| 1 | Sensitivity analysis of dimensionless parameters for physical simulation of water-flooding reservoir显示文摘A numerical approach to optimize dimensionless parameters of water-flooding porous media flows is proposed based on the analysis of the sensitivity factor defined as the variation ration of a target function with respect to the variation of dimensionless parameters. A complete set of scaling criteria for water-flooding reservoir of five-spot well pattern case is derived from the 3-D governing equations, involving the gravitational force, the capillary force and the compressibility of water, oil and rock. | 2 | A new free-hand pedicle screw placement technique with reference to the supraspinal ligament显示文摘We sought to compare the safety and accuracy of a new free-hand pedicle screw placement technique to that of the conventional technique.One hundred fifty-three consecutive adult patients with simple fracture in the thoracic or/and lumbar spine were alternately assigned to either the new free-hand or the conventional group.In the new free-hand technique group,preoperative computerized tomography(CT) images were used to calculate the targeted medial-lateral angle of each pedicle trajectory and the pedicle screw was inserted perpendicular to the corresponding supraspinal ligament.In the conventional technique group,the medial-lateral and cranial-caudal angle of each pedicle trajectory was determined by intraoperatively under fluoroscopic guidance.The accuracy rate of pedicle screw placement,the time of intraoperative fluoroscopy,the operating time and the amount of blood loss during operation were respectively compared.All screws were analyzed by using intraoperative radiographs,intraoperative triggered electromyography(EMG) monitoring data,postoperative CT data and clinical outcomes.The accuracy rate of pedicle screw placement in the new free-hand technique group and the conventional technique group was 96.3% and 94.2%(P < 0.05),respectively.The intraoperative fluoroscopy time of the new technique group was less than that of the conventional technique group(5.37 seconds vs.8.79 seconds,P < 0.05).However,there was no statistical difference in the operating time and the amount of blood loss during operation(P > 0.05).Pedicle screw placement with the free-hand technique which keeps the screw perpendicular to the supraspinal ligament is an accurate,reliable and safe technique to treat simple fracture in the thoracic or lumbar spine. | Juming Li Hong Zhao Hao Xie Lipeng Yu Jifu Wei Min Zong Feng Chen Ziqiang Zhu Ning Zhang Xiaojian Cao | 2014 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,1: | 7 |

| 6 | Effects of flavonoids derived from Taxus yunnanensis on p-glycoprotein and cytochrome P450 3A4显示文摘The intestinal uptake of paclitaxel is hampered by trans-membrane efflux transporters such as P-glycoprotein(P-gp),and paclitaxel is mainly metabolized by cytochrome P4503A4(CYP3A4)presented in the liver.Our previous results demonstrated that flavonoids extracted from Taxus yunnanensis could improve the oral absorption of paclitaxel.The current study was purposed to investigate the effects of the flavonoid extracts on P-gp and CYP3A4 in vitro.The expression and activity of P-gp were detected by western blotting and intracellular rhodamine 123 accumulation assay in Caco-2 cells treated with the flavonoids extract.The expression of CYP3A4 was investigated by western blotting in mouse primary hepatocytes and the activity of CYP3A4 was detected by LC-MS/MS method using rat liver microsomes.Our results showed that the flavonoid extracts from T.yunnanensis could inhibit P-gp activity and concurrently decrease the expression and activity of CYP3A4.In conclusion,activity of P-gp and CYP3A4 could be inhibited by flavonoids extracted from T.yunnanensis which might be potential candidates for development of oral formulation of paclitaxel. | Jifu Li Dake Cai Huichang Bi Jing Jin Min Huang | 2013 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2013,8,3: | 2 |

| 9 | Plasma biomarkers and plaque strain predict long-term cardiovascular events in patients with acute coronary syndrome显示文摘To test whether circulating and intracoronary biomarkers and coronary plaque strain have additive values to Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events(GRACE) score for predicting long-term cardiovascular events in ACS patients. One hundred ACS patients were enrolled and the GRACE score and plasma levels and intracoronary gradients of a number of biomarkers were measured. Coronary plaque burden and morphology in non-critical stenotic plaques were determined by intravascular ultrasound(IVUS) technique, and the maximal shear strain(SSmax) and maximal area strain(ASmax) were determined by intravascular ultrasound elastography(IVUSE) technique. Patients were followed for cardiovascular events and the predictive values of clinical characteristics, plasma biomarkers and plaque parameters were compared with GRACE score, and the incremental values of these measurements to the GRACE score were assessed. GRACE score, plasma biomarkers and plaque strain were independent predictors of cardiovascular events. Combination of GRACE score, plasma biomarkers and plaque strains significantly improved the predictive value of the GRACE score alone with the receiver-operating characteristic area increased from0.457 to 0.667(P=0.014). | 12 | Burst detection in turbulent channel flows based on large eddy simulation databases显示文摘Reliable turbulent channel flow databases at several Reynolds numbers have been established by large eddy simulation (LES), with two of them validated by comparing with typical direct numerical simulation (DNS) results. Furthermore, the statistics, such as velocity profile, turbulent intensities and shear stress, were obtained as well as the temporal and spatial structure of turbulent bursts. Based on the LES databases available, the conditional sampling methods are used to detect the structures of burst events. A method to deterimine the grouping parameter from the probability distribution function (pdf) curve of the time separation between ejection events is proposed to avoid the errors in detected results. And thus, the dependence of average burst period on thresholds is considerably weakened. Meanwhile, the average burst-to- bed area ratios are detected. | 13 | Assessment of Building Physical Vulnerability in Earthquake‑Debris Flow Disaster Chain显示文摘Large earthquakes not only directly damage buildings but also trigger debris fows,which cause secondary damage to buildings,forming a more destructive earthquake-debris fow disaster chain.A quantitative assessment of building vulnerability is essential for damage assessment after a disaster and for pre-disaster prevention.Using mechanical analysis based on pushover,a physical vulnerability assessment model of buildings in the earthquake-debris fow disaster chain is proposed to assess the vulnerability of buildings in Beichuan County,China.Based on the specifc sequence of events in the earthquake-debris fow disaster chain,the seismic vulnerability of buildings is 79%,the fow impact and burial vulnerabilities of damaged buildings to debris fow are 92%and 28%respectively,and the holistic vulnerability of buildings under the disaster chain is 57%.By comparing diferent vulnerability assessment methods,we observed that the physical vulnerability of buildings under the disaster chain process is not equal to the statistical summation of the vulnerabilities to independent hazards,which implies that the structural properties and vulnerability of buildings have changed during the disaster chain process.Our results provide an integrated explanation of building vulnerability,which is essential for understanding building vulnerability in earthquake-debris fow disaster chain and building vulnerability under other disaster chains. | Hao Zheng Zhifei Deng Lanlan Guo Jifu Liu Lianyou Liu Tiewei Li Huan Zheng Tao Zheng | 2023 | International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2023,14,4: | 0 |

| 17 | Polymeric Hydrogel Nanocapsules: A Thermo and pH Dual-responsive Carrier for Sustained Drug Release显示文摘Hydrogel capsules show attractive prospects in drug delivery recently because of high drug loading and sustained release behavior. In this study we reported a simple and convenient route to fabricate poly(acrylic acid)-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PAA-PNIPAm) hydrogel capsules by using hydroxypropylcellulose-poly(acrylic acid)(HPC-PAA) complexes as the templates. The capsules showed a high drug loading(~280% to the weight of capsules) for Doxorubicin hydrochloride. The release of drug from the capsules was responsive to the temperature and p H of the surroundings, showing a low-rate but sustained release behavior favorable for low-toxic and long-term therapy. | 18 | Ultrasensitive detection of IgE levels based on magnetic nanocapturer linked immunosensor assay for early diagnosis of cancer显示文摘Rapid and accurate detection of immunoglobulin E(Ig E) in serum and reduction of serum dosage are of great significance for clinical detection. Herein, we described a rapid magnetic separation of Ig E from patient serum based on Fe3 O4@Si O2-NTA@026 sdab as the capture probe and multiple horseradish peroxidase(HRP)-labeled antibodies linked gold nanoparticles(Au NPs) as chemiluminescence(CL) signal amplifier for ultrasensitive detection of total Ig E. Results showed that the limit of detection of our immunosensor system in serum samples was 0.03 k U/L, which is lowest in comparison with current methods, and far lower than that of Immuno CAP for Ig E detection(0.1 k U/L). Furthermore, our immunosensor possessed satisfied repeatability and accuracy, as well as good stability. In comparison with the Immuno CAP for the quantitative detection of Ig E, highly consistent results were achieved in 20 serum samples. Specially, this method was also successfully utilized for assessing the Ig E traces in breast cancer patients,which provides a new idea for the diagnosis of early cancer.
