1Effect of extrusion speed on microstructure and mechanical properties of the Mg-Ca binary alloy显示文摘This work reported the effect of extrusion speeds on the microstructures and mechanical properties of Mg-Ca binary alloy.The results showed that yield strength of the as-extruded Mg-1.2wt.%Ca alloys decrease from∼360MPa to∼258MPa as the ram speed increases from 0.4mm/s to 2.4 mm/s,and the elongation increases from∼3.9%to∼12.2%.The microstructure changes from bimodal grain feature to the complete dynamical recrystallization(DRX)with increase of the extrusion speed.The ultrafine DRXed grains in size of∼0.85μm,the numerous nano-Mg_(2)Ca particles dispersing along the grain boundaries and interiors,as well as the high density of residual dislocations,should account for the high strength.It is believed that the high degree of dynamic recrystallization and the resulting texture randomization play the critical roles in the ductility enhancement of the high-speed extruded Mg alloys.Jingren Li Aiyue Zhang Hucheng Pan Yuping Ren Zhuoran Zeng Qiuyan Huang Changlin Yang Lifeng Ma Gaowu Qin 2021Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,4:9
2Low-cost and high-strength Mg-Al-Ca-Zn-Mn wrought alloy with balanced ductility显示文摘A novel low-cost Mg-Al-Ca-Zn-Mn-based alloy was developed to simultaneously improve its strength and ductility.The high yield strength of 411 MPa and the high elongation to failure of~8.9%have been achieved in the as-extruded Mg-1.3Al-1.2Ca-0.5Zn-0.6Mn(wt%)sample.Microstructure characterizations showed that the high strength is mainly associated with the ultra-fined dynamically recrystallized(DRXed)grains.Moreover,high-density dislocations in the un-DRXed region and nano-precipitates are distributed among theα-Mg matrix.The high ductility property can be ascribed to the high volume fraction of DRXed grains with a much randomized texture,as well as the formations of high-density subgrains in the un-DRXed grain regions.Kun Yang Hucheng Pan Sen Du Man Li Jingren Li Hongbo Xie Qiuyan Huang Huajun Mo Gaowu Qin 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,7:3
3Effects of Different Stretching Routes on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of AZ31B Magnesium Alloy Sheets显示文摘AZ31B magnesium alloy sheets were stretched by 13% along three different routes: the extrusion direction(Route A), 45° to the extrusion direction(Route B) and the transverse direction(Route C), and then were annealed at 350 °C for 60 min. The microstructure and texture, tensile mechanical properties and formability were investigated at room temperature. The results indicated that all the three stretched samples exhibited weakened basal texture, compared with the as-received sheet due to static recrystallization.By comparison, Route B processed sample showed the most dispersive basal texture, while Route A processed specimen exhibited the lowest basal intensity. Improved mechanical properties for the stretched and annealed sheets with different stretching routes were achieved. 4Multiscale Simulation of a Novel Leaf-vein-inspired Gradient Porous Wick Structure显示文摘With the rapid development of photoelectric products,their miniaturization and high integration have intensified the problem of heat dissipation.Vapor chamber is a special type of heat pipe that is a particularly effective heat spreader for electronics.In this paper,a novel Leaf-vein-inspired Gradient Porous(LGP)wick structure is designed macroscopically and the LGP design is verified using a general model.After that,the gradient porous design Model IGis selected for the subsequent mesoscopic modeling.Then a connected 2D random LGP wick model presenting porosity gradient is generated by the expanded quartet structure generation set method.Using the mesoscopic Lattice Boltzmann Method(LBM),the flow and heat transfer in the LGP wick model is analyzed.For verification,FLUENT based on the macroscopic finite volume method is used as a benchmark.Finally,the microscopic flow behaviors in the 2D random LGP wick model are analyzed using the LBM developed.Observing the entire flowing process from the inlet to outlet,it is possible to explain the mesoscopic and macroscopic phenomena well based on the microscopic flow behaviors.Yuanqiang Luo Wangyu Liu Jingren Gou 2019Journal of Bionic Engineering2019,16,5:2
5Grain refinement of Mg-3Y alloy using Mg-10Al_(2)Y master alloy显示文摘The as-extruded Mg-10Al_(2)Y master alloy was chosen as a novel grain refiner for as-cast Mg-3Y alloy.Contrast samples of cast Mg-3Y alloy added with pure Al and Mg-Zr master alloy grain refiners were prepared under the same conditions.In this study,the influence of addition amounts of Al_(2)Y and holding time on grain refinement efficiency as well as tensile properties was investigated.And the grain refining ability of the Al_(2)Y particles was systematically evaluated in terms of the addition amounts,number density of the Al_(2)Y particles and holding time.The finest grains are achieved at 2 wt% Al_(2)Y addition amount,which corresponds to number density of the polygonal Al_(2)Y particles of 420-460 mm^(-2).The Mg-10Al_(2)Y master alloy has significant refinement performance and no refining recession occurs at the holding time within 60 min,or the settling time up to 180 min.Grain refinement and the second phase strengthening of uniformly distributed Al_(2)Y particles contribute to the simultaneous enhancement on both strength and elongation of Mg-3Y alloy.Zhongtao Jiang Xiang Meng Bin Jiang Shan Jiang Jiahong Dai Jingren Dong Yongfeng Ding 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,7:2

9Epitaxial growth of large area ZrS_(2)2D semiconductor films on sapphire for optoelectronics显示文摘Recently,group-IVB semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)of ZrS_(2) have attracted significant research interest due to its layered nature,moderate band gap,and extraordinary physical properties.Most device applications require a deposition of high quality large-area uniform ZrS_(2) single crystalline films,which has not yet been achieved.In this work,for the first time,we demonstrate the epitaxial growth of high quality large-area uniform ZrS_(2) films on c-plane sapphire substrates by chemical vapor deposition.An atomically sharp interface is observed due to the supercell matching between ZrS_(2) and sapphire,and their epitaxial relationship is found to be ZrS_(2)(0001)[1010]||Al_(2)O_(3)(0001)[1120].The epitaxial ZrS_(2) film exhibits n-type semiconductor behavior with a room temperature mobility of 2.4 cm^(2)·V^(−1)·s^(−1),and the optical phonon is the dominant scattering mechanism at room temperature or above.Furthermore,the optoelectronic applications of ZrS_(2) films are demonstrated by fabricating photodetector devices.The ZrS_(2) photodetectors exhibit the excellent comprehensive performance,such as a light on/off ratio of 106 and a specific detectivity of 2.6×10^(12) Jones,which are the highest values compared with the photodetectors based on other group-IVB two-dimensional TMDs.Yan Tian Yong Cheng Jidong Huang Siyu Zhang Hao Dong Gaokai Wang Jingren Chen Jinliang Wu Zhigang Yin Xingwang Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:1

13Direct growth of hexagonal boron nitride films on dielectric sapphire substrates by pulsed laser deposition for optoelectronic applications显示文摘Recently,hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN),an ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor,has attracted considerable atten-tion owing to its excellent properties.In thin films grown on metal catalysts,contamination and damage induced by a transfer process cannot be avoided.Therefore,synthesizing h-BN films on non-catalytic dielectric substrates is desirable for electronic applications.In this study,we demonstrate the direct growth of high-quality h-BN films with a controllable thickness on sapphire substrates by using the pulsed laser deposition(PLD)technique.The effects of the deposition conditions and laser parameters on the growth of the h-BN films are systematically investigated by evaluating their characteristic Raman peaks.Among the various growth parameters studied,the substrate temperature has the greatest influence on the crystalline quality of the h-BN films,and the optimal pres-sure varies depending on the target-substrate distance.The h-BN film grown under optimal conditions exhibits a narrow Raman line width of∼30 cm^(−1),indicating a high crystalline quality.The photodetectors fabricated from the PLD-grown h-BN films exhibit superior deep-ultraviolet detection performance with a large on/offratio of>104,high photoresponsivity,and a sharp cut-offwavelength of 220 nm.This study presents the possibility of producing high-quality h-BN films by applying PLD on dielectric substrates for optoelectronic applications.Gaokai Wang Jingren Chen Junhua Meng Zhigang Yin Ji Jiang Yan Tian Jingzhen Li Jinliang Wu Peng Jin Xingwang Zhang 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,6:1

16Achieving high strength above 400 MPa in conventionally extruded Mg-Ca-Zn ternary alloys显示文摘In this work,the role of Zn content in modifying the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Mg-1.2Ca-xZn(x=0.6,2.0 wt.%,named as XZ10-0 and ZX21-0,respectively)based alloys was studied,and it is found that the yield strength(YS)of the present Mg-(Zn)-Ca based alloys increases monotonically with increasing the Zn concentration,from~339 MPa in low-Zn content XZ10-0 sample to~406 MPa in high-Zn content ZX21-0 sample.Microstructure characterization shows that the enhanced YS can be attributed to the grain refinement,fine and dispersed nano-phases,a large number of lamellae structures,and the decrease of recrystallization fraction.TEM results show that the formation mechanism for the ultra-fine grains in present Mg-(Zn)-Ca based alloys can be attributed to the co-segregation of Ca and Zn elements at the grain boundary,as well as the dynamic nanoprecipitations.When the Zn content is high,the nano-phases in ZX21-0 sample belong to the Ca;Mg;Zn;ternary phases,which exert much higher thermal stability than the nano-sized Mg2 Ca binary phases formed in the low-Zn content XZ10-0 sample.The finer size and higher number density of the nano-Mg Zn Ca phases lead to the much finer grain size and sub-grain lamellae thickness in ZX21-0 sample,which thus results in the higher YS of~406 MPa.DU Sen YANG Kun LI Man LI JingRen REN YuPing HUANG QiuYan PAN HuCheng QIN GaoWu 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,3:1
