2BZR1 Family Transcription Factors Function Redundantly and Indispensably in BR Signaling but Exhibit BRI1-Independent Function in Regulating Anther Development in Arabidopsis显示文摘BRASSINAZOLE-RESISTANT 1 family proteins(BZRs)are central transcription factors that govern brassinosteroid(BR)-regulated gene expression and plant growth.However,it is unclear whether there exists a BZR-independent pathway that mediates BR signaling.In this study,we found that disruption of all BZRs in Arabidopsis generated a hextuple mutant(bzr-h)displaying vegetative growth phenotypes that were almost identical to those of the null mutant of three BR receptors,bri1brl1brl3(bri-t).By RNA sequencing,we found that global gene expression in bzr-h was unaffected by 2 h of BR treatment.The anthers of bzr-h plants were loculeless,but a similar phenotype was not observed in bri-t,suggesting that BZRs have a BR signaling-independent regulatory role in anther development.By real-time PCR and in situ hybridization,we found that the expression of SPOROCYTELESS(SPL),which encodes a transcription factor essential for anther locule development,was barely detectable in bzr-h,suggesting that BZRs regulate locule development by affecting SPL expression.Our findings reveal that BZRs are indispensable transcription factors required for both BR signaling and anther locule development,providing new insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying the microsporogenesis in Arabidopsis.Lian-Ge Chen Zhihua Gao Zhiying Zhao Xinye Liu Yongpeng Li Yuxiang Zhang Xigang Liu Yu Sun Wenqiang Tang 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,10:11
3Performance Evaluation for Medium Voltage MIMO-OFDM Power Line Communication System显示文摘Power line communication(PLC)provides intelligent electrical functions such as power quality measurement,fault surveys,and remote control of electrical network.Most of research works have been done in low voltage(LV)scenario due to the fast development of in-home PLC.The aim of this paper is to evaluate the link-level performance of a medium voltage(MV)MIMO-OFDM communication system based on transmission link under underground power line channel.The MIMO channel is modeled as a modified multipath model in the presence of impulsive noise and background noise.We first perform a measurement on the practical MV MIMO channel parameters for a section of buried cable of 1 km long in Ganzhou city,Jiangxi province,China.Based on the measured channel,we design the frame structure based on an IEEE standard for broadband over power line networks[1]to support MV MIMO-OFDM transmission.According to designed frame structure,we design an encoder and a decoder for a dual binary tail-biting turbo code and optimize some key decoder parameters for low bit error rate performance.Finally,the link-level performance for both spatial multiplexing and spatial diversity are evaluated.Numeral results show that MV MIMO-OFDM is a promising approach to provide both high data rate and link reliability for PLC.Yingxue Li Min Zhang Wenguang Zhu Mengyuan Cheng Cheng Zhou Yongpeng Wu 2020China Communications2020,17,1:10
4Hierarchical Ag-SiO_2@Fe_3O_4magnetic composites for elemental mercury removal from non-ferrous metal smelting flue gas显示文摘Hierarchical Ag-SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 magnetic composites were selected for elemental mercury(Hg^0) removal from non-ferrous metal smelting flue gas in this study. Results showed that the hierarchical Ag-SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 magnetic composites had favorable Hg^0 removal ability at low temperature. Moreover, the adsorption capacity of hierarchical magnetic composite is much larger than that of pure Fe_3O_4 and SiO_2@Fe_3O_4. The Hg^0 removal efficiency reached the highest value as approximately 92% under the reaction temperature of 150°C, while the removal efficiency sharply reduced in the absence of O_2. The characterization results indicated that Ag nanoparticles grew on the surface of SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 support. The large surface area of SiO_2 supplied efficient reaction room for Hg and Ag atoms. Ag–Hg amalgam is generated on the surface of the composites. 5Trimetallic oxyhydroxides as active sites for large-current-density alkaline oxygen evolution and overall water splitting显示文摘Earth-abundant electrocatalysts for large-current-density water splitting under alkaline condition are desirable.Oxygen evolution reaction,which is a bottleneck of the overall water splitting,faces the problems of complicated reconstruction and deficiency in rational design of active sites.Herein,we report a series of transition metal chalcogenides for alkaline OER.Among them,FeCoNi(S)displayed a low overpotential of 293 m V to deliver a current density of 500 m A cm^(-2),which is in the top level of non-precious metal based OER electrocatalysts.A combination of(ex)in situ characterizations and DFT calculation shows that Ni(Fe,Co)trimetallic oxyhydroxides were the active sites for highly-efficient OER.Furthermore,for FeCoNi(S),when used as a bifunctional catalyst for water splitting,it only required a cell voltage of 1.84 V to deliver~500 m A cm^(-2) with extraordinary long-term stability over 2000 h.This work provides the comprehension of high-efficiency,robust catalysts for OER and overall water splitting at large current densities in alkaline media.Lei Chen Yunpeng Wang Xin Zhao Yuchao Wang Qian Li Qichen Wang Yougen Tang Yongpeng Lei 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,15:3

7ROS-responsive capsules engineered from EGCG-Zinc networks improve therapeutic angiogenesis in mouse limb ischemia显示文摘The successful treatment of limb ischemia requires that promote angiogenesis along with microenvironment improvement.Zinc ions have been reported to stimulate angiogenesis,but application was limited to the toxicity concerns.We hypothesized that zinc based metal-EGCG capsule(EGCG/Zn Ps)can achieve sustained release Zn2+resulting in reduced toxicity and improve angiogenesis as well as the improvement of microenvironment by ROS scavenging of EGCG.The surface morphology,zeta potential,infrared absorbance peaks and zinc ion release profile of the EGCG/Zn Ps were measured.In vitro,EGCG/Zn showed significantly antioxidant,antiinflammatory and induced cell migration effect.In addition,EGCG/Zn Ps enabled the sustained release of zinc ions,which reduced cytotoxicity and enhanced the secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in vitro and in vivo.In mouse models of limb ischemia,EGCG/Zn Ps promoted angiogenesis and cell proliferation in ischemic tissues.Moreover,EGCG/Zn Ps group exhibited the most significant recovery of limb ischemic score,limb temperature and blood flow than other groups.In conclusion,EGCG/Zn Ps is a safe and promising approach to combine the merit of Zn2+and EGCG,thus enabling the direct application to limb ischemia.Zuoguan Chen Jianwei Duan Yongpeng Diao Youlu Chen Xiaoyu Liang Huiyang Li Yuqing Miao Qing Gao Liang Gui Xiaoli Wang Jing Yang Yongjun Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,1:3
8Dietary ellagic acid ameliorated Clostridium perfringens-induced subclinical necrotic enteritis in broilers via regulating inflammation and cecal microbiota显示文摘Background: Subclinical necrotic enteritis(SNE), a common intestinal disease of broiler caused by Clostridium perfringens, could reduce production performance of broilers by chronic intestinal damage and poor absorption of nutrients. Ellagic acid(EA) has been reported to present antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties on human and animals in many aspects. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect and mechanism of EA in relieving SNE in broilers induced by C. perfringens.Results: C. perfringens challenge decreased body weight(BW), average daily gain(ADG), jejunal villi height/crypt depth(V/C) ratio, the activity of catalase(CAT) and the mRNA expression of zonula occludens 1(ZO-1) in jejunal mucosa of broilers. While feed conversion ratios(FCR), jejunal crypt depth(CD), the activities of myeloperoxidase(MPO) and diamine oxidase(DAO), as well as the concentrations of interleukin 6(IL-6), C-reactive protein(CRP) and procalcitonin(PCT) in serum, the activities of inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) and lysozyme(LZM), the concentration of malondialdehyde(MDA), and the mRNA expressions of claudin-2, TNF-α, IL-1β, TLR-4, TLR-2, NF-κB,JAK3, STAT6 and iNOS in jejunal mucosa of broilers were increased by C. perfringens challenge. Dietary EA supplement relieved these adverse effects, and heightened jejunal villi height(VH), the concentration of D-xylose in plasma, activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD), and the mRNA expression of occludin in jejunal mucosa of broilers.The alpha diversity of cecal microbiota indicated that dietary EA supplement increased observed species and Shannon index. C. perfringens challenge increased the relative abundance of Firmicutes and decreased the relative abundance of Desulfobacterota in cecal microbiota. EA increased the relative abundance of Firmicutes in cecal microbiota. 9AaWRKY17, a positive regulator of artemisinin biosynthesis, is involved in resistance to Pseudomonas syringae in Artemisia annua显示文摘Artemisia annua,a traditional Chinese medicinal plant,remains the only plant source for artemisinin production,yet few genes have been identified to be involved in both the response to biotic stresses,such as pathogens,and artemisinin biosynthesis.Here,we isolated and identified the WRKY transcription factor(TF)AaWRKY17,which could significantly increase the artemisinin content and resistance to Pseudomonas syringae in A.annua.Yeast one-hybrid(Y1H),dual-luciferase(dual-LUC),and electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA)results showed that AaWRKY17 directly bound to the W-box motifs in the promoter region of the artemisinin biosynthetic pathway gene amorpha-4,11-diene synthase(ADS)and promoted its expression.Real-time quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR)analysis revealed that the transcript levels of two defense marker genes,Pathogenesis-Related 5(PR5)and NDR1/HIN1-LIKE 10(NHL10),were greatly increased in AaWRKY17-overexpressing transgenic A.annua plants.Additionally,overexpression of AaWRKY17 in A.annua resulted in decreased susceptibility to P.syringae.These results indicated that AaWRKY17 acted as a positive regulator in response to P.syringae infection.Together,our findings demonstrated that the novel WRKY transcription factor AaWRKY17 could potentially be used in transgenic breeding to improve the content of artemisinin and pathogen tolerance in A.annua.Tiantian Chen Yongpeng Li Lihui Xie Xiaolong Hao Hang Liu Wei Qin Chen Wang Xin Yan Kuanyu Wu-Zhang Xinghao Yao Bowen Peng Yaojie Zhang Xueqing Fu Ling Li Kexuan Tang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
10Electrostatic self-assembly of 2D/2D CoWO_(4)/g-C_(3)N_(4)p-n heterojunction for improved photocatalytic hydrogen evolution:Built-in electric field modulated charge separation and mechanism unveiling显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor heterojunctions are considered as an effective strategy to achieve fast separation of photoinduced carriers.Herein,a novel CoWO_(4)/g-C_(3)N_(4)(CWO/CN)p–n junction was synthesized using an electrostatic selfassembly method.The constructed 2D/2D p–n heterostructure had a rich hetero-interface,increased charge density,and fast separation efficiency of photoinduced carriers.The in-situ Kelvin probe force microscopy confirmed that the separation pathway of photoinduced carriers through the interface obeyed an II-scheme charge transfer mechanism.Experimental results and density functional theory calculations indicated the differences of work function between CWO and CN induced the generation of built-in electric field,ensuring an efficient separation and transfer process of photoinduced carriers.Under the optimized conditions,the CWO/CN heterojunction displayed enhanced photocatalytic H_(2)generation activity under full spectrum and visible lights irradiation,respectively.Our study provides a novel approach to design 2D/2D hetero-structured photocatalysts based on p–n type semiconductor for photocatalytic H_(2)generation.Haiyang Wang Ranran Niu Jianhui Liu Sheng Guo Yongpeng Yang Zhongyi Liu Jun Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:1

15Differential SW16.1 allelic effects and genetic backgrounds contributed to increased seed weight after soybean domestication显示文摘Although seed weight has increased following domestication from wild soybean(Glycine soja) to cultivated soybean(Glycine max), the genetic basis underlying this change is unclear. Using mapping populations derived from chromosome segment substitution lines of wild soybean, we identified SW16.1 as the causative gene underlying a major quantitative trait locus controlling seed weight.SW16.1 encodes a nucleus-localized LIM domaincontaining protein. Importantly, the GsSW16.1 allele from wild soybean accession N24852 had a negative effect on seed weight, whereas the GmSW16.1 allele from cultivar NN1138-2 had a positive effect. Gene expression network analysis,reverse-transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and promoter-luciferase reporter transient expression assays suggested that SW16.1 regulates the transcription of MT4, a positive regulator of seed weight. The natural variations in SW16.1 and other known seed weight genes were analyzed in soybean germplasm. The SW16.1 polymorphism was associated with seed weight in 247 soybean accessions, showing much higher frequency of positive-effect alleles in cultivated soybean than in wild soybean. Interestingly,gene allele matrix analysis of the known seed weight genes revealed that G. max has lost 38.5%of the G. soja alleles and that most of the lost alleles had negative effects on seed weight. 17Competing reduction induced homogeneous oxygen doping to unlock MoS_(2)basal planes for faster polysulfides conversion显示文摘The parasitic polysulfides shuttle effect greatly hinders the practical application of lithium sulfur batteries,and this issue can be addressed by promoting polysulfides conversion with catalytic materials such as Mo S_(2).However,the catalytic activity of Mo S_(2)mainly relies on edge sites,but is limited by inert basal planes.We herein report a novel,facile,ethylene glycol enabled competing reduction strategy to dope Mo S_(2)homogeneously with oxygen atoms so that its inert basal planes can be unlocked.Ethylene glycol works as a reducing agent and competes with thiourea to react with ammonium molybdate,leading to insufficient sulfuration of Mo,and consequent formation of O-Mo S_(2).Our theoretical and experimental investigations indicate that the homogeneously distributed O dopants can create abundant adsorption/-catalytic sites in the Mo S_(2)basal planes,enlarge the inter-plane distance to promote ion transport,and thus enhance the catalytic conversion of polysulfides.The oxygen doped Mo S_(2)(O-Mo S_(2))is supported on carbon nanosheets(CNS)and the composite(O-Mo S_(2)/CNS)is employed to modify the separator of Li-S battery.It gives the battery an initial discharge capacity of 1537 m Ah g-1at 0.2 C,and the battery retains a discharge capacity of 545 m Ah g-1after ultra-long 2000 cycles at 1 C,corresponding to a very small cyclic decay rate of 0.0237%.Even under a raising sulfur loading of 8.2 mg cm^(-2),the Li-S battery also delivers a high discharge capacity(554 m Ah g^(-1))with outstanding cycle stability(84.6%capacity retention)after 100 cycles at 0.5 C.Our work provides a novel,facile approach to fabricate highly catalytically active oxygen-doped Mo S_(2)for advanced Li-S batteries.Da Lei Wenzhe Shang Xu Zhang Yongpeng Li Xiaoshan Shi Shaoming Qiao Qian Wang Qiang Zhang Ce Hao Hui Xu Guohua Chen Gaohong He Fengxiang Zhang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10:1
18Impact of Untreated Sedimentation Tank Sludge Water Recycle on Water Quality During Treatment of Low Turbidity Water显示文摘The overall purpose of this research is to examine the impact of untreated sedimentation tank sludge water( USTSW) recycle on water quality during treatment of low turbidity water in coagulation—sedimentation processes. 950 m L of raw water and different concentrations of 50 m L USTSW are injected into six 1 000 m L beakers without coagulant.The results indicate that USTSW characterized as accumulated suspended solids and organic matter has active ingredients,which possess the equivalent function of coagulant. The optimal blended water turbidity is in the range of 10-20 NTU,within which USTSW recycle achieves the highest save coagulant rate. The mechanism of strengthening coagulation effect when USTSW recycle mainly depends on the chemical effect and physical effect. What is more,through scanning electron microscopy( SEM),it is found that the floc structures with USTSW recycle are more compact than those without USTSW recycle.
