| 1 | Synthesis of novel nanomaterials and their application in efficient removal of radionuclides显示文摘With the development of nuclear energy, large amounts of radionuclides are inevitably released into the natural environment. It is necessary to eliminate radionuclides from wastewater for the protection of environment. Nanomaterials have been considered as the potential candidates for the effective and selective removal of radionuclides from aqueous solutions under complicated conditions because of their high specific surface area, large amounts of binding sites, abundant functional groups, pore-size controllable and easily surface modification. This review mainly summarized the recent studies for the synthesis, fabrication and surface modification of novel nanomaterials and their applications in the efficient elimination and solidification of radionuclides,and discussed the interaction mechanisms from batch experiments, spectroscopy analysis and theoretical calculations. | 3 | Polyethyleneimine modified AuPd@PdAu alloy nanocrystals as advanced electrocatalysts towards the oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Designing the low cost, active, durable, and alcohol-tolerant cathode catalysts towards the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) is significant for the large-scale commercialization of direct alcohol fuel cells.Recently, Pd-based nanocrystals have attracted attention as Pt-alternative cathode catalysts towards the ORR in the alkaline electrolyte. Unfortunately, the pristine Pd-based nanocrystals lack the selectivity towards the ORR due to their inherent activity for the alcohol molecule oxidation reaction in the alkaline electrolyte. In this work, polyethyleneimine(PEI) modified Au Pd alloy nanocrystals with Au-rich Au Pd alloy cores and Pd-rich Pd Au alloy shells(AuPd@PdAu-PEI) are successfully synthesized using a traditional chemical reduction method in presence of PEI. The rotating disk electrode(RDE) technique is applied to evaluate the ORR performance of AuPd@PdAu-PEI nanocrystals. | 4 | Grazing alters environmental control mechanisms of evapotranspiration in an alpine meadow of the tibetan Plateau显示文摘Aims Evapotranspiration(Et)is an important component of the terrestrial water cycle and is easily affected by external disturbances,such as climate change and grazing.Identifying Et responses to grazing is instructive for determining grazing activity and informative for understanding the water cycle.Methods this study utilized 2 years(2014 and 2017)of eddy covariance data to test how grazing regulated Et for an alpine meadow ecosystem on the tibetan Plateau(tP)by path analysis.Important Findings Radiation dominated Et with a decision coefficient of 64-74%.the soil water content(SWc)worked as the limiting factor in the fenced site.However,in the grazing site,the limiting factor was the vapor pressure deficit(VPD).Grazing had large effects on Et because it greatly affected the water conditions.the SWc and VPD were enhanced by 14.63%and 4.36%in the grazing site,respectively.therefore,sufficient water was supplied to Et,especially during drought,and strengthened the transpiration pull.As a result,a favorable micrometeorological environment was created for Et.Grazing shifted the limiting factor of Et from the SWc to VPD,which weakened the limiting effect of the water conditions on Et and advanced the Et peak time.In addition,grazing altered the compositions of Et by changing the community structure,which directly resulted in an increased Et.In summary,grazing enhanced Et through altering the community structure and micrometeorological environments.the findings of this study further improve our understanding of the driving mechanisms of grazing on Et and will improve our predictions for the global water cycle. | Tingting An Mingjie Xu Tao Zhang Chengqun Yu Yingge Li Ning Chen Jiaxing Zu Junxiang Li Juntao Zhu Yi Sun Tingting Zhao Guirui Yu | 2019 | Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,5: | 3 |

| 13 | Engineered extracellular vesicles for delivery of siRNA promoting targeted repair of traumatic spinal cord injury显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)is a severe disease of the nervous system that causes irreparable damage and loss of function,for which no effective treatments are available to date.Engineered extracellular vesicles(EVs)carrying therapeutic molecules hold promise as an alternative SCI therapy depending on the specific functionalized EVs and the appropriate engineering strategy.In this study,we demonstrated the design of a drug delivery system of peptide CAQK-modified,siRNA-loaded EVs(C-EVs-siRNA)for SCI-targeted therapy.The peptide CAQK was anchored through a chemical modification to the membranes of EVs isolated from induced neural stem cells(iNSCs).CCL2-siRNA was then loaded into the EVs through electroporation.The modified EVs still maintained the basic properties of EVs and showed favorable targeting and therapeutic effects in vitro and in vivo.C-EVs-siRNA specifically delivered siRNA to the SCI region and was taken up by target cells.C-EVs-siRNA used the inherent anti-inflammatory and neuroreparative functions of iNSCs-derived EVs in synergy with the loaded siRNA,thus enhancing the therapeutic effect against SCI.The combination of targeted modified EVs and siRNA effectively regulated the microenvironmental disturbance after SCI,promoted the transformation of microglia/macrophages from M1 to M2 and limited the negative effects of the inflammatory response and neuronal injury on functional recovery in mice after SCI.Thus,engineered EVs are a potentially feasible and efficacious treatment for SCI,and may also be used to develop targeted treatments for other diseases. | Yuluo Rong Zhuanghui Wang Pengyu Tang Jiaxing Wang Chengyue Ji Jie Chang Yufeng Zhu Wu Ye Jianling Bai Wei Liu Guoyong Yin Lipeng Yu Xuhui Zhou Weihua Cai | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,5: | 1 |

| 19 | Engineering surface oxygen vacancy of mesoporous CeO_(2) nanosheets assembled microspheres for boosting solar-driven photocatalytic performance显示文摘Surface oxygen vacancy defects of mesoporous CeO_(2)nanosheets assembled microspheres(D-CeO_(2))are engineered by polymer precipitation,hydrothermal and surface hydrogenation strategies.The resultant D-CeO_(2)with a main pore diameter of 9.3 nm has a large specific surface area(~102.3 m^(2)/g)and high thermal stability.The mesoporous nanosheets assembled microsphere structure prevents the nanosheets from aggregation,which is beneficial to effective mass transfer and shortens the migration distance of charge carriers.After surface hydrogenation,the photoresponse extends to long wavelength region,combing with the band gap from 2.63 eV reduced to 2.39 eV.Under AM 1.5 G radiation,the photocatalytic degradation rate of tetracycline(TC)can be up to 99.99%,which is three times as high as that of pristine CeO_(2)microspheres.The excellent solar-driven photocatalytic performance can be attributed to the efficient surface oxygen vacancy engineering and the mesoporous nanosheets assembled microsphere structure,which narrows the band gap,shortens the migration distance of carriers,promotes the spatial separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs and favors mass transfer.The strategy provides new insights for fabricating other high-efficient oxide photocatalysts. | Decai Yang Yachao Xu Kai Pan Chuanxin Yu Jiaxing Wu Mingxia Li Fan Yang Yang Qu Wei Zhou | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1: | 0 |
