| 1 | Jiawei Xiaoyao capsule treatment for mild to moderate major depression with anxiety symptoms: a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, controlled, multicenter, parallel-treatment trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the efficacy and safety of Jiawei Xiaoyao (JWXY) capsules on mild to moderate depression with anxiety symptoms,a randomized,double-blind,double-dummy controlled,multicenter,parallel-treatment trial was carried out among 210 outpatients with mild to moderate depression and anxiety symptoms from three hospitals in Beijing China.METHODS:Participants were randomized into the JWXY group or the sertraline group.Each group received JWXY treatment and sertraline placebo,or sertraline and JWXY placebo for 8 weeks.Main outcomes were measured using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) and the Clinical Global Impression Scale.RESULTS:JWXY and sertraline had the equivalent effect on HAMD at every interview point.JWXY was more effective at reducing the HAMA scores at the 2nd and 12th week,HAMD sleep disturbance subscale scores at the 8th and 12th week,and HAMA somatic anxiety subscale scores at the 12th week.The rate of adverse events in the two groups was the same.CONCLUSION:For mild to moderate depression with anxiety symptoms,JWXY could be as effective as sertraline in alleviating depressive symptoms.For anxiety symptoms,JWXY may be effective more quickly and with longer lasting effects than sertraline.In particular,it may also improve quality of sleep and somatic anxiety symptoms.JWXY is safe and cheaper than conventional antidepressants,and may be the first alternative choice for depression with anxiety symptoms. | Su Rui Fan Jiping Li Tao Cao Xindong Zhou Jie Han Zhenyun Ma Yan | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,3: | 2 |

| 7 | Inverse uncertainty characteristics of pollution source identification for river chemical spill incidents by stochastic analysis显示文摘Identifying source information after river chemical spill occurrences is critical for emergency responses.However,the inverse uncertainty characteristics of this kind of pollution source inversion problem have not yet been clearly elucidated.To fill this gap,stochastic analysis approaches,including a regional sensitivity analysis method,identifiability plot and perturbation methods,were employed to conduct an empirical investigation on generic inverse uncertainty characteristics under a well-accepted uncertainty analysis framework.Case studies based on field tracer experiments and synthetic numerical tracer experiments revealed several new rules.For example,the release load can be most easily inverted,and the source location is responsible for the largest uncertainty among the source parameters.The diffusion and convection processes are more sensitive than the dilution and pollutant attenuation processes to the optimization of objective functions in terms of structural uncertainty.The differences among the different objective functions are smaller for instantaneous release than for continuous release cases.Small monitoring errors affect the inversion results only slightly,which can be ignored in practice.Interestingly,the estimated values of the release location and time negatively deviate from the real values,and the extent is positively correlated with the relative size of the mixing zone to the objective river reach.These new findings improve decision making in emergency responses to sudden water pollution and guide the monitoring network design. | Jiping Jiang Feng Han Yi Zheng Nannan Wang Yixing Yuan | 2018 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,5: | 1 |

| 15 | Dielectric properties of edible fungi powder related to radio-frequency and microwave drying显示文摘Edible fungi are rich in nutrition,but they are susceptible to spoilage,and often prolonged by drying.RF and microwave energy drying have the advantages of short drying time,high energy efficiency and good process control.However,to develop an effective dielectric drying method,it is important to understand dielectric properties,the major factor characterizing the interaction between the electromagnetic energy and the food.At present,there is a lack of research on dielectric properties of edible fungi.In this study,a vector network analyzer and an open-ended coaxial-line probe were employed to measure the dielectric parameters.The dielectric parameters were observed at different temperatures(25–85°C)for edible fungi powder with moisture content ranging from 5 to 30%wet basis over a frequency range of 1–3000 MHz.The relationship between the dielectric properties and frequency,temperature,and moisture content were obtained via regression analysis.Further,the dielectric penetration depth was calculated,and the effects of frequency,moisture content,and temperature on the penetration depth were also analyzed.The results showed that the dielectric properties of edible fungi powder increased with an increase in moisture content and temperature,while they decreased with increasing frequency.At high moisture content and temperature,the increase in dielectric properties was slightly larger than that at low moisture content and temperature.The dielectric properties changed more evidently at lower radio frequencies than at higher radio frequencies.The penetration depth decreased with an increase in temperature,moisture content,and frequency.It can be concluded that a large penetration depth at radio frequencies below 100 MHz could be used to dry edible fungi on a large scale,whereas microwave energy could be employed for drying edible fungi on a small scale. | Siying Qi Jiping Han Camel Lagnika Ning Jiang Chunlu Qian Chunquan Liu Dajing Li Yang Tao Zhifang Yu Libin Wang Zhongyuan Zhang Chunju Liu Yadong Xiao Min Zhang | 2021 | Food Production, Processing and Nutrition2021,3,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Effects of freeze-thaw cycles on physicochemical properties and structure of cooked crayfish (Procambarus clarkii)显示文摘To explore the damage mechanisms of freeze-thaw cycles on cooked crayfish in frozen storage, changes in the phys-icochemical properties and structure of cooked crayfish during the freeze-thaw cycles were investigated. The phys-icochemical properties of cooked crayfish changed significantly after five freeze-thaw cycles. The moisture content, water holding capacity, pH, and textural properties were decreased, while the total color difference, drip loss, and pro-tein and lipid oxidation were significantly increased (P < 0.05). LF-NMR and MRI verified the water loss, and SDS-PAGE showed denaturation/degradation of myofibrillar proteins (MPs). Multiple freeze-thaw cycles promoted the transition from α-helix to β-turn in the secondary structure, the unfolding of tertiary structure, and a significant change in the chemical forces of MPs. SEM results revealed a disruption in the microstructure of muscle fibers. | 20 | Variations in terrestrial oxygen sources under climate change显示文摘The terrestrial ecosystem is an important source of atmospheric oxygen, and its changes are closely related to variations in atmospheric oxygen level. However, few studies have focused on the characteristics and driving forces behind terrestrial ecosystem oxygen sources. In this study, based on observations and net carbon flux simulations from the Sixth Coupled Model Intercomparison Project, we investigated temporal and spatial variations in terrestrial oxygen sources. As the largest source of atmospheric oxygen, the terrestrial ecosystem can produce approximately 7.10±0.38 gigatons of oxygen per year, and the tropics are the main oxygen producing regions. Notably, there are many “non-oxygen-producing lands”, where the lands no longer provide oxygen to the atmosphere, located in the high latitudes and around the deserts of Central Asia. Long-term analysis reveals that anthropogenic activities and climate change are responsible for the variations in terrestrial oxygen sources owing to land-use changes and competing effects between net photosynthesis and heterotrophic respiration. By 2100, more oxygen will be produced from the low-middle latitudes, while the high latitudes will serve as a larger oxygen sink due to extreme land-use type changes and drastic increases in soil respiration.
