1Economic Vulnerability of Mining City——A Case Study of Fuxin City,Liaoning Province,China显示文摘The economic system of mining city is of typical vulnerability characteristics that can be manifested by its high economic sensitivity and lack of response capacity to the gradual depletion of regional mineral resources. Taking Fuxin City of Liaoning Province as a case, this paper established an economic vulnerability assessment method integrating BP neural network with vulnerability index, then carried out an economic vulnerability assessment of Fuxin during 1989-2006. The results indicate that: 1) Affected by the gradual depletion of regional mineral resources, the economic development of Fuxin had kept high economic sensitivity from 1995 to 2001, and the response capacity to cope with and adapt to the impacts of the perturbation of mineral resources was weak and relatively lag. The evolution of economic vulnerability can be divided into three stages: in 1989-1994, the economic vulnerability of Fuxin City decreased slowly; in 1995-2001, the beginning stage of economic transformation, the economic vulnerability of Fuxin City went up rapidly; in 2002-2006, the economic vulnerability of Fuxin City descended and showed a trend to be stable. 2) The influence of economic sensitivity on Fuxin′s economic vulnerability is more evident than that of response capacity. 3) The decreasing supply of mineral resources and the simple industrial structure are main factors leading to the economic sensitivity of Fuxin. 4) The improvement of economic response capacity of Fuxin has typical characteristics of input-driven growth, and external assistance is of great importance to the rapid improvement of economic response capacity of Fuxin. 2Innovative endoscopic enucleations of the prostate--Xie’s Prostate Enucleations显示文摘In the past 2 decades,endoscopic enucleation of the prostate has become a safe and effective surgical treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH),with comparable outcomes to traditional surgeries.Transurethral vapor enucleation and resection of the prostate(TVERP),transurethral vapor enucleation of the prostate(TVEP),and ultrasound-navigated TVEP(US-TVEP)are new,innovative endoscopic enucleation procedures.These procedures are named Xie’s Prostate Enucleations(Xie’s Procedures for short).Current clinical data indicate that Xie’s Procedures are safe and effective treatment options for patients with BPH,especially for patients with larger prostates.Further prospective,randomized clinical trials compared with traditional transurethral resection of prostate(TURP)are still needed.Liping Xie Xiao Wang Hong Chen Xiangyi Zheng Ben Liu Shiqi Li Yeqing Mao Qiqi Mao Song Wang Jiangfeng Li Tillmann Loch 2018Asian Journal of Urology2018,5,1:6
3MSG is involved in sperm gelatinolytic activity in the prawn,Macrobrachium rosenbergii显示文摘Proteases in male reproductive tract are considered to play key roles in fertilization processes.In contrast to mammals,there are limited data concerning crustacean sperm proteases.We previously identified a novel sperm gelatinase(MSG) from Macrobrachium rosenbergii that was inhibited by a male reproduction-related Kazal-type protease inhibitor(MRPINK) specifically.In the present study,MSG was found to be distributed on the vas deferens and terminal ampullae by Western blot.Immunohistochemical analyses revealed that MSG was expressed in secretory epithelial cells and sperm distributed mainly at the base zone.RNA interference(RNAi) mediated knock-down of MSG resulted in a marked loss of sperm gelatinolytic activity.Taken together,the results show that MSG is closely linked to and probably involved in the fertilization process.YANG Fan QIAN YeQing MA WenMing LI Ye YANG JinShu YANG WeiJun 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,17:5

6Landform Planation Index Extracted from DEMs: A Case Study in Ordos Platform of China显示文摘Planation surface, a surface that is almost flat, is a kind of low-relief landforms. Planation surface is the consequence of the denudation and planation processes under a tectonic stable condition. The quantitative expression of the characteristics of planation surface plays a key role in reconstructing and describing the evolutionary process of landforms. In this study, Landform Planation Index(LPI), a new terrain derivative, was proposed to quantify the characteristics of planation surface. The LPIs were calculated based on the summit surfaces formed according to the clustering results of peaks. Ten typical areas in the Ordos Platform located in the central part of the Loess Plateau of China are chosen as the test areas for investigating their planation characteristics with the LPI. The experimental results indicate that the LPI can be effectively used to quantify the characteristics of planation surfaces. In addition, the LPI can be further used to depict the patterns of spatial differentiation in the Ordos Platform. Although the present Ordos Platform area is full of the high-density gullies, its planation characteristics is found to be well preserved. Furthermore, the characteristics of the planation surfaces can also reflect the original morphology of the Ordos Platform before the loess dusts deposition process evolved in this area. The statistical results of the LPI show that there is a gradually increasing tendency along with the increasing of slope gradient of summit surface. It indicates that the characteristics of planation surfaces vary among test areas with different landforms. These findings help to deepen the understanding of planation characteristics of the loess landform and its underlying paleotopography.
