2Reconsideration of the taxonomy of the marine ciliate Neobakuella aenigmatica Moon et al.,2019(Protozoa,Ciliophora,Hypotrichia)显示文摘The morphology and divisional morphogenesis in a Chinese population of Neobakuella aenigmatica Moon et al.,2019 are reinvestigated.The body size,number and arrangement of parabuccal cirri and development of nuclear nodules in this population are discussed in comparison with closely related genera.The 18S rRNA gene sequence of the Chinese population is identical to that of a Korean population,supporting a distant relationship between N.aenigmatica and the cluster of N.flava and Apobakuella fuse a.We deduce that this may be caused by the differences in the pattern of the parabuccal cirri and the number of parabuccal rows which are important for the phylogeny of Bakuella-like,species.Tengyue Zhang Jingyi Dong Ting Cheng Lili Duan Chen Shao 2020Marine Life Science & Technology2020,2,2:1
3The design of HEPS global timing system显示文摘Purpose The high energy photon source(HEPS)is a 4th generation synchrotron light source under construction by the institute of high energy physics.The accelerator complex consists of a 500-MeV Linac,a full-energy synchrotron booster,a 6-GeV synchrotron storage ring(SR),and three e-beam transport lines for injection and extraction among accelerators.A global timing system(GTS)covers the timing needs for all accelerator,beamline,and experiment systems.The GTS is designed to coordinate the injection processes and various measurements and protections.Most systems require that the RMS jitter of the GTS signal is less than 30 ps,while the trigger jitters for the electron gun and SR injection and extraction kickers are less than 10 ps.Method The HEPS GTS is an event-based timing system based on MicroTCA.4 hardware architecture.The MicroTCA.4300 series products from the micro-research Finland Oy are implemented in the HEPS GTS system.Results and conclusions The RMS jitter,integrated from 1 Hz to 10 MHz,of the 166.6 MHz event clock is 5.489 ps.The RMS jitter of TTL outputs is less than 30 ps.This paper reports the design of the HEPS GTS,which satisfies all of the HEPS physics requirements for timing with preliminary test results shown.Fang Liu Ge Lei Zhe Duan Cai Meng Chenyan Lu Yanhua Shao Xinpeng Ma Nan Gan Yuemei Peng Jianshe Cao Chungming Chu Yanfeng Sui Jingyi Li IHEP 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,3:1
4Feasibility of sentinel lymph node biopsy omission after integration of ^(18)F-FDG dedicated lymph node PET in early breast cancer: a prospective phase II trial显示文摘Objective:Sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB)is currently the standard of care in clinically node negative(cN0)breast cancer.The present study aimed to evaluate the negative predictive value(NPV)of 18F-FDG dedicated lymph node positron emission tomography(LymphPET)in cN0 patients.Methods:This was a prospective phase II trial divided into 2 stages(NCT04072653).In the first stage,cN0 patients underwent axillary LymphPET followed by SLNB.In the second stage,SLNB was omitted in patients with a negative preoperative axillary assessment after integration of LymphPET.Here,we report the results of the first stage.The primary outcome was the NPV of LymphPET to detect macrometastasis of lymph nodes(LN-macro).Results:A total of 189 patients with invasive breast cancer underwent LymphPET followed by surgery with definitive pathological reports.Forty patients had LN-macro,and 16 patients had only lymph node micrometastasis.Of the 131 patients with a negative LymphPET result,16 patients had LN-macro,and the NPV was 87.8%.After combined axillary imaging evaluation with ultrasound and LymphPET,100 patients were found to be both LymphPET and ultrasound negative,9 patients had LN-macro,and the NPV was 91%.Conclusions:LymphPET can be used to screen patients to potentially avoid SLNB,with an NPV>90%.The second stage of the SOAPET trial is ongoing to confirm the safety of omission of SLNB according to preoperational axillary evaluation integrating LymphPET.Junjie Li Jingyi Cheng Guangyu Liu Yifeng Hou Genghong Di Benglong Yang Yizhou Jiang Liang Huang Feilin Qu Sheng Chen Yan Wang Keda Yu Zhimin Shao 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,7:1
5Does the Gonostomum-patterned oral apparatus in hypotrichia carry a phylogenetic signal?Evidence from morphological and molecular data based on extended taxon sampling using three nuclear genes(Ciliophora,Spirotrichea)显示文摘The classification of hypotrichs based on the gonostomatid oral structure is widely accepted,but the phylogenetic signal of this character is unknown.Here,we infer the species phylogeny of those gonostomatids for which molecular data are available,plus26 new sequences of SSU-rDNA,ITS1-5.8 S-ITS2 and LSU-rDNA genes.The results indicate that:(i)the endoral is more phylogenetically informative than the paroral;(ii)the structure of the endoral and the Gonostomum-pattern adoral zone of membranelles are plesiomorphies for the hypotrichs sensu stricto;(iii)the group of species possessing these features is monophyletic in all our phylogenetic analyses,except that for the SSU-rDNA;(iv)Schmidingerotrichidae is monophyletic in all trees,suggesting that it is a well-defined family;(v)the Gonostomatidae is polyphyletic in the SSU-rDNA and ITS1-5.8 S-ITS2 trees,with Gonostomum,Cladotricha,Cotterillia,Metagonostomum,Paragonostomum and Wallackia distributed among separate clades,but monophyletic in the LSU-rDNA and concatenated trees;(vi)higher hypotrich taxa such as core urostyloids and core sporadotrichids/stichotrichids might have evolved from species that possessed a gonostomatid oral apparatus.Jingyi Wang Yan Zhao Xiaoteng Lu Zhao Lyu Alan Warren Chen Shao 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,2:1
6Experimental study on the vitrification and xenotransplantation of human ovarian tissue显示文摘Background:Cryopreservation of ovarian tissue is a promising method for preserving fertility.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM)is an evaluation system for cryo-injury during the cooling and warming process which is very laborious and needs to be optimized.Objective:In this study,we evaluated that serum 17β-oestradiol(E2)may be used as an indicator of vitrified ovarian tissue.Methods:Immunodeficient nude mice were used as hosts for xenografting of vitrified-warmed human ovarian tissues.A total of 54 mice were divided into two group:vitrified ovarian xenotransplant(VOX)group(n?45)and non-transplant control group(n?9).The transplanted mice were grouped into vitrified/warmed grafted-4 weeks(VOX-4w,n?15),vitrified/warmed grafted-6weeks(VOX-6w n?15)and vitrified/warmed grafted-12 weeks(VOX-12w n?15)according to the time after transplantation.The viable and functional recovery of grafted ovarian tissue was assessed by light microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and hormone(E2)assays.Results:Serum E2 concentration was significantly higher in VOX-6w(group(21.07 pg/ml)than that of VOX-12w group(15.59 pg/ml).VOX-12w group showed a lower value(12.61 pg/ml)for E2 concentration.The trend for E2 concentration was consistent with the morphological identification of the grafts.Conclusion:In vivo serum hormone E2 released by cortical biopsies can be used as a functional marker for xenotransplanted vitrified-warmed human ovarian tissue reserve.Jinghui Zhao Yuping Ge Jingyi Li Yucui Zeng Guoyi Dong Liping Zeng Juanjuan Dai Hui Du Mumin Shao Xuewen Yu Huan Li Fang He Zhouchun Shang Chun Wang Gabor Vajt Huiru Tang Ruifang Wu Yutao Du 2022Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine2022,2,1:1
7Combined effects of high temperature and waterlogging on yield and stem development of summer maize显示文摘The purpose of this study was to identify the physiological mechanism underlying the effects of high temperature and waterlogging on summer maize.The stem development and yield of the maize hybrid Denghai 605 in response to high-temperature stress,waterlogging stress,and their combination applied for six days at the third-leaf,sixth-leaf,and tasseling stages were recorded.The combined stresses reduced lignin biosynthetic enzyme activity and lignin accumulation,leading to abnormal stem development.Reduction of the area and number of vascular bundles in stems led to reduced dry matter accumulation and allocation.Decreased grain dry weight at all three stages reduced grain yield relative to a control.In summary,high temperature,waterlogging,and their combined stress impaired stem development and grain yield of summer maize.The combined stresses were more damaging than either stress alone.Jingyi Shao Peng Liu Bin Zhao Jiwang Zhang Xiangyu Zhao Baizhao Ren 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:1

9Co-thermal in-situ reduction of inorganic carbonates to reduce carbon-dioxide emission显示文摘Thermal decomposition of inorganic metal carbonates is the main path to prepare metal oxides;nonetheless,it is always accompanied by the emission of large amounts of CO_(2) as one of the gas products.This study reports a concept of co-thermal insitu reduction of inorganic carbonates by using the energy released by carbonate decomposition under pure hydrogen atmosphere,which reduces the decarboxylation temperature and significantly inhibits the CO_(2) emissions.A combination of hydrogen–deuterium exchange,isotope experiment,and density functional theory calculations demonstrates that the CO results from the selective cleavage of Ca–O bonds at the surface of CaCO_(3) via the direct hydrogenation mechanism at relatively low temperature.However,it undergoes the reverse water–gas shift reaction path at high temperature,i.e.,CO being produced by the reduction of CO_(2) released by the decomposition of carbonates.This study sheds light on the potential of green hydrogen technology for inorganic carbonate valorization toward high value-added products,which can facilitate the large-scale industrial applications.Zhen Xue Jingyi Guo Shasha Wu Wenfu Xie Yujing Fu Xiaojie Zhao Kui Fan Ming Xu Hong Yan Mingfei Shao Xue Duan 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,4:0

11Crown ether-assisted room-temperature halide passivation for highefficiency PbS quantum dots enabling large-area and long-lifetime near-infrared QD-OLEDs显示文摘High-efficiency and low-cost near-infrared(NIR)emitting quantum dots(QDs)are highly desirable for next-generation intrinsically flexible NIR light sources.Halide passivation is commonly employed to passivate surface traps to obtain high-quality NIRemitting PbS QDs,but this procedure requires high temperature and inert atmospheres.Here we develop a facile roomtemperature halide passivation method for highly efficient NIR-emitting PbS QDs by employing crown ethers as a unique auxiliary additive.Experimental and theoretical investigations reveal that the formation of K^(+)-crown ethers complex effectively facilitates the dissociation of KCl in toluene and releases more Cl^(−)ions for extraordinary halide passivation at room temperature and in the air,thus improving the photoluminescence quantum yield from 24%to 35%in solution and further to 44%in blend films.The well-passivated PbS QD films are integrated with red organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs)and the resulting QDOLEDs exhibit high-performance NIR emission centered at 887 nm,a high external quantum efficiency of 5.2%at a radiance of 10 W·sr^(−1)·m^(−2),superior operational stability with long lifetime T90 of 188 h at the current density of 25 mA·cm^(−2).We also construct a large-area NIR QD-OLED(5 cm×5 cm)with desirable uniform emission.This work opens a new avenue to achieve robust large-area NIR planar light sources for broad applications.Zhen Jia Haoyun Shao Jingyi Xu Yu Dai Juan Qiao 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
12Report and Phylogeny of a Novel Euplotes Species from China:E.mazeii n.sp.,and Review of E.balteatus(Alveolata,Ciliophora)显示文摘The freshwater species,Euplotes mazeii n.sp.,and the marine species,E.balteatus(Dujardin,1841)Diesing,1850 were collected from China and investigated based on their living morphology,ciliary pattern,and small subunit ribosomal RNA(SSU rRNA)gene sequence data.Euplotes mazeii n.sp.was characterized by its small cell size((40-55)μm×(25-35)μm),nine frontoventral cirri,one marginal and two caudal cirri,seven dorsal kineties,and a double-eurystomus type of dorsal silverline system.Phylogenetic analyses based on molecular data confirmed the branching position of this new taxa within the genus Euplotes,with 5.01%(84 nucleotides)sequence variation,supporting the identification of a new species.We re-examined all described and supposedly conspecific populations and give a review of Euplotes balteatus.E.balteatus has been reported frequently;however,E.balteatus sensu Agamaliev,1968 is different from other populations in the number of marginal cirri or the type of silverline system,which suggests there might be a misidentification.The SSU rRNA gene sequences of two populations of E.balteatus from the studies of Chen et al.(2013)and Pan et al.(2012)differ from each other by more than 135 nucleotides,implying that the identity of the species currently associated with the SSU rRNA gene sequence in molecular databases requires further confirmation.LIAN Chunyu JIANG Jiamei XI Muchen DONG Jingyi MA Honggang AL-FARRAJ Saleh A STOECK Thorsten WANG Chundi SHAO Chen 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,3:0
