1Differential expression of FOXO1 during development and myoblast differentiation of Qinchuan cattle and its association analysis with growth traits显示文摘Our previous work reported a relationship between FOXO1 mutations and growth of Qinchuan(QC) cattle. Here, we performed differential expression analysis of FOXO1 and its association analysis with growth traits in QC cattle. First, we measured the expression of the FOXO1 gene in nine tissues during three developmental stages. The results showed that FOXO1 was abundantly expressed in tissues of calves but was strongly repressed in adulthood, although there was significant transcription in skeletal muscle. FOXO1 expression showed gradual up-regulation during differentiation of primary bovine skeletal muscle cells.We also identified six SNPs of the bovine FOXO1 gene by sequencing DNA pools of samples from 488 individuals, and association analysis indicated that five SNPs were significantly associated with some growth traits in the QC population. We further analyzed four haplotype combinations of the six SNPs and found significant correlation with body length(P<0.01). In conclusion, FOXO1 participates in bovine myocyte differentiation and expression, and may be a strong candidate as a gene that affects growth traits that could be exploited in a QC cattle breeding program. 2Estimation of Crop Biomass Using GF-3 Polarization SAR Data Based on Genetic Algorithm Feature Selection显示文摘In recent years,Polarization SAR(PolSAR)has been widely used in the filed of crop biomass estimation.However,high dimensional features extracted from PolSAR data will lead to information redundancy which will result in low accuracy and poor transfer ability of the estimation model.Aiming at this problem,we proposed a estimation method of crop biomass based on automatic feature selection method using genetic algorithm(GA).Firstly,the backscattering coefficient,the polarization parameters and texture features were extracted from PolSAR data.Then,these features were automatically pre-selected by GA to obtain the optimal feature subset.Finally,based on this subset,a support vector regression machine(SVR)model was applied to estimate crop biomass.The proposed method was validated using the GaoFen-3(GF-3)QPSΙ(C-band,quad-polarization)SAR data.Based on wheat and rape biomass samples acquired from a synchronous field measurement campaign,the proposed method achieve relative high validation accuracy(over 80%)in both crop types.For further analyzing the improvement of proposed method,validation accuracies of biomass estimation models based on several different feature selection methods were compared.Compared with feature selection based on linear correlation,GA method has increased by 5.77%in wheat biomass estimation and 11.84%in rape biomass estimation.Compared with the method of recursive feature elimination(RFE)selection,the proposed method has improved crops biomass estimation accuracy by 3.90%and 5.21%,respectively.Kunpeng XU Lei ZHAO Kun LI Erxue CHEN Wangfei ZHANG Hao YANG 2020Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,4:3
3Stimulated Brillouin scattering evolution and suppression in an integrated stimulated thermal Rayleigh scattering-based fiber laser显示文摘The spectral purity of fiber lasers has become a critical issue in both optical sensing and communication fields.As a result of ultra-narrow intrinsic linewidth, stimulated thermal Rayleigh scattering(STRS) has presented special potential to compress the linewidth of fiber lasers. To suppress stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS), the most dominant disturbance for STRS in optical fibers, a semi-quantitative estimation has been established to illuminate the mechanism of suppressing SBS in a periodic tapered fiber, and it agrees with experimental results. 4Economy Analysis of Flexible LCC-HVDC Systems with Controllable Capacitors显示文摘Commutation failure(CF)is a frequent dynamic event at inverter of LCC-HVDC systems caused by AC side faults which can lead to inverter blocking,interruption of active power transfer,and even system blackout.To eliminate CFs and improve system performance,new Flexible LCC-HVDC topologies have been proposed in previous research but with limited analysis on its economic performance.Therefore,to further validate the applicability of Flexible LCC-HVDC topologies,this paper utilizes Life-Cycle Cost Analysis model to analyze the life-cycle cost of inverter stations for conventional LCCHVDC,Capacitor Commutated Converter based HVDC(CCCHVDC)topology and Flexible LCC-HVDC topologies including Controllable Capacitor based Flexible LCC-HVDC,AC Filterless Controllable Capacitor based Flexible LCC-HVDC and improved Flexible LCC-HVDC.Through a case study based on a 500 kV,1000 MW LCC-HVDC scheme,comparison results show that the AC Filterless Controllable Capacitor based Flexible LCCHVDC topology and the improved Flexible LCC-HVDC topology have lower cost than the conventional LCC-HVDC and CCCHVDC topologies,which proves that the elimination of CFs can be achieved with reduced cost.Nan Chen Kunpeng Zha Haitao Qu Fangling Li Ying Xue Xiao-Ping Zhang 2022CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,6:2
5Purified oxygenand nitrogen-modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes as metal-free catalysts for selective olefin hydrogenation显示文摘Oxygen-and nitrogen-functionalized carbon nanotubes (OCNTs and NCNTs) were applied as metal-free catalysts in selective olefin hydrogenation. A series of NCNTs was synthesized by NH3 post-treatment of OCNTs. Temperature-programmed desorption, N2 physisorption, Raman spectroscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were employed to characterize the surface properties of OCNTs and NCNTs, aiming at a detailed analysis of the type and amount of oxygenand nitrogen-containing groups as well as surface defects. The gas-phase treatments applied for oxygen and nitrogen functionalization at elevated temperatures up to 600 C led to the increase of surface defects, but did not cause structural damages in the bulk. NCNTs showed a clearly higher activity than the pristine CNTs and OCNTs in the hydrogenation of 1,5-cyclooctadiene, and also the selectivity to cyclooctene was higher. The favorable catalytic properties are ascribed to the nitrogen-containing surface functional groups as well as surface defects related to nitrogen species. 82 μm optical frequency comb generation via optical parametric oscillation from a lithium niobate optical superlattice box resonator显示文摘Optical parametric oscillators(OPOs) can downconvert the pump laser to longer wavelengths with octave separation via χ^((2)), which is widely used for laser wavelength extension including mid-infrared(MIR) generation.Such a process can be integrated in monolithic resonators, being compact and low in threshold. In this work, we show that the monolithic χ^((2))mini-OPO can also be used for optical frequency comb generation around 2096 nm and enters the boundary of MIR range. A new geometry called an optical superlattice box resonator is developed for this realization with near-material-limited quality factor of 4.0 × 10^(7). Only a continuous-wave near-infrared pump laser is required, with OPO threshold of 80 mW and output power up to 340 mW. Revival temporal profiles are measured at a detectable repetition frequency of 1.426 GHz, and narrow beat note linewidth of less than 10 Hz shows high comb coherence. These results are in good agreement with our simulation for a stable comb generation. 10Room-temperature plastic inorganic semiconductors for flexible and deformable electronics显示文摘Flexible electronics ushers in a revolution to the electronics industry in the 21st century.Ideally,all components of a flexible electronic device including the functional component shall comply with the deformation to ensure the structural and functional integrity,imposing a pressing need for developing roomtemperature strain-tolerant semiconductors.To this end,there is a long-standing material dilemma:inorganic semiconductors are typically brittle at room temperature except for size-induced flexibility;by contrast,organic semiconductors are intrinsically soft and flexible but the electrical performance is poor.This is why the discovery of bulk plasticity in Ag2S at room temperature and ZnS in darkness is groundbreaking in solving this long-standing material dilemma between the mechanical deformability and the electrical performance.The present review summarizes the background knowledge and latest advances in the emerging field of plastic inorganic semiconductors.At the outset,we argue that the plasticity of inorganic semiconductors is vital to strain tolerance of electronic devices,which has not been adequately emphasized.The mechanisms of plasticity are illustrated from the perspective of chemical bonding and dislocations.Plastic inorganic materials,for example,ionic crystals(insulators),ZnS in darkness,and Ag2S,are discussed in detail in terms of their prominent mechanical properties and potential applications.We conclude the article with several key scientific and technological questions to address in the future study.Heyang Chen Tian-Ran Wei Kunpeng Zhao Pengfei Qiu Lidong Chen Jian He Xun Shi 2021InfoMat2021,3,1:1
11Design and test of two-wheeled walking hemp harvester显示文摘Aiming at the planting characteristics of hemp in southern hilly regions,a two-wheeled walking hemp harvester suitable for harvesting hemp in southern hilly regions is studied and designed.The harvester mainly consists of a header frame,single-moving cutter,cutter mechanical transmission,stalk lifter and reel,stalk divider,stalk horizontal conveyor,wheeled chassis,motor,gearbox,etc.To improve the cutting performance of the two-wheeled walking hemp harvester,response surface tests of three levels are conducted for three factors influencing the operation quality,including the cutting speed,blade length,and forward speed,on the constructed hemp cutting test bench.Moreover,test results are analyzed with the response surface method,and multi-objective optimization is carried out for the regression mathematical model with Design-Expert software.Results show that when the cutting speed is 1.2 m/s,the blade length is 120 mm,forward speed is 0.6 m/s,the cutting efficiency is 38.92 stalks/s,the cutting power is 776.37 W and the failure rate is 6.24%.Trial production of sample machine and field trial are finished according to the optimized parameters and structural design scheme,and the test results reveal that the cutting rate can reach 92.5%,the rate of transmission can reach 86.7%,the productivity is 0.18 hm2/h,and all performance indexes can meet the design requirements.This research can provide references for resolving the mechanical harvesting of hemp.Jicheng Huang Cheng Shen Aimin Ji Kunpeng Tian Bin Zhang Xianwang Li Qiaomin Chen 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,1:1

13Design and parameters optimization for cutting-conveying mechanism of ramie combine harvester显示文摘In order to solve the problems of uneven stubble,low cutting efficiency and frequent breaking and blocking in the cutting and conveying links of ramie combine harvester,a reciprocating double movable blades cutter and a double-layer chain conveyor were designed,and the operating parameter test and optimization were carried out by using the central combination test design theory,with the emphasis on the influence of the forward speed,the cutting speed of the cutter and the conveying speed of the chain on the cutting efficiency,the failure rate and the conveying rate,and the multi-objective optimization was carried out based on these response indicators.Firstly,the structure and operating parameters of the cutting-conveying mechanism of ramie combine were studied.Then,the experiment was designed by the quadratic orthogonal rotation combination test method,and the data is processed by Design-Expert.The regression mathematical model of cutting efficiency,failure rate and conveying rate was established and variance analysis was carried out.By analyzing the effect of interaction of various factors on cutting efficiency,failure rate and conveying rate by response surface methodology,and performing multi-objective optimization on the regression model according to the importance of the optimization target,the optimal combination of the operating parameters of the cutting-conveying parts of the ramie combine harvester was obtained:when the forward speed was 0.85 m/s,the cutting speed was 1.40 m/s,and the chain conveying speed was 1.33 m/s,the cutting efficiency and conveying rate were the maximum and the failure rate was the minimum,with the values of 44.36 plants/s,93.60%and 4.16%,respectively.The optimized parameters were verified in the field on the ramie combine harvester.In the field test,the cutting efficiency,conveying rate,and failure rate were 43.80 plants/s,92.45%,and 4.52%,respectively,and the relative errors with the optimized values were 1.3%,1.2%,and 8.7%,respectively,which was relatively consistent.Jicheng Huang Kunpeng Tian Cheng Shen Bin Zhang Haolu Liu Qiaomin Chen Xianwang Li Aimin Ji 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,6:1

19Ground-Based Hyperspectral Stereoscopic Remote Sensing Network: A Promising Strategy to Learn Coordinated Control of O_(3) and PM_(2.5) over China显示文摘With the coming of the“14th Five-Year Plan,”the coordinated control of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter no greater than 2.5 lm(PM_(2.5))and O_(3) has become a major issue of air pollution prevention and control in China.The stereoscopic monitoring of regional PM_(2.5) and O_(3) and their precursors is crucial to achieve coordinated control.However,current monitoring networks are currently inadequate for monitoring the vertical profiles of both PM_(2.5) and O_(3) simultaneously and support air quality control.The University of Science and Technology of China(USTC)has established a nationwide ground-based hyperspectral stereoscopic remote sensing network based on multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy(MAX-DOAS)since 2015.This monitoring network provides a significant opportunity for the regional coordinated control of PM_(2.5) and O_(3) in China.One-year vertical profiles of aerosol,NO_(2) and HCHO monitored from four MAX-DOAS stations installed in four megacities(Beijing,Shanghai,Shenzhen,and Chongqing)were used to characterize their vertical distribution differences in four key regions,Jing–Jin–Ji(JJJ),Yangtze River Delta(YRD),Pearl River Delta(PRD),and Sichuan Basin(SB),respectively.The normalized and yearly averaged aerosol vertical profiles below 400 m in JJJ and PRD exhibit a box shape and a Gaussian shape,respectively,and both show exponential shapes in YRD and SB.The NO_(2) vertical profiles in four regions all exhibit exponential shapes because of vehicle emissions.The shape of the HCHO vertical profile in JJJ and PRD was Gaussian,whereas an exponential shape was shown in YRD and SB.Moreover,a regional transport event occurred at an altitude of 600–1000 m was monitored in the southwest–northeast pathway of the North China Plain(NCP)by five MAX-DOAS stations(Shijiazhuang(SJZ),Wangdu(WD),Nancheng(NC),Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS),and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(UCAS))belonging to the above network.The aerosol optical depths(AOD)in these five stations decreased in the order of SJZ>WD>NC>CAMS>UCAS.The short-distance regional transport of NO2 in the 700–900 m layer was monitored between WD and NC.As an important precursor of secondary aerosol,the peak of NO_(2) air mass in WD and NC all occurred 1 h earlier than that of aerosol.This was also observed for the short-distance regional transport of HCHO in the 700–900 m layer between NC and CAMS,which potentially affected the O_(3) concentration in Beijing.Finally,CAMS was selected as a typical site to determine the O_(3)–NO_(x)–volatile organic compounds(VOCs)sensitivities in vertical space.We found the production of O_(3) changed from predominantly VOCs-limited conditions to mainly mixed VOCs–NO_(x)-limited condition from the 0–100 m layer to the 200–300 m layer.In addition,the downward transport of O_(3) could contribute to the increase of ground surface O_(3) concentration.This ground-based hyperspectral stereoscopic remote sensing network provide a promising strategy to support management of PM_(2.5) and O_(3) and their precursors and conduct attribution of sources.Cheng Liu Chengzhi Xing Qihou Hu Qihua Li Haoran Liu Qianqian Hong Wei Tan Xiangguang Ji Hua Lin Chuan Lu Jinan Lin Hanyang Liu Shaocong Wei Jian Chen Kunpeng Yang Shuntian Wang Ting Liu Yujia Chen 2022Engineering2022,,12:0
20Microwave heating as a universal method to transform confined molecules into armchair graphene nanoribbons显示文摘Armchair graphene nanoribbons(AGNRs)with sub-nanometer width are potential materials for the fabrication of novel nanodevices thanks to their moderate direct band gaps.AGNRs are usually synthesized by polymerizing precursor molecules on substrate surface.However,it is time-consuming and not suitable for large-scale production.AGNRs can also be grown by transforming precursor molecules inside single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)via furnace annealing,but the obtained AGNRs are normally twisted.In this work,microwave heating is applied for transforming precursor molecules into AGNRs.The fast heating process allows synthesizing the AGNRs in seconds.Several different molecules were successfully transformed into AGNRs,suggesting that it is a universal method.More importantly,as demonstrated by Raman spectroscopy,aberrationcorrected high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and theoretical calculations,less twisted AGNRs are synthesized by the microwave heating than the furnace annealing.Our results reveal a route for rapid production of AGNRs in large scale,which would benefit future applications in novel AGNRs-based semiconductor devices.Haoyuan Zhang Yingzhi Chen Kunpeng Tang Ziheng Lin Xuan Li Hongwei Zhang Yifan Zhang Chi Ho Wong Chi Wah Leung Chee Leung Mak Yuan Hu Weili Cui Kecheng Cao Lei Shi 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
