1Anticorrosion Performance of Epoxy Coatings Containing Small Amount of Inherently Conducting PEDOT/PSS on Hull Steel in Seawater显示文摘Corrosion protection of the hull steel by the conventional epoxy paint containing a small amount of commercial poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/poly(styrene sulfonate)(PEDOT/PSS),which is one of the most popular and successful inherently conducting polymers as the corrosion inhibitor was studied.The corrosion behavior of the samples was investigated in seawater by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and open circuit potential.Scanning electron microscopy was used to observe the surface morphology of the samples after corrosion.It was found that adding a small amount of PEDOT/PSS to the epoxy resin can significantly improve its corrosion protection.Jian Hou Guang Zhu Jingkun Xu Huajian Liu 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,7:9

3Hybrid π-conjugated polymers from dibenzo pentacyclic centers:precursor design,electrosynthesis and electrochromics显示文摘π-Conjugated polymers(CPs)represent one of the quite important and rapidly growing branches of flexible electrochromic materials.Electrosynthesized hybrid CPs employing dibenzo pentacycles(fluorenes,carbazoles,dibenzothiophenes,and dibenzofuran)as the backbones have received considerable attention owing to their special structures and interesting electrochromic performances.Recent studies show that polymers from these structures exhibit decent contrast ratios,favorable coloration efficiencies,low switching voltages,fast response time,excellent stability,and color persistence.Intrinsically,their electrochromic properties significantly depend on fine-tailoring of precursor monomer structures,and polymerization techniques and conditions.This review devotes to showing a clear picture of the research progress of dibenzo pentacycle-centered CPs via electrochemical polymerization,including fluorenes,carbazoles,dibenzothiophenes,and dibenzofuran-based hybrid electrochromic polymers.Critical influences of the tailored precursor structures on their electropolymerization and resultant polymer performances are highlighted,aiming at providing an insight for the development of novel fused ring-based polymer electrochromic materials.Kaiwen Lin Shuai Chen Baoyang Lu Jingkun Xu 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,1:2

5Effect of addition of poly-(ethylene glycol) on electrical conductivity of poly(3,4- ethylenedioxythiophene)- poly(styrenesulfonate) hybrid显示文摘By mixing various concentrations of poly (ethylene glycol), a series of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)- poly(styrenesulfonate) composite thin films were prepared. The electrical conductivity of the PEDOT-PSS/PEG thin films was measured by the four-probe method. Experimental results showed that the inclusion of poly(ethylene glycol) influenced the electrical conductivity of PEDOT-PSS film significantly. With the increase of PEG concentrations, the electrical conductivity sharply increased to reach a maximum and then slowly decreased down. Furthermore, the PEG molecular weight and environment temperature also played important roles on the electrical conductivity of PEDOT-PSS/PEG thin films. 14Research Article Core/hybrid-shell structures boost thermoelectric performance of flexible inorganic/organic nanowire films显示文摘Interface control in inorganic/organic composites has always been regarded as one of the effective means to optimize their thermoelectric(TE)performance,and the past few years have witnessed its development,including carrier-energy filtering and phonon scattering.However,the energy barrier created by the band alignment at the composite interface depends on the Fermi level difference between the organic and inorganic components,which is difficult to be controlled by the common means.Herein,a core/hybrid-shell strategy aiming for efficient interface control is proposed to tune the energy barrier of the inorganic/organic core/shell nanowire interface.The Fermi level of hybrid-shell can be effectively controlled by separating the charge carriers compared to the single-shell composites.The energy barrier of the core/hybrid-shell interface is tuned to an appropriate position,and the energy filtering effect is utilized,resulting in a substantial improvement in power factor and reduction in thermal conductivity for the prepared core/hybrid-shell composites with good air-stability and flexibility.Moreover,both the flexible p type and p-n type TE devices based on the prepared core/hybrid-shell films yield excellent output properties with the maximum power densities of 41 and 45μW·cm^(−2)at a temperature difference of ca.30 K,respectively.This study provides a novel strategy to improve the TE performance of the inorganic/organic composites,displaying great potential for low-power wearable electronics.Changcun Li Xiaoqi Lan Peipei Liu Jingkun Xu Qinglin Jiang Congcong Liu Cheng Liu Fengxing Jiang 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:1

16Synergistic promotion of particulate matter reduction and production performance via adjusting electrochemical reactions in the zinc electrolysis industry显示文摘Heavy particulate matter (PM) pollution and high energy consumption are the bottlenecks of hydrometallurgy, especially in the electrolysis process. Therefore, an urgent need is to explore PM reduction methods with production performance co-benefits. This study presents three PM reduction methods based on controlling operating parameters, i.e., lowering electrolyte temperature, H2SO4 concentration, and current density of the cathode. The optimized conditions were also investigated using the response surface methodology to balance the PM reduction effect and Zn production. The results showed that lowering electrolyte temperature is the most efficient, with an 89.0% reduction in the PM generation flux (GFPM). Reducing H2SO4 concentration led to the minimum side effects on the current efficiency of Zn deposition (CEZn) or power consumption (PC). With the premise of non-deteriorating CEZn and PC, GFPM can be reduced by 86.3% at the optimal condition (electrolyte temperature = 295 K, H2SO4 = 110 g/L, current density = 373 A/m^(2)). In addition, the reduction mechanism was elucidated by comprehensively analyzing bubble characteristics, electrochemical reactions, and surface tension. Results showed that lower electrolyte temperature inhibited the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and compressed gas volume. Lower H2SO4 concentration inhibited the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and reduced electrolyte surface tension. Lower current density inhibited both OER and HER by decreasing the reaction current. The inhibited gas evolutions reduced the microbubbles’ number and size, thereby reducing GFPM. 17Optimization of the Formulation Process of Glucosamine Chondroitin Sulfate Tablets显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to optimize the Formulation Process of glucosamine chondroitin sulfate tablets. [Methods] The orthogonal design with three levels was carried out with microcrystalline cellulose, calcium hydrophosphate and cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone as three factors to optimize the preparation process. [Results] When microcrystalline cellulose 200 mg/tablet, calcium hydrophosphate 150 mg/tablet, and cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone 80 mg/tablet were added, the angle of repose could meet the requirements of tablet pressing, and the dissolution could reach more than 95% in 30 min. The results of the orthogonal test showed that the dissolution effect of self-made tablets was faster than that of commercial products. 18Trapping and Driving Individual Charged Micro-particles in Fluid with an Electrostatic Device显示文摘A variety of micro-tweezers techniques, such as optical tweezers, magnetic tweezers, and dielectrophoresis technique, have been applied intensively in precise characterization of micro/nanoparticles and bio-molecules. They have contributed remarkably in better understanding of working mechanisms of individual sub-cell organelles, proteins, and DNA. In this paper, we present a controllable electrostatic device embedded in a microchannel, which is capable of driving,trapping, and releasing charged micro-particles suspended in microfluid, demonstrating the basic concepts of electrostatic tweezers. Such a device is scalable to smaller size and offers an alternative to currently used micro-tweezers for application in sorting, selecting, manipulating, and analyzing individual micro/nanoparticles. 20Fabrication and applications of van der Waals heterostructures显示文摘Van der Waals heterostructures(vdWHs) are showing considerable potential in both fundamental exploration and practical applications. Built upon the synthetic successes of(two-dimensional) 2D materials, several synthetic strategies of vdWHs have been developed,allowing the convenient fabrication of diverse vdWHs with decent controllability, quality, and scalability. This review first summarizes the current state of the art in synthetic strategies of vdWHs, including physical combination, deposition, solvothermal synthesis, and synchronous evolution. Then three major applications and their representative vdWH devices have been reviewed, including electronics(tunneling field effect transistors and 2D contact),optoelectronics(photodetector), and energy conversion(electrocatalysts and metal ion batteries), to unveil the potentials of vdWHs in practical applications and provide the general design principles of functional vdWHs for different applications. Besides, moiré superlattices based on vdWHs are discussed to showcase the importance of vdWHs as a platform for novel condensed matter physics. Finally, the crucial challenges towards ideal vdWHs with high performance are discussed, and the outlook for future development is presented.
