| 1 | Cylindrical vector beam-excited frequency-tunable second harmonic generation in a plasmonic octamer显示文摘We report a method to tune the second harmonic generation(SHG) frequency of a metallic octamer by employing cylindrical vector beams as the excitation. Our method exploits the ability to spatially match the polarization state of excitations with the fundamental target plasmonic modes, enabling flexible control of the SHG resonant frequency.It is found that SHG of the octamer is enhanced over a broad band(400 nm) by changing the excitation from the linearly polarized Gaussian beam to radially and azimuthally polarized beams. | 3 | Magnetic plasmon resonances in nanostructured topological insulators for strongly enhanced light-MoS_(2) interactions显示文摘Magnetic resonances not only play crucial roles in artificial magnetic materials but also offer a promising way for light control and interaction with matter.Recently,magnetic resonance effects have attracted special attention in plasmonic systems for overcoming magnetic response saturation at high frequencies and realizing high-performance optical functionalities.As novel states of matter,topological insulators(TIs)present topologically protected conducting surfaces and insulating bulks in a broad optical range,providing new building blocks for plasmonics.However,until now,high-frequency(e.g.visible range)magnetic resonances and related applications have not been demonstrated in TI systems.Herein,we report for the first time,to our knowledge,a kind of visible range magnetic plasmon resonances(MPRs)in TI structures composed of nanofabricated Sb_(2)Te_(3) nanogrooves.The experimental results show that the MPR response can be tailored by adjusting the nanogroove height,width,and pitch,which agrees well with the simulations and theoretical calculations.Moreover,we innovatively integrated monolayer MoS_(2) onto a TI nanostructure and observed strongly reinforced light-MoS_(2) interactions induced by a significant MPR-induced electric field enhancement,remarkable compared with TI-based electric plasmon resonances(EPRs).The MoS_(2) photoluminescence can be flexibly tuned by controlling the incident light polarization.These results enrich TI optical physics and applications in highly efficient optical functionalities as well as artificial magnetic materials at high frequencies. | Hua Lu Zengji Yue Yangwu Li Yinan Zhang Mingwen Zhang Wei Zeng Xuetao Gan Dong Mao Fajun Xiao Ting Mei Weiyao Zhao Xiaolin Wang Min Gu Jianlin Zhao | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 3 |
| 4 | Selective excitation of a three-dimensionally oriented single plasmonic dipole显示文摘We experimentally demonstrate a scheme to deterministically excite a three-dimensionally oriented electric dipole in a single Au nanosphere by using a tightly focused radially polarized beam whose focal field possesses polarization states along three-dimensional(3D) orientations owing to the spatial overlap between longitudinal and radial electric field components. Experiment observations indicate that the orientation of an excited dipole moment gradually changes from out-of-plane to in-plane when the nanosphere is moved away from the beam center, which is reconfirmed by full-wave simulations. Moreover, rigorous calculation based on Mie theory reveals that a reduced effective ambient permittivity accompanies the rotation of the dipole moment, leading to a blue-shifted and narrowed resonance peak. | 5 | Inhibiting Ice Accumulation on Conductors by Using Sheath Treated with Super-hydrophobic Surfaces显示文摘Ice accumulation on transmission lines often leads to great damage to power systems.Super-hydrophobic surfaces are proposed to inhibit ice accumulation on electrical power equipment.A novel anti-icing method was presented for conductors with super-hydrophobic sleeves.The super-hydrophobic sleeves were prepared by applying polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and nano-silica hybrid coating on the outer surface of polyethylen terephthalate(PET) sleeves.Hydrophobicity and ice adhesion strength of the super-hydrophobic surface were investigated.Ice accumulation experiments were carried out on ordinary conductors,super-hydrophobic coated conductors,PET sleeve-covered conductors,and super-hydrophobic PET sleeve-covered conductors.Ice accumulation morphology,accumulated ice weight,and the icicle length of these four types of conductors were studied and analyzed.At the end of the 3 h ice accumulation experiment,the ice weight and icicle length on the conductor with super-hydrophobic PET sleeve was only approximately one tenth and one seventh of that on the untreated conductor respectively.Furthermore,the water contact angles of super-hydrophobic coated aluminum surface and super-hydrophobic coated PET sleeve were about 163o in average.The results indicate that the super-hydrophobic coating is effective in inhibiting ice accumulation on conductors.However,the use of a super-hydrophobic PET sleeve is a significantly more effective method,comparing with the application of a super-hydrophobic coating directly on the conductor. | LI Jian GONG Yiyu LI Yong HU Jianlin SUN Caixin XIAO Daibo | 2013 | 高电压技术2013,39,10: | 2 |

| 19 | 3D Free-Standing Carbon Nanofibers Modified by Lithiophilic Metals Enabling Dendrite-Free Anodes for Li Metal Batteries显示文摘Li metal with high-energy density is considered as the most promising anode for the next-generation rechargeable Li metal batteries;however,the growth of Li dendrites seriously hinders its practical application.Herein,3D free-standing carbon nanofibers modified by lithiophilic metal particles(CNF/Me,Me=Sn,Fe,Co)are obtained in situ by the electrospinning method.Benefiting from the lithophilicity,the CNF/Me composite may effectively prevent the formation of Li dendrites in the Li metal batteries.The optimized CNF/Sn–Li composite electrode exhibits a stable cycle life of over 2350 h during Li plating/stripping.When matched with typical commercial LiFePO_(4)(LFP)cathode,the LFP//CNF/Sn–Li full cell presents a high initial discharge specific capacity of 139 mAh g^(−1)at 1 C,which remains at 146 mAh g^(−1)after 400 cycles.When another state-of-the-art commercial LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM(811))cathode is used,the assembled NCM//CNF/Sn–Li full cell shows a large initial specific discharge capacity of 206 mAh g^(−1)at substantially enhanced 10 C,which keeps at the good capacity of 99 mAh g^(−1)after 300 cycles.These results are greatly superior to the counterparts with Li as the anodes,indicating the great potential for practical utilization of the advanced CNF/Sn–Li electrode. | Huifeng Zhuang Tengfei Zhang Hong Xiao Xiao Liang Fanchao Zhang Jianlin Deng Qiuming Gao | 2023 | Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,3: | 0 |
