| 2 | Tongue coating microbiome as a potential biomarker for gastritis including precancerous cascade显示文摘The development of gastritis is associated with an increased risk of gastric cancer. Current invasive gastritis diagnostic methods are not suitable for monitoring progressIn this work based on 78 gastritis patients and 50 healthy individuals, we observed that the variation of tongue-coating microbiota was associated with the occurrenee and development of gastritis. Twenty-one microbial species were identified for differentiating tongue-coating microbiomes of gastritis and healthy individuals. Pathways such as microbial metabolism in diverse environments, biosynthesis of antibiotics and bacterial chemotaxis were up-regulated in gastritis patients. The abundance of Campylobacter concisus was found associated with the gastric precancerous cascade. Furthermore, Campylobacter concisus could be detected in tongue coating and gastric fluid in a validation cohort containing 38 gastritis patients. | 3 | Synthesis of novel nanomaterials and their application in efficient removal of radionuclides显示文摘With the development of nuclear energy, large amounts of radionuclides are inevitably released into the natural environment. It is necessary to eliminate radionuclides from wastewater for the protection of environment. Nanomaterials have been considered as the potential candidates for the effective and selective removal of radionuclides from aqueous solutions under complicated conditions because of their high specific surface area, large amounts of binding sites, abundant functional groups, pore-size controllable and easily surface modification. This review mainly summarized the recent studies for the synthesis, fabrication and surface modification of novel nanomaterials and their applications in the efficient elimination and solidification of radionuclides,and discussed the interaction mechanisms from batch experiments, spectroscopy analysis and theoretical calculations. | 4 | Expression of Rab25 correlates with the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer显示文摘The objective of this study was to determine the expression of the important vesicle trafficking- regulating factor Rab25 in human gastric cancer tissues, to analyze the correlation between Rab25 protein expression with gastric cancer occurrence and development, and to discuss the correlation of Rab25 protein expression with gastric cancer cell metastasis. The overall aim was to provide experimental evidence that can be used to design future biological treatments of human gastric cancer. Human gastric cancer tissue and the adjacent normal gastric tissue were surgically removed, and immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were used to detect Rab25 protein expression. The correlation between Rab25 protein expression with the development and pathological characteristics of gastric cancer was analyzed. Using RNAi, Rab25 expression was reduced in the gastric cancer cell line MGC80-3, and the changes in MGC80-3 cell invasiveness were then monitored. Immunohistochemistry showed that the Rab25 protein expression rates were 78.21% and 23.08% in gastric carcinoma and the adjacent normal gastric tissue, respectively. Immunohistochemistry and Western blot results showed that Rab25 protein expression in gastric cancer was significantly higher than in adjacent normal gastric tissues (P<0.01). Less differentiated gastric cancer cells had higher expression of Rab25 protein (P<0.01). Gastric carcinomas from patients with a late pathological stage (III-IV) had significantly higher Rab25 protein expression than early stage (I-II) patients (P<0.01). Gastric carcinomas from patients with lymph node metastasis had significantly higher Rab25 protein expression than lymph node metastasis- free patients (P<0.01). Gastric carcinomas from patients with distant metastases had significantly higher Rab25 protein expression than the distant metastasis-negative patients (P<0.01). Rab25 protein expression in gastric cancer was not affected by the patients , sex, age, or tumor size (P>0.05). MGC80-3 cells transfected with Rab25 siRNA had significantly lower Rab25 protein expression (P<0.01) and a significantly lower number of cells that passed through a Transwell chamber compared with non-transfected controls and the transfected control group (P<0.01). | 5 | Poly(amidoxime)-reduced graphene oxide composites as adsorbents for the enrichment of uranium from seawater显示文摘The development of efficient materials for high extraction of uranium(UO22+) from seawater is critical for nuclear energy. Poly(amidoxime)-reduced graphene oxide(PAO/rGO) composites with excellent adsorption capability for UO22+ were synthesized by in situ polymerization of acrylonitrile monomers on GO surfaces, followed by amidoximation treatment with hydroxylamine. The adsorption capacities of PAO/rGO composites for UO22+ reached as high as 872 mg/g at pH 4.0. The as-prepared OGO was characterized by Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). Based on the results of potentiometric acid-base titrations, the total carboxylic acid concentration on OGO surface was calculated to be 3.92 mmol/g, which was much higher than that on GO surface. | 7 | Detection and Analysis of Routine Blood Indexes in Guike Pig显示文摘[Objectives] In this study,routine blood indexes of Guike pig were detected to clarify quantity variation and morphology distribution of different functional cells( red blood cells,white blood cells and platelets),thus providing reference data for immunological evaluation and disease resistance research of Guike pig. [Methods] Blood samples were collected from forty-four 49-day-old healthy Guike pigs( 22 males and 22 females) once a week for seven consecutive weeks to detect routine blood indexes,and the results were compared with routine blood indexes of Landrace pig and Enshi black pig. [Results]Among red blood cell indexes of Guike pig at different day ages,red blood cell count( RBC) and hemoglobin count( HGB) both reached the lowest levels( 6. 85 × 1012/L and 97. 1 g/L)at 70 days of age,which were significantly lower than the corresponding indexes at 49,56,63,84 and 91 days of age( P < 0. 05,similarly hereinafter); mean corpuscular hemoglobin( MCH) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration( MCHC) demonstrated basically the same variation pattern,which both reached the lowest levels( 15. 11 pg and 275. 70 g/L) at 70 days of age and reached the highest levels( 16. 40 pg and 314. 30 g/L) at 91 days of age; hematocrit( HCT),mean corpuscular volume( MCV) and red blood cell distribution width( RDW) exhibited relatively stable changes with no significant differences among different day ages( P > 0. 05,similarly hereinafter). Among white blood cell indexes of Guike pig at different day ages,white blood cell count( WBC) reached the lowest level( 13. 71 × 109/L) at 63 days of age and reached the highest level( 17. 52 × 109/L) at 84 days of age,with significant differences; neutrophil count( NEUT)reached the lowest level( 3. 61 × 109/L) at 70 days of age,which was significantly lower than that at 49,56 and 77 days of age; lymphocyte count( LYMPH) exhibited relatively stable changes and was not significantly affected by the increase in day age. Compared to 35-day-old Landrace pig and 5-month-old Enshi black pig,most routine blood indexes of Guike pig were similar to or ranged between those of Landrace pig and Enshi black pig except HCT,mean platelet volume( MPV),PCT and PDW. | 8 | CFD–DEM–CVD multi-physical field coupling model for simulating particle coating process in spout bed显示文摘Particle coating is a very important step in many industrial production processes as the particle coating layers may fix surfaces with unique advantages. Given the limitation and disadvantages of the existing simulation methods, a coupled CFD–DEM–CVD multi-physical field model for particle-coating simulations has been established taking into account the velocity field, temperature field, concentration field, and deposition model. In this model, gas behavior and chemical reactions are simulated in the CFD frame based on the conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy. The particle behavior is simulated in the DEM frame based on the gas–solid interphase force model and contact force model. The deposition behavior is simulated in the CVD frame based on the particle movement–adhesion–deposition model. The coupled model can be implemented in Fluent-EDEM software with their user definition function and application programming interface. The particle coating process involving the pyrolysis of acetylene was investigated, and the effect of bed temperature and inlet gas velocity on deposition rate and coating efficiency were investigated based on the proposed model with adjustable deposition coefficients. Both the average deposition layer mass and the average deposition layer thickness were found to be proportional to the elapsed time and increased at the rate of about 1.05 × 10^-2 mg/s and 3.45 × 10^-4 mm/s, respectively, setting the inlet gas velocity to 11 m/s and bed temperature to 1680 K. A higher temperature and larger inlet gas velocity lead to a larger deposition rate, but the coating efficiency decreases because of limits imposed by the chemical reaction. At a bed temperature of 1280 K, the average deposition rate is 7.40 × 10?3 mg/s when the inlet gas velocity is set to 11 m/s, which is about double the deposition rate when the inlet gas velocity is set as 5 m/s. | 9 | A Modelling Study of Inter-Annual Variation of Kuroshio Intrusion on the Shelf of East China Sea显示文摘Inter-annual variability of the Kuroshio water intrusion on the shelf of East China Sea (ECS) was simulated with a nested global and Northwest Pacific ocean circulation model.The model analysis reveals the influence of the variability of Kuroshio transport east of Taiwan on the intrusion to the northeast of Taiwan:high correlation (r=0.92) with the on-shore volume flux in the lower layer (50 200 m) ;low correlation (r=0.50) with the on-shore flux in the upper layer (0 50 m) .Spatial distribution of correlations between volume fluxes and sea surface height suggests that inter-annual variability of the Kuroshio flux east of Taiwan and its subsurface water intruding to the shelf lag behind the sea surface height anomalies in the central Pacific at 162 E by about 14 months,and could be related to wind-forced variation in the interior North Pacific that propagates westward as Rossby waves.The intrusion of Kuroshio surface water is also influenced by local winds.The intruding Kuroshio subsurface water causes variations of temperature and salinity of bottom waters on the southern ECS shelf.The influence of the intruding Kuroshio subsurface water extends widely from the shelf slope northeast of Taiwan northward to the central ECS near the 60 m isobath,and northeastward to the region near the 90 m isobath. | LI Jiaxing WEI Hao ZHANG Zhihua LU Youyu | 2013 | Journal of Ocean University of China2013,12,4: | 6 |
| 10 | Xuefuzhuyu decoction for hyperlipidemia: a systematic review and Meta-analysis of randomized clinical trails显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xuefuzhuyu decoction for hyperlipidemia.METHODS:Randomized clinical trials on hyperlipidemia treated by Xuefuzhuyu decoction,either alone or with Western Medicine,were searched in electronic databases.Databases searched were:MEDLINE,Allied and Complementary Medicine Database,EMBASE,The Cochrane Library 2013(Issue4),China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,and Wanfang Database up to 2 May,2013.Study selection,data extraction,quality assessment,and data analysis were conducted according to the Cochranestandards.RESULTS:Six randomized clinical trials involving748 patients(373 patients in the treatment group,375 patients in the control group)were included in the analysis.The studies were of low methodological quality.Meta-analysis indicated that the effect of Xuefuzhuyu decoction on hyperlipidemia was better than that in the control group[n=748,OR=5.07,95%CI(3.40,7.58),P<0.01].Weighted mean differencesin total cholesterol,low-densitylipoprotein cholesterol,triglycerides,and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol were﹣0.79,﹣0.74,﹣0.44,0.16,respectively,and Meta-analysis revealed that the treatment group was better than the control group with 95%CI(﹣1.21,﹣0.36),(﹣0.94,﹣0.55),(﹣0.77,﹣0.11),(0.04,0.27),respectively(all P<0.05).Some adverse events in evaluated studies wererecorded.CONCLUSION:Xuefuzhuyu decoction may be effective for treating hyperlipidemia.The studies we analyzed were of low methodological quality,which indicates that the above findings should be considered cautiously.Therefore,more strictly designed large-scale randomized clinical trials are needed to evaluate the efficacy of Xuefuzhuyu decoction in hyperlipidemia. | Jiangquan Liao Jiaxing Tian Tengfei Li Weijiang Song Weihan Zhao Jinhang Du | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,4: | 5 |

| 13 | Hybrid superhydrophilic-superhydrophobic micro/nanostructures fabricated by femtosecond laserinduced forward transfer for sub-femtomolar Raman detection显示文摘Raman spectroscopy plays a crucial role in biochemical analysis.Recently,superhydrophobic surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)substrates have enhanced detection limits by concentrating target molecules into small areas.However,due to the wet transition phenomenon,further reduction of the droplet contact area is prevented,and the detection limit is restricted.This paper proposes a simple method involving femtosecond laser-induced forward transfer for preparing a hybrid superhydrophilic–superhydrophobic SERS(HS-SERS)substrate by introducing a superhydrophilic pattern to promote the target molecules to concentrate on it for ultratrace detection.Furthermore,the HS-SERS substrate is heated to promote a smaller concentrated area.The water vapor film formed by the contact of the solution with the substrate overcomes droplet collapse,and the target molecules are completely concentrated into the superhydrophilic region without loss during evaporation.Finally,the concentrated region is successfully reduced,and the detection limit is enhanced.The HS-SERS substrate achieved a final contact area of 0.013mm2,a 12.1-fold decrease from the unheated case.The reduction of the contact area led to a detection limit concentration as low as 10−16 M for a Rhodamine 6G solution.In addition,the HS-SERS substrate accurately controlled the size of the concentrated areas through the superhydrophilic pattern,which can be attributed to the favorable repeatability of the droplet concentration results.In addition,the preparation method is flexible and has the potential for fluid mixing,fluid transport,and biochemical sensors,etc. | Xiaodan Ma Lan Jiang Xiaowei Li Bohong Li Ji Huang Jiaxing Sun Zhi Wang Zhijie Xu Liangti Qu Yongfeng Lu Tianhong Cui | 2019 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1: | 3 |
| 14 | Detection of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus in Guangxi Province from 2011 to 2014 and Sequence Analysis of Its M Gene显示文摘Detection of pigs epidemic diarrhea virus( PEDV) was conducted on 331 piglets diarrhea fecal samples collected in Nanning,Yulin and other 12 areas of Guangxi Province from January of 2011 to April of 2014 by the method of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction( RT-PCR). The results showed that the positive samples of PEDV were 210 and the positive rate was 63. 44%. The clone and sequencing of M gene was carried out on 25 positive samples. PEDV reference strains were selected from Gene Bank to conduct the sequence homology alignment analysis and the phylogenetic tree of M gene. The M gene homology and amino acid sequence identity between 25 isolated strains and 51 reference strains were 96. 0%- 99. 6% and 94. 3%- 99. 6%,respectively. The genetic variation analysis of M gene showed that the genetic relationship of PEDV prevalent strains in Guangxi Province from 2013 to 2014 was close to that of the prevalent strains in Beijing,Anhui,Wuhan,Hebei and Guangdong from 2010 to 2013,and which were far from that of the Chinese early isolates CH / S( Gen Bank number: JN547228),vaccine strain CV777( Gen Bank number: AF353511) and Attenuated DR13( Gen Bank number: JQ023162). | 15 | Grazing alters environmental control mechanisms of evapotranspiration in an alpine meadow of the tibetan Plateau显示文摘Aims Evapotranspiration(Et)is an important component of the terrestrial water cycle and is easily affected by external disturbances,such as climate change and grazing.Identifying Et responses to grazing is instructive for determining grazing activity and informative for understanding the water cycle.Methods this study utilized 2 years(2014 and 2017)of eddy covariance data to test how grazing regulated Et for an alpine meadow ecosystem on the tibetan Plateau(tP)by path analysis.Important Findings Radiation dominated Et with a decision coefficient of 64-74%.the soil water content(SWc)worked as the limiting factor in the fenced site.However,in the grazing site,the limiting factor was the vapor pressure deficit(VPD).Grazing had large effects on Et because it greatly affected the water conditions.the SWc and VPD were enhanced by 14.63%and 4.36%in the grazing site,respectively.therefore,sufficient water was supplied to Et,especially during drought,and strengthened the transpiration pull.As a result,a favorable micrometeorological environment was created for Et.Grazing shifted the limiting factor of Et from the SWc to VPD,which weakened the limiting effect of the water conditions on Et and advanced the Et peak time.In addition,grazing altered the compositions of Et by changing the community structure,which directly resulted in an increased Et.In summary,grazing enhanced Et through altering the community structure and micrometeorological environments.the findings of this study further improve our understanding of the driving mechanisms of grazing on Et and will improve our predictions for the global water cycle. | Tingting An Mingjie Xu Tao Zhang Chengqun Yu Yingge Li Ning Chen Jiaxing Zu Junxiang Li Juntao Zhu Yi Sun Tingting Zhao Guirui Yu | 2019 | Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,5: | 3 |

| 20 | A novel specimen preparation method for TJ-1 lunar soil simulant in hollow cylinder apparatus显示文摘Conventional methods for hollow cylinder apparatus (HCA) specimen preparation are not applicable for TJ-1 lunar soil simulant due to its wide particle size distribution. A novel method to prepare uniform TJ-1 specimen for HCA tests is put forward. The method is a combination of the multi-layering dry-rodding method and a new under-compaction criterion in the multi-layer with under-compaction method (UCM). In the novel method, the specimen is prepared with 5 layers by dry-rodding and the UCM is used to determine the height after each layer is compacted. The density uniformity of specimen is evaluated by the freezing method to find out the best under-compaction criterion. Two HCA specimens with the same target density are prepared by the novel method and examined in the tests of pure rotation of the principal stresses. Their conformable mechanical behaviors ascertain the effectiveness of the method to produce uniform and reproducible HCA specimens. Four groups of HCA tests are carried out to investigate the anisotropic and non-coaxial behaviors of TJ-1 lunar soil simulant.
