1Robust superhydrophobic polyurethane sponge functionalized with perfluorinated graphene oxide for efficient immiscible oil/water mixture, stable emulsion separation and crude oil dehydration显示文摘In recent years, graphene oxide(GO), prepared by the modified Hummers’ method, and its derivatives have become a focus of research owing to their outstanding physical and chemical properties and low cost. Drawing inspiration from the mussel protein,a facile and environmentally-friendly method was employed to fabricate superhydrophobic/superoleophilic reduced graphene oxide(rGO) derivative. The preparation comprises two steps: coating GO nanosheets with polydopamine(PDA) and subsequent reaction with 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecanethiol. Due to the excellent adhesive ability of PDA, the resulting f PDA modified rGO nanosheets(rGO-f PDA) were firmly immobilized onto polyurethane(PU) sponge skeleton by a simple drop-coating method. The as-prepared rGO-f PDA functionalized sponge exhibited superhydrophobic behavior with a water contact angle of 162°±2°, high organic adsorption capacity, recyclability and stable oil/water separation behavior under different acidic/alkaline conditions. 3A New Material of Lindera (Lauraceae) of the Late Pliocene from Tengchong, Yunnan and the Genus' Biogeography Significance显示文摘Lindera is a large genus of graceful, pleasantly scented and common native trees and shrubs of southern China and neighboring regions of SE Asia. There is a well-documented Cenozoic fossil record not only in these regions but also from elsewhere. A new fossil leaf record has been found in diatomite beds from the Upper Pliocene Mangbang Formation of Tuantian, Tengchong County, Yunnan. The leaves are identified and assigned to Lindera acuminatissima K. Q. Dao et B. N. Sun sp. nov., by comparing their leaf architecture and epidermal characteristics with those of 51 extant Lauraceae species and with 15 known fossil Lindera taxa. The specimens have well-preserved cuticles, with typical leaf architecture and epidermal characteristics of the Lauraceae, including entire leaf margin, intramarginal veins, basal ternate acrodromous primary veins, one-cell trichome base, paracytic stomatal apparatus, sunken guard cells, subsidiary hardly staining cells and presence of oil cells. These characteristics are consistent with Lindera sect. Daphnidium but are different from reported fossil and extant species of Lindera. The cuticles of Lindera are fragile and delicate with only three Lindera fossils reported based on this tissue. In terms of paleobiogeography, the fossil record indicates that Lindera is distributed in high- to mid-latitude regions of the Late Cretaceous to Paleocene northern hemisphere. Coincidentally, the records of Lindera located on both sides of the Bering Land Bridge possibly support the hypothesis that ancient plants extended via transcontinental exchanges through the Bering Corridor. In the Eocene, ancient Lindera spread to Europe through the Northern Degeer Route and the Southern Thulian Route. At the same time, ancient Lindera spread into Central Asia. Climatic changes and tectonization since the Neogene prevented the propagation of Lindera throughout Asia, North America and Europe, and hence the distribution areas have just regressed to the low-latitude regions in Asia and North America. From the Paleogene to the Neogene, Lindera has changed its distribution by surviving extreme climate changes. Quaternary glaciations ultimately led to Lindera becoming extinct in Europe. 5Biosynthesis of the Central Piperidine Nitrogen Heterocycle in Series a Thiopeptides显示文摘Summary of main observation and conclusion Thiopeptides,arising from complex posttranslational modifications of a genetically encoded precursor peptide,are of great interest due to their structural complexity and important biological activities.All of these antibiotics share a macrocyclic peptidyl core that contains a central,six-membered nitrogen heterocycle and are classified into five series a-e based on the oxidation state of the central nitrogenous ring.Here,we report that the biosynthesis of the central piperidine heterocycle of series a thiopeptides relies on the activity of homologues of an F420H2-dependent reductase TppX4 by exploiting and characterizing the piperidine-containing thiopeptin biosynthetic gene (tpp)cluster in Streptomyces tateyamensis.In vitro reconstruction of TppX4 activity demonstrated that the piperidine heterocycle of thiopeptins was transformed from a dehydropiperidine heterocycle,and TppX4 tolerated the changes in the C-termini and macrocyclic peptidyl core of substrate and also tolerated dehyropiperidine-containing monocyclic or bicyclic thiopeptides.The identification of TppX4 and its substrate tolerance enriches the biosynthetic toolbox for development of additional thiopeptide analogs for clinical drug screening.Jingyu Liu Zhi Lin Hua Chen Heng Guo Jiang Tao Wen Liu 2019Chinese Journal of Chemistry2019,37,1:2
6Metastable liquid properties and rapid crystal growth of Ti-Ni-Al alloy investigated by electrostatic levitation and molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘Electrostatic levitation technique and molecular dynamics simulation were performed to investigate the thermophysical properties,liquid structure and crystal growth dependence on undercooling of Ti_(85)Ni_(10)Al_(5) alloy.The liquid Ti_(85)Ni_(10)Al_(5) alloy was substantially undercooled up to 335 K(0.18T_(L)).As undercooling increased,the potential energy of the liquid alloy decreased and the alloy entered into a high metastable state.At this state,the atoms tended to bond with each other and the clusters were inclined to convert into high-coordinated clusters,as confirmed by the fraction of the high-coordinated clusters variation.The enlarged clusters and enhanced local structure stability contributed to the increase of the thermophysical parameters and crystal growth velocity,and eventually dendrite refinement.The density,the specific heat and the surface tension of liquid alloy exhibited a linear relation with temperature and the shear viscosity of liquid alloy showed exponential variation which showed good agreement with the calculation results by molecular dynamics simulation.The growth velocity first increased slowly and then dramatically once the undercooling exceeded the threshold.The achieved maximum crystal growth velocity was 12.4 m s^(−1) and it was up to 326 times of the value at 94 K undercooling.XIAO RuiLin RUAN Ying LIN MaoJie QIN JingYu LI Hui HU Liang WEI BingBo 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,10:2

11Structural analysis of the promoter of tomato 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate synthase 6 gene(Le-ACS6)显示文摘Ethylene plays an important role in the regulation of many growth and developmental processes of higher plants. In tomato,Le-ACS6,a member of the ACC synthase multigene family involved in system 1 ethylene biosynthesis during fruit ripening,is subject to negative feedback regulation by ethylene. To identify the cis-elements that are responsible for the negative feedback control,we established an in vitro transient assay system employing particle bombardment on mature-green tomato fruit pericarp to examine the expression of a luciferase(LUC) reporter gene driven by a 5′-serially deleted Le-ACS6 promoter. The results localized putative cis-elements required for negative ethylene-response between -347 and -266 upstream from the translational start site ATG. Several lines of stable transformation of the Le-ACS6 promoter and GUS reporter fusion gene containing internal deletion from -347 to -266 were generated. 16A robust deformed convolutional neural network(CNN)for image denoising显示文摘Due to strong learning ability,convolutional neural networks(CNNs)have been developed in image denoising.However,convolutional operations may change original distributions of noise in corrupted images,which may increase training difficulty in image denoising.Using relations of surrounding pixels can effectively resolve this problem.Inspired by that,we propose a robust deformed denoising CNN(RDDCNN)in this paper.The proposed RDDCNN contains three blocks:a deformable block(DB),an enhanced block(EB)and a residual block(RB).The DB can extract more representative noise features via a deformable learnable kernel and stacked convolutional architecture,according to relations of surrounding pixels.The EB can facilitate contextual interaction through a dilated convolution and a novel combination of convolutional layers,batch normalisation(BN)and ReLU,which can enhance the learning ability of the proposed RDDCNN.To address long-term dependency problem,the RB is used to enhance the memory ability of shallow layer on deep layers and construct a clean image.Besides,we implement a blind denoising model.Experimental results demonstrate that our denoising model outperforms popular denoising methods in terms of qualitative and quantitative analysis.Codes can be obtained at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460as0kupvbfwb0vk6bx5.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/hellloxiaotian/RDDCNN.Qi Zhang Jingyu Xiao Chunwei Tian Jerry Chun‐Wei Lin Shichao Zhang 2023CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2023,8,2:1
