| 1 | Core-shell nanostructure of single-wall carbon nanotubes and covalent organic frameworks for supercapacitors显示文摘Covalent organic frameworks(COFs) were nano-coated onto single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)by in situ polymerization of TpPa-COFs together with SWCNTs under solvothermal conditions. At the molecular level, the COF/SWCNT interface can be efficiently controlled. Thus, the TpPa-COF-SWCNTs nano-hybrid wire, which combines the excellent conductivity of SWCNTs and the high porosity and good redox activity of TpPa-COFs, was employed as active electrode materials for supercapacitors. | 3 | Effect of valproic acid on endogenous neural stem cell proliferation in a rat model of spinal cord injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:Valproic acid has been reported to decrease apoptosis,promote neuronal differentiation of brain-derived neural stem cells,and inhibit glial differentiation of brain-derived neural stem cells. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of valproic acid on proliferation of endogenous neural stem cells in a rat model of spinal cord injury. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,neuropathological study was performed at Key Laboratory of Trauma,Burrning,and Combined Injury,Research Institute of Surgery,Daping Hospital,the Third Military Medical University of Chinese PLA between November 2005 and February 2007. MATERIALS:A total of 45 adult,Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham surgery(n=5),injury (n=20),and valproic acid(n=20) groups.Valproic acid was provided by Sigma,USA. METHODS:Injury was induced to the T_(10) segment in the injury and valproic acid groups using the metal weight-dropping method.The spinal cord was exposed without contusion in the sham surgery group.Rats in the valproic acid group were intraperitoneally injected with 150 mg/kg valproic acid every 12 hours(twice in total). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Nestin expression(5 mm from injured center) was detected using immunohistochemistry at 1,3 days,1,4,and 8 weeks post-injury. RESULTS:Low expression of nestin was observed in the cytoplasm,but rarely in the white matter of the spinal cord in the sham surgery group.In the injury group,nestin expression was observed in the ependyma and pia mater one day after injury,and expression reached a peak at 1 week(P<0.05). Expression was primarily observed in the ependymal cells,which expanded towards the white and gray matter of the spinal cord.Nestin expression rapidly decreased by 4 weeks post-injury,and had almost completely disappeared by 8 weeks.At 24 hours after spinal cord injury,there was no significant difference in nestin expression between the valproic acid and injury groups.At 1 week, there was a significant increase in the number of nestin-positive cells surrounding the central canal in valproic acid group compared with the injury group(P<0.05).Expression reached a peak by 4 weeks,and it was still present at 8 weeks. | 9 | Unconventional Petroleum Sedimentology:A Key to Understanding Unconventional Hydrocarbon Accumulation显示文摘The commercial exploitation of unconventional petroleum resources(e.g.,shale oil/gas and tight oil/gas)has drastically changed the global energy structure within the past two decades.Sweet-spot intervals(areas),the most prolific unconventional hydrocarbon resources,generally consist of extraordinarily high organic matter(EHOM)deposits or closely associated sandstones/carbonate rocks.The formation of sweet-spot intervals(areas)is fundamentally controlled by their depositional and subsequent diagenetic settings,which result from the coupled sedimentation of global or regional geological events,such as tectonic activity,sea level(lake level)fluctuations,climate change,bottom water anoxia,volcanic activity,biotic mass extinction or radiation,and gravity flows during a certain geological period.Black shales with EHOM content and their associated high-quality reservoir rocks deposited by the coupling of major geological events provide not only a prerequisite for massive hydrocarbon generation but also abundant hydrocarbon storage space.The Ordovician-Silurian Wufeng-Longmaxi shale of the Sichuan Basin,Devonian Marcellus shale of the Appalachian Basin,Devonian-Carboniferous Bakken Formation of the Williston Basin,and Triassic Yanchang Formation of the Ordos Basin are four typical unconventional hydrocarbon systems selected as case studies herein.In each case,the formation of sweet-spot intervals for unconventional hydrocarbon resources was controlled by the coupled sedimentation of different global or regional geological events,collectively resulting in a favorable environment for the production,preservation,and accumulation of organic matter,as well as for the generation,migration,accumulation,and exploitation of hydrocarbons.Unconventional petroleum sedimentology,which focuses on coupled sedimentation during dramatic environmental changes driven by major geological events,is key to improve the understanding of the formation and distribution of sweet-spot intervals(areas)in unconventional petroleum systems. | Caineng Zou Zhen Qiu Jiaqiang Zhang Zhiyang Li Hengye Wei Bei Liu Jianhua Zhao Tian Yang Shifa Zhu Huifei Tao Fengyuan Zhang Yuman Wang Qin Zhang Wen Liu Hanlin Liu Ziqing Feng Dan Liu Jinliang Gao Rong Liu Yifan Li | 2022 | Engineering2022,,11: | 1 |

| 12 | UHRF1/DNMT1—MZF1 axis-modulated intragenic site-specific CpGI methylation confers divergent expression and opposing functions of PRSS3 isoforms in lung cancer显示文摘As confusion mounts over RNA isoforms involved in phenotypic plasticity,aberrant CpG methylation-mediated disruption of alternative splicing is increasingly recognized as a driver of intratumor heterogeneity(ITH).Protease serine 3(PRSS3),possessing four splice variants(PRSS3-SVs;PRSS3-V1—V4),is an indispensable trypsin that shows paradoxical effects on cancer development.Here,we found that PRSS3 transcripts and their isoforms were divergently expressed in lung cancer,exhibiting opposing functions and clinical outcomes,namely,oncogenic PRSS3-V1 and PRSS3-V2 versus tumorsuppressive PRSS3-V3,by targeting different downstream genes.We identified an intragenic CpG island(iCpGI)in PRSS3.Hypermethylation of iCpGI was mediated by UHRF1/DNMT1 complex interference with the binding of myeloid zinc finger 1(MZF1)to regulate PRSS3 transcription.The garlic-derived compound diallyl trisulfide cooperated with 5-aza-2'-deoxycytidine to exert antitumor effects in lung adenocarcinoma cells through site-specific iCpGI demethylation specifically allowing MZF1 to upregulate PRSS3-V3 expression.Epigenetic silencing of PRSS3-V3 via i CpGI methylation(iCpGIm)in BALF and tumor tissues was associated with early clinical progression in patients with lung cancer but not in those with squamous cell carcinoma or inflammatory disease.Thus,UHRF1/DNMT1—MZF1 axismodulated site-specific iCpGIm regulates divergent expression of PRSS3-SVs,conferring nongenetic functional ITH,with implications for early detection of lung cancer and targeted therapies. | Shuye Lin Hanli Xu Lin Qin Mengdi Pang Ziyu Wang Meng Gu Lishu Zhang Cong Zhao Xuefeng Hao Zhiyun Zhang Weimin Ding Jianke Ren Jiaqiang Huang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,5: | 0 |
