| 1 | Apoptotic extracellular vesicles are metabolized regulators nurturing the skin and hair显示文摘Over 300 billion of cells die every day in the human body,producing a large number of endogenous apoptotic extracellular vesicles(apoEVs).Also,allogenic stem cell transplantation,a commonly used therapeutic approach in current clinical practice,generates exogenous apoEVs.It is well known that phagocytic cells engulf and digest apoEVs to maintain the body’s homeostasis.In this study,we show that a fraction of exogenous apoEVs is metabolized in the integumentary skin and hair follicles.Mechanistically,apoEVs activate the Wnt/β-catenin pathway to facilitate their metabolism in a wave-like pattern.The migration of apoEVs is enhanced by treadmill exercise and inhibited by tail suspension,which is associated with the mechanical force-regulated expression of DKK1 in circulation.Furthermore,we show that exogenous apoEVs promote wound healing and hair growth via activation of Wnt/β-catenin pathway in skin and hair follicle mesenchymal stem cells.This study reveals a previously unrecognized metabolic pathway of apoEVs and opens a new avenue for exploring apoEV-based therapy for skin and hair disorders. | Lan Ma Chider Chen Dawei Liu Zhiqing Huang Jiaqi Li Haixiang Liu Ryan Tsz Kin Kwok Benzhong Tang Bingdong Sui Xiao Zhang Jianxia Tang Xueli Mao Weiying Huang Songtao Shi Xiaoxing Kou | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,1: | 3 |

| 6 | Genomes of 12 fig wasps provide insights into the adaptation of pollinators to fig syconia显示文摘Figs and fig pollinators are one of the few classic textbook examples of obligate pollination mutualism.The specific dependence of fig pollinators on the relatively safe living environment with sufficient food sources in the enclosed fig syconia implies that they are vulnerable to habitat changes.However,there is still no extensive genomic evidence to reveal the evolutionary footprint of this long-term mutually beneficial symbiosis in fig pollinators.In fig syconia,there are also non-pollinator species.The non-pollinator species differ in their evolutionary and life histories from pollinators.We conducted comparative analyses on 11 newly sequenced fig wasp genomes and one previously published genome.The pollinators colonized the figs approximately 66.9 million years ago,consistent with the origin of host figs.Compared with nonpollinators,many more genes in pollinators were subject to relaxed selection.Seven genes were absent in pollinators in response to environmental stress and immune activation.Pollinators had more streamlined gene repertoires in the innate immune system,chemosensory toolbox,and detoxification system.Our results provide genomic evidence for the differentiation between pollinators and nonpollinators.The data suggest that owing to the long-term adaptation to the fig,some genes related to functions no longer required are absent in pollinators. | Jinhua Xiao Xianqin Wei Yi Zhou Zhaozhe Xin Yunheng Miao Hongxia Hou Jiaxing Li Dan Zhao Jing Liu Rui Chen Liming Niu Guangchang Ma Wenquan Zhen Shunmin He Jianxia Wang Xunfan Wei Weihao Dou Zhuoxiao Sui Haikuan Zhang Shilai Xing Miao Shi Dawei Huang | 2021 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,3: | 1 |
| 7 | Cultivated-land change in Mu Us Sandy Land of China before and after the first-stage grain-for-green policy显示文摘Mu Us Sandy Land(MUSL) of China, as a typical eco-fragile and farming-pastoral transitional region, shows great vulnerability to disturbances from cultivation activity. In this region, the conflict between cultivation activity and environmental protection has not attracted great importance until the implementation of China's Grain-for-Green Policy(CGGP) since2000. Here, using Landsat5 TM/Landsat7 ETM+ images from 1990, 2000, and 2010, we monitor the cultivation activity and land-use/cover changes(LUCC) resulting from cultivation activity in the MUSL region. Based on the data from images, we developed a series of databases of cultivated activity-induced LUCC and use them to discuss comparatively the spatio-temporal evolution trends of cultivation activity before and after CGGP implementation. | 9 | Synthesis of ultra-narrow PbTe nanorods with extremely strong quantum confinement显示文摘Monodisperse, high-quality, ultra-narrow PbTe nanorods were synthesized for the first time in a one-pot, hot-injection reaction using trans-2-decenoic acid as the agents for lead precursors and tris(diethylamino)phosphine telluride together with free tris(diethylamino)phosphine as the telluride precursors. High monomer reactivity, rapid nucleation and fast growth rate derived from the new precursors led to the anisotropic growth of PbTe nanocrystals at low reaction temperatures(<150℃). In addition, the aspect ratio of PbTe nanorods could be largely adjusted from 4 to 15 by tuning the Pb to Te precursor molar ratio and reaction temperatures. Moreover, the synthesized ultra-narrow PbTe nanorods exhibited extremely strong quantum confinement and presented unique optical properties. | 10 | Controlling molecular weight of naphthalenediimide-based polymer acceptor P(NDI2OD-T2)for high performance all-polymer solar cells显示文摘A widely-used naphthalenediimide(NDI) based electron acceptor P(NDI2OD-T2) with different numberaverage molecular weight(M_n) of 38(N2200_L), 56(N2200_M), 102(N2200_H) kD a were successfully prepared.The effect of molecular-weight on the performance of all-polymer solar cells based on Poly(5-(5-(4,8-bis(5-decylthiophen-2-yl)-6-methylbenzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithophen-2-yl)thiophen-2-yl)-6,7-difluoro-8-(5-methylthiophen-2-yl)-2,3-bis(3-(octyloxy)phenyl)quinoxaline)(P2F-DE):N2200 was systematically investigated. The results reveal that N2200 with increased Mn show enhanced intermolecular interactions, resulting in improved light absorption and electron mobility. However, the strong aggregation trend of N2200_H can cause unfavorable morphology for exciton dissociation and carrier transport. The blend film using N2200 with moderate Mn actually develops more ideal phase segregation for efficient charge separation and transport, leading to balanced electron/hole mobility and less carrier recombination. Consequently, all-polymer solar cells employing P2F-DE as the electron donor and N2200_M as the electron acceptor show the highest efficiency of 4.81%, outperforming those using N2200_L(3.07%)and N2200_H(3.92%). | 12 | Comparison of an automated digital cell morphology analysis system with manual counting显示文摘Background:Bionovation's CSFA800 is a new automated digital cell imaging analyzer.We evaluated the performance of the CSFA800 by comparing it with artificial peripheral blood white blood cell counting.Methods:According to inclusion and exclusion criteria,131 randomly selected samples(77 abnormal samples and 54 normal samples)were compared.Correlations between automated and manual counting results were analyzed.Manual counting was carried out according to the guidelines of the Association of Clinical and Laboratory Standards.Results:Counts of neutrophils,lymphocytes,monocytes,eosinophils,baso-phils,and immature granulocytes obtained from CSFA800 and artificial methods were linearly and positively correlated,with R values of 0.73,0.65,0.24,0.2,0.4,and 0.63,respectively,all p<0.05.Therefore,correlations be-tween CSFA800 and manual counting are acceptable.Compared with the DI‐60 Automated Digital Cell Morphology System(DI‐60;Sysmex),CSFA800 is more efficient and can analyze 20,000 cells in 1 min.However,the overall accuracy of CSFA800 is not as good as DI‐60,although its counting perfor-mance is better for basophils.Conclusions:The performance of CSFA800 for WBC counts is acceptable,and it displayed good performance for neutrophils,lymphocytes,and imma-ture granulocytes.Compared to DI‐60,CSFA800 is more efficient but has slightly lower overall accuracy.To some extent,CSFA800 is helpful to opti-mize the clinical laboratory workflow and improve the working efficiency of inspectors. | Juan Jiao Xin Yin Jiali Ma Yinglong Xia Jianxia Xu Shaozhe Zhao Jie Liu | 2023 | iLABMED2023,1,1: | 0 |
