1Tailoring interphase structure to enable high-rate, durable sodium-ion battery cathode显示文摘Na-based layered transition metal oxides with O_(3)-type structure have been considered to be promising cathodes for Na-ion batteries. However, the intrinsically limited Na-ion conductivity induced by the Otype Na-coordinate environment compromises their rate and cycle capability, hindering their practical application. Here, we report an interphase-structure tailoring strategy that improves the electrochemical properties of O_(3)-type layered cathodes achieved through surface coating and doping processes.Specifically, a Zr-doped interphase structure is designed in the model compound NaNi_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Fe_(1/3)O_(2) using the ionic conductor Na_(3)Zr_(2)Si_(2)PO_(12) as the surface coating material and Zr-dopant provider. We discover that the modified NaNi_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Fe_(1/3)O_(2)cathode shows a stable Na-storage structure as well as an enhanced rate/cycle capability. Combined with theoretical calculations, it is suggested that the superior electrochemical performances originate from the Zr-doped interphase structure, which has an enlarged Na layer spacing that forms favorable Na-ion diffusion channels. 2Surface modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries to reduce thermal shrinkage without thickness increase显示文摘Surface chemical modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries is attempted to reduce the thermal shrinkage, which is important for the battery energy density. In this study, we grafted organic/inorganic hybrid crosslinked networks on the separators, simply by grafting polymerization and condensation reaction. The considerable silicon-oxygen crosslinked heat-resistance networks are responsible for the reduced thermal shrinkage. The strong chemical bonds between networks and separators promise enough mechanical support even at high temperature. The shrinkage at 150 C for 30 min in the mechanical direction was 38.6% and 4.6% for the pristine and present graft-modified separators, respectively. Meanwhile, the grafting organic-inorganic hybrid crosslink networks mainly occupied part of void in the internal pores of the separators, so the thicknesses of the graft-modified separators were similar with the pristine one. 3Optimal Groundwater Development in Coastal Aquifers Near Beihai, China显示文摘Groundwater resources occur in a multi aquifer system in the alluvial coastal plain near Beihai, China. The aquifers receive recharge from precipitation, canal and reservoir infiltration, and discharge through subterranean drainage into the sea and through artificial pumping. A quasi three dimensional finite element model has been used to simulate the spatial and temporal distribution of groundwater levels in the aquifers. Various input parameters were considered in the simulation model. A linear optimization model has been developed for groundwater development within the coastal aquifers. The objective function of the model is to maximize the total groundwater pumpage from the confined aquifer. The control of sea water intrusion is examined by the restriction of the water levels at points along the coast and of the pumping rates in coastal management cells. The response matrix used in the optimization model was generated from the simulation model by forecasting drawdown produced by pumping at a unit impulse discharge. 13Toughness enhancement of single-crystal diamond by the homoepitaxial growth of periodic nitrogen-doped nano-multilayers显示文摘Periodic nitrogen-doped homoepitaxial nano-multilayers were grown by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition. The residual time of gases(such as CH4and N2) in the chamber was determined by optical emission spectroscopy to determine the nano-multilayer growth process, and thin, nanoscale nitrogen-doped layers were obtained. The highest toughness of 18.2 MPa·m^(1/2)under a Young’s modulus of1000 GPa is obtained when the single-layer thickness of periodic nitrogen-doped nano-multilayers is about 96 nm. The fracture toughness of periodic nitrogen-doped CVD layer is about 2.1 times that of the HPHT seed substrate. Alternating tensile and compressive stresses are derived from periodic nitrogen doping;hence, the fracture toughness is significantly improved. 14The Differential Effects of Exercise, Brace and Combined Rehabilitation Treatment in Patients with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis显示文摘Objective:To compare the effects of different conservative managements on patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). Method:One hundred and four AIS patients were recruited for this study. The patients were divided into 3 groups:exercise (E group), brace (B group) and combined rehabilitation treatment (brace treatment combined with exercise, CR group). Radiological parameter were used to assess AIS patients before and after treatment. The Chinese version of scoliosis research society-22(SRS-22) patient questionnaires were filled out by patients after treatment. The SRS-22 scores were compared among management groups. Result:The maximal Cobb angles were smaller in E group than in B group or CR group both before and af- ter treatment. The maximal Cobb angles were significantly smaller after treatment than before treatment in B group and CR group. Function/activity was better in E group than in B group or CR group. Self-image/appear- ance and satisfaction with management were better in E group and CR group than in B group. There was no significant difference among treatment groups in pain and mental health. Conclusion:Both brace and combined rehabilitation treatment can reduce the spinal curve of AIS patients. Both exercise and combined rehabilitation treatment have positive influence on self-image/appearance and satis- faction with management. 16Oxygen vacancies enriched Ni-Co/SiO_(2)@CeO_(2) redox catalyst for cycling methane partial oxidation and CO_(2) splitting显示文摘Redox catalysts play a vital role in the interconversion of two significant greenhouse gases,CO_(2)and CH_(4),via chemical looping methane dry reforming technology.Herein,a series of transition metals-alloyed and core-shell structured Ni-M/SiO_(2)@CeO_(2)(M=Fe,Co,Cu,Mn,Zr)redox catalyst were fabricated and evaluated in a gas-solid fixed-bed reactor for cycling CH_(4)partial oxidation(PO_(x))and CO_(2)splitting.The catalysts are composed of spherical SiO_(2)core and CeO_(2)shell,and the highly dispersed Ni alloy nanoparticles are the interlayer between core and shell.The oxygen vacancy concentration of Ni-M/SiO_(2)@CeO_(2)followed the order of Co>Cu>Fe>Mn>Zr,and Ni alloying with transition metals significantly enhanced oxygen storage capacity(OSC).Ni-Co/SiO_(2)@CeO_(2)catalyst with abundant oxygen vacancies and a high OSC showed the lowest temperatures of CH_(4)activation(610℃)and CO_(2)decomposition(590℃),thus demonstrating excellent redox reactivity.The catalyst exhibited superior activity and structural stability in the continuous CH_(4)/CO_(2)redox cycles at 615℃,achieving 87%CH_(4)conversion and 83%CO selectivity.The proposed catalyst shows great potential for the utilization of CH_(4)and CO_(2)in a redox mode,providing a new sight for design redox catalyst in chemical looping or related fields.Chang Yang Juping Zhang Jiakai Wang Dongfang Li Kongzhai Li Xing Zhu 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,63,11:0
