1Chemical composition of PM_(2.5) during winter in Tianjin,China显示文摘PM2.5 samples for 24 h were collected during winter in Tianjin,China. The ambient mass concentration and chemical composition of the PM2.5 were determined. Ionic species were analyzed by ion chromatog-raphy,while carbonaceous species were determined with the IMPROVE thermal optical reectance(TOR) method,and inorganic elements were measured by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spec-trometer. The daily PM2.5 mass concentrations ranged from 48.2 to 319.2 g/m3 with an arithmetic average of 144.6 g/m3. The elevated PM2.5 in winter was mostly attributed to combustion sources such as vehicle exhaust,heating,cooking and industrial emissions,low wind speeds and high relative humidity(RH) ,which were favorable for pollutant accumulation and formation of secondary pollutants. By chem-ical mass balance,it was estimated that about 89.1% of the PM2.5 mass concentrations were explained by carbonaceous species,secondary particles,crustal matters,sea salt and trace elements. Organic material was the largest contributor,accounting for about 32.7% of the total PM2.5 mass concentrations. 2Autophagy activation aggravates neuronal injury in the hippocampus of vascular dementia rats显示文摘It remains unclear whether autophagy affects hippocampal neuronal injury in vascular dementia. In the present study, we investigated the effects of autophagy blockade on hippocampal neuronal injury in a rat model of vascular dementia. In model rats, hippocampal CA1 neurons were severely damaged, and expression of the autophagy-related proteins beclin-1, cathepsin B and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 was elevated compared with that in sham-operated animals. These responses were suppressed in animals that received a single intraperitoneal injection of wortmannin, an autophagy inhibitor, prior to model establishment. 3Low-temperature conversion of ammonia to nitrogen in water with ozone over composite metal oxide catalyst显示文摘As one of the most important water pollutants, ammonia nitrogen emissions have increased year by year, which has attracted people's attention. Catalytic ozonation technology, which involves production of ·OH radical with strong oxidation ability, is widely used in the treatment of organic-containing wastewater. In this work, MgO-Co_3O_4 composite metal oxide catalysts prepared with different fabrication conditions have been systematically evaluated and compared in the catalytic ozonation of ammonia(50 mg/L) in water. In terms of high catalytic activity in ammonia decomposition and high selectivity for gaseous nitrogen, the catalyst with MgO-Co_3O_4 molar ratio 8:2, calcined at 500°C for 3 hr, was the best one among the catalysts we tested, with an ammonia nitrogen removal rate of 85.2% and gaseous nitrogen selectivity of44.8%. In addition, the reaction mechanism of ozonation oxidative decomposition of ammonia nitrogen in water with the metal oxide catalysts was discussed. Moreover, the effect of coexisting anions on the degradation of ammonia was studied, finding that SO_2-4 and HCO-3 could inhibit the catalytic activity while CO_2-3 and Br-could promote it. The presence of coexisting cations had very little effect on the catalytic ozonation of ammonia nitrogen. 4The wheat MYB-related transcription factor TaMYB72 promotes flowering in rice显示文摘Through large-scale transformation analyses, Ta MYB72 was identified as a flowering time regulator in wheat. Ta MYB72 is a MYB family transcription factor localized to the nucleus. Three Ta MYB72 homologs,Ta MYB72-A, Ta MYB72-B and Ta MYB72-D, cloned from hexaploid wheat were mapped to the short arm of the group 6 chromosomes. Under the long-day conditions,over-expression of the Ta MYB72 in rice shortened the flowering time by approximately 12 d. 5Luminescent metal nanoclusters for biomedical applications显示文摘Luminescent metal nanoclusters (NCs) have recently emerged as a novel class of luminescent nanomaterials and hold significant potential in biomedicine owing to their ultrasmall (<2nm) size,excellent photostability,and good biocompatibility.The recent rapid advances in the synthesis and functionalization of luminescent metal NCs have enabled scientists to develop colorful nanomaterials and nanodevices for a wide range of biomedical applications.In this review,we summarize the characteristics and advantages of luminescence from metal NCs,and highlight their applications in biomedicine.We focus on the research in biomedical detection,bio-imaging,drug delivery,and therapy,especially for the advances in the last five years.Luminescent metal NCs display a series of unique superiorities in biomedical applications,and the recent achievements have brought a lot of benefits to the diagnosis and treatment of clinical diseases,especially for tumors and cancers.Finally,we put forward the main challenges that currently still hinder the basic science studies and the practical development of luminescent metal NCs in biomedical applications.Overall,we expect that luminescent metal NCs will play a much more important role in future biomedicine and clinical applications.Yu Su Tiantian Xue Yuxin Liu Jinxia Qi Rongchao Jin Zhenkun Lin 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:6

7Wnt3a expression during the differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells into cholinergic neurons显示文摘The present study analyzed changes in Wnt3a expression during differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells into cholinergic neurons.Immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence revealed significantly increased nestin,neuron-specific enolase,microtubule-associated protein 2,and choline acetyltransferase expression in adipose-derived stem cells isolated from Sprague-Dawley rats and cultured in vitro in neural-induced medium.These expressions increased with prolonged induction time.Real-time reverse transcription-PCR and western blot assay results demonstrated significantly increased choline acetyltransferase and Wnt3a protein and mRNA expressions,respectively,in adipose-derived stem cells following induction.Choline acetyltransferase expression positively correlated with Wnt3a protein and mRNA expressions.These results demonstrated that neural-induced medium induced differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells into cholinergic neuronal-like cells,with subsequent increased Wnt3a expression.Bin Liu Chunying Deng Yuqin Zhang Jinxia Zhang 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,19:3
8Lacunar infarction with leukoaraiosis may aggravate cognitive dysfunction显示文摘This study semi-quantitatively analyzed the effects of leukoaraiosis.Patients with moderate or severe lacunar infarction were found to exhibit low scores on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (F=12.02,P=0.000),and prolonged P300 Cz2.0 latency (F=16.04,P=0.000).Correlation analysis revealed that the occurrence of leukoaraiosis was negatively correlated with Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores (r=-0.416,P=0.000),and positively correlated with P300 Cz2.0 latency (r=0.538,P=0.000).These findings indicate that leukoaraiosis aggravates cognitive impairment in patients with lacunar infarction,such that more severe leukoaraiosis is associated with more severe cognitive decline.Dejin Sun Xueqin Zhang Penju Liu Jiechun Chen Jinxia Cao Aixia Zhuang Qinghong Zeng Shouqin Feng Yi Zhang Jiandong Jiang 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,31:3
9Novel thermal expansion of lead titanate显示文摘Lattice parameters of lead titanate were precisely re-determined in the ternperature range of-150-950℃ by high precision XRPD measurements. It was clarified that there was no any evidence for a new phase transition at low temperatures. Tetragonal distortion strain decreases with temperature increasing. A novel thermal expansion was observed, positive thermal expansion from-150℃ to room temperature (RT) and above 490℃, and the negative thermal expansion in the temperature range of RT-490℃. A big jump of thermal expansion coefficient is attributed to the tetragonal-cubic phase transition. A rationalization for the negative thermal expansion of PbTiO3 is due to the decrease of anion-anion repulsion as polyhedra become more regular at heating. 10HSP70L1-mediated intracellular priming of dendritic cell vaccination induces more potent CTL response against cancer显示文摘Heat-shock protein(HSP)-based immunotherapy is established on its adjuvant effects when applied via an extracellular approach to pulse and activate dendritic cells(DCs).Our previous studies indicate that DCs pulsed with recombinant fusion proteins of antigenic fragment and HSP70-like protein 1(HSP70L1)are potent in stimulating antigen-specific Th1 responses.We herein evaluated the cytotoxic T cell(CTL)response by an intracellular approach of priming DCs with transfection of recombinant adenovirus-expressing the fusion gene of the 576–699 fragment of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and HSP70L1.As compared with DCs pulsed with extracellular fusion protein,the DCs transfected with recombinant adenovirus expressing the fusion gene displayed equivalent mature phenotypes but less inflammatory appearance.However,the transfected DCs were superior to the pulsed DCs in inducing CEA-specific CTLs.Consistently,immunization of HLA-A2.1/H-2Kb transgene mice with the transfected DCs could induce more quantities of HLA-A2.1-restricted CEA-specific CTLs,protecting nude mice more significantly from human CEA-expressing colon tumor challenge when adoptively transferred.Mechanistic investigation indicated that intracellular expression of the fusion protein empowered the transfected DCs by activation of STAT1 possibly via inducing IFN-βand ERK pathways.Therefore,the more potent ability to induce anti-CEA CTL responses enables the DCs,which transfected with recombinant adenovirus expressing the fusion gene of antigenic CEA fragment and Th1 adjuvant,as an alternative promising approach for the immunotherapy of CEA-positive tumors.Shuxun Liu Lin Yi Ma Ling Jinxia Jiang Lijun Song Juan Liu Xuetao Cao 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,2:2
11Variations of alkenone temperature in the Sea of Japan during the last 170 ka and its paleoceanographic implications显示文摘Two sediment cores, KCES1 and ODP797,which were recovered from the Sea of Japan(JS), were measured for alkenone-derived sea surface temperatures(UK037-SSTs). Our results revealed that the SSTs closely follow the glacial-interglacial cycles during the last 170 ka,except in the last glacial maximum(LGM), during which the SST was higher than in the Holocene. The anomalous high temperature in the LGM is considered as an effect of the intrusion of a low salinity water mass into the JS when the sea level was almost below 130 m. On the glacialinterglacial to orbital timescale, the UK037-SSTs record in the JS correlated well with the benthic foraminiferal d18 O record and solar insolation, which suggests the dominant control of solar insolation and its related sea ice development on the SST in the JS. On the sub-orbital/millennial timescale, reduced SST corresponds to an enhanced east asian winter monsoon(EAWM) during the last glacial period(MIS3 and MIS4), indicating the dominant control of sea ice expansion due to the enhanced EAWM on the SST in the JS. In contrast, during the last interglacial period(MIS5), the SST in the JS was controlled by variations in the east Asian summer monsoon. 12Structure and Property of AgLaY Alloy显示文摘The structure of RE-Ag alloy was observed and analyzed using electron probe. The property changes of the alloy containing two rare earth elements AgLaY during cold forming and the high temperature softening-resistance dur- ing annealing were studied using Vickers hardness tester. The distribution and action of the rare earth elements in Ag- alloy were also analyzed. Experimental results show that AgLaY alloy has more remarkable work-hardening effect than AgLa and pure silvet, and it also has better thermal-resistance. The effects of RE elements, La and Y, on the properties of Ag-alloy are attributable to their symbiotic distribution and complementary function. Because of the common proper- ties of La and Y as RE elements, they have the completely similar distribution in Ag-alloy. 13Determinants of agricultural water saving technology adoption:an empirical study of 10 provinces of China显示文摘In recent years,China has been faced by an increasingly severe water shortage due to the continual growth of demand on water resources.Although the Chinese government has been actively promoting the agricul-tural water-saving technology adoption,it is ill-informed of the adoption degree of the current agricultural water-saving technologies as well as the function of the governmental policies.Therefore,this paper analyzes the aforesaid problems based on investigative data of 10 provinces in China.The results demonstrate that although there is a rapid increase of adopted agricultural water-saving technologies,the actual adoption area is rather limited.Moreover,the governmental policies and scarcity of water resources are the determinants of agricultural water-saving technology adoption.Ultimately,the paper proposes some policy suggestions.Liu Yu Huang Jikun Wang Jinxia Scott Rozelle 2008Ecological Economy2008,4,4:2

19The E3 ubiquitin ligase NEDD4-1 protects against acetaminophen-induced liver injury by targeting VDAC1 for degradation显示文摘Acetaminophen(APAP)overdose is a major cause of liver injury.Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally downregulated 4—1(NEDD4-1)is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that has been implicated in the pathogenesis of numerous liver diseases;however,its role in APAP-induced liver injury(AILI)is unclear.Thus,this study aimed to investigate the role of NEDD4-1 in the pathogenesis of AILI.We found that NEDD4-1 was dramatically downregulated in response to APAP treatment in mouse livers and isolated mouse hepatocytes.Hepatocyte-specific NEDD4-1 knockout exacerbated APAP-induced mitochondrial damage and the resultant hepatocyte necrosis and liver injury,while hepatocyte-specific NEDD4-1 overexpression mitigated these pathological events both in vivo and in vitro.Additionally,hepatocyte NEDD4-1 deficiency led to marked accumulation of voltage-dependent anion channel 1(VDAC1)and increased VDAC1 oligomerization.Furthermore,VDAC1 knockdown alleviated AILI and weakened the exacerbation of AILI caused by hepatocyte NEDD4-1 deficiency.Mechanistically,NEDD4-1 was found to interact with the PPTY motif of VDAC1 through its WW domain and regulate K48-linked ubiquitination and degradation of VDAC1.Our present study indicates that NEDD4-1 is a suppressor of AILI and functions by regulating the degradation of VDAC1.Yiwei Zhu Lin Lei Xinghui Wang Linfang Chen Wei Li Jinxia Li Chenchen Zhao Xiliang Du Yuxiang Song Wenwen Gao Guowen Liu Xinwei Li 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,4:1
