| 1 | Fluorine in drinking water and urine in the urban and rural areas of northwestern China——Its determination by a fluoride ion selective electrode显示文摘In this study, the author determined fluorine in drinking water and urine of residents who are divided into four age groups (5, 12, 35-44, 65-74 aged), living in Huangling City, Shaanxi Province and at 6 villages of Qin'an County, Gansu Province, P.R.China. Some residents are living in fluorine exposure areas. A total of 929 residents (463 females and 466 males) involved in the study were selected from 7 tap water systems. Drinking water samples were collected from each area and analyzed using the fluoride ion-selective method. No positive correlation relationship was found between fluorine concentrations in urine and those in drinking water in the area where the fluorine concentrations of drinking water are within the range of 1-2 mg/L. The fluorine absorbed by resistents of different ages is different in amount. With the same concentrations of fluorine in drinking water, more fluorine would be absorbed by young residents than old residents. | 2 | Asymmetric interfaces and high-TC ferromagnetic phase in La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)MnO_(3)/SrRuO_(3)superlattices显示文摘Interfacial magnetism in functional oxide heterostructures not only exhibits intriguing physical phenomena but also implies great potential for device applications.In these systems,interfacial structural and electronic reconstructions are essential for improving the stability and tunability of the magnetic properties.In this work,we constructed ultra-thinLa_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)MnO_(3)/SrRuO_(3)(SRO)layers into superlattices,which exhibited a robust ferromagnetic phase.The high Curie temperature(TC)reaches 291 K,more than 30 K higher than that of bulk LCMO.We found that the LCMO/SRO superlattices consisted of atomically-sharp and asymmetric heterointerfaces.Such a unique interface structure can trigger a sizable charge transfer as well as a ferroelectric-like polar distortion.These two interfacial effects cooperatively stabilized the high-T_(C)ferromagnetic phase.Our results could pave a promising approach towards effective control of interfacial magnetism and new designs of oxide-based spintronic devices. | Lili Qu Da Lan Liang Si Chao Ma Shasha Wang Liqiang Xu Kexuan Zhang Feng Jin Zixun Zhang Enda Hua Binbin Chen Guanyin Gao Feng Chen Haifeng Du Karsten Held Lingfei Wang Wenbin Wu | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,10: | 1 |

| 4 | Paleoenvironmental Evolution of the Beilun River Estuary,Northwest South China Sea,During the Past 20,000 Years Based on Diatoms显示文摘The paleoenvironmental history of the Beilun River estuary on the coast of Beibu Gulf in the northwest South China Sea is reconstructed based on fossil diatoms,isotopic dating,sedimentary grain size data,mineralogy and geochemistry in three sediment core samples. Results show that the estuary has experienced significant environmental changes since deposition began about 20,000 yr ago. Freshwater runoff of the Beilun River initially was strong. However,the freshwater runoff reduced significantly after a transgressive event. Subsequently the estuary's position began to migrate to the northeast. At the end of the Late Pleistocene the estuary shifted gradually towards the southwest. In the Early-Mid Holocene,the estuary's geomorphology was shaped by seawater transgressing into the ancient river channel. The basin was filled continuously but slowly to form the present Beilun River estuary.
