| 1 | Effects of insoluble Zn,Cd,and EDTA on the growth,activities of antioxidant enzymes and uptake of Zn and Cd in Vetiveria zizanioides显示文摘A root-bag experiment was conducted to study the effects of insoluble Zn,Cd,and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA) on the plant growth,activities of antioxidant enzymes,proline,glutathione(GSH),water-soluble proteins and malondialdehyde(MDA) of Vetiveria zizanioides.The V.zizanioides uptake capacity of Zn and Cd also determined.The results showed that plant growth of V.zizanioides was inhibited by Zn and Cd.The shoot dry weight(SDW) and root dry weight(RDW) decrease by 14.2%,14.1%,17.0% and 17.3%,32.5%,35.7%,respectively,compared to the control without EDTA addition.After adding EDTA,shoot and root dry weight decreased over 10% and 15%,respectively.The toxicity from insoluble Zn and Cd in soil on SDW and RDW of V.zizanioides was in order:Zn+Cd > Cd > Zn.The activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT),and contents of MDA and proline increased significantly,while the contents of GSH and water-soluble proteins decreased markedly with increasing Zn and Cd toxicity.With EDTA,shoot and root Zn concentrations increased in the Zn treatment by 7.3% and 37.4%,and Cd concentrations in the combined Zn and Cd treatment increased by 18.6% and 391.9% compared to the treatment without EDTA.However,Zn and Cd concentrations in shoot and roots decreased in the Cd treatment compared to the plants grown in absence of EDTA,with exception of root Cd concentration in the presence of EDTA. | XU Weihong LI Wenyi HE Jianping Balwant Singh XIONG Zhiting | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,2: | 16 |
| 2 | Highly conductive dodecaborate/MXene composites for high performance supercapacitors显示文摘With the increasingly prominent energy and environmental issues,the supercapacitors,as a highly efficient and clean energy conversion and storage devices,meet the requirements well.However,it is still a challenge to enhance the capacitance and energy density of supercapacitors.A novel and highly conductive dodecaborate/MXene composites have been designed for high performance supercapacitors.The surface charge property of MXene was modified by a simple ultrasonic treatment with ammonium ion,and the dodecaborate ion can be inserted into the inner surface of MXene by electrostatic adsorption.Due to the unique icosahedral cage conjugate structure formed by the B-B bond and the highly delocalized three-dimensionalπbond structure of the electrons,the negative charge is delocalied on the whole dodecaborate ion,which reduces the ability to bind to cations.Therefore,the cations can move easily,and the dodecaborate can act as a“lubricant”for ion diffusion between the MXene layers,which significantly improves the ion transfer rate of supercapacitors.The dodecaborate/MXene composites can achieve an extremely high specific capacitance of 366 F.g^-1 at a scan rate of 2 mV.s^-1,which is more than eight times higher than that of MXene(43 F1-)at the same scan rate.Our finding provides a novel route on the fabrication of the high performance supercapacitors. | Zhenxing Li Chang Ma Yangyang Wen Zhiting Wei Xiaofei Xing Junmei Chu Chengcheng Yu Kaili Wang Zhao-Kui Wang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,1: | 7 |

| 4 | Synergistic cerium doping and MXene coupling in layered double hydroxides as efficient electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution显示文摘Oxygen evolution reaction(OER) is a bottle-neck process in many sustainable energy conversion systems due to its sluggish kinetics.The development of cost-effective yet efficient electrocatalysts towards OER is highly desirable but still a great challenge at current stage.Herein,a new type of hybrid nanostructure,consisting of two-dimensional(2D) Cerium-doped NiFe-layered double hydroxide nanoflakes directly grown on the 2D Ti3C2Tx MXene surface(denoted as NiFeCe-LDH/MXene),is designed using a facile insitu coprecipitation method.The resultant NiFeCe-LDH/MXene hybrid presents a hierarchical nanoporous structure,high electrical conductivity and strong interfacial junction because of the synergistic effect of Ce doping and MXene coupling.As a result,the hybrid catalyst exhibits an excellent catalytic activity for OER,delivering a low onset overpotential of 197 mV and an overpotential of 260 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm-2 in the alkaline medium,much lower than its pure LDH counterparts and IrO2 catalyst.Besides,the hybrid catalyst also displays a fast reaction kinetics and a remarkable stable durability.Further theoretic studies using density function theory(DFT) methods reveal that Ce doping could effectively narrow the bandgap of NiFe-LDH and reduce the overpotential in OER process.This work may shed light on the exploration of advanced electrocatalysts for renewable energy conversion and storage systems. | Yangyang Wen Zhiting Wei Jiahao Liu Rui Li Ping Wang Bin Zhou Xiang Zhang Jiang Li Zhenxing Li | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1: | 4 |
| 5 | Upstream CRP-binding site is not essential for CRP-cAMP-mediated inhibition on the nifU promoter显示文摘When the NifA-mediated activation of Kleb-siella pneumontae nifU promoter is recreated in Escherichia coli, it has been observed that CRP-cAMP has an inhibitory effect on the nifU promoter. Sequence analysis indicates that there is a strong CRP-binding site located upstream of the nifU promoter, overlapping completely with a previously identified Nif A-binding site. In vitro gel retardation analysis indicates that this putative CRP-binding site has similar affinity for CRP, when compared with that at the lac promoter, suggesting that CRP could effectively compete with NifA for such a binding site under physiological conditions. When this putative CRP-binding site on nifU was mutated, in vitro gel retardation analysis indicates that CRP can no longer bind to the mutant promoter. | 10 | cAMP receptor protein (CRP) downregulates Klebsiella pneumoniae nif promoters in Escherichia coli显示文摘In enteric bacteria, in response to the PTS system, the cAMP receptor protein (CRP) mediates the glucose effect, via regulating σ70-dependent catabolic genes at transcriptional level. In this study, it is observed that the nitrogen fixation capacity of Klebsiella pneumoniae varies strongly when cells are grown on different carbohydrates, and this carbon effect occurs at the level of nif gene expression. Here we show that CRP can repress σ54-dependent nif promoters (nifB, nifE, nifF, nifH, nifJ, nifLA and nifU), in a cAMP dependent fashion, in closed related E. coll background. Sequence analysis of these nif promoters indicates that there is no direct correlation between the fold of CRP-cAMP-mediated inhibition and the upstream cis elements at the promoters. In addition, the crp gene of K. pneumoniae has been isolated and sequenced, which is structural and functional highly homologous to that of E. coli. | 15 | Insights into the architecture of human-induced polygenic selection in Duroc pigs显示文摘Background:As one of the most utilized commercial composite boar lines,Duroc pigs have been introduced to China and undergone strongly human-induced selection over the past decades.However,the efficiencies and limitations of previous breeding of Chinese Duroc pigs are largely understudied.The objective of this study was to uncover directional polygenic selection in the Duroc pig genome,and investigate points overlooked in the past breeding process.Results:Here,we utilized the Generation Proxy Selection Mapping(GPSM)on a dataset of 1067 Duroc pigs with 8,766,074 imputed SNPs.GPSM detected a total of 5649 putative SNPs actively under selection in the Chinese Duroc pig population,and the potential functions of the selection regions were mainly related to production,meat and carcass traits.Meanwhile,we observed that the allele frequency of variants related to teat number(NT)relevant traits was also changed,which might be influenced by genes that had pleiotropic effects.First,we identified the direction of selection on NT traits by G,and further pinpointed large-effect genomic regions associated with NT relevant traits by selection signature and GWAS.Combining results of NT relevant traits-specific selection signatures and GWAS,we found three common genome regions,which were overlapped with QTLs related to production,meat and carcass traits besides“teat number”QTLs.This implied that there were some pleiotropic variants underlying NT and economic traits.We further found that rs346331089 has pleiotropic effects on NT and economic traits,e.g.,litter size at weaning(LSW),litter weight at weaning(LWW),days to 100 kg(D100),backfat thickness at 100 kg(B100),and loin muscle area at 100 kg(L100)traits.Conclusions:The selected loci that we identified across methods displayed the past breeding process of Chinese Duroc pigs,and our findings could be used to inform future breeding decision. | Zitao Chen Jinyan Teng Shuqi Diao Zhiting Xu Shaopan Ye Dingjie Qiu Zhe Zhang Yuchun Pan Jiaqi Li Qin Zhang Zhe Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1: | 0 |

| 18 | Cardiovascular Automatic Feedback Control Instrument for Rescuing Critical Patients With Abnormal Blood Pressure显示文摘Objectives Most medical in-struments are designed for diagnosis purpose but very few for clinical treatment. Our research aim is to design and develop a cardiovascular automatic feedback control instrument (CAFCI) for rescuing the critical patients with abnormal blood pressure. Methods The CAFCI was designed on the basis of abundant clinical experiences and on successful mathematic modeling of our experimental data. The blood pressure, pulmonary capillary wedge pressure, and rates of heart beat were measured and inputted into a computer and drugs were chosen by a doctor through a user-friendly interface with the computer. The responses to medication were rapidly acquired and feed back to the computer by automatic detection system in a close-loop system. The data were refreshed every 7.5 sec in order to regulate the speed and dosage of the medications that were given. Results The experimental results with ten dogs showed that the CAFCI system took samples promptly and accurately so that the targeted blood pressure could be reached reliably based on our input parameters and our designing requirements. | 19 | Improving open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current of high-efficiency silicon-based planar heterojunction solar cells by combining V_(2)O_(5)with PEDOT:PSS显示文摘In recent years,a novel PEDOT:PSS/n-Si planar heterojunction solar cell has been extensively studied in the photovoltaic field.Different V_(2)O_(5)-IPA concentrations mixed in PEDOT:PSS samples as hole transport layer were prepared by means of spin coating technique and mechanical mixing of organic and inorganic materials.V_(2)O_(5)was studied for its effects on the surface morphology,chemical composition,and optical transmittance of PEDOT:PSS films.The findings of the study show that the addition of V_(2)O_(5)particles changes the surface morphology of PEDOT:PSS films and promotes its superior ohmic contact with the Si interface.Furthermore,PEDOT:PSS incorporated with V_(2)O_(5)particles that have outstanding optical and semiconductor properties reduces the rate of carrier recombination at the device interface and blocks electron transport to the anode in the fabricated Si-based solar cells.When compared to conventional PEDOT:PSS/Si planar heterojunction solar cells,the fill factor,photoelectric conversion efficiency,open-circuit voltage,and short-circuit current density of the devices prepared in this study can be significantly improved,reaching up to 70.98%,15.17%,652 mV and 32.8 mA/cm^(2),respectively.This research provides a promising and effective method for improving the photoelectric conversion performance of PEDOT:PSS/Si heterojunction solar cells,which enables the application of V_(2)O_(5)in Si solar cells. | Zhiting Luo Chen Yang Xiuhua Chen Wenhui Ma Shaoyuan Li Kaixin Fu | 2023 | Journal of Materiomics2023,9,3: | 0 |
