives(MPs), a general motion-planning framework for offline generation and online selection of MPs is proposed. Optimal control theory is applied to solve the boundary value problems in the process of generating MPs, where the driver behaviors and the vehicle motion characteristics are integrated into the optimization in the form of constraints. Moreover, a layered, unequal-weighted MP selection framework is proposed that utilizes a combination of environmental constraints, nonholonomic vehicle constraints,trajectory smoothness, and collision risk as the single-step extension evaluation index. The library of MPs generated offline demonstrates that the proposed generation method realizes the effective expansion of MP types and achieves diverse generation of MPs with various velocity attributes and platform types. We also present how the MP selection algorithm utilizes a unique MP library to achieve online extension of MP sequences.
