High power all-fiberized and narrow-bandwidth MOPA system by tandem pumping strategy for thermally induced mode instability suppression显示文摘An all-fiberized and narrow-bandwidth master oscillator power amplification(MOPA) system with record output power of 4 kW level and slope efficiency of 78% is demonstrated. Tandem pumping strategy is tentatively introduced into the narrow-bandwidth MOPA system for thermally induced mode instability(TMI) suppression. The stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) effect is balanced by simply using one-stage phase modulation technique. With different phase modulation signals, SBS limited output powers of 336 W, 1.2 kW and 3.94 kW are respectively achieved with spectral bandwidths accounting for 90% power of ~0.025, 0.17 and ~0.89 nm. Compared with our previous 976 nm pumping system, TMI threshold is overall boosted to be >5 times in which tandem pumping increases the TMI threshold of >3times. The beam quality(M~2 factor) of the output laser is well within 1.5 below the TMI threshold while it is ultimately saturated to be 1.86 with the influence of TMI at maximal output power. Except for SBS and TMI, stimulated Raman scattering(SRS) effect will be another challenge for further power scaling. In such a high power MOPA system, multidetrimental effects(SBS, SRS and TMI) will coexist and may be mutual-coupled, which could provide a well platform for further comprehensively investigating and optimizing the high power, narrow-bandwidth fiber amplifiers. | Pengfei Ma Hu Xiao Daren Meng Wei Liu Rumao Tao Jinyong Leng Yanxing Ma Rongtao Su Pu Zhou Zejin Liu | 2018 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2018,6,4: | 9
Velocity forecasts using a combined deep learning model in hybrid electric vehicles with V2V and V2I communication显示文摘Vehicle velocity forecast is an important clue in improving the performance of energy management in hybrid electric vehicles(HEV). This paper presents a new combined model for predicting vehicle’s velocity time series. The main features of the model are to combine the feature extraction capability of deep restricted Boltzmann machines(DBM) and sequence pattern predicting capability of bidirectional long short-term memory(BLSTM). Hence, the model is named as DBMBLSTM. In addition, the DRMBLSTM model utilizes the vehicle driving information and roadside infrastructure information provided respectively through vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure(V2I) communication channels to predict vehicle velocity at various length of prediction horizon. Furthermore, the predictions results of this study are compared with the state of the art of vehicle velocity forecasts. The root mean square error(RMSE) is used as an evaluation criteria of predictions accuracy. Finally, these compared prediction model are applied in model predictive control(MPC) energy management strategy for the verifications of fuel economy improvement of a HEV. Simulation results confirm that the proposed combined deep learning model performs better than other five prediction methods. Therefore, it is a means of arriving at a reliable forecast model for HEV. | PEI JiaZheng SU YiXin ZHANG DanHong QI Yue LENG ZhiWen | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,1: | 6

Industrial TiO2 based nacreous pigments as functional building materials:Photocatalytic removal of NO显示文摘In this paper, the photocatalytic activity of industrial titanium dioxide(TiO2)based nacreous pigments was researched as functional building materials for photocatalytic NO remove.Three industrial TiO2 based nacreous pigments were selected to estimate the photocatalytic activity for NO remove. This study is a good proof that pearlescent pigments can eliminate NO,and its performance is positively correlated with its titanium dioxide content. And this research will widen the application of nacreous pigments in functional building materials, and provide a new way to eliminate in door nitric oxide pollution. | Jue Li Li Wang Chunqiu Han Fengyun Su Yumin Leng Liqun Ye | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,10: | 3
High-repetition-rate, high-peak-power 1450 nm laser source based on optical parametric chirped pulse amplification显示文摘We present a high-peak-power,near-infrared laser system based on optical parametric chirped pulse amplification pumped by a home-built picosecond pumping laser, which can generate over 40 mJ energy at 1450 nm center wavelength and operate at 100 Hz repetition rate.Subsequently, the chirped laser pulses are compressed down to 60 fs with 26.5 mJ energy, corresponding to a peak power of 0.44 TW. This high-energy,long-wavelength laser source is highly suitable for driving various nonlinear optical phenomena, such as high-order harmonic generation and high-flux coherent extreme ultraviolet/soft X-ray radiation. | Pengfei Wang Beijie Shao Hongpeng Su Xinlin Lv Yanyan Li Yujie Peng Yuxin Leng | 2019 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2019,7,2: | 2
Pulse combination and compression in hollow-core fiber for few-cycle intense mid-infrared laser generation显示文摘The generation of high-peak-power,few-cycle mid-infrared(MIR)pulses using coherent beam combination and nonlinear pulse compression techniques simultaneously is demonstrated. The two pulses, with identical pulse energy of 2.8 mJ and pulse duration of 160 fs,are coherently combined at the input end of a krypton-filled hollow-core fiber(HCF),and then the bandwidth of the combined pulse is broadened to near an optical octave due to strong phase modulations, and the temporal width is compressed into a few-cycle regime. Finally,a 2.7 mJ,22.9 fs,20 Hz laser at 4μm can be obtained, and the pulse peak power is greatly enhanced compared with that of conventional single-channel optical parametric chirped pulse-amplification systems.Furthermore, the peak power generated from this system has the prospect of further scaling up through use of more channels of coherent combination, which can pave a way to generate higher peak power ultra-intense MIR pulses for strong-field physics. | Junyu Qian Pengfei Wang Yujie Peng Yanyan Li Beijie Shao Hongpeng Su Xinlin Lv Ding Wang Yuxin Leng Ruxin Li | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,4: | 2

Identification of biomarkers associated with the feed efficiency by metabolomics profiling:results from the broiler lines divergent for high or low abdominal fat content显示文摘Background:Improving feed efficiency(FE)is one of the main objectives in broiler breeding. It is difficult to directly measure FE traits, and breeders hence have been trying to identify biomarkers for the indirect selection and improvement of FE traits.Metabolome is the'bridge'between genome and phenome. The metabolites may potentially account for more of the phenotypic variation and can suitably serve as biomarkers for selecting FE traits. This study aimed to identify plasma metabolite markers for selecting high-FE broilers.A total of 441 birds from Northeast Agricultural University broiler lines divergently selected for abdominal fat content were used to analyze plasma metabolome and estimate the genetic parameters of differentially expressed metabolites. Results:The results identified 124 differentially expressed plasma metabolites(P<0.05)between the lean line(highFE birds)and the fat line(low-FE birds).Among these differentially expressed plasma metabolites,44 were found to have higher positive or negative genetic correlations with FE traits(|r_g|≥0.30).Of these 44 metabolites,14 were found to display moderate to high heritability estimates(h~2≥0.20).However,among the 14 metabolites,4 metabolites whose physiological functions have not been reported were excluded.Ultimately,10 metabolites were suggested to serve as the potential biomarkers for breeding the high-FE broilers.Based on the physiological functions of these metabolites, reducing inflammatory and improving immunity were proposed to improve FE and increase production efficiency. Conclusions:According to the pipeline for the selection of the metabolite markers established in this study,it was suggested that 10 metabolites including 7-ketocholesterol,dimethyl sulfone,epsilon-(gamma-glutamyl)-lysine,gamma-glutamyltyrosine,2-oxoadipic acid,L-homoarginine,testosterone,adenosine 5'-monophosphate,adrenic acid, and calcitriol could be used as the potential biomarkers for breeding the'food-saving broilers'. | Zhiyong Su Xue Bai Haoyu Wang Shouzhi Wang Chong Chen Fan Xiao Huaishun Guo Haihe Gao Li Leng Hui Li | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1: | 0
Mediating role of resilience in the relationship between COVID-19 related stigma and mental health among COVID-19 survivors:a cross-sectional study显示文摘Background The global coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has caused many negative effects on physical and mental health of patients who have survived COVID-19.Apart from some long-lasting physical sequelae, those COVID-19 survivors are also suffering stigma and discrimination at different levels around the world. The current study aims to assess the role resilience played in stigma and mental disorders among COVID-19 survivors. Methods The cross-sectional study was carried out among former COVID-19 patients in Jianghan District(Wuhan,China)from June 10 to July 25,2021.The demographic questions, the Impact of Events Scale-Revised,the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionnaire, the Patient Health Questionnaire, the Resilience Style Questionnaire and the Short Version of COVID-19 Stigma Scale of 12 items were used to collect relevant information of the participants.Descriptive analyses,Pearson correlation analysis and Structural Equation Modeling were used to make data description and analysis. Results A total of 1541 out of 1601 COVID-19 survivors(887 females and 654 males)were included in the analysis.Perceived stigma of those COVID-19 survivors correlates significantly with anxiety(r=0.335,P<0.001),depression(r=0.325,P<0.001)and post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)(r=0.384,P<0.001).It has a direct effect on COVID-19 survivors’anxiety(β=0.326,P<0.001),depression(β=0.314,P<0.001),PTSD(β=0.385,P<0.001)and their resilience(β=−0.114,P<0.01).Resilience partially mediated the association between perceived stigma and anxiety(β=0.020,P<0.01),depression(β=0.020,P<0.01),and PTSD(β=0.014,P<0.01)among COVID-19 survivors. Conclusion Stigma has a significant negative impact on mental health, while resilience plays a mediator role in the relationship between stigma and mental health among COVID-19 survivors.Based on our study,we suggested that when designing psychological interventions for COVID-19 survivors, consideration should be taken into account to reduce stigma and improve resilience. | Weijun Xiao Xiaoyang Liu Hao Wang Yiman Huang Zhenwei Dai Mingyu Si Jiaqi Fu Xu Chen Mengmeng Jia Zhiwei Leng Dan Cui Winnie W.S.Mak Liming Dong Xiaoyou Su | 2023 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2023,12,2: | 0

Promoter variations in DBR2-like affect artemisinin production in different chemotypes of Artemisia annua显示文摘Artemisia annua is the only known plant source of the potent antimalarial artemisinin, which occurs as the low-and high-artemisinin producing(LAP and HAP)chemotypes.Nevertheless, the different mechanisms of artemisinin producing between these two chemotypes were still not fully understood. Here,we performed a comprehensive analysis of genome resequencing, metabolome, and transcriptome data to systematically compare the difference in the LAP chemotype JL and HAP chemotype HAN.Metabolites analysis revealed that 72.18%of sesquiterpenes was highly accumulated in HAN compared to JL.Integrated omics analysis found a DBR2-Like(DBR2L)gene may be involved in artemisinin biosynthesis.DBR2L was highly homologous with DBR2,belonged to ORR3 family, and had the DBR2 activity of catalyzing artemisinic aldehyde to dihydroartemisinic aldehyde.Genome resequencing and promoter cloning revealed that complicated variations existed in DBR2L promoters among different varieties of A.annua and were clustered into three variation types. The promoter activity of diverse variant types showed obvious differences.Furthermore, the core region(-625 to 0)of the DBR2L promoter was identified and candidate transcription factors involved in DBR2L regulation were screened. Thus, the result indicates that DBR2L is another key enzyme involved in artemisinin biosynthesis. The promoter variation in DBR2L affects its expression level, and thereby may result in the different yield of artemisinin in varieties of A.annua.It provides a novel insight into the mechanism of artemisinin-producing difference in LAP and HAP chemotypes of A.annua, and will assist in a high yield of artemisinin in A.annua. | Xingwen Wang Lan Wu Li Xiang Ranran Gao Qinggang Yin Mengyue Wang Zhaoyu Liu Liang Leng Yanyan Su Huihua Wan Tingyu Ma Shilin Chen Yuhua Shi | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,9: | 0
Relationship between Ponkan Mandarin Fruit Quality and Nutrient Concentrations显示文摘Five age groups of trees were carried out in order to study relationships between the deterioration of Ponkan mandarin fruit quality and changes in tissues nutrient concentrations with tree age.Fruit quality and nutrient concentrations in fruits and leaves were measured.Comprehensive fruit quality decreased in the order:5-year-old > 13-year-old > 38-year-old > 8-year-old >18-year-old.In 18-year-old trees, calcium(Ca) concentrations of fruit and leaf were lower, while potassium(K) and boron(B) concentrations of fruit and magnesium(Mg) and manganese(Mn) concentrations of leaf were higher.Negative relationships were observed between fruit total soluble solids and leaf B,while positive relationships were observed between fruit total soluble solids and leaf and fruit Ca concentrations, and between titratable acidity and leaf Mn.Fruit quality decreasing with tree age most likely resulted from an imbalance of high K,Mg and B but lower Ca concentrations in leaves and fruits. | Hong LENG Qiling TAN Chengxiao HU Cangsong ZHENG Shaokang SU | 2016 | Agricultural Science & Technology2016,17,7: | 0
