1Meso-Cenozoic Evolution of Earth Surface System under the East Asian Tectonic Superconvergence显示文摘The East Asian geological setting has a long duration related to the superconvergence of the Paleo-Asian, Tethyan and Paleo-Pacific tectonic domains. The Triassic Indosinian Movement contributed to an unified passive continental margin in East Asia. The later ophiolites and I-type granites associated with subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate in the Late Triassic, suggest a transition from passive to active continental margins. With the presence of the ongoing westward migration of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the sinistral transpressional stress field could play an important role in the intraplate deformation in East Asia during the Late Triassic to Middle Jurassic, being characterized by the transition from the E-W-trending structural system controlled by the Tethys and Paleo-Asian oceans to the NE-trending structural system caused by the Paleo-Pacific Ocean subduction. The continuously westward migration of the subduction zones resulted in the transpressional stress field in East Asia marked by the emergence of the Eastern North China Plateau and the formation of the Andean-type active continental margin from late Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous(160-135 Ma), accompanied by the development of a small amount of adakites. In the Late Cretaceous(135-90 Ma), due to the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the regional stress field was replaced from sinistral transpression to transtension. Since a large amount of late-stage adakites and metamorphic core complexes developed, the Andean-type active continental margin was destroyed and the Eastern North China Plateau started to collapse. In the Late Cretaceous, the extension in East Asia gradually decreased the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific subduction zones. Futhermore, a significant topographic inversion had taken place during the Cenozoic that resulted from a rapid uplift of the Tibet Plateau resulting from the India-Eurasian collision and the formation of the Bohai Bay Basin and other basins in the East Asian continental margin. The inversion caused a remarkable eastward migration of deformation, basin formation and magmatism. Meanwhile, the basins that mainly developed in the Paleogene resulted in a three-step topography which typically appears to drop eastward in altitude. In the Neogene, the basins underwent a rapid subsidence in some depressions after basin-controlled faulting, as well as the intracontinental extensional events in East Asia, and are likely to be a contribution to the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau.DMITRIENKO Liudmila V. 2Optimization of denitrifying phosphorus removal in a predenitrification anaerobic/anoxic/post-aeration+nitrification sequence batch reactor(pre-A_(2)NSBR)system:Nitrate recycling,carbon/nitrogen ratio and carbon source type显示文摘Because the efficiency of biological nutrient removal is always limited by the deficient carbon source for the low carbon/nitrogen(C/N)ratio in real domestic sewage,the denitrifying phosphorus removal(DNPR)was developed as a simple and efficient method to remove nitrogen and phosphorous.In addition,this method has the advantage of saving aeration energy while reducing the sludge production.In this context,a pre-denitrification anaerobic/anoxic/post-aeration+nitrification sequence batch reactor(pre-A_(2)NSBR)system,which could also reduce high ammonia effluent concentration in the traditional two-sludge DNPR process,is proposed in this work.The pre-A_(2)NSBR process was mainly composed of a DNPR SBR and a nitrifying SBR,operating as alternating anaerobic/anoxic/post-aeration+nitrification sequence.Herein,the long-term performance of different nitrate recycling ratios(0-300%)and C/N ratios(2.5-8.8),carbon source type,and functional microbial community were studied.The results showed that the removal efficiency of total inorganic nitrogen(TIN,including NH4^(+)-N,NO_(2)^(-)-N,and NO_(3)^(-)-N)gradually increased with the nitrate recycling ratios,and the system reached the highest DNPR efficiency of 94.45% at the nitrate recycling ratio of 300%.The optimum C/N ratio was around 3.9-7.3 with a nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiency of 80.15%and 93.57%,respectively.The acetate was proved to be a high-quality carbon source for DNPR process.The results of fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)analysis indicated that nitrifiers and phosphorus accumulating organisms(PAOs)were accumulated with a proportion of 19.41%and 26.48%,respectively.Weihua Zhao Meixiang Wang Jianwei Li Yu Huang Baikun Li Cong Pan Xiyao Li Yongzhen Peng 2018Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,5:3
3A missing link of the Proto-Tethys Ocean between the Qinling and Qilian orogens,China:Insights from geochronology and structural geology显示文摘The Qinling-Qilian connection zone(QQCZ)is a key area to reveal the relationship and to make a link of the North Qinling and the North Qilian orogens,China.Here we present U-Pb dating data of detrital zircons from four sedimentary/metasedimentary rocks in the QQCZ and the southwestern North China Block(NCB)and detailed regional structural data.Three episodes of fold deformation(D1,D2 and D3)are distinguished in the QQCZ,with the former two occurred during the early Paleozoic.The D1 deformation is mainly characterized by regionally penetrative schistosity and some residual rootless intrafolial folds due to the intensive superpositions by the subsequent D2 and D3 deformations.The D2 deformation characterized by tight folds,associated axial plane foliations and crenulation lineations indicates a stress field characterized by NNE-SSW-directed compression,which may be induced by the collision between the NCB and the southern blocks.The D3 deformation which might occur during the Mesozoic is marked by upright open folds and kink bands.The similarity of the detrital zircon age spectra of the Huluhe Group in the North Qilian Orogen and the Erlangping Group in the North Qinling Orogen suggests that the two groups have similar provenance,which may indicate that the North Qilian Orogen corresponded to the North Qinling Orogen in a regional tectonic framework.In addition,the remarkable age peak at^435 Ma of the detrital zircon age spectrum of the Duanjiaxia Formation in the southwestern NCB indicates that this formation obtained the provenance of the North Qilian and North Qinling orogens,which may be generated by the collage of the southwestern NCB and the QQCZ during the Late Ordovician-Early Silurian.Based on structural,detrital zircon and metamorphic data,we suggest that the North Qilian and North Qinling orogens underwent similar evolution during the early Paleozoic due to the closure of the North Qilian and the Kuanping oceans which located at the northern boundary of the Proto-Tethys Ocean.Shujuan Zhao Sanzhong Li Huahua Cao Xiyao Li Xin Liu Shengyao Yu Xiaoyu Guo 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,5:2
4Discrete twinning dynamics and size-dependent dislocation-to twin transition in body-centred cubic tungsten显示文摘Body-centred cubic(BCC) metals are known to have unstable intrinsic stacking faults and high resistance to deformation twinning, which can strongly influence their twinning behaviour. Though twinning mechanisms of BCC metals have been investigated for more than 60 years, the atomistic level dynamics of twinning remains under debate, especially regarding its impact on competition between twinning and slip. Here, we investigate the atomistic level dynamics of twinning in BCC tungsten(W) nanowires using in situ nanomechanical testing. Quantitative experimental studies directly visualize that deformation twins in W nanowires have a minimum size of six-layers and grow in increments of approximately three-layers at a time, in contrast to the layer-by-layer growth of deformation twins in face-centred cubic metals. These unique twinning dynamics induces a strong competition with ordinary dislocation slip,as exhibited by a size-dependent dislocation-to-twin transition in W nanowires, with a transition size of ~40 nm. 10Excessive branched-chain amino acid accumulation restricts mesenchymal stem cell-based therapy efficacy in myocardial infarction显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)delivered into the post-ischemic heart milieu have a low survival and retention rate,thus restricting the cardioreparative efficacy of MSC-based therapy.Chronic ischemia results in metabolic reprogramming in the heart,but little is known about how these metabolic changes influence implanted MSCs.Here,we found that excessive branched-chain amino acid(BCAA)accumulation,a metabolic signature seen in the post-ischemic heart,was disadvantageous to the retention and cardioprotection of intramyocardially injected MSCs.Discovery-driven experiments revealed that BCAA at pathological levels sensitized MSCs to stress-induced cell death and premature senescence via accelerating the loss of histone 3 lysine 9 trimethylation(H3K9me3).A novel mTORC1/DUX4/KDM4E axis was identified as the cause of BCAA-induced H3K9me3 loss and adverse phenotype acquisition.Enhancing BCAA catabolic capability in MSCs via genetic/pharmacological approaches greatly improved their adaptation to the high BCAA milieu and strengthened their cardioprotective efficacy.We conclude that aberrant BCAA accumulation is detrimental to implanted MSCs via a previously unknown metabolite-signaling-epigenetic mechanism,emphasizing that the metabolic changes of the post-ischemic heart crucially influence the fate of implanted MSCs and their therapeutic benefits.Fuyang Zhang Guangyu Hu Xiyao Chen Ling Zhang Lanyan Guo Congye Li Hang Zhao Zhe Cui Xiong Guo Fangfang Sun Dandan Song Wenjun Yan Yunlong Xia Shan Wang Miaomiao Fan Ling Tao 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,7:1

12Plume interaction and mantle heterogeneity:A geochemical perspective显示文摘Mantle plumes originating from the Core-Mantle Boundary(CMB)or the Mantle Transition Zone(MTZ)play an important role in material transfer through Earth’s interior.The hotspot-related plumes originate through different mechanisms and have diverse processes of material transfer.Both the Morganian plumes and large low shear wave velocity provinces(LLSVPs)are derived from the D'layer in the CMB,whereas the Andersonian plumes originate from the upper mantle.All plumes have a plume head at the Moho,although the LLSVPs have an additional plume head at the MTZ.We compare the geochemical characteristics of various plumes in an attempt to evaluate the material exchange between the plumes and mantle layers.The D'layer,the LLSVPs and the Morganian plumes are consisted of subducted slab and post-perovskite from the lower mantle.Bridgmanite would crystallize during the upwelling process of the LLSVPs and the Morganian plumes in the lower mantle,and the residual is a basalt-trachyte suite.Unlike the Morganian plumes,the crystallization in the LLSVPs is insufficient that material accumulates beneath the MTZ to form a plume head.Typically,the secondary plumes above the plume head occur at the edge of the LLSVPs because it is easier for bridgmanite crystal separating from the plume head at the edge,and the residual material with low density upwells to form the secondary plumes.Meanwhile,Na and K are enriched during the long-term crystallization process,and then the basalt-phonolite suite appears in the LLSVPs.The geochemical characteristics of Andersonian plumes suggest that the basalt-rhyolite suite is the major component in the upper mantle.Meanwhile the basalt-rhyolite suite also appears in the LLSVPs and the Morganian plumes because of the assimilation and contamination in the plume head beneath the Mono.Zhen Zhang Sanzhong Li Guangzeng Wang Xiyao Li Gang Wang Yanhui Suo M.Santosh Lingli Guo 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,5:1

They play an important role in pain conduction by participating in various physiological processes such as synaptic transmission, changes in synaptic plasticity, and neuronal excitability. Available evidence suggests that the HVA channel is an important therapeutic target for pain management. In this review, we summarize the changes in different subtypes of HVA channel during pain and present the currently available evidence from the clinical application of HVA channel blockers. 14Loss of KDM4B impairs osteogenic differentiation of OMSCs and promotes oral bone aging显示文摘Aging of craniofacial skeleton significantly impairs the repair and regeneration of trauma-induced bony defects,and complicates dental treatment outcomes.Age-related alveolar bone loss could be attributed to decreased progenitor pool through senescence,imbalance in bone metabolism and bone-fat ratio.Mesenchymal stem cells isolated from oral bones(OMSCs)have distinct lineage propensities and characteristics compared to MSCs from long bones,and are more suited for craniofacial regeneration.However,the effect of epigenetic modifications regulating OMSC differentiation and senescence in aging has not yet been investigated.In this study,we found that the histone demethylase KDM4B plays an essential role in regulating the osteogenesis of OMSCs and oral bone aging.Loss of KDM4B in OMSCs leads to inhibition of osteogenesis.Moreover,KDM4B loss promoted adipogenesis and OMSC senescence which further impairs bone-fat balance in the mandible.Together,our data suggest that KDM4B may underpin the molecular mechanisms of OMSC fate determination and alveolar bone homeostasis in skeletal aging,and present as a promising therapeutic target for addressing craniofacial skeletal defects associated with age-related deteriorations.Peng Deng Insoon Chang Jiongke Wang Amr A.Badreldin Xiyao Li Bo Yu Cun-Yu Wang 2022International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,2:0
15Statistical Learning for Semantic Parsing: A Survey显示文摘A long-term goal of Artificial Intelligence(AI) is to provide machines with the capability of understanding natural language. Understanding natural language may be referred as the system must produce a correct response to the received input order. This response can be a robot move, an answer to a question, etc. One way to achieve this goal is semantic parsing. It parses utterances into semantic representations called logical form, a representation of many important linguistic phenomena that can be understood by machines. Semantic parsing is a fundamental problem in natural language understanding area. In recent years, researchers have made tremendous progress in this field. In this paper, we review recent algorithms for semantic parsing including both conventional machine learning approaches and deep learning approaches. We first give an overview of a semantic parsing system, then we summary a general way to do semantic parsing in statistical learning. With the rise of deep learning, we will pay more attention on the deep learning based semantic parsing, especially for the application of Knowledge Base Question Answering(KBQA). 16The levels of microbial diversity in dif ferent water layers of saline Chagan Lake,China显示文摘Saline lakes represent a particularly interesting aquatic environment for harboring high microbial diversity.However,the microbial diversity in different states and locations of saline lake is often overlooked.We studied for the first time the diversity and relative composition of the microbial communities in the Chagan Lake,NE China,and investigated the dif ferences in microbial species and physical and chemical factors in different geographical localities of the lake.After extracting the total DNA of the sample,we tested the library with the established library,sequenced the qualified library with Illumina HiSeq 2500,and studied the bacterial diversity by 16 S rRNA targeted metagenomics analysis.Results reveal that the highest microbial abundance in Chagan Lake at genus level was Proteobacterium followed by Actinomycetes and Bacteroides.In addition,we compared the microbial composition within the lake using alpha-and beta-diversity indices,showing that both diversity and evenness were the highest in the middle of the lake and lowest in the west of lake areas,and in the upper,middle,and lower depth of water columns,the low water column had the highest species number in the whole water environment,but the dif ference was not significant.We believe that physicochemical factors contribute to the formation of microbial community composition and diversity.In aquaculture industry,it is impossible apply horticulture for making full use of the spatial dif ferences in the microbial composition of the water.Therefore,combining cultured aquatic animal with the most suitable microbial species is a good way to boost the breeding ef fect for greater economic value.ZHANG Lei CAI Yanan JIANG Miao DAI Jing GUO Xiyao LI Wei LI Yuehong 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,2:0

18StSN2 interacts with the brassinosteroid signaling suppressor StBIN2 to maintain tuber dormancy显示文摘After harvest,potato tubers undergo an important period of dormancy,which significantly impacts potato quality and seed vigor.StSN2 has been reported as a key gene for maintaining tuber dormancy;in this study,we explored the molecular mechanism by which StSN2 maintains dormancy.StBIN2 was first identified as a candidate protein that interacts with StSN2 by co-immunoprecipitation/mass spectrometry,and both qPCR and enzyme activity experiments showed that StSN2 can promote the StBIN2 expression and activity.In addition,the interaction between StSN2 and StBIN2 was verified by yeast two-hybrid,luciferase complementation experiments and co-immunoprecipitation.Bioinformatics analysis and site-directed mutagenesis confirmed the critical role of cysteine residues of StBIN2 in its binding to StSN2.Similar to that of StSN2,overexpression of StBIN2 extended the dormancy of potato tuber.Interaction between StSN2 and StBIN2 increased the activity of the StBIN2 enzyme,inhibited the expression of StBZR1,and suppressed BR signaling.On the contrary,this interaction promoted the expression of StSnRK2.2/2.3/2.4/2.6 and StABI5,key genes of ABA signaling,and the phosphorylation of StSnRK2.3,thereby promoting ABA signaling.Altogether,our results indicate that StSN2 interacts with StBIN2 through key cysteine residues and StBIN2 maintains tuber dormancy by affecting ABA and BR signaling.Findings of this research offer new insights into the molecular mechanism by which StSN2 maintains potato tuber dormancy through interaction with StSIN2 and provide guidance for potato improvement.Shifeng Liu Chengcheng Cai Luopin Li He Wen Jie Liu Liqin Li Qiang Wang Xiyao Wang 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,12:0
19Method for measuring rice grain internal damage degree undergoing threshing force显示文摘During the threshing process of rice,the grains fall off the head of the rice ear due to the impact of the threshing bar.At the same time,the impact force of the threshing element causes a certain degree of damage to the grain.However,there are relatively few methods to analyze the internal damage of rice grains during the threshing process.In this study,the connection force between rice grains and stalks and the compressive bearing capacity of the grains were tested on a push-pull test machine,and then the critical impact force and velocity of rice grains during plastic deformation and brittle fracture were obtained by Hertz theory.On this basis,the quantitative evaluation model of grain internal damage was established through the extraction and calculation of the damaged area inside the grain,and the damage degrees inside the grain under different loading times and loading forces were analyzed.The results showed that the average threshing force required for rice grains is 1.57 N(variance is 0.0529),and the critical impact forces for plastic deformation and brittle fracture of the grains during threshing are 138.79 N and 145.77 N.Since the threshing force during the threshing process was 43.9-71.9 N,it could be known from the internal damage model that the grain is in the safe loading area.Under the same load,the vertical pressure causes the most damage,the lateral pressure takes second place,and the positive pressure was the least.The results of this study can provide a basis for the development of combine harvester and rice grains damage evaluation.Hui Ren Zhong Tang Xiyao Li Yu Li Xin Liu Biao Zhang Yaoming Li 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,1:0
