| 1 | Mesenchymal stem cells derived from human placenta suppress allogeneic umbilical cord blood lymphocyte proliferation显示文摘ABSTRACTHuman placenta-derived mononuclear cells (MNC) were isolated by a Percoll density gradient and cultured in mesen-chymal stem cell (MSC) maintenance medium. The homogenous layer of adherent cells exhibited a typical fibroblast-like morphology, a large expansive potential, and cell cycle characteristics including a subset of quiescent cells. In vitrodifferentiation assays showed the tripotential differentiation capacity of these cells toward adipogenic, osteogenic andchondrogenic lineages. Flow cytometry analyses and immunocytochemistry stain showed that placental MSC was ahomogeneous cell population devoid of hematopoietic cells, which uniformly expressed CD29, CD44, CD73, CD105,CD166, laminin, fibronectin and vimentin while being negative for expression of CD31, CD34, CD45 and α-smoothmuscle actin. Most importantly, immuno-phenotypic analyses demonstrated that these cells expressed class I majorhistocompatibility complex (MHC-I), but they did not express MHC-II molecules. Additionally these cells could sup-press umbilical cord blood (UCB) lymphocytes proliferation induced by cellular or nonspecific mitogenic stimuli. Thisstrongly implies that they may have potential application in allograft transplantation. | 3 | Circulation anomalies associated with interannual variation of early- and late-summer precipitation in Northeast China显示文摘Summer rainfall is vital for crops in Northeast China. In this study, we investigated large-scale circulation anomalies related to monthly summer rainfall in Northeast China using European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecast ERA-40 reanalysis data and monthly rainfall data from 79 stations in Northeast China. The results show that the interannual variation in rainfall over Northeast China is mainly dominated by a cold vortex in early summer (May-June) and by the East Asian summer monsoon in late summer (July-August). In early summer, corresponding to increased rainfall in Northeast China, an anomalous cyclonic anomaly tilted westward with height appears to the northwest and cold vortices occur frequently. In late summer, the rainfall anomaly is mainly controlled by a northward shift of the local East Asian jet stream in the upper troposphere and the northwest extension of the western Pacific subtropical high (WPSH) in the lower troposphere. The enhanced southwesterly anomaly in the west of the WPSH transports more moisture into Northeast China and results in more rainfall. | 4 | Oroxindin inhibits macrophage NLRP3 inflammasome activation in DSS-induced ulcerative colitis in mice via suppressing TXNIP-dependent NF-κB pathway显示文摘Oroxindin is a flavonoid isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Huang-Qin,which has shown various pharmacological activities including anti-inflammatory,antitumor,antioxidant,etc.Thus far,the effect of oroxindin on colonic inflammation and the underlying mechanism remain unknown.In this study,we investigated the tissue distribution of oroxindin and its therapeutic effects on ulcerative colitis(UC)as well as the underlying mechanisms.UC model was established in mice by administrating dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)in drinking water for 7 d.We first showed that oroxindin was largely absorbed by the colon as an active ingredient after normal mice received Huang-Qin-Tang,a traditional Chinese medicine decoction.UC mice were then treated with oroxindin(12.5,25,50 mg-kg^-1·d^-1,i.g.)for 10 d.We found that oroxindin treatment greatly suppressed massive macrophages infiltration and attenuated pathological changes in colonic tissue.Furthermore,oroxindin treatment significantly inhibited the generation of IL-13 and IL-18 in the colon via inhibiting the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor 3(NLRP3)inflammasome formation and activation.In cultured macrophages,LPS induced NLRp3 inflammasome formation and caspase-1 activation,which were suppressed by oroxindin(12.5-50μM).In LPS-treated macrophages,oroxindin dose-dependently restored the expression of TXNIP protein,leading to suppressing TXNIP-dependent NF-κB activation.In conclusion,these results demonstrate that oroxindin could be absorbed by the colon and attenuate inflammatory responses via inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome formation and activation,which is related to the inhibitory effect on TXNIP-dependent NF-κB-signaling pathway.Hence,oroxindin has the potential of becoming an effective drug for treating UC. | Qi Liu Rui Zuo Kai Wang Fei-fei Nong Ya-jun Fu Shao-wei Huang Zeng-feng Pan Yi Zhang Xia Luo Xiang-liang Deng Xiao-xue Zhang Lian Zhou Yang Chen | 2020 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020，41，6： | 15 |
| 5 | Chinese Medicine Sequential Therapy Improves Pregnancy Outcomes after Surgery for Endometriosis-Associated Infertility: A Multicenter Randomized Double-blind Placebo Parallel Controlled Clinical Trial显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine(CM)improving pregnancy outcomes after surgery for endometriosis-associated infertility.Methods:A multicenter,randomized,doubleblind placebo parallel controlled clinical trial was designed.A total of 202 patients who had laparoscopy for endometriosis-associated infertility with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome were included and randomly divided into the CM treatment group and placebo control group at a ratio of 1:1 using a central block randomization from May 2014 to September 2017,101 patients in each group.The two groups received continuous intervention at 1–5 days after surgery,for 6 menstrual cycles.Before ovulation,the CM group was treated Huoxue Xiaoyi Granule(活血消异颗粒);after ovulation,Bushen Zhuyun Granule(补肾助孕颗粒)was involved.The control group was treated with placebo.Transvaginal ultrasonography was performed every menstrual cycle during the treatment,and female hormone levels in the follicular and luteal phases were measured during the 1 st,3 rd and 6 th menstrual cycles.The analysis was continued until pregnancy.The primary outcomes were clinical pregnancy rate and pregnancy outcome,and the secondary outcomes were follicular development and endometrial receptivity.Safety evaluations were performed before and after treatment.Results:(1)Clinical pregnancy and live birth rates:the clinical pregnancy and live birth rates of the CM group were significantly higher than those of the placebo group[44.6%(45/101)vs.29.7%(30/101),34.7%(35/101)vs.20.8%(21/101),both P<0.05].(2)Follicle development:the incidence of dominant follicles,rate of cumulative cycle ovulation,and rate of cumulative cycle mature follicle ovulation were significantly higher in the CM group than those in the placebo group[93.8%(350/373)vs.89.5%(341/381),80.4%(275/342)vs.69.1%(253/366),65.8%(181/275)vs 56.1%(142/253),P<0.05 or P<0.01]).The incidence of cumulative cycle luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome was significantly lower in the CM group than in the placebo group[11.7%(40/342)vs.17.8%(65/366),P<0.05).(3)Endometrial receptivity:after treatment,both endometrial types and endometrial blood flow types in the CM group were mainly types A and B,while those in the placebo group were mainly types B and C,with a significant difference between the two groups(both P<0.05).(4)Adverse events:the incidence of adverse events between the two groups was not significantly different(P>0.05).Conclusion:Strategies for activating blood circulation-regulating Gan(Liver)-tonifying Shen(Kidney)sequential therapy can effectively improve the clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate of endometriosis-associated infertility with qi stagnation and blood stasis after laparoscopy,improve follicular development,promote ovulation,improve endometrial receptivity,while being a safe treatment option.(Trial registration No.NCT02676713). | ZHAO Rui-hua LIU Yong LU Dan WU Ying WANG Xiao-yun LI Wei-li ZENG Cheng MENG Qing-wei LIAN Feng-mei ZHOU Jun SHI Yun SUN Wei-wei HAN Qian TANG Yi SHI Guang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2020，26，2： | 13 |
| 6 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 8 | Geologic investigation and mapping of the Sinus Iridum quadrangle from Clementine, SELENE, and Chang’e-1 data显示文摘The objectives of lunar satellite remote sensing are to study lunar surface characteristics, inner structure, and its evolution history. The contents of TiO 2 and FeO are assessed from Clementine UV/VIS data for Sinus Iridum. The geologic stratigraphic units and crates are interpreted visually based on SELENE Terrain Camera (TC) images and the spatial resolution of which is up to 10 m. And the geologic ages of different stratigraphic units are calculated by the crater size-frequency distributions measurements. The gravity anomaly is generated from SELENE gravity model (SGM90d) to show its difference from Mare Imbrium. Furthermore, the thickness of lunar regolith is also derived from microwave radiometer data of Chang’e-1 satellite. Integrating these results, it shows that the Sinus Iridum is different from the Mare Imbrium in inner structure and surface sedimentation. And its history of subsidence, deposition, volcanism, and impact is described. | 10 | Correlation of An Ultrasonic Scoring System and Intraoperative Blood Loss in Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders: A Retrospective Cohort Study显示文摘Objective This study aims to investigate the correlation of an ultrasonic scoring system with intraoperative blood loss(IBL) in placenta accreta spectrum(PAS) disorders.Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted between January 2015 and November 2019.Clinical data for patients with PAS have been obtained from medical records. Generalized additive models were used to explore the nonlinear relationships between ultrasonic scores and IBL. Logistic regressions were used to determine the differences in the risk of IBL ≥ 1,500 m L among groups with different ultrasonic scores.Results A total of 332 patients participated in the analysis. Generalized additive models showed a significant positive correlation between score and blood loss. The amount of IBL was increased due to the rise in the ultrasonic score. All cases were divided into three groups according to the scores(low score group: ≤ 6 points, n = 147;median score group: 7-9 points, n = 126;and high score group: ≥ 10 points, n = 59). | 13 | Decreased Average Albumin-to-Globulin Ratio During Radiotherapy Worsens the Prognosis of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma:Implications for Nutritional Management显示文摘Objective Malnutrition and cachexia are common in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)patients undergoing radiotherapy.This study evaluated how malnutrition-and cachexia-related indicators,including the albumin-to-globulin ratio(AGR),and their changes during radiotherapy predict the treatment outcomes.Methods We reviewed a total of 172 ESCC patients receiving radiotherapy(as a primary cohort)and performed a Cox regression analysis on potential prognostic factors,including the AGR,as well as the TNM stage and concomitant chemotherapy.A subsequent receiver operating characteristics(ROC)curve and Kaplan Meier survival analysis was performed for ESCC patients stratified by the average AGR cut-off point.Results In addition to the well-documented factors(i.e.TNM stage and concomitant chemotherapy),the average AGR was a significant prognostic factor for ESCC patients receiving radiotherapy.By plotting the ROC curve of the average AGR with regard to the ESCC prognosis,we obtained cut-off points for the overall patients(cut-off point:1.5,AUC:0.636),for patients with stageⅡ/Ⅲdisease(cut-off point:1.5,AUC:0.611),and for patients with stageⅣdisease(cut-off point:1.84,AUC:0.900).The ESCC patients with higher average AGR had a significantly more favorable OS compared with those with a lower average AGR.Notably,ESCC patients who had an increasingΔAGR during radiotherapy had a considerably more favorable OS compared with those with a decreasingΔAGR.All of these findings were reproducible in the validation cohort.Conclusion A lower average AGR is indicative of a poorer prognosis for ESCC patients following radiotherapy.Improving the nutritional status and preventing or ameliorating cachexia might contribute to improving the prognosis of ESCC patients. | Fen Cai Xiu Lian Zhang Xiao Ling Wu Ting Ting Zhuang Lei Huang Yi Fei Tu Yuan Yuan Lu Min Xia Jiang Qing Ying Zhang Yan Lin Chang Chun Ma | 2021 | Journal of Nutritional Oncology2021，6，2： | 8 |

| 15 | Endocan-expressing microvessel density as a prognostic factor for survival in human gastric cancer显示文摘AIM: To investigate the expression of endocan in tumour vessels and the relationships between endocan and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and prognosis in gastric cancer.METHODS: This study included 142 patients with confirmed gastric cancer in a single cancer centre between 2008 and 2009. Clinicopathologic features were determined, and an immunohistochemical analysis of endocan-expressing microvessel density(MVD)(endocan-MVD), VEGF and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2(VEGFR2) was performed. Potential relationships between endocan-MVD and clinicopathological variables were assessed using a Student's t-test or an analysis of variance test. Spearman's rank correlation was applied to evaluate the relationship between endocan-MVD and the expression of VEGF/VEGFR2. long-term survival of these patients was analysed using univariate and multivariate analyses.RESULTS: Positive staining of endocan was observed in most of the gastric cancer tissues(108/142) and in fewer of the normal gastric tissues. Endocan-MVD was not associated with gender or histological type(P > 0.05), while endocan-MVD was associated with tumour size,Borrmann type, tumour differentiation, tumour invasion, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage(P < 0.05). According to the Spearman's rank correlation analysis, endocan-MVD had a positive correlation with VEGF(r = 0.167, P = 0.047) and VEGFR2(r = 0.410, P = 0.000). The univariate analysis with a log-rank test indicated that the patients with a high level of endocan-MVD had a significantly poorer overall survival rate than those with a low level of endocan-MVD(17.9% vs 64.0%, P = 0.000). | 16 | Silencing of PRR11 suppresses cell proliferation and induces autophagy in NSCLC cells显示文摘Our previous studies have demonstrated that proline-rich protein 11(PRR11)is a novel tumor-related gene and implicates in regulating the proliferation in lung cancer.However,its precise role in cell cycle progression remains unclear.Our recent evidences show that PRR11 silencing has an effect on autophagy in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC)cells.Two human NSCLC cell lines,H1299 and A549 were transiently transfected with against PRR11 siRNA.The Cell Counting Kit-8 and plate clone formation assay showed that downregulation of PRR11 inhibited the cell proliferation associated with cell cycle related genes reduced.And our data suggested that PRR11 depletion expression enhanced the autophagosomes formation,followed with downregulation of P62 and upregulation of LC3-II protein.Furthermore,the immunoblotting results indicated that silencing of PRR11 inactivated the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.Collectively,these results demonstrated PRR11 had an effective role in autophagy in NSCLC cells through Akt/mTOR autophagy signaling pathways.Therefore,it is helpful to clarify the function of PRR11 in tumorigenesis of NSCLC. | Lian Zhang Yunlong Lei Ying Zhang Yi Li Youquan Bu Fangzhou Song Chundong Zhang | 2018 | Genes & Diseases2018，5，2： | 6 |
| 17 | The role and clinical implications of microRNAs in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is common and one of the most aggressive of all human cancers. Recent studies have indicated that miRNAs, a class of small noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally, directly contribute to HCC by targeting many critical regulatory genes. Several miRNAs are involved in hepatitis B or hepatitis C virus replication and virus-induced changes, whereas others participate in multiple intracellular signaling pathways that modulate apoptosis, cell cycle checkpoints, and growth-factor-stimulated responses. When disturbed, these pathways appear to result in malignant transformation and ultimately HCC development. Recently, miRNAs circulating in the blood have acted as possible early diagnostic markers for HCC. These miRNA also could serve as indicators with respect to drug efficacy and be prognostic in HCC patients. Such biomarkers would assist stratification of HCC patients and help direct personalized therapy. Here, we summarize recent advances regarding the role of miRNAs in HCC development and progression. | 18 | Docetaxel, cisplatin, and 5-fluorouracil compared with epirubicin,cisplatin, and 5-fluorouracil regimen for advanced gastric cancer:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND As the first-line regimens for the treatment of advanced gastric cancer, both docetaxel, cisplatin, and 5-fluorouracil(DCF) and epirubicin, cisplatin, and 5-fluorouracil(ECF) regimens are commonly used in clinical practice, but there is still controversy about which is better.AIM To compare the efficacy and safety of DCF and ECF regimens by conducting this meta-analysis.METHODS Computer searches in PubMed, EMBASE, Ovid MEDLINE, Science Direct, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library and Scopus were performed to find the clinical studies of all comparisons between DCF and ECF regimens. We used progression-free survival(PFS), overall survival(OS), objective response rate(ORR), disease control rate(DCR), and adverse effects(AEs) as endpoints for analysis.RESULTS Our meta-analysis included seven qualified studies involving a total of 598 patients. The pooled hazard ratios between the DCF and ECF groups were comparable in PFS(95%CI: 0.58-1.46, P = 0.73), OS(95%CI: 0.65-1.10, P = 0.21),and total AEs(95%CI: 0.93-1.29, P = 0.30). The DCF group was significantly better than the ECF group in terms of ORR(95%CI: 1.13-1.75, P = 0.002) and DCR(95%CI: 1.03-1.41, P = 0.02). However, the incidence rate of grade 3-4 AEs was also greater in the DCF group than in the ECF group(95%CI: 1.16-1.88, P = 0.002),especially for neutropenia and febrile neutropenia.CONCLUSION With better ORR and DCR values, the DCF regimen seems to be more suitable for advanced gastric cancer than the ECF regimen. | 19 | Diffusion Bonding of Ti_3Al Base Alloy显示文摘: The effects of diffusion bonding temperature and holding time on the joint strength of Ti3Al base alloy has been investigated in this paper. The shear strength of Ti-14Al-21Nb-3Mo-V alloy diffusion bonding joint under pressure of 12 MPa at 990℃ for 70 min was obtained to 797.6 MPa which approaches the base material strength. In addition, a short-time diffosion bonding process was studied in order to decrease the bonding cost. | 20 | Human adenovirus(HAdV)infection in children with acute respiratory tract infections in Guangzhou,China,2010–2021:a molecular epidemiology study显示文摘Background Human adenovirus(HAdV)infection can cause a variety of diseases.It is a major pathogen of pediatric acute respiratory tract infections(ARIs)and can be life-threatening in younger children.We described the epidemiology and subtypes shifting of HAdV among children with ARI in Guangzhou,China.Methods We conducted a retrospective study of 161,079 children diagnosed with acute respiratory illness at the Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center between 2010 and 2021.HAdV specimens were detected by real-time PCR and the hexon gene was used for phylogenetic analysis.Results Before the COVID-19 outbreak in Guangzhou,the annual frequency of adenovirus infection detected during this period ranged from 3.92%to 13.58%,with an epidemic peak every four to fve years.HAdV demonstrated a clear seasonal distribution,with the lowest positivity in March and peaking during summer(July or August)every year.A signifcant increase in HAdV cases was recorded for 2018 and 2019,which coincided with a shift in the dominant HAdV subtype from HAdV-3 to HAdV-7.The latter was associated with a more severe disease compared to HAdV-3.The average mortality proportion for children infected with HAdV from 2016 to 2019 was 0.38%but increased to 20%in severe cases.After COVID-19 emerged,HAdV cases dropped to 2.68%,suggesting that non-pharmaceutical interventions probably reduced the transmission of HAdV in the community.Conclusion Our study provides the foundation for the understanding of the epidemiology of HAdV and its associated risks in children in Southern China. | Yi Chen Tao Lin Chang‑Bing Wang Wan‑Li Liang Guang‑Wan Lian Mark Zanin Sook‑San Wong Xin‑Gui Tian Jia‑Yu Zhong Ying‑Ying Zhang Jia‑Hui Xie Ling‑Ling Zheng Fei‑Yan Chen Run Dang Ming‑Qi Zhao Yi‑Yu Yang Rong Zhou Bing Zhu | 2022 | World Journal of Pediatrics2022，18，8： | 5 |
