1The receptor-like cytoplasmic kinase RIPK regulates broad-spectrum ROS signaling in multiple layers of plant immune system显示文摘Production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)via the activity of respiratory burst oxidase homologs(RBOHs)plays a vital role in multiple layers of the plant immune system,including pathogen-associated molecular pattern-triggered immunity(PTI),damage-associated molecular pattern-triggered immunity(DTI),effector-triggered immunity(ETI),and systemic acquired resistance(SAR).It is generally established that RBOHD is activated by different receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases(RLCKs)in response to various immune elicitors.In this study,we showed that RPM1-INDUCED PROTEIN KINASE(RIPK),an RLCK VII subfamily member,contributes to ROS production in multiple layers of plant immune system.The ripk mutants showed reduced ROS production in response to treatment with all examined immune elicitors that trigger PTI,DTI,ETI,and SAR.We found that RIPK can directly phosphorylate the N-terminal region of RBOHD in vitro,and the levels of phosphorylated S343/S347 residues of RBOHD are sigfniciantly lower in ripk mutants compared with the wild type upon treatment with all tested immune elicitors.We further demonstrated that phosphorylation of RIPK is required for its function in regulating RBOHD-mediated ROS production.Similar to rbohd,ripk mutants showed reduced stomatal closure and impaired SAR,and were susceptible to the necrotrophic bacterium Pectobacterium carotovorum.Collectively,our results indicate that RIPK regulates broad-spectrum RBOHD-mediated ROS signaling during PTI,DTI,ETI,and SAR,leading to subsequent RBOHD-dependent immune responses.Ping Li Lulu Zhao Fan Qi Nang Myint Phyu Sin Htwe Qiuying Li Dawei Zhang Fucheng Lin Keke Shang-Guan Yan Liang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,10:5

9UvWhi2 Is Required for Stress Response and Pathogenicity in Ustilaginoidea virens显示文摘Some stress response-related genes have been identified in Ustilaginoidea virens,but it is not clear whether and how defects of stress responses affect the pathogenesis processes of U.virens.In this study,we identified a general stress response factor UvWHI2 as a homolog of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Whi2 in U.virens.The relative expression level of Uv Whi2 was significantly up-regulated during infection,suggesting that UvWHI2 may be involved in pathogenesis.Furthermore,knockout of Uv Whi2 showed decreased mycelial growth,increased conidiation in the potato sucrose medium and a defect in pathogenicity.In addition,the RNA-Seq and phenotypic analysis showed that UvWHI2 was involved in response to oxidative,hyperosmotic,cell wall stress and nutrient limitation.Further studies revealed that the defects of stress responses of the?Uvwhi2 mutant affected the formation of secondary spores on the nutrient limited surface and the rice surface,resulting in a significant reduction of pathogenicity of U.virens.Our results suggest that UvWHI2 is necessary for fungal growth,stress responses and the formation of secondary spores in U.virens.In addition,the defects of stress responses can affect the formation of secondary spores on the rice surface,and then compromise the pathogenicity of U.virens.MENG Shuai QIU Jiehua XIONG Meng LIU Zhiquan Jane Sadhna JAGERNATH LIN Fucheng SHI Huanbin KOU Yanjun 2022Rice science2022,29,1:0

14Comparative coherence between layered and traditional semiconductors: unique opportunities for heterogeneous integration显示文摘As Moore’s law deteriorates,the research and development of new materials system are crucial for transitioning into the post Moore era.Traditional semiconductor materials,such as silicon,have served as the cornerstone of modern technologies for over half a century.This has been due to extensive research and engineering on new techniques to continuously enrich silicon-based materials system and,subsequently,to develop better performed silicon-based devices.Meanwhile,in the emerging post Moore era,layered semiconductor materials,such as transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),have garnered considerable research interest due to their unique electronic and optoelectronic properties,which hold great promise for powering the new era of next generation electronics.As a result,techniques for engineering the properties of layered semiconductors have expanded the possibilities of layered semiconductor-based devices.However,there remain significant limitations in the synthesis and engineering of layered semiconductors,impeding the utilization of layered semiconductor-based devices for mass applications.As a practical alternative,heterogeneous integration between layered and traditional semiconductors provides valuable opportunities to combine the distinctive properties of layered semiconductors with well-developed traditional semiconductors materials system.Here,we provide an overview of the comparative coherence between layered and traditional semiconductors,starting with TMDs as the representation of layered semiconductors.We highlight the meaningful opportunities presented by the heterogeneous integration of layered semiconductors with traditional semiconductors,representing an optimal strategy poised to propel the emerging semiconductor research community and chip industry towards unprecedented advancements in the coming decades.Zhuofan Chen Xiaonan Deng Simian Zhang Yuqi Wang Yifei Wu Shengxian Ke Junshang Zhang Fucheng Liu Jianing Liu Yingjie Liu Yuchun Lin Andrew Hanna Zhengcao Li Chen Wang 2023International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2023,5,4:0
15Nonclassical Bose-Einstein Condensate显示文摘A scheme for the generation of a nonclassical Bose-Einstein condensate is proposed in a J_(g)=1→J_(e)=0 system where ultracold atoms are populated in one ground-state sublevel|g_〉and form a Bose-Einstein condensate.By coupling the condensate to copropagating classical(σ^(-))and quantum(σ^(+))non-resonant travelling-wave laser fields,effective two-photon excitations between two ground-state sublevels|g_〉and|g+〉create a new condensate in|g+〉.For an appropriate selection of the interaction time and atom-field coupling strengths,the quantum features of the quantized laser field,which may be prepared in a certain nonclassical state,can be exchanged with those of the quantum density field of the generated condensate.ZENG Heping LIN Fucheng 1995Chinese Physics Letters1995,12,10:0

18Nonclassical Features Interchange Between the Cavity Field and Quantized Trap显示文摘A novel recipe is proposed to generate nonclassical vibrational states of the center-of mass motions of ions in a quantized trap,based on the quantum conversion between the quantum cavity fields and the quantized trap.It is shown that,when an ion trap system interacts with the eigen mode of a single-mode Fabry-Pérot cavity where the trap was set in,and a particularly selected external laser pulse through Raman transitions,the interchange of the quantum features between the quantum light states and the quantized trap states occurs.This kind of quantum conversion can be used to prepare some nonclassical trap states in an ion trap as well as to measure the properties of initial nonclassical vibrational states.ZENG Heping LIN Fucheng 1995Chinese Physics Letters1995,12,3:0
