1One-pot synthesis of graphene oxide and Ni-Al layered double hydroxides nanocomposites for the efficient removal of U(VI) from wastewater显示文摘Graphene oxide and Ni-Al layered double hydroxides(GO@LDH) nanocomposites were synthesized via a one-pot hydrothermal process,and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Raman spectroscopy in detail.The exploration of U(VI) sorption on GO@LDH surface was performed as a function of ionic strength,solution pH,contact time,U(VI) initial concentrations and temperature.Results of Langmuir isotherms showed that the sorption capacity of GO@LDH(160 mg/g) was much higher than those of LDH(69 mg/g) and GO(92 mg/g).The formed surface complexes between surface oxygen-containing functional groups of GO@LDH and U(VI) turned out to be the interaction mechanism of U(VI) with GO@LDH.According to the thermodynamic studies results,the sorption interaction was actually a spontaneous and endothermic chemical process.The sorption isotherms were better fitted with the Langmuir model compared with other models,which suggested the interaction was mainly dominated by mono layer coverage.The GO@LDH nanocomposites provide potential applications as adsorbents in the enrichment of radionuclides from wastewater in nuclear waste management and environmental remediation.Shujun Yu Jian Wang Shuang Song Kunyu Sun Jun Li Xiangxue Wang Zhongshan Chen Xiangke Wang 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,3:12

4Characterization of the pore system in an over-mature marine shale reservoir:A case study of a successful shale gas well in Southern Sichuan Basin,China显示文摘During the past two years the shale gas exploration in Southern Sichuan basin received some exciting achievements.Data of a new appraisal well showed that the gas producrtions of vertical well and horizontal well are^1.5×104 m3/day/well(with maximum^3.5×104 m3/day/well)and^12.5×104 m3/day/well(with maximum^40×104 m3/day/well),respectively,indicating a good gas potential in this area.Eight core samples from the reservoir were investigated by using a carbon sulfur analyzer,microphotometry,x-ray diffractometry,field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),mercury injection porosimetry(MIP),and low-pressure nitrogen adsorption to obtain a better understanding of the reservoir characteristics of the Upper OrdovicianeLower Silurian organic-rich shale.Results show that the total organic carbon(TOC)content ranges from 0.5%to 5.9%,whereas the equivalent vitrinite reflectance(VRr)is between 2.8%and 3.0%.Pores in the studied samples were observed in three modes of occurrence,namely,interparticle pores,intraparticle pores,and intraparticle organic pores.The total porosity(P)ranges from 1.6%to 5.3%,and MIP data sets suggest that pores with throats larger than 20 nm contribute little to the pore volume.Low-pressure N2 adsorption isotherms indicate that the total specific surface area(SBET)ranges from 9.6 m2/g to 18.9 m2/g,and the pore volume(V)ranges from 0.011 cm3/g to 0.020 cm3/g.The plot of dV/dW versus W shows that the fine mesopores(pore size(BJH)<4 nm)mainly contribute to the pore volume.The P,SBET,and V show a good positive correlation with TOC and a weak positive correlation with the total clay mineral content,thus indicating that the nanopores are mainly generated by the decomposition of organic matter.The reservoir characteristics of the Upper OrdovicianeLower Silurian organic-rich shale are comparable with commercial shale gas plays in North America.The sample gas contents with TOC>2%are more than 3.0 m3/ton.The observation can be a good reference for the future exploration and evaluation of reservoir in this area.Yang Yang Kunyu Wu Tingshan Zhang Mei Xue 2015Petroleum2015,1,3:5
5Weighted Discriminative Sparse Coding for Image Classification显示文摘In the discriminative sparse coding,the reconstruction residual over each class-specific subdictionary can provide great discriminative and label information. In this paper, we propose a weighted discriminative sparse coding method by using the residual as the weight. For a test sample, we first compute its sparse code over each learnt sub-dictionary, and then use the reconstruction residual over each sub-dictionary to weight the corresponding sub-dictionary, thereby forming a weighted sample-specific structure dictionary, over which we compute a new sparse code for the test sample. This code carries more discriminative information about interclass difference. Our method yields a unique structure dictionary for each test sample, so that samples with the same class labels have more similar distributions of dictionary atom contributions. 6QTL mapping for grain number per spikelet in wheat using a high-density genetic map显示文摘Grain number per spikelet (GNS) is a key determinant of grain yield in wheat.A recombinant inbred line population comprising 300 lines was developed from a cross between a high GNS variety H461 and Chinese Spring from which the reference genome assembly of bread wheat was obtained.Both parents and the recombinant inbred lines were genotyped using the wheat 55K single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) array.A high-density genetic map containing 21,197 SNPs was obtained.These markers covered each of the 21 chromosomes with a total linkage distance of 3792.71 c M.Locations of these markers in this linkage map were highly consistent with their physical locations in the genome assembly of Chinese Spring.The two parents and the whole RIL population were assessed for GNS in two consecutive years at two different locations.Based on multi-environment phenotype data and best liner unbiased prediction values,three quantitative trait loci (QTL) for GNS were identified.One of them located on chromosomes 2B and the other two on 2D.Phenotypic variation explained by these loci varied from 3.07%to26.57%.One of these QTL,QGns.sicau-2D-2,was identified in each of all trials conducted.Based on the best linear unbiased prediction values,this locus explained 19.59%–26.57%of phenotypic variation.A KASP(Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR) marker closely linked with this locus was generated and used to validate the effects of this locus in three different genetic backgrounds.The identified QTL and the KASP marker developed for it will be highly valuable in fine-mapping the locus and in exploiting it for markerassisted selection in wheat breeding programs.Yu Lin Xiaojun Jiang Haiyan Hu Kunyu Zhou Qing Wang Shifan Yu Xilan Yang Zhiqiang Wang Fangkun Wu Shihang Liu Caixia Li Mei Deng Jian Ma Guangdeng Chen Yuming Wei Youliang Zheng Yaxi Liu 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:4

8Super-enrichment of lithium and niobium in the upper Permian Heshan Formation in Pingguo,Guangxi,China显示文摘The upper Permian Heshan Formation in Pingguo,Guangxi,China,is strongly enriched in lithium(Li)and niobium(Nb).The lower bauxite layer contains 0.02–0.04 wt.%Nb_(2)O_(5)(averaging 0.035 wt.%),and the overlying clay rock layer contains 0.06–1.05 wt.%Li_(2)O(averaging 0.44 wt.%),both of which exceed the cut-off grades for independent Li and Nb deposits and are therefore highly prospective.In this study,a preliminary discussion of the genesis of the Li and Nb enrichment is presented to serve as a reference for the investigation,evaluation,and prospecting for clay-and sedimentary-type Li and Nb ores in other regions.The preliminary conclusions are that:(1)The bauxite ore contains abundant anatase,which positively correlates with the whole-rock concentrations of TiO_(2) and Nb,indicating that the Nb is hosted mainly in the anatase;(2)the cookeite content in the clay rock positively correlates with the whole-rock Li concentration,indicating that cookeite is the main carrier mineral of Li,and its genesis can be attributed to reactions between clay minerals(e.g.,pyrophyllite and illite)and Li-Mg-rich underground brine or pore water and groundwater in coastal areas;and(3)provenance analysis of immobile elements(Al,Ti,Nb,Ta,Zr,Hf,and rare earth elements)suggests distinct sources for the Nb-rich bauxite and the overlying Li-rich clay rocks,with the bauxite and Nb originating largely from alkaline felsic rocks in the Emeishan Large Igneous Province,and the clay rocks being derived from peraluminous or moderately fractionated felsic rocks associated with Permian Paleo-Tethyan magmatic arcs.Kunyue LING Hanjie WEN Qizuan ZHANG Chongguang LUO Hannian GU Shengjiang DU Wenxiu YU 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,5:4

10Pollutant emission reduction effect through effluent tax,concentration-based effluent standard,or both显示文摘There are numerous studies comparing different kinds of environmental taxes and standards.However,forms of environmental standards focused by former researchers are usually quantitybased limits/standards(e.g.pounds per day or pounds per unit of output).Concentration-based emission standard(e.g.milligrams per liter of wastewater) as one important form of environmental standard has not been given much attention.In this article,comparable estimates of their probable effect on enterprise pollution reduction will be developed for concentrationbased effluent standards,effluent taxes,and a combination of both.A linear simulation model is used to clearly and obviously compare the effects of effluent taxes and concentration-based standards within the same figure.With one detailed application to the paper industry,some enlightenment and conclusions-as well as the general applicability of these principles-are then provided:Under the same effluent tax rate,enterprises,groups,and industries that are cleaner will reduce more pollutants than those that have higher pollutant abatement costs.It is recommended that effluent taxes are set by avoiding cutting it even at one stroke and considering the feasibility of pollution-reducing technology in various industries.It is necessary to reduce MAC of enterprises to better stimulate enterprises' or industries' emission reduction by preferential measures,such as high tax rate coordinated by speeding up the depreciation of environmental protection equipment.Kunyu Niu Zhongshan Tian Jie Xue 2016Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2016,16,2:2

12Numerical modeling and multi-objective optimization of a novel cross-flow heat exchanger with rotated aligned tube bank显示文摘A novel cross-flow heat exchanger with a rotated aligned tube bank is designed and utilized in a cement plant. The heat exchanger is numerically modeled with various tube pitches in order to obtain correlations of the shell-side average Nusselt number and friction factor. Then, a multi-objective optimization approach is performed based on the genetic algorithm. The goal of this study is to maximize the heat transfer rate and minimize the pressure drop. Pareto optimal solutions are obtained, which indicate that the increase in the heat transfer rate leads to an increase in pressure drop, and vice versa. In addition, heat exchanger effectiveness, total cost, and the ratio of the heat transfer rate to the fan/pumping power demonstrate different variations with the two objective functions. Several selection criteria are discussed to determine the optimal design and to help designers select an appropriate solution based on actual requirements. Two multi-objective optimization design schemes are compared to the original design under the same heat transfer rate. 13Room temperature compressive properties and strengthening mechanism of Mg96.17Zn3.15Y0.50Zr0.18 alloy solidified under high pressure显示文摘The microstructures of Mg96.17Zn3.15Y0.50Zr0.18 alloys solidified under 2-6 GPa high pressure were investigated by employing SEM(EDS) and TEM.The strengthening mechanism of experimental alloy solidified under high pressure is also discussed by analyzing the compressive properties and compression fracture morphology.The results show that the microstructure of experimental alloy becomes significantly fine-grained with increasing GPa level high pressure during solidification process,and the secondary dendrite arm spacing reduces from 40 μm at atmospheric pressure to 10 μm at 6 GPa pressure.The morphology of the second phases changes from the net structure by the lamellar-type eutectic structure at atmospheric pressure to discontinuous thin rods or particles at 6 GPa pressure.Besides,the solid solubility of Zn in the Mg matrix is improved with the increase of the solidification pressure.Compared with atmospheric-pressure solidification,high-pressure solidification can improve the strength of the experimental alloy.The compressive stre ngth is improved from 263 to 437 MPa at 6 GPa.The fracture mechanism of the experimental alloy changes from cleavage fracture at atmospheric pressure to quasi-cleavage fracture at high pressure.The main mechanism of the strength improvement of the experimental alloy includes the grain refinement strengthening caused by the refinement of the solidification microstructure,the second phase strengthening caused by the improvement of the morphology and distribution of the second phases,and solid solution strengthening caused by the increase of the solid solubility of Zn in the Mg matrix.Xiaoping Lin Zhibin Fan Chang Xu Kunyu Guo Chang Xu Shiqi Guo 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,6:2
14Metallogenic Model of Bauxite in Central Guizhou Province:an Example of Lindai Deposit显示文摘The bauxites in central Guizhou are hosted by the Lower Carboniferous Jiujialu Formation.Geochemistrial characteristics of the Lindai bauxite deposit indicate that the underlying Shilengshui Formation dolomite is the precursor rock of mineral resources.Weathering simulation experiments show that Si is most likely to migrate with groundwater,the migration rate of which is several magnitude higher than Al and Fe under nature conditions(pH=3–9).The neutral and acid non-reducing condition is the most conducive to the Al rich and Si removal,while the acid reducing conditions is the most conducive to the Al rich and Fe removal.In the process of bauxite formation,coal beds overlying the Al-bearing rock series or other rock formation rich in organic materials can produce acid reducing groundwater,which are important for the bauxite formation.Finally,propose the metallogenic model of the bauxite in central Guizhou Province and put forward three new words which are'original bauxite material','bauxite material'and'original bauxite'.LING Kunyue ZHU Xiaoqing WANG Zhonggang HAN Tao TANG Haoshu CHEN Wenyi 2013Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,6:2

16Mesoporous Ternary Nitrides of Earth?Abundant Metals as Oxygen Evolution Electrocatalyst显示文摘As sustainable energy becomes a major concern for modern society,renewable and clean energy systems need highly active,stable,and low-cost catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Mesoporous materials offer an attractive route for generating efficient electrocatalysts with high mass transport capabilities.Herein,we report an efficient hard templating pathway to design and synthesize three-dimensional(3-D)mesoporous ternary nickel iron nitride(Ni3FeN).The as-synthesized electrocatalyst shows good OER performance in an alkaline solution with low overpotential(259 mV)and a small Tafel slope(54 mV dec?1),giving superior performance to IrO2 and RuO2 catalysts.The highly active contact area,the hierarchical porosity,and the synergistic effect of bimetal atoms contributed to the improved electrocatalytic performance toward OER.In a practical rechargeable Zn–air battery,mesoporous Ni3FeN is also shown to deliver a lower charging voltage and longer lifetime than RuO2.This work opens up a new promising approach to synthesize active OER electrocatalysts for energy-related devices.Ali Saad Hangjia Shen Zhixing Cheng Ramis Arbi Beibei Guo Lok Shu Hui Kunyu Liang Siqi Liu John Paul Attfield Ayse Turak Jiacheng Wang Minghui Yang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,6:2
