| 3 | Gene characterization and molecular pathway analysis of reverse thermosensitive genic male sterility in eggplant(Solanum melongena L.)显示文摘The naturally occurring mutant eggplant line 05ms was identified with reverse thermosensitive genic male sterility(rTGMS),but its temperature-responsive fertility mechanisms remain largely unknown.Here,we studied the flower morphology,anther cellular structure,and genome-wide gene expression of this rTGMS line.Candidate genes for thermosensitive male sterility during the microspore development of 05ms and the temperature-insensitive line S63 under low-temperature(LT)and high-temperature(HT)conditions were identified.Under LT,tapetum cells were vacuolated and had delayed disintegration in 05ms.RNA-seq analysis indicated that DEGs were enriched in the KEGG pathways‘plant hormone signal transduction’,‘starch and sucrose metabolism’,and‘phenylpropanoid biosynthesis’.We identified two genes,4CLL1(Sme2.5_00368.1_g00010.1)and CKI1(Sme2.5_10056.1_g00002.1),which could potentially regulate eggplant anther development and may be candidate genes for rTGMS.Finally,we propose a working model of anther abortion for rTGMS in eggplant.CKI1 responds to LT stress and causes expression changes in genes related to anther development,such as 4CLL1,and the cellular structure of the tapetum becomes abnormal,causing male sterility.The findings of this study explain the underlying molecular mechanisms of male sterility in eggplant rTGMS lines. | Bing Li Xueping Chen Yanrong Wu Aixia Gu Jingjing Zhang Shuangxia Luo Xiurui Gao Jianjun Zhao Xiuqing Pan Shuxing Shen | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 5 |

| 8 | Chronic acalculous cholecystitis:correlation of clinical assessment,laboratory data and final histopathology显示文摘Objective:To summarize and analyze the clinical and histopathological features of chronic acalculous cholecystitis (CAC) and to investigate the diagnosis and surgical treatment of chronic acalculous cholecystit.Methods:The study subjects were 39 patients with chronic biliary symptoms but no evidence of stones in the gallbladder by B ultrasonography and magnetic resonance cholopancreatography (MRCP) (CAC group).The CCC group consisted of 66 patients taken randomly from concurrent all patients of chronic calculous cholecystitis (CCC).All patients accepted fibergastroscopy,B ultrasonography,MRCP,laboratory examination preoperatively.We retrospectively analyzed the clinical features,B ultrasonography and MRCP findings,histopathological results and clinical outcomes between the two groups.Results:All the 39 patients were diagnosed by clinical symptoms,B ultrasonography,fatty meal gallbladder contractability studies under ultrasound,fibergastroscopy and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP),what's more,they were pathologically verified postoperatively.In all patients,there was a complete absence of gallbladder wall contractability.Mucosa epithelial defect was found in 21 patients in CAC group (53.8%) and 16 patients in CCC group (24.2%) respectively (P<0.005).Thickened arteriole wall was found in 29 patients in CAC group (74.4%) and none patient in CCC group (P<0.0001).Thickened gallbladder wall (4 mm or more in thickness) was found in 33 patients in CAC group (84.6%) and 28 patients in CCC group (42.4%) respectively (P<0.005).Bile stasis was found in 23 patients in CAC group (59.0%) and 14 patients in CCC group (21.2%) respectively by ultrasonography preoperatively and confirmed in operation (P<0.005).The outcomes of cholecystectomy,expressed as total or near total relief,was similar in the two groups.No statistically significant differences were observed between patients with CAC (90%) and CCC (80%),the P-value >0.05.Conclusion:Chronic acalculous cholecystitis could be diagnosed by symptoms,ultrasound,fatty meal gallbladder contractability studies under untrasoundand MRCP.The optimal treatment of chronic acalculous cholecystitis characterized by thickened arteriole wall and mucosa epithelial defect is cholecystectomy. | Yan Jianjun Zhu Qian Shen Jun Zhou Feiguo Huang Liang Liu Caifeng Zhang Xianghua Cong Wenming Yan Yiqun | 2012 | Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2012,27,2: | 4 |
| 9 | Theory, technology and prospects of conventional and unconventional natural gas显示文摘The development of natural gas in China has entered a golden and leap-forward stage, which is a necessary bridge to clean energy. This in-depth study on the status quo, theory, technology and prospect of natural gas development shows:(1) The global remaining proven recoverable reserves of natural gas are 186×1012 m3, and the reserves-production ratio is 52.4, indicating a solid resource base for long-term and rapid development.(2) Ten formation and distribution laws of conventional and unconventional natural gas reservoirs have been proposed. In terms of exploration geology, the theory of conventional 'monolithic' giant gas fields with different gas sources, and an unconventional gas accumulation theory with continuous distribution of 'sweet areas' in different lithologic reservoirs have been established; in terms of development geology, a development theory of conventional structural gas reservoirs is oriented to 'controlling water intrusion', while a development theory of unconventional gas is concentrated on man-made gas reservoirs.(3) With the geological resources(excluding hydrates) of 210×1012 m3 and the total proven rate of the resources less than 2% at present, the natural gas in China will see a constant increase in reserve and production; by 2030, the proven geological reserves of natural gas are expected to reach about(6 000-7 000)×108 m3, the production of conventional and unconventional natural gas each will reach about 1 000×108 m3, and the gas consumption will reach 5 500×108 m3. | 13 | Serum uric acid is a risk factor for large-artery atherosclerosis cerebral infarction显示文摘Using the Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment (TOAST) classification for acute ischemic stroke, 371 patients with either acute large-artery atherosclerosis or small-artery oc-clusion cerebral infarction were recruited to investigate the potential impact of elevated serum uric acid on cerebrovascular disorders. The results showed that patients who have suffered from large-artery atherosclerosis, relative to small-artery occlusion patients, were characterized by elevated serum uric acid but reduced high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Logistic regression showed that elevated uric acid and lower triglyceride levels were the main risk factors for patients with large-artery atherosclerosis. | 14 | Spatial distribution and stratigraphic characteristics of surface sediments in Taihu Lake,China显示文摘A geophysical survey was carried out for Taihu Lake,one of the largest shallow lakes in China.The StrataBox Marine Geophysical Instrument was applied for the first time to obtain high-resolution seismic data (in the form of vectorgraphs) of the lake sediment.Data were then interpreted by SonarWiz.Map acoustics software.Data were correlated with core stratigraphy from the lake as well as an outcrop on the northern side of the lake at Yao Bay.Results show that the upper 10 m sediment (beneath the interface of the sediment and the overlying lake water) is characterized by laminated sediments,which can be classified into two stratal types,i.e.lacustrine sediment stratum (U1) and underlying hard loess stratum (U2).The contact of these two lithologies is not continuous,and part of it is absent in the lake basin.Unequally spread over the lake basin,the lacustrine sediment (mainly consisting of sludge and muddy-clay) is found in areas along the western bank,to the northwest of the Xishan Mountains and along the northwestern side of the lake.In the rest of the lake basin,the hard loess stratum is exposed in outcrops.The depth of the lacustrine sediment ranges from 1 to 2 m,while the depth of the sludge (closely related to the modern lacustrine environment) varies from 0.03 to 1.0 m.The spatial distribution of lacustrine sediments in Taihu Lake is primarily influenced by transportation and sedimentation of riverine materials,as well as the hydrodynamics of lake currents. | SHEN Ji YUAN HeZhong LIU EnFeng WANG JianJun WANG Yong | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,2: | 3 |
| 15 | Comparative transcriptome analysis reveals defense responses against soft rot in Chinese cabbage显示文摘Pectobacterium carotovorum ssp.carotovorum(Pcc)is a necrotrophic bacterial species that causes soft rot disease in Chinese cabbage.In this study,plants harboring the resistant mutant sr gene,which confers resistance against Pcc,were screened from an 800 M2 population mutated by ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)and scored in vitro and in vivo for lesion size.The transcript profiles showed~512 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between sr and WT plants occurring between 6 and 12 h postinoculation(hpi),which corresponded to the important defense regulation period(resistance)to Pcc in Chinese cabbage.The downstream defense genes(CPK,CML,RBOH MPK3,and MPK4)of pathogen pattern-triggered immunity(PTI)were strongly activated during infection at 12 hpi in resistant mutant sr;PTI appears to be central to plant defense against Pcc via recognition by three putative pattern recognition receptors(PRRs;BrLYM1-BrCERK1,BrBKK1/SERK4-PEPR1,BrWAKs).Pcc triggered the upregulation of the jasmonic acid(JA)and ethylene(ET)biosynthesis genes in mutant sr,but auxins and other hormones may have affected some negative signals.Endogenous hormones(auxins,JAs,and SA),as well as exogenous auxins(MEJA and BTH),were also verified as functioning in the immune system.Concurrently,the expression of glucosinolate and lignin biosynthesis genes was increased at 12 hpi in resistant mutant sr,and the accumulation of glucosinolate and lignin also indicated that these genes have a functional defensive role against Pcc.Our study provides valuable information and elucidates the resistance mechanism of Chinese cabbage against Pcc infection. | Mengyang Liu Fang Wu Shan Wang Yin Lu Xueping Chen Yanhua Wang Aixia Gu Jianjun Zhao Shuxing Shen | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 2 |
| 16 | Carboniferous Highly Fractionated I-type Granites from the Kalamaili Fault Zone, Eastern Xinjiang, NW China: Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications显示文摘Carboniferous magmatism is one of the most important tectonothermal events in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB). However, the final closure time of the Kalamaili Ocean between East Junggar and Harlik Mountain is still debated. Early Carboniferous(332 Ma) and late Carboniferous(307-298 Ma) granitic magmatism from Kalamaili fault zone have been recognized by LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating. They are both metaluminous highly fractionated I-type and belong to the high-K calc-alkaline. The granitoids for early Carboniferous have zircon εHf(t) values of-5.1 to +8.5 with Hf model ages(TDM2) of 1.78-0.83 Ga, suggesting a mixed magma source of juvenile material with old continental crust. Furthermore, those for late Carboniferous have much younger heterogeneous zircon εHf(t) values(+5.1 to +13.6) with Hf model ages(TDM2=1.03-0.45 Ga) that are also indicative of juvenile components with a small involvement of old continental crust. Based on whole-rock geochemical and zircon isotopic features, these high-K granitoids were derived from melting of heterogeneous crustal sources or through mixing of old continental crust with juvenile components and minor AFC(assimilation and fractional crystallization). The juvenile components probably originated from underplated basaltic magmas in response to asthenospheric upwelling. These Carboniferous highly fractionated granites in the Kalamaili fault zone were probably emplaced in a post-collisional extensional setting and suggested vertical continental crustal growth in the southern CAOB, which is the same or like most granitoids in CAOB. This study provides new evidence for determining the post-accretionary evolution of the southern CAOB. | 19 | Long-term survival for spontaneous rupture of hepatocellular carcinoma treated with hepatectomy显示文摘Objective:To determine the prognostic factors of ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and report the management of patients with spontaneous rupture of HCC in a single center during a 5-year period and to evaluate one-stage hepatectomy.Methods:A series of 4,209 patients with HCC were collected at Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital from April 2002 to November 2006,of whom 200 patients(4.8%) with ruptured HCC were studied retrospectively regarding their clinical characteristics and prognostic factors.The one-stage therapeutic approach to manage ruptured HCC consisted of initial management by conservative method,transarterial embolization(TAE) or surgical hepatectomy.Results of various treatments were evaluated and compared in the randomly selected 202 patients with no history of rupture during the same study period.Results:A total of 200 patients with spontaneous rupture of HCC were studied who underwent surgical treatment(n=105),TAE 33 and conservative treatment(ConT 62).A multivariate analysis using the Cox hazard regression model(including all the patients;n=200) identified surgical hepatectomy as the only independent factor determining a relatively long survival period(P<0.0001).On the other hand,in a further analysis of the patients in whom surgical hepatectomy was successfully performed(n=105),which identified a maximum tumor size exceeding 6 cm as significant determinants of a poor 12-month(P=0.036),and a multivariate analysis did not identify as any inverse independent factor determining relatively long-term survival,only a maximum tumor size exceeding 6 cm exhibited a tendency toward being a determinant factor(P=0.083).Conclusion:Considering the high propensity to spontaneous rupture,as long as preoperatively clinical evaluation meet surgery requirements,elective one-stage hepatectomy for patients with ruptured HCC is the first treatment option.Prolonged survival could be achieved in selected patients with hepatic resection,although the survival results were inferior to those of the patients who did not have the complication of rupture. | Zhu Qian Yan Jianjun Zhang Xianghua Cao Jie Huang Liang Li Jing Shen Jun Zhou Feiguo Yan Yiqun | 2012 | Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2012,27,3: | 2 |
| 20 | Role of ammonium sulfate in sulfurization flotation of azurite:Inhibiting the formation of copper sulfide colloid and its mechanism显示文摘In this study,the role of(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)during the sulfurization of azurite and its response to flotation were investigated.The flotation results showed that adding(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)prior to sulfurization decreased the formation of colloid in flotation pulp,and the floatability of the suppressed azurite caused by excess sodium sulfide was restored.After adding(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)prior to sulfurization,the formation of Cu(NH_(3))_(n) ^(2+)intermediate products changed the path of the sulfurization reaction,which slowed the direct impact of HSon the azurite surface.The nucleation rate was reduced,and the growth of copper sulfide crystal was improved.Covellite(syn,CuS)with larger crystal grains was formed on the azurite surface,thereby enhancing the mechanical stability of copper sulfide products onto the mineral surface.Therefore,the generated copper sulfide colloid significantly reduced,ultimately promoting the effective adsorption of xanthate on the azurite surface. | Jinpeng Cai Chao Su Yinyu Ma Xingcai Yu Rong Peng Jiangli Li Xiaolin Zhang Jianjun Fang Peilun Shen Dianwen Liu | 2022 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,3: | 2 |
